Sonic and Gargantia were contacted by God for another mission. The mission involved the Princess of the Seven Rings, when her entire family perished, and there was a war between her and her sister and her kingdom. Sonic was summoned to his new world but was trapped by a band called the Guardians of the Seven Rings that allowed themselves to be taken back and the remaining heroes to escape. Gargantia helped Sonic escape but was brought against himself with the help of his new ally, Voldermort and his powerful Giga Knight, who was the King of The Seven Rings and his army. Before departing, Voldermort spoke to Sonic about the fact that Sonic was dead and that if he came back to life instead of being frozen in time to save Gargantia, Voldermort would surely be killed. While at Chatham Castle, Sonic discovered that Gargantia's family had been captured by the Black Knights of the Serenity to be released from prison. In exchange for being freed of his son, Sonic and Gargantia fought alongside the Black Knights of Chatham, the Black Knights of the Moth, and the Black Knights of the Shadow Moon. Sonic and Gargantia fought the Black Knights of Chatham in single-handedly until their last breath, but he and his fellow heroes were easily defeated.
Lionel was shown to have died after his last breath, and has been reborn as the King of the Seven Rings for about six years. The Black Knights of Chatham claimed that the Black Knights of the Moth and their allies were under the control of Loki, that it would be good for King Sauron to have the White Wolf captured and that he would have another fight with the Black Knight, who he described to Sonic as a "blowing man". The Black Knights of Chatham, in order to destroy the White Wolf, were able to defeat and destroy the Black Knights of the Shadow Moon by sacrificing the last of its members in the battle against the Black Knights while retaining the White Wolf for their own. Following this victory, The Black Knights of the Moth began to rule over the White Wolf, who was used as an example of the power of violence when the White Wolf attacked them. They eventually used their war effort against Sonic to eliminate the White Wolf itself and then used the same tactic against Sonic himself when he was defeated by a new group of Black Knights of Chatham. Following this, the Black Knights of Chatham had to face off with the Black Knights of the Shadow Moon, with The Black Knights of the Moth in the lead up to the battle. The Shadow Moon was given the choice between giving up all of its members, or they became the Black Knights of Chatham. The Black Knights of Chatham gave up all of their members, and instead created ichlorobacti, as the Black Knights now call it. They then put aside their bloodlines and formed the Chatham Order, which was also called the "Blood Knights", which was meant to allow for a separate bloodline for Chatham. Sonic and Gargantia went to war with ichlorobacti. These two monsters were killed by Sonic in order to protect himself and save Chatham.
The battle began on the planet Thaiga. Sonic and Gargantia killed multiple members of the Black Knights. After Gargantia was absorbed into the White Whale, Sonic and Sonic's clones battled the monsters and gained access to all of the various levels of the White Whale.
After some time, the White Whale was sealed shut by a mysterious entity and Gargantia escaped. Following this event, Sonic became the hero of Battle of Sonic, while Sonic and Gargantias used the space created by the White Whale to travel together from Earth to space to battle the beings, who were responsible for the destruction of many of their species. However, their journey had taken them far from home on Sonic's last appearance on the battlefield. In the process, Sonic was sent as an ambassador to Earth, and made a promise to Sonic at his heart, but in reality he had been sent to Earth because he was the Chosen One of the Dark Side and could not bring himself to do much. When the White Whale was finally located, Sonic's first moment in the spotlight was when Sonic came out of a deep slumber and was greeted by a hologram.
Seeing it, Sonic turned around to see Gargantia in shining gold and said in surprise: "Is it the Beast or the Monster?" Gargantia immediately attacked Sonic as Sonic stopped her and said, "It is not! It is all a dream. You are the Light, the one that sees the Dark Side and sees the way it has come. It will live on forever and to be with me forever, one day, you will never be able to get to me. When we first meet you, you shall see me alive again, the time when you once saw the Dark Side live, I will see you in pure light and you shall see with all your might. I am the Dark; I will save the day!" "I am not the Beast!" Sonic said as he held Gargantia's hand. What was he thinking? "You mean your powers, Gargantia? Do you have the ability to do it?" Gargantia nodded silently, but that wasn't enough. "You can make the Light or you can make the Monster, and I do not have that power but it is impossible. Even you who knows the Dark Side understand that your power already exists. Those are the facts of reality. The Beast lives with you."
