(Three days later)
A crisp blue morning found Suzu and an entourage of friends and family waiting at the train station. Honestly the girl thought that this day would take weeks or perhaps months to see fruition. But through a combination of the tireless efforts of Hiroka's technical wizardry, the sheer mother henning of her choir aunties, and the good word of Justin towards any next of kin; the whole affair was reaching a conclusion mere days after it all began.
If the internet idol was being honest with herself though, perhaps her friends and aunties were being a little TOO invested in this affair… She wasn't going to hear the end of her "all too familiar affection for eighth grader bad boys" for the rest of her days…
" Are you sure all of you want to be here for this?" the highschooler asked through a grimace. "I mean, I'm sure you all have other things you need to do right now…"
Hiroka replied to such an absurd request with a wicked cackle. "Oh-ho-ho no, we're not missing this for the world princess. What better way to spend my morning than watching my best friend be whisked away on a white steed and ride off into the sunset~" the techy finished with a flourish.
"D-d-don't say that!" Flustered Suzu. "You're the one that admitted-" before she could finish Hiroka desperately slapped her hand over the offending orifice while sporting a crimson complexion that rivaled the songstresses (begging for her friend to shut up).
The good natured teasing was cut off by the laughter of all those in attendance. After a brief measure of where they were, the two highschoolers couldn't help but join in. After regaining her composure Suzu turned to address her choir mates.
"Seriously, what can i ever do to repay you all for taking them in?"
"It really is no trouble my dear" the eldest of the group replied.
"Besides, after everything we've seen a good womanly hand may be just what these boys need if they're going to grow up responsibly" the teacher of the group added.
Seeing a trend Hiroka piled in "And you know that I have to pick that kids brain for those programs. With him by my side, the world will be mine by the end of the week!"
"Don't forget his older brother!" interrupted Kamishin. "With me graduating, who better to carry on the legacy of the kayak club than the dragon himself?!"
"Not before the basketball club gets to him first" Shinobu replied with a smirk.
This devolved into each member of the entourage excitedly placing stock into what they would get the boys involved in, ranging from sports teams to universities to even an odd "prime minister of Japan". In the midst of the chaos Shinobu subtly sidled up to his childhood friend.
" You know what I'm most excited about Suzu?" the whispered conspiratorially. Receiving a shake of the head from her he continued " meeting my rival for your heart face to face…" the basketball player finished with a subtle wink.
Before the poor girl could have a complete nervous breakdown, Ruka called over the crowd announcing the train's arrival. And just like that, Kei and Tomo were standing right across from them (the latter of which wasted no time dashing over to his savior to embrace her).
The moment the dragon and the freckled princess' eyes connected, the world seemed to truly fall back into place.
"... it's nice to meet you, Suzu" he greeted with the gentlest expression possible.
"... It's nice to meet you Kei" true to her online namesake Belle adopted a smile more radiant than the sun. "Welcome home."
The End
