Chapter Three: Frivolity
A week had past since your 'apology' from Monty. You two had been on good terms so every time you bumped into each other, which seemed unusually often given that you never had interactions with any of them for the first four months of working there, Monty was generally positive with you. He got a kick out of soft flirts and playful jabs that you would promptly dismiss. You actually looked forward to seeing him now, somehow he managed to make you laugh every time you got together.
Today you were clearing up the West arcade, sanitising all machines and tending to the dance floor. The DJ was idle today, now the kids were gone, he was charging up as you cleaned the arcade area. When you got down to the dance floor, you woke him up with your movements. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to wake you." You say loudly so he can hear. Holy shit, he was fucking massive. You had seen him a few times but actually being here and talking to him made you dizzy to look up to high. His long sounded arms reached up, flicking on his Bluetooth to his speakers. He then pointed to your phone and then the speakers, making a motion which signalled music. "You want me to play my music on the arcade speakers?" You asked, trying to understand if that is what he was asking. He gave you a big thumbs up, that was a yes then! You chuckled a little and nodded, "Sure, I can do that. Since there isn't any kids around, why not." There was no one in the arcade so you assumed it would just be you and the DJ.
You connected your phone and hit play, the speaker booting up and blasting 'CPR by CupcakKe'. You wasn't sure if the DJ understood the lyrics but he was busting out moves to it, one hand on his headphones and the other fist pumping in the air. He seemed genuinely happy! He must be sick of kids music and you couldn't blame him. As you were sweeping the floor, you feel your body start to move and you pick up the broom and start singing along. Today was a good day, it was payday and you hadn't had a bad thought yet- you just felt happy and carefree. You deserved a little break! Why shouldn't you enjoy a little self indulgent time at work. You grasp your broom and start to embarrassingly belt the lyrics, "I save dick by givin' CPR, I put my mouth on it like CPR, Let's make porn-"
A hand suddenly grabs your shoulder firmly and you turn with a high pitched, slightly frightened shriek, Chica and Roxy had come over to you in fits of laughter. "Y/N, you do know that this song is blasting through the whole Pizzaplex? As in, every speaker! Even the daycare has this playing!" Chica said as she was trying not to laugh but Roxy burst out into a booming laugh, "You are a fucking legend, this is great!" Roxy laughing sent Chica into cackling fits of laughter too. You were so busy laughing alongside the pair that you hadn't spotted Monty watching you up on the spiral stairs. He had come down when Freddy had come in to tell you off but as soon as Freddy stepped onto that dance floor, his dance programming kicked in. He started to dance, waving his hands around and shaking his legs and hips to the beat. The explicit lyrics were blasting and Freddy Fazbear was throwing it back, even Monty couldn't hold in his laughs once he saw Freddy going crazy but his face was so mad.
As you were holding your side with eyes filled with hysterical tears, you were tugged back against a metal chest and some big hands gently touched your sides, "Maybe you could give my dick some CPR?" He said just loud enough for you to hear, the others too busy dancing beside Freddy to hear or see. You felt your body flush with heat and not just your cheeks. Monty was absolutely relentless with these flirts!
Before you could think to deny him or even accept his offer, you blur out, "You've got a dick?!" You turn to look at him with a shocked face which clearly made the alligator more than content, smug almost.
He nodded, "Of course, doll. Wanna see it? You'll need two hands if you wanna play show n' tell." He stuck his silicone tongue out and pulled his glasses down for his signature wink. You press your hands against his face, pushing him back and was feeling a little embarrassed but you couldn't tell if he was serious or if this was more playfully jokes.
"I-Idiot!" Was all you could stutter out, insulting him like some teenager. Monty saw you were unsure but wouldn't ruin a good moment by pressuring anything, not yet anyway. It's not like you said no and he could work with that!
After about 10 minutes of fun, they did have to stop. Management came down and had a go at everyone for being childish. The music got stopped but just for those few minutes, everything felt so right. No one had a care in that moment, it was just fun. Chica pulled her friends into a hug, "I needed that! Thank you, Y/N!" She said softly before pulling you into the hug. You leaned in just a little, "Let's do it again some time." You say back just as gently.
Roxy let the hug go on for only a few seconds before disbanding everyone. "Hey, you going to the staff party? I've heard you've been here for months and not gone." She said, "You better not be boring and not come tomorrow. Plus, 20% off on human drinks." She reminded you.
Every month, the staff had their own 'pizza party'. Management only do it as a requirement for employee mental health, so everyone feels 'appreciated'.
"There will be cake!" Chica chimed in, she loved the cake. The staff party wouldn't be so bad with these guys there, at least you'd have someone to talk to. Parties really weren't your thing, especially work ones. Staff still were required to dress smart however. "I guess I'll go, I'll at least get to see Vanessa. Sure, why not." You agreed to the party, getting drunk was always an option too. Vanessa always raved about how good Fazbear branded alcohol was and with the 20% staff discount and just being paid, it was a dangerous mix! You just had to dig out a decent dress and heels for the night.
Once you all parted ways, Monty decided to follow you like some lost kid. "Hey, Y/N. I want to talk to you alone for a sec…it's nothin' bad, I don't think." That caught your attention and you felt a weird feeling press in your chest. You hated any conversation that had to start like this! You just had a feeling that this wouldn't be a good chat.
