Chapter 002 - Technical Goalie

It is the 4th Period of School in Houston's Gold Era High. Derek is in his formal school-wear. Over his white shirt is a blue plaque shirt, long sleeve. It is open to show his dark-green colored symbols, a Joystick, a Game Controller, and a Computer Mouse, all in triangle formation. And he always keep his glasses. His Techno-Bracers kept under on his arms under the long-sleeve shirt, but only one for his left arm. Derek is no Cheater when it comes to physical activities, and education. He respects the rules and fairness outside battes and his search for the Shen-Gong-Wu. His Mobile Phone set to Busy Mode, and put away in his School Locker.

Derek, is among the students who is the only Human here. It is the Era when mankind around the globe evolved into anthromorphics, while those still human remain human are Xiaolin Warriors, or Supporters. Derek is immune to the special serum, but he still has such magic powers.

Just like him, other Students going to the Lockers Room, and rearranging stuff. Chatter is going on.

"Did you hear about the Secret Xiaolin Warriors?" The male Hippogriff in Red clothing asked, "Looks like they're turning hostile."

"Well they're getting what they deserve." said the techno-colored changeling, female and in Yellow Clothing. "They say it's justice against Mandatory Transformation, but we can't forget what they did to the other People."

'That I agree too.' Derek thoughted, 'After watching the news yesterday... I've lost all hope for the Xiaolin Warriors. They may think as Good Guys, but Public Execution is not Justice.' He closed the Locker room and get ready for the next Period.

He backs up just as he's about to bump into someone. He almost bumped into a Pale violet Hippogriff Girl. Dark Blue mane with white stripes, Orange fiery eyes shine to him. Both surprised. She wears a white button up shirt with a red bowtie, and a blue knee skirt.

"Sorry about that." Derek said, "You were about to bump into me."

"Aww, that's unfun. Let me try again." She gots up and sprints up, but Derek dodged that with a Side step, repeating that two more times. "Oh NO FAIR!" she Cries out, "You're ruining the Anime Cliche!"

"Eggshell Cloud, That's enough!" A Brightly yellow Changeling was the one to calm her down, also female, "This isn't time for Cliches. We got class." her buggy hair is orange, her choice of wearing is white athletic, and brown sweatpants.

"Almost like she's attacking me." Derek said,

"Sorry about her." the Changeling said, "Eggshell is always into those Anime."

"Name's Derek Ruth." he introduced, "A Spicer."

"Derek Ruth...?" she repeated the name, "Denzi-Tenna...but it seems I know that name from before. From the visions."

"Really?" Derek said,

"Nevermind. It's nothing." Denzi shook her head, "We should get to class now." and she left with the Hippogriff.

Derek is now outside in his Sports Wear. Purple shirt, Gray Sweat Pants, Gloves, and his own White Tennis Shoes, outside at the Soccer Field. Derek is one of the Three Goalies for the Soccer Team. Right now, it's Rubies and Sapphires, just like Skins vs Shirts. So Derek will have to Wear the Sapphire Colored Shirt.

No surprising that Derek sees Six Famous students, ones who exposed the Corruptive Student President Cozy Glow. Derek does not know much about it since his Homeschooling before being sent there to Gold Era High.

The Pink Bubbly Birb Silverstream. The Blue Tough Birb Gallus. The Easy-Going Pony Sandbar. The cyan ladybug changeling Ocellus. The Orange Dragon Smolder, and the Brown Muscular Gal Yona.

Only those four of the six were on the Rubies Side. But Derek remained cool and calm about this. Even though they defeated Cozy Glow, they still couldn't break through the Goalie that is Derek.

"It's that same Goalie," Smolder pointed at the Man, "The Human."

"Derek Ruthos, is it?" Sandbar said, "He's our team's strongest Goalie."

"Big Deal." Gallus tched, "It's only because he got super luck powers."

"I disagree. It's his skills." Ocellus said, turning to give a Scolding Look, "Gallus, it's maybe because you kept underestimating what he does."

"Come on! I've beaten him many times!" Gallus groaned,

"And he's learned everything." Ocellus said, "He can't be Useless forever."

"That Sole Man." Yona stared, "Sole Man changed."

"How so?" asked Silverstream,

"Sole Man not petty and weak." Yona answered, "Got more mass."

"Was it after he went to the Xiaolin Temple?" Sandbar asked,

"I don't think so." Ocellus said, "He says he doesn't have the Robe. So I assumed the Xiaolin Denied him membership."

"They have to be Bullies!" Silverstream growled, "Aunt Novo told stories about them."

A Tweet interrupts their conversation, and all Six gets into position. "Alrighty, Rubies and Sapphires!" said the Pony Coach, as the Orange Pony Referee carries the Soccer Ball. "Time to play!"

The Six Students Derek knows have their own Soccer Roles. Smolder and Gallus are the Forwarders, Gallus being the strong Striker, while Smolder is the Winger.

Silverstream, Ocellus, and Sandbar the Midfielders. Ocellus and Sandbar are the Attacker and Defenders of the Midfileders, while Silverstream takes the Center Mid.

Yona meanwhile is the Full-Back, a Defending Role.

Derek watches and let his Teammates do the Shooting and the Attacking. But then Smolder catches the Ball, and dribbles with Gallus to the Sapphire Goal Field. Smolder positions and Kicks the Ball! Gallus jumps and headshoots!

Derek pulls his plunger fist backwards "Think like a Concrete Wall. Think like a Concrete Wall. Think like a Concrete Wall." while his left hand does the ironsight aiming. He can imagine himself, a Reinforced Concrete Wall, with Cement and Iron bars, enough to stand a hit against a Flying Cannon Ball. Then he lunges his punch. A big pow that knocks the flying Soccer Ball, and Gallus dodged it coming. One of the Sapphire players catches the ball and watches the Rubies fight for the Ball.

Here it comes again! This time it's Smolder. "THINK FAST!" A powerful punt that sends the Soccer Ball on Fire and flying. Derek positions as his fist is pulled back for plunging.

POW! His fist meets the Soccer Ball, just like shooting the Pinball. Smolder flies up and kicks it back, but Derek punches it back again. Both Smolder and Derek having a Ping Pong Fight. Thirty Seconds passed, and one of the Yak in Sapphires comes behind and waves.

"Sapphire Open! Derek will shoot long!"

Derek nodded, and catches the Ball! He tosses it upwards, grabs the Goal Net Post and leaps up, before combining both fist into a Hammer for a long range shot. The Sapphire Player catches the Ball and dribbles with another.

To Smolder, she looks shocked. She's never seen Derek played this Serious now.

The Sapphrie Duos dribbling the Soccer Ball, and not even Yona could catch up when this one does an Artillery Shot. The Ruby Goalie shot along to the Goal Net.

Another Ball, and Gallus has the Ball this time. He dribbles 5 miles, then Passes long to Smolder. Dribbling there, and then a Shot. Derek catches the ball with his legs. He picks up the ball and toss. Lefty Sapphire Player catches with the Chest and passes to other Sapphires, while the Rubies tries to catch it. Ocellus manages to catch it however, She punts it into the air, Buzzes to the Air and does a Karate Kick, a shot that could score...

But Derek Is still on tha stance for whenever any Rubies prepares a Special Shot. Derek pulling his plunger fist back, Thinking like a Concrete, before lunging it front, curving while one of the Sapphire Players positions. The ball goes for the Sapphire's Chest, and it dribbles with the other one.

Smolder recognized the ones dribbling. "Pink Ember and Flame?" she whispered, "Did they transfer from Warfang High?" she gives a sizzling Glare. Ones who belong to the Warfang, are Smolder's rivals. They bested Smolder in the High School Cup. "Damn it! I will not let them Upstage me!"

Ocellus can see that Smolder is giving a bitter glare

A Loud Tweet can be heard, "Okay Fellas, that's one half of the Mock Battle." said the Coach, "Derek, Good Job on the Concrete Punch. Take good rest, you've earned it."

Derek smiled, "Thanks, Coach."

Ocellus goes to the Coach. "He still have his Techno-Bracers, Right?"

"The ones he Invented?" Coach said, "Yes, but he already knows better than to use them."

"Huh? What do you mean?" Smolder asked,

"I mean he's no Cheater." Coach said, "This Kid I know actually follows his own Code and I respect him. Ever since the fall of the Xiaolin Monks, he's been devoting to Train by himself."

"Wait... The Fall of Xiaolin?" Ocellus asked,

"Oh you didn't know, Ocellus?" Coach said, "I'll bring you up to speed."

Derek meanwhile on the bench, gives a fist bump to the other Goalie, while he pulls his left sleeve back and uses the Keypad just as it starts blinking gold yellow. "Shen Gong Wu." Derek said, as the Object Opens up. It looks like a Hand Scope, extendable, but has an Avian Beak on the other side. "The Eagle Scope. This acts like giving you eyes of the Eagle by looking through it. Hmm... This includes seeing Organs and what's inside the Computers." Derek upon reading, looks very intrigued about this new item. "It's right here in Houston. Eight Miles to the South Semi-west. I should check it out right after school."
