Chapter 004 - Smuggling Cute Bug
Another Schoolday in Gold Era High. Derek has finished putting stuff in his locker. Same ol Same ol School Locker. It is the first day in School. The Pale Blue Haired yellow Unicorn Teacher.
Glowing Sunpie. Derek thoughted, Who wanted me to learn Spells without Book or Word from Others.
"Have you figure out the basic spell by yourself?" Glowing asked, giving him a Stern look, "Please say yes and show me."
"I'm not answering that." Derek said, walking away while giving a Glare, "Give me detention all you want, my ways going to stay the same with my words and ways."
That actually stun Glowing Sunpie, as Derek walks away. heading to the next class before the School Bell rings. He sends back with his deathly glare.
"He must do this without help or any Books. And no Silly Technology!" he mumbles, "Unleash out of Creative mind." with a 'hmm' out of his mouth while rubbing his chin, eyes closed, "Desperate Times calls for Desperate Measures."
It is the second period, teachers start babbling lectures out of his mouth. But he noticed his backpack played around. He turns to find the Blue Changeling.
"O-Ocellus?" Derek shushed, "That's my Backpack."
"It's alright." she assured, "I'm just sneaking a copy of Spellbook for Beginners here." she zips it up and returns to her position before Teacher turns around. But when she sees Derek, his Glasses is lighting up red, which Derek tries to cover it. "What is that?"
"Just my Hi-Tech Glasses." Derek whispered, "It lights up when a Shen-Gong-Wu is discovered by my Drones."
"Shen-Gong-Wu?" she said, "I remember those legends."
"Bringing it up to speed, I'm trying to keep it from the Selfish Xiaolin Monks." Derek answered, "I was planning to join them back then... but after what I heard..."
"It's all in the past." Ocellus said, "You took the right choice by not."
"High Paw?" Teacher raised hsi voice, luckly not to Derek, "I did say Easy Mode equals no Pain."
"But it's a new Video Game I want to try." High Paw said, "I can't risk it."
"Then... just toughen up." he respond, "Now, back to the History."
Ocellus however gave a Silent Glare to the Teacher, "You can't just do that to the newbie." her whisper follows
Afterclass, and many periods, Derek is outside eating out of his lunchbox. Leftovers from his supper. Pepperoni Pizza, homemade by his Mom. Derek uses the Lefty Techno-Bracers.
"Le Gata Paws. Pairs of Gloves with sharp claws that have greater grip power, can climb up walls whether or not it's made of wood or concrete." Derek studied, "Does make sense. It's west of Spain, between the borders of this and Portugal." he uses the Techno-Bracers on the left arm. "With the Info downloaded, I'd better recall the Drone and get started afterschool."
His head sits up as he noticed the people backing up. Derek got up and closed his Lunchbox before checking, to see there was a fight going on. Two random griffons having a wrestling. "Oh my god, not now." Derek turns around and heads inside the school, only to take backsteps to avoid bumping into the Headmare. A Pink Woman with Purple Mane and it's Light-blue lines. Starlight Glimmer is the current Headmare of the Gold Era High School.
"Oh Derek." she said,
"There's a Fight going on." Derek alerts, pointing at the direction, eyes widened out of the Headmare, "It's those two again."
"I'll take care of this." she fast walks up to the crowd, "Okay, Break it up. Break it up!"
Derek then sits down and finishes up his Slice of Pepperoni Pizza.
"I may be a Spicer." Derek swallow his bite of the pizza slice, "But I know my Standards in School."
It only takes hours until School is Done for today. Derek from his basement simply use the Portal Gate he invented to take him to Spain. He wanted to use it to warp at the Cemetary Spots, since nobody visits there everyday. Once there, he uses the Gyro Pack and take flight out of there, taking a turn to the west.
He reaches over through the patch of crops. "I see some good seeds they're building." Derek said, "Ah-ha! There's the Shen-Gong-Wu!" But then he turns around, "Feather Gliders." Derek recognized. "Hang Gliders used only by the Xiaolin Monks. Not Shen-Gong-Wus, but were empowered by Enough Wind Chi from the Chi Generator Wards so they can fly indefinetly. Yet..." Derek speed chops with his Gyro, sliding down before giving a "Yoink!" "My Gyro has Plenty of Battery Power. And it's speed beats their Gliding!"
He lands and uses the Lefty Techno-Bracers. Opening the Portal to his side, and then walking through. "Not a One-Way Trip for this." He steps through into his Basement. He turns and sees the Blonde-Haired Brother Stoce, sprinting with fierce angering eyes. Derek gives a salute before the portal closes.
"Trying to do a Tiger Leap?" Derek assumed, "Too late for that." and stuck his tongue out at his brother trying to grab it.
He Carries the Shen Gong Wu to his new vault...His Bookshelves. Using the Button, the Bookshelf submerges behind the wall, and the Door slides closed.
Afterwards, retrieving the Spellbook given by Ocellus, left on the Computer Desk.
This Basement also acts as his Bedroom. He has his assembled Bed, Drawers, stand for his Television, Electric-powered Lamps to light up his Dark Room, and is obvious Computer Desk with three monitors. One Desktop Computer Stand is hooked up so He can launch the Drones, found in the Inner-Wall Shelves. He can see the Window out to the Grass, which he can use to launch Drones one by one. At least eight handbuilt by Derek himself, hovering by laser jets since Gyro will not work well in Rain, yet the Jet Drones are Water Proof.
Derek's eight small Drones are all AI Controlled, programmed by Derek himself. It scouts around for Shen-Gong-Wu, and it has good sonars for finding it. Upon reaching, it can scan and send all the Data to the Computer, but only the Compact Data and location to Derek's Glasses. All Battery Chargers done by Solar Generating Panels. Derek of course will have to take them to the outside through the window, and pull them back.
Derek also tinkered it to get Energy from Moonlight as well, but that's on Rare Occasions. "Only in Full Moon." Is Derek's option.
Derek opens the Spellbook showing Chapters of Basic Spells. "Levitation, Magic Dart, Flame Conjuration, Blinking, Shield, and Rain Clouds." He read in order, then skids through the pages to find Pictures, and mostly words of instructions. "This can truly help. Thanks, Ocellus."
"Derek. Time for Supper." With that, Derek closes the Book and heads upstairs.
"Alright! Chicken and Corn, Here I come!" Derek cheers,
Inside the Shadowy Room, The Bald-Haired Shaolin Master was watching through the Magic Crystal Ball, who spotted Derek defeating Thion with Cat's Eye Draco and the use of his Techno-Bracers on the right arm. Master Mao is the current master of the Xiaolin Temple. His Chinese Name Mao, which is Cat in English. His male sensei outfit is white and red, Kanji reading Baihu from top to bottom. His arms have Tiger Tattoos. Mao must have a liking for Tigers.
"Unbelievable." Master Mao said, "And Thion said he outwitted him?" he used the crystal ball to rewind and see he was using the Right-armed Techno-Bracers to fire Lasers, the Third Trigger also used to fire Hydro-Blast of Water. Derek defeating the Armor Ghosts combining Cat's Eye Draco and his Thermo Laser, shooting Beams of Plasma
Mao is right to confirm Thion's Fears that Derek will seek revenge for being turned down from becoming like the Shaolins. Only Derek's Brother Stoce is one. Mao wanted one per family and no exceptions. Denying Derek only made him Desperate in wanting to be a Warrior too. It was only after teleporting him back to earth with his memories wiped, made it even worse.
"Thion is Right. He could be a Problem." He nodded gravely, and walks to the Glass Window, which turns into the Magic Portal, showing a Face of an Orcish Person with a Crown, sitting at the Desk. "That settles it. Derek needs to perish. Otherwise, the Xiaolin Lineage will be doomed." He opens his eyes slightly, finally to meet the green orc face to face.
"Master Mao? What would someone want with Carone, the Top Ranked Merc and Leader?" he asks,
"There's a Certain Someone that I want taken Care of." Mao responded, "A Spicer by the name...of Derek Ruth. I believe your Armies will do."
