Episode 1: Chapter 2
Making her way alongside Gabe towards the front doors of the school, Clem smiled tightly.
'Well, here we go...man, and Pete kept this up for years, how did he even…?' She wondered.
She was jolted out of her thoughts by Gabe nudging her and nodding.
"Hey, Clem, check it out."
She followed where he indicated and wanted to scowl at him, as her face began to heat up. Approaching them was a girl slightly taller than Clem with short blonde hair and emerald green eyes with rather pale skin and strong features, she was quite skinny, dressed casually in worn jeans and a plain T-shirt under an unzipped hoodie. It was Violet Adlon, a girl Clem actually had a crush on.
"Seriously dude." She hissed at Gabe. "Not funny."
But she quickly composed herself as Violet had seen them and approached.
"Hey." She greeted them.
Gabe smiled. "Hi Violet, what's up?"
Violet grinned. "Just, looking forward to the upcoming trip, wouldn't you guys be?"
"I know I am." Clem replied with a smirk.
Gabe rolled his eyes while Violet turned to Clem, looking enthusiastic.
"I know right, I mean yeah, Oscorp's hosting but still...To actually hear from Dr. Octavius."
Clementine nodded in agreement. The following day the two girls along several classmates would be attending a school trip to the Oscorp Science Centre where one of the highlights, for Violet especially who admired the man, would be a speech relating to some new advances in his works from Dr. Otto Octavius.
Hearing the bell, Gabe smiled.
"Well, we better get to class, try not to get too distracted you two." He remarked.
Both girls rolled their eyes as Gabe left and began heading for their first class. Along the way Clem bit her lip, feeling awkward being so close to her crush.
'I...I'm not sure I could even begin to ask Violet...It's not as if she'd be interested in me, right?' She thought to herself. 'Besides, there's the danger too...not that I'd share my secret with her, but still-'
"Hey there ladies-" A male voice cut in.
"Don't even start." Violet remarked, albeit jokingly.
Clem knew right away who it was and sure enough it was a tall young man with dark skin, brown dreadlocked hair and brown eyes, a lanky build and an easy smile, their friend Louis Sulieman. Next to him, smirking at the banter between Louis and Violet was Marlon Chase, also tall, albeit with a stronger build, a blonde mullet with blue eyes, fair skin and a scar above his right eyebrow.
"You two never change." Marlon remarked. "Hey Clem, guess we've gotta put up with their usual crazy once more."
Clementine laughed. "C'mon, we'd never have any other way."
"True."
With that they entered the classroom and began their day, Clem just hoping that nothing happened that would cause any complications for them.
Heading for lunch at the cafeteria, Clem was accompanied by three other friends at the moment. A tall eighteen year old young man with medium length brown hair parted over his left eyebrow, brown eyes and fair skin, Mitch Daymond. The other was Omar Silverstein, a slightly chubby dark skinned sixteen year old man with brown afro hair, brown eyes and a casual smile. The third was Brody Burress, a girl of above medium height with fair skin, long auburn hair tied in a ponytail with light blue eyes and full lips, she also had quite a generous figure, being notably busty and round and while she had long but healthy, legs with somewhat thick thighs which only increased her sex appeal, shown by her denim mini skirt.
"Urgh, seriously…" Mitch was remarking, shaking his head.
Omar sighed. "Mitch, what did you expect, you act the class clown, you are gonna get detention."
Mitch scoffed. "You'd think they'd have a sense of humour."
Brody just laughed and then nodded. "There's the others, looks like our usual table is available."
The others nodded and noted she was right, Violet, Louis, Marlon and Gabe were already seated at the table along another girl and another boy. The girl was Ruby Hillis, who was no taller than five foot six with short red hair and blue eyes, pale skin with freckles, she was chubby albeit slightly more busty than Brody was, yet she was clearly comfortable in her own skin. The boy was taller with short neat dark brown hair; brown eyes and skin and dressed slightly more smartly, it was Aasim Rajan, another friend who Clem knew was crushing on Ruby.
'But like me with Violet, he's too scared to make a move, in his case, because he feels too shy to approach her.' She reflected to herself.
Even as they approached the table, they spotted two other girls approaching the table, two other friends. Both girls were taller than Clem, around five foot five. The first had short but thick black hair that didn't quite reach her shoulders, olive toned skin with soft brown eyes behind red framed slightly thick glasses, she was skinny, rather petite. The other girl was also petite with shoulder length brown hair with thick eyebrows and brown eyes as well as light tan skin. Their names were, respectively Sarah Chaikin and Becca Jones.
While the others went to join the table, Clem instead went to get some food. Before she reached the line however, she found her path blocked off, she looked up at the girl, who was notably taller, easily five foot eight with short red hair, the left side shaved, cold blue eyes and a scar in her left eyebrow and an average body that was still enough to turn heads of the boys who walked past. In fact in spite of the scar she, like Brody had what could be considered a models level of beauty.
"Minerva?" Clementine began, startled.
Minerva Leigh glared at her. "I'm warning you now, Everett. I've seen what you're up to."
Clem tensed at that, worried.
But then. "If you think Violet is ever gonna be interested in you, you're mistaken, she's mine and you know it."
Biting back a sigh of relief, Clem shook her head. "Um...You do remember Violet broke up with you four weeks ago, right."
"Don't you-" Minerva snarled, looking suddenly furious.
"Minnie, enough."
Minerva tensed and turned to see two others standing there, the first was Sophie, Minerva's twin sister, the only way to tell them apart being Sophie lacking a scar and having long hair instead, still equally beautiful. She also had warmer eyes. Sophia wasn't along either, with her was Clementine's childhood friend, he was lanky with short brown hair, brown eyes and fair skin with prominent ears, Kenny Hammon Jr. better known to those who were close to him as Duck.
"Sophie, I-"
Duck shook his head. "C'mon Clem."
With that he joined her and headed to the line while Sophie urged Minerva to leave. Clementine sighed and shook her head. She really didn't want to waste time tangling with Minerva, especially when she knew she could in fact seriously hurt the redhead if she wasn't careful. She just hoped there wouldn't be a repeat of that drama and that Minerva would take on board the fact she and Violet weren't together anymore.

With school over for the day Clem smiled lightly as she and Gabe made their way across the campus, heading for the bus stop.
"Well, another day and you still haven't made a move, huh Clem?" Gabe remarked.
Clem sighed. "C'mon Gabe, you know full well I can't do anything like that. I won't put Violet in potential danger like that, it's bad enough my family are in danger without knowing it, especially AJ."
"Hey, c'mon now. You know I'm in danger too, right?"
"That was because you insisted on helping me despite my warnings." Clem reminded him. "I do appreciate Gabe and I know it's dangerous for you...I'm trying to keep that number low however. That's why I can't approach Violet."
"Well, Clem, you know-"
But whatever Gabe was about to say was soon drowned out by the sounds of an alert on both their phones, they quickly checked and looked at each other.
"Bank robbery." Clem remarked. "Better go suit up."
"I'll find somewhere private and set up my things." Gabe replied.
They nodded and went their separate ways in a hurry and as soon as Clem was out of sight and nobody could see her she quickly removed her outer clothes, underneath she had on her Spider Suit. With everything else already prepped she pulled on her mask and shot out a web line to pull herself up into the sky and swung out, ready for action.
End of chapter, a little introduction to the other regular characters who will appear, and a slice of normal life, but next up, we begin the action, read and review please.
