Disclaimer - I don't own Guardians of the Galaxy. This is written for Froday Flash Fiction Challenge, specifically the January little special for 2022 where we're to write 100/200/300-word count stories. Which, while this is written for the Experimental Fic collection, the drabble isn't the experiment. It is telling something (story or otherwise) as Groot would tell it with another character's translations inserted between. It was actually quite fun and definitely something which can only be done with Groot.
I Am Groot (What a Groot Wants)
I am Groot.
So, Groot would like to go to the bookstore to buy this Harry Potter series he's heard so much about.
I am Groot.
Correction. Groot wants to go to the movie theater and see the movies.
I am Groot!
He doesn't care that the movies aren't in theater. He wants to see them in theater.
I am Groot.
Or actually going and buying the movies along with a device to play the moves on would work as well, he says.
I am Groot.
Yeah. He's in agreement we can pick it up next time we're on Earth.
