The vibration passed through the entire carrier and for a few seconds Serephina felt only glowing heat. Just as quickly as it had spread, it was gone again. Steve and Tony, who were still on the floor next to the girl, scrambled back up in front of her and all she heard the Captain say was, "Put the suit on!" and an approving murmur from Tony. Steve quickly helped Serephina up, her left ear ringing from the explosion and her skin unhealthily warm. The man pulled her with him into the corridor, away from the small flames in the lab. A few seconds passed before Serephina heard Nick's voice in her ear. "Hill?" the latter asked, panting softly. "External detonation! Engine three is out.", silence followed for a few seconds, then the crackle again, "Someone needs to get out there and fix that engine.", she added to her previous statement. "Serephina?", Nick then asked, just making sure the girl understood her task with that. "We'll take care of it!" she replied quickly, lowering her hand again. The two men in front of her looked at her in confusion as she suddenly stopped in the hallway. "Turbine three is out, we have to fix it again, I'll show you the way," she summarised Maria's explanation again as she heard Nick giving more orders.

Tony gave Steve a look that the girl could pretty much interpret. "I don't like working with you either, Stark. But right now we need your help and I'm not going to sit idly by and watch us fall into the sea, so." with that she pointed to one of the side corridors. Steve hesitated for a moment, but then nodded and followed the girl. "She's still a kid!" muttered Stark as he followed the two, but then he did. They walked down some corridors until they passed an empty hall, where Stark stopped. "I'll meet you there," he spoke simply, to which the captain nodded. The girl hesitated briefly, but then indicated to Steve to follow her.

The two hurried down the corridors and levels until they finally arrived in front of the metal door leading to Turbine Three. Serephina pulled hard on the metal door, but nothing happened. She looked briefly at the captain and then took a step back. While he pulled violently on the door, she was able to take a quick look around.

The chaos was already clear down here, cables hung from the ceiling, electricity kept twitching around in some places and ceiling tiles lay scattered around.

No sooner had Steve opened the door than three agents came towards them, whom Serephina eyed for a moment and then sent to the infirmary. Only when the three had moved away a little did she follow Steve out of the door. Immediately, out of reflex, she held onto the metal next to her. What was left of the control room were thin paths of metal running along the carrier, otherwise there was just a huge gaping hole in the machine. She could see straight down to earth. Subconsciously, the girl pressed herself closer to the metal behind her.

"Stark?" called Steve loudly after the millionaire, standing a few steps in front of her and looking around at the bright blue sky. A few seconds passed, during which Serephina took a few deep breaths, until Stark appeared in his suit. "Let's have a look, then," the man in the suit was heard to say as he turned his attention to the part to the left of the two of them, where sparks were flying everywhere.

Steve, meanwhile, turned to Serephina. "Are you all right?" he asked her, a little worried. The girl just nodded and breathed quietly as she slowly let go of the metal. "I need you to get over to the control unit and tell me which relays are overloaded," Tony pointed to a control unit one level above the two of them.

Steve just nodded and then jumped to one of the metal parts and swung over to the level. The girl took a quiet breath. "It's suicide," she whispered, and with that she took a running start and jumped off.
