She had caught up with the man after two turns and then kept pace with him. "Go home, girl.", Steve addressed her seriously when she had walked a few meters beside him. "I'm home." she replied simply, without stopping. Suddenly Rogers stopped and turned to the girl. "This isn't fun anymore little one. This is a fight!" he suddenly drove at her as if she didn't know. As if Phil hadn't died under her hands. As if she was just a 17-year-old girl, which the world doesn't understand. "I know that! You think I'm here because it's so nice? It's my job, Rogers. That's what I'm here for. People die, it happens but this fight is far from over, so let me help. Because I still can," she didn't speak angrily, Maria had trained her too well for that, instead she spoke almost coolly.

"You're a kid.", Steve finally just remarked, looking at the girl with a mixture of confusion and something Serephina couldn't interpret. "I may be young, but I haven't been a kid for a long time. I'm an agent, so let me do my job," she finally just replied, which only seemed to confuse the man even more. Eventually, though, he just sighed and stroked his tired eyes. "Come on then.", with that he finally went on. Serephina immediately kept up with him again, and the two walked to the chamber where Coulson had died only a few dozen minutes ago, and where Thor had fallen down.

Tony stood silently on one of the metal walkways that had led into the glass capsule earlier. He had his hands clasped behind his back and was staring at the metal device that separated the chamber from the outside world. Steve entered the chamber first, followed by Serephina. Steve leaned against the metal grate, of the walkway to Tony's right, and crossed his arms. The brunette, in turn, remained standing on the small steps in front of it, silently watching the men.

"Was he married?" asked Steve at one point into the silence, his voice echoing. "No.", Tony answered curtly, with Serephina adding, "There was a cellist.", she explained quietly. Tony didn't bother to look at either of them. "I'm sorry. He seemed like a good person.", Steve finally replied, looking at Tony. "He was a jerk.", with that Tony lifted his gaze again and finally looked at the two. Serephina felt the brief anger she was about to express, but she knew better. She had to know better. "Why? Because he had convictions?" asked Serephina then, trying as hard as possible to hide the scornful tone. "Because he attacked Loki alone." with that, Tony stepped off the dock again and approached the two. "He did his job," Serephina replied seriously. "He was out of his league. He should have waited. He should have-" at Tony's words, Steve also pushed himself off the railing and stepped toward the billionaire. "Sometimes there's no way out, Tony." "Yeah, I've heard that before," with that, Iron Man walked past the captain. "Is this the first soldier you've lost?" meanwhile, Steve asked him. In one motion, Tony wheeled around to Steve again and produced only a flat, "We're not soldiers!". "Both of you, that's enough!" the girl reintroduced herself, stepping between the two men, who were each almost a head taller than her. "I don't care what we are, or what you think you are, nor who you trust here. We all have a job to do, though. Loki needs a power source. So we're making a list that-" Tony impetuously interrupted the girl in her words. "It's personal," he suddenly realized.

"That's not what it's about, Sta-", the girl couldn't even utter that short sentence. "Yes, it is, that's what Loki is about. He wanted to hit our weak spot. Why?", Tony looked back and forth between the girl and Steve. "To divide the group.", Steve now remarked more composedly. "Yes divide and rule, fine. But he knows he has to take us all out to win. That's basically what he wants. He wants to beat us and be seen doing it. He wants an audience.", Serephina realized what the philanthropist was getting at. "As in his performance in Stuttgart.", she interjected, to which the two men nodded, Tony began to walk around. "Yeah, that was just the preview. This, this is opening night and Loki is a full-blown diva. He wants flowers, he wants parades. He wants a monument rising up into the sky with a name on it," Tony suddenly broke off his sentence, causing Serephina and Steve to look at each other somewhat perplexed. Tony only managed to produce a, "Fucking bum." before he hurried off.
