"Tony!" shouted Steve loudly as Serephina and he followed the billionaire. "Where's he going?" asked Serephina seriously, finally grabbing Stark by the arm, making the man stop. "The Stark Tower.", Tony answered tersely, looking directly at the girl. Briefly, Serephina looked at him in confusion before she understood. Loki wanted to be seen. "Meet me at the landing platform in 15 minutes!" the younger girl remarked, after a few seconds of silence.
The three ran off, either to get their equipment, or to find a pilot. "Maria, where's Romanoff?" she asked into her commlink as she ran down the seemingly endless corridors of the carrier. " Medical station," replied the addressee only a few seconds later. With that, Serephina ran to that very ward, where, upon asking one of the nurses, she opened one of the doors.

Sitting on the gurney in the room was Natasha, alone. Where was Clint? She had overheard two agents talking about his return. "Hey, can you fly the Quinjets?" asked Serephina, after apparently looking at the agent. She seemed unharmed for now, but nevertheless she seemed slightly absent. Natasha raised her eyes to the younger woman and seemed to breathe a sigh of relief that she was still alive. Barely noticeably, the agent shook her head. As the door opened at the head of the room, the two women looked up. Clint was standing in the doorway, just drying his hands. He looked a little bruised, but not seriously hurt. "I can fly, though," he replied, in response to the youngest's question. "Good to see you again, Clint. On deck in 10 minutes and bring your gear!", she added more gently, looking at the two agents again scrutinizingly. "You're coming?", Clint asked her a little surprised, putting the towel aside. "Does Fury know about this?", Natasha immediately asked another question. "Hey, I'll handle Fury, 10 minutes?", at the question, the two older agents just nodded.

Serephina left the room again and ran to her office, where she collected everything important for herself. Some grenades, pistols, an emergency commlink and the small throwing knives that Clint had given her at some point. She left her office again, in which again only the centrifuge and the refrigerator hummed, while she ran to the hangar. The hangar was again full of agents who were doing their jobs as best they could. Serephina's heart was beating louder inside than usual. She was excited, that was different from her normal missions. She had not been trained for this, she was fighting men with guns, not gods or aliens. She had put herself, in this fight, in a rather bad position. She had never had to fight anything like this before. The girl swallowed quietly.

The Avengers, except for Tony, arrived a few minutes after her, they all had their gear on, ready for a fight. Tony was probably still tinkering with his armor, he would then follow on his own. "The Quinjet." the youngest pointed to a jet whose hatch was open. It was at the end of the hangar and was manned by only one agent. Without waiting for further instruction, Steve went forward. The agent in the cockpit turned to the four of them, somewhat aghast. "Excuse me, you have no authority here," the rather young man began. Steve simply waved it off "Let it go, kid.", with that he gestured for the agent to leave the ship. "But I-" the man began again, then Serephina stepped past Steve. " They' re here with me, Wilson. I'm authorized and out now," she added seriously. The man hesitated briefly, but then stood up.

Immediately Natasha and Clint sat down in the cockpit, while Steve and Serephina took the back seats. " Will go wrong," Steve remarked and briefly gave the girl a smile. Then the turbines came on and they both fastened their seat belts. Immediately a loud announcement came "unauthorized takeoff from level 6," at the words, Serephina gulped audibly. Now there was no way back, now Nick knew it too. The jet took off and they were seen, through the large glass front in the cockpit, flying out of the hangar.

Somewhere, in the middle of the sea, Tony overtook the jet and flew towards New York. The sky was clear, the sun not too bright, and Natasha had the jet's engine running at full speed. At some point, the skyline was finally visible. Serephina unbuckled her seat belt and stepped forward to the cockpit, where she clung to Natasha's seat. Steve followed her only moments later and stood behind Clint. The shiny sign on his back.

A hole had opened up in the air above New York; it was connected by a blue, bright beam to a device atop Stark Tower. Out of the hole, much to the displeasure of the four people, flew inexplicable creatures that began to reduce New York to rubble.
