"MOVE YOU APES YOU WANT TO LIVE FOREVER?!" shouted one marine sergeant as he unloaded his rifle into a grey alien his squad doing the same to the other aliens.
They had been fighting for hours now with the alien battleship out of action the rest of the aliens in the city had become desperate in fighting against the human forces as X-com, the local Nation Guard and the newly arrived UNSC had turned once a desperate defense into an all in encompassing route for the aliens and since the alien battleship served as the coms for the alien ground forces to communicate with the Elders for orders they were now following the last given orders from the Elder.
1. Kill all human defenders
2. Capture all human Civilians
3. Test out the new Chrysalids
And to the effort of the aliens, they did manage to test out the bugs and got some useful data from them and had also captured at least 4,000 humans awaiting testing and had caused significant casualties to local forces.
But then XCOM showed up and the Commander of this raid thought up an idea he sent waves of Chrysalids against XCOM and it worked the XCOM squad was pinned down and was suffering multiple casualties as a result it had looked like they were going to win.
And then the battleship blew up and everything went to hell as another bigger ship arrived and decimated the rest of the alien ground forces and it had pretty good AA cover as the ships sent to extract the grounds forces and the test subjects were shot down and captured already 5 scout ships had been destroyed thinking their stealth would be enough to sneak around the huge ship and had been destroyed.
*BOOM* A Scorpion MBT disintegrates 3 Mechtoids and wounded multiple other aliens as the marines around the Tank lay fire upon the invaders.
A private manages to get close to a Sectoid and blows its face-off with his shotgun and pays for that with his life as another Sectoid comes up behind him and shoots him in the back.
Meanwhile, the fight in the air becomes a bit chaotic as fighters and bigger alien ships are sent to extract the alien ground forces.
Plasma and Autocannon fire streaked across the sky across the sky as Longsword fighters clashed with small alien scout ships as they fight to control the sky with the Spirit Of Fire providing AA support.
And to make matters worse (Not if you are the MAC gun operator) more alien battleships are coming into orbit escorting landing barges some of them have already been taken out but the Elders in command have adopted the policy of 'throw everything at it until it dies' and so have been sending ship after ship to get those test subjects and their troops as now they will also get data on the new humans fighting style and develop a counter to it.
But the UNSC is not having it as the Spirit Of Fire keeps the enemy ships out of the city with the power of 'fuck you and fuck your ships' energy.
As one of the alien ships lines up a shot with one of its main plasma batteries the Sprit Of Fire answers this with a MAC round through its spine tearing it into a million little pieces.
Another alien battleship responds in kind knocking out some point defense guns and damaging an engine.
And with that done it's swiftly killed by a barrage of missiles of Archer missiles causing it to fall to earth.
Meanwhile back on the ground, the human forces have successfully have managed to recapture 79% of the city from the aliens however they are slowing down because the areas the aliens occupy are also where a majority of the human captives were.
Now a lot of the reason the humans have been winning so far is good air support and the fact that any big obstacles are blown to smithereens by either fire from the Sprit or Longswords and now that the orbital battle is picking up again they have neither of those and so they have to do this the hard way
Now just because the aliens are invading does not mean that the good citizens of Houston are not laying down small militias have taken to the streets and have been fighting with the Guard killing aliens left and right but the alien's tactics are much better than civilians with guns which is why most militias are guarding civilians centers and making sure the aliens don't capture any more of them.
And speaking of these militias one of them is currently getting its ass handed to it while not rolling over they are taking numerous casualties fighting off the little grey men.
"Jake!" one of the militiamen yelled out as his friend was shot he ran to him and check his pulse…..dead on impact.
The man is silent….and then gives out a roar as he charges with his M16 firing blindly at the invaders killing one and injuring another.
Unfortunately, no good deed goes unpunished as he was gunned out seconds later by a Sectoid coming up behind him.
A house at least 300-400 meters away 3 children hid in a closet fearing for their life's as the parents of the children had not come back yet.
With one child holding a Glock 15 as he had been trained to use it by his father with his little two sisters behind him.
They had been hearing for hours of the battle going on outside worried about their friends and family.
Suddenly they hear a noise coming into the bedroom a Thin man had come in.
The Thin man was looking for more humans especially children as they were more…malleable to their psionic manipulation and make for good infiltrators.
Meanwhile, the children were confused about who was this man?
And why did he look like slender man?
The oldest one the boy around age 15 had a gut feeling that this man? Thing? He did not know however he knew that this man was not a good person.
The Thin man smelled children in the home it kept smelling until it was at the bedroom the children were in.
It smiled it had found its prey.
As it moved towards the closet the boy held up the gun to the door he would make sure no one would harm his sisters.
As the Thin man was about to open the door he heard a notice coming from the window.
As he turned he stared wide-eyed at the green man in power armor.
He was about to take out his plasma pistol but then the thing moved at speeds greater than its own.
Faster than it could think it was thrown out of the house leaving a very large hole in it.
As it tried to get back up it collapsed back on the ground thanks to the fact that it had just been thrown through a house and landed on a truck it had multiple broken bones and was bleeding out.
With its dying breath, it released its toxin into the air hoping to kill any humans nearby.
The Spartan looked at the corpse as it released its toxin and headed back inside to check on the children inside.
His orders were to evac all civs to city hall where the UNSC had set up a FOB with firebases surrounding the city no aliens were to get in or out of the city command wanted total annihilation of all enemy forces in the city.
Right now he was tracking multiple enemies designated as 'Thin Men' by local forces and that description was not off the mark as they looked thin enough that you could probably kill one with a kitchen knife and make it seem like it was a wound from a sword.
As Chief opened the closet the kid opened fire with his pistol but it did not even penetrate the shields.
Chief took the gun out of his hand and unloaded it.
Looking down he could tell the kids were terrified and he need them to trust him so that he could evac them.
And with that, he crouched down staring into the kid's face, and then took off his helmet, and then he spoke.
"It's alright I am not going to hurt you," he said in a calming voice.
"Where it mommy I want mommy," one of the little girls said scared.
"I am here to take you someplace safe and your parents are probably there," he said
"Why should we trust you?" the boy asked.
The Chief paused at this thinking how to get them out of here.
"If you come with me I will help find your parents," he said
The children looked at each other.
"You promise?" one of the little girls asked.
"I promise"
Sorry if this took too long to make had to make some combat scenes and also I wanted to give you guys the idea that just because the humans have big ass ships does not mean they are going to give up.
Also, I wanted to give a scene where John is more involved and also before anyone says that the Thin man would have not died when John threw him through a wall.
1. John is fucking strong really fucking strong they just don't show this in the games cuz of balance.
2. The Thin man is incredibly weak and can die to…..pretty much every weapon in XCOM easily.
3. I wanted to show that 'IF YOU FUCK WITH A SPARTAN YOU DIE'
