When Worlds collide chapter 5
In a warehouse in Los Angeles, a dark-haired man in a black priest outfit knelt in obeisance.
"Have all our boys made the journey across?" queried his Master, an incorporeal form in the shape of Buffy.
"Yes, they have and what are your orders?" asked Caleb.
"Before we can conquer this pathetic dimension, we need to kill off Jasmine, her plans to control the world by her supposed love are pathetic and a threat to me," spoke the First with a sneer on Buffy's face.
"Isn't that like a woman to be messing up your good and holy work," scoffed Caleb, maliciously.
"Yeah, I want you to send the Bringers to pull this city apart. She and her guardian will need to do the birthing ritual soon which I cannot allow," commanded his Master., "Although she did bring Angelus back. That vampire choosing to turn his son is amusing to me,"
The First ignored the look of jealously on its servant's face. Caleb's bloodlust and insanity are what made the source of evil recruit the young man to serve it, after seeing his work as a deranged serial killer in the Southern states. In their dimension the mayhem unleashed by the Bringers and the Turok Hans had been deeply amusing to the First. Although the brunette Slayer from their world needed to be eliminated along with her Watcher; it had a way to speed up the process of looking for Jasmine. All it took was the old saying, the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
"Don't worry I will send the boys to search every nook and cranny for this Jasmine," reassured Caleb., "What about the lost Slayer and her limey Watcher? They must have run to that brooding bastard Angel by now.,"
Caleb recalled the crazy brunette all too well. She and her pesky Watcher had killed several of the Bringers who had been hunting them down in their Los Angeles. He was looking forward to evening the score against Faith. In his twisted mind the idea of a powerful woman known as the Slayer was against the natural order of things.
"They will be dealt soon enough. I want the Buffy of this world and her friends to join up with Angel and be at their full strength, before I take away their hope by crushing it with my army," gloated the First with what passed for a happy and malicious smile.
Caleb laughed evilly. His master was brilliant and evil. He had served it faithfully for a long time. Its plan to conquer the multiverse was ambitious and bold. He planned to be at its side every step of the way.
"I'm not worried Caleb, especially when I know that you won't disappoint me," threatened the First before it disappeared.
Several Bringers approached their leader and teacher.
"Find the pregnant brunette and her guardian!" screamed Caleb to his blind minions. They nodded in acquiescence.

On the road to Los Angeles
Willow had her protection spell up and running. The bullets which had been raking the bus were now deflected. The junior Slayers, including Rona, cheered at the sight. Meanwhile, Buffy and her experienced Slayers had been shooting crossbows at the red sports car hoping to puncture tires to slow it down. They didn't want to kill the occupants inside as they were humans. There's a line. And killing humans is where the line is drawn.
"You did it Will," praised Xander smiling with relief.
"Yes, but we still need to get out of here," advised Willow, "I can't hold this spell forever." Her face was red with concentration from channelling the protection spell.
"We need to get to Angel's hotel quickly, we are not safe," said Giles looking worried.
Willow nodded and swiftly took down her protection spell. The bullets started whizzing again. She quickly began her chant.
"Now Willow, deep breaths and focus yourself," said Giles seriously at his young friend.
"Brace yourself guys," said Willow. her eyes were now black.
"Everybody hold onto something!" yelled Xander, realizing what Willow was doing.
The driver of the Humvee cursed in frustration at seeing its target disappear with a blinding flash of blue light. He then stopped the car and spoke into a phone in Italian.
At the other end, Ilona Costa Bianchi cursed in frustration in her office because the news from the Sicilians, hired through her contacts in the Mafia, was not good. The interfering Slayer and her friends had managed to escape the hit squad she had sent after them, possibly by magic. She had to thank her bosses, the Senior Partners, for giving her the route that would be taken by the Slayer's bus through her liaison Cain.
"Never send a human for such a task Ms. Bianchi, the witch helped them escape, which is something your Mafia friends never anticipated or been prepared for," spoke a voice and she turned to see the ghost of Lilah Morgan.
"You're not our deceased employee Ms. Morgan," replied llona in her Italian accented voice, "How did you get in there?"
"No, I am the First Evil. I can take the task of destroying the Slayer line from here," sneered Lilah/ First. "To answer your question, I am the source of evil so your mystical barriers can't keep me out of your office building."
"Have you forgotten that you and my masters have come into an agreement to destroy that filthy traitor Angel?" asked llona angrily.
"Angel will be killed as per our agreement but now I need your resources in tracking Jasmine in the city of Los Angeles. The rogue power is a threat to both of us," replied the First.
"I spit on the maggot-faced Jasmine! For what her creature did to our branch in Los Angeles in 2003," replied the Italian lady, who actually spat on the floor to highlight her point.
"Then you would have no objection in telling your sorcery department to scry for her," answered the First, wincing at the spitting that it had seen.
"Why don't you look for her?" asked llona suspiciously.
"I could but I have many things on my plate that need dealing with; such as those worms Buffy and Spike. There are actually two Faiths now, both of which have a grudge against us."
"How do I keep in touch with you?" asked llona.
"You don't. I can find you just like that," advised the First before it vanished.
The basement of the Hyperion Hotel at 8pm
Angel was busy sparring with the alternate Faith, who was wearing a sports bra and athletic shorts. She was blocking his punches quite easily and had countered with a few moves of her own.
"You're good," praised Angel in between punches.
"Well big guy, I had to be when there's your psychotic alter ego on the loose, not to mention the First, and the Jazzy bitch, who has that Metallo bodyguard, in the Cordelia, of my world".
"I'll help you and Wes, don't you worry about it," said Angel.
"If there is a way to save that Cordelia dad, we should take it. She doesn't deserve to be in a coma like ours did," suggested Connor.
"Your son is right Angel, if there is a chance that my alternate self can live out her days normally then we should look into it," said Cordelia, now walking into the familiar basement accompanied by Dawn while avoiding the cage that had housed Angelus once. Dawn was instantly at Connor's side and he put an arm around her shoulders.
Suddenly there was the sound of metal hitting the walls with a loud bang, the shattering of glass. They immediately rushed upstairs and froze in shock at what they saw.
There was the wreckage of what had been a yellow school bus in their destroyed lobby. Nina had come downstairs to investigate and stood in shock at the sight. The front door was completely demolished by the crash of the bus into their lobby.
Then a small sound of life could be detected by the sound of coughing. Small, tanned hands had pushed the metal out of their way.
Angel and Connor were stunned. Both father and son didn't think that anyone could have survived an accident like that. Well, nothing mortal anyway.
Faith had popped her brunette head up before lifting more sheets out of her way, "B, where are you?"
"Down here," groaned a familiar voice, before a pale hand pushed aside the rubble with ease. A petite blonde had levered herself out of the destroyed bus.
"Buffy!" squealed Dawn, seeing her sister made her feel more relieved about the crashed bus in the lobby. She would hug her if it wasn't for the wreckage of the bus.
"Dawnie! I thought you were on your honeymoon in Maui," greeted Buffy, in relief at seeing her younger sister looking tanned and happy.
"I am here to help out. I am not leaving my husband to be on his own for a mission sent by the Powers that Cordy had mentioned," explained Dawn.
Cordelia had waved hello at her former classmate
"Why am I over there?" asked the alternate Faith, getting a closer look at her doppelganger.
"I could be asking the same damn question," replied the other Faith suspiciously.
"That must be your counterpart in this universe, so Faith meets Faith," said Wesley wisely.
"Two of them? I thought one Faith was painful enough," said a shocked Buffy.
Both Faiths glared at her with the same look of anger.
"Hey B! I am a white hat now, so no putting me into another coma yeah," said alternate Faith towards the petite blonde who had been her friend, her enemy and rival all rolled into one. Buffy sighed and then nodded.
"If someone could repair the lobby that would be much appreciated," asked Nina.
With a jerk of her hands, Willow floated the rubble softly into the air. The new Slayers had walked out and some were still in a state of shock.
"Wow what a rush," mumbled Willow, after vanishing the rubble with a gesture before she nearly fell over. Xander had caught her and placed her gently on her feet.
"So, we are all here apart from Spike," said Angel. "He must be running late, which is very typical of him."
"Where is he?" asked Cordelia.
"Fashionably late some might say," said Spike, now making his way through the repaired lobby. He immediately looked towards Buffy, who smiled warmly at the sight of him.
"Was going to make a grand entrance, but it looks like the Slayer beat me to it," Spike commented, taking hold of Buffy's hands to inspect for any damages.
"Was I gonna have to look for you again?" Buffy asked softly, caressing their joined hands.
"Not in this lifetime," Spike whispered, as he kissed Buffy gently on the lips.
A moment later, Buffy and Spike pulled back, suddenly aware of the eyes that were on them.
"Uhh right. I am here now, ready for action," said Spike, clearing his throat.
"We don't need to know what action you're ready for Billy Idol," said Xander, irritated at seeing his best friend kiss an undead corpse.
Please may you read and review and I would like to thank my friend Starway Man for his previous reviews of my story.
