I actually don't have anything planned for Misty just yet, I said that just to leave the option open for a cameo.
"Where are we?" Cassie asked.
"I know exactly where we are, and where we're going, don't worry." Ash said.
"Do you really though?" Cassie asked.
"Well I know it's through these woods." Ash admitted.
"Then we're on a path." Cassie said, seeing the trees all around them.
"Pi?" Pikachu said, looking into the distance.
"What is it Pikachu?" Ash asked, looking in the direction Pikachu was facing.
"Pika!" Pikachu exclaimed leaping off of Pikachu's shoulder, running into the woods.
"Pikachu wait up!" Ash said chasing after his Pokemon.
"Ash! Don't just leave me behind again!" Cassie shouted, running after him.
Ash finally caught up to Pikachu who was facing a rushing river.
"What is it Pikachu?" Ash asked.
"Pika! Pika Pi!" Pikachu exclaimed pointing a bit farther up the rapids.
"Is that an Oddish?" Cassie said finally catching up, seeing the Pokemon stuck on a log.
"On it!" Ash said, dropping his bag, hat, jacket, jeans, socks, and shoes before running up stream. "Stay here."
"Ash!" Cassie scolded.
"Who's going to see me?" Ash shouted back.
When Ash finally made it to a thin point, he leapt into the river, readying to grab Oddish, and then swim to shore.
"Wait, what is that sound?" Cassie asked, rushing downstream to see a waterfall. "Oh no. I have to warn Ash!"
"Oddish, I'm here." Ash said, grabbing onto the log. "I've got you, come on." Ash wrapped an arm around Oddish as he began swimming back to shore.
"Ash! There's a waterfall!" Cassie shouted.
"What?!" Ash said. "Hold on, I'll see you soon!" Ash said, staying above water.
"No, go the other way!" Cassie said, waving him back to the other side.
"Yes, I see you!" Ash said, before seeing the rapids moving more fiercely. "Waterfall!" Ash shouted as he and Oddish fell to the water below.
"Oww, my head." Ash said, sitting up. "What happened? Where am I?"
"Oh good, you're finally awake." A woman's voice said. "And still alive, even better."
"What do you mean alive?" Ash asked.
"You and your Oddish took quite the nasty fall." The woman said. "Most people wouldn't survive a fall like that."
"Most people? People! My little sister! She's at the top of the falls with my things!" Ash exclaimed.
At the river
"Come on Pikachu! We have to go!" Cassie urged, while the electric type stood there waiting, holding his trainers hat. Following his trainers previous orders.
Back with Ash
"If your sister is alone we should get moving." The woman said.
"She's with my Pikachu she should be fine for now." Ash said. "I'm Ash by the way."
"Melanie." The woman said. "Your Oddish is having a snack as we speak."
"The Oddish isn't mine." Ash said.
"He could've fooled me, refused to leave you until I brought out some food." Melanie said. "But you should get going, I'll show you the path."
A bit further up
"Follow that path, and from what you said, you should reach your sister and Pikachu within an hour or so." Melanie said.
"Thanks again." Ash said, holding Oddish in his arms. "And thanks again for the pants."
"Sorry they're a little big." Melanie said. "I don't have many spare outfits."
A bit later
"Ash is that you?" Cassie asked.
"Groar!" A large roar shouted, a burst of flames shooting towards her and Pikachu.
"Pika!" Pikachu shouted, sending sparks out towards the burst of flames.
"We'll have to come back for Ash's supplies." Cassie said as she ran off.
Back with Ash
"Okay, this is frightening." Ash said, seeing destroyed trees in every direction. "What could have done this?"
"You can say that again." A familiar voice said, passing over an overturned tree. "It's been a while."
"It's you from Viridian Forest!" Ash said excitedly.
"Good to see you remember me Ash, what are you doing all the way out here?" The man asked.
"I got separated from my sister and Pikachu, I'm trying to get back to them." Ash said.
"Not good." The man said. "There's a powerful Pokémon on the loose, it's not safe here."
"How do you know that, and shouldn't you be worried about it too?" Ash asked curiously.
"Well, I make it my personal job to take care of powerful Pokemon so that they can't hurt anyone." The man said. "And when I got reports of a powerful fire type in these woods, I rushed over."
"I want to help." Ash said. "If we work together maybe we can stop it."
"Kid, this isn't just an ordinary battle, this will be dangerous." The man said.
"Then let it be dangerous, but it's less dangerous if we work together." Ash said. "I'm not taking no for an answer."
"Then here, take this." The man said, handing Ash a red watch. "It's a two way communicator, in case we get separated."
"Thanks." Ash said. "But I can't just call you sir, I mean I can, you're an incredible trainer, but do you maybe have a name?"
"My name is Kazor, it's nice to be properly introduced." Kazor said, extending his hand. "Our first priority should be finding that Pokemon. Everyone will be safer afterwards."
"Can I go and get my things, they should be just up ahead, and I have equipment like medicine and Pokeballs there." Ash said.
"Keep the communicator on speaker, and if you run into it, press that button, it'll let me know where you are." Kazor said. "Once you have your gear let me know, and I'll send the signal of where I am."
"Okay, I'll see you then." Ash said rushing off to his things.
"Good kid, reminds me of myself." Kazor said.
"GROAR!" A roar echoed high into the sky.
"Alright Pikachu, we have work to do." Kazor said rushing towards the sound.
Back where Ash's things were at
Ash looked at the clearing, seeing a large amount of destruction, only his bag left where it was.
"Glad I splurged for fire proof." Ash said, opening it up. "Well Oddish, want to make it official?" Ash asked holding up a Pokeball.
"Odd!" Oddish said, tapping the Pokeball, it dinging immediately.
"Kazor? Are you there? I found my things, but it looks like the Pokémon has been here, I can't find Pikachu or my sister though." Ash said to the watch.
"They'll have to wait, I found our target, get here quickly." Kazor said over the watch.
Character of the day: Kazor
Kazor is a trainer shrouded in many mysteries, but a trusted one. Utilizing a powerful Pikachu he travels the region protecting it from dangerous and rampaging Pokémon. He seems to show an interest in Ash.
