@Northstar Pokeshipper
Kazor is an original character to the story, any resemblance he has to someone from the anime is purely coincidence.
"Okay, he should be just up ahead." Ash said, pushing through branches.
"Groar!" A guttural roar echoed, followed by a stream of flames.
"What in the?" Ash said, standing back up. "A Charizard?!"
"Good to see you made it." Kazor said. "Feel free to hop in any time. Pikachu use Thunder!"
Kazor's Pikachu ran right at Charizard, sweeping between Charizard's legs as Thunder struck him.
"Right." Ash said, clambering for Oddish's Pokeball. "Oddish let's go!"
Oddish popped out of his Pokeball, trying to stand tall, but falling very short in comparison to the Charizard in front of him.
"Ash, use something else!" Kazor said.
"I don't have something else!" Ash said amidst a panic. "Oddish use Sleep Powder!"
"Oddish Odd." Oddish said, swaying the grass atop his head.
"Gra!" The Charizard realized turning towards Oddish, unleashing a Flamethrower.
"Go my friend, rescue him with Agility!" Kazor commanded.
A blur sped by, getting Oddish out of the way of the attack just in time, as flames scorched the ground where he stood.
"Now Pikachu use Double Edge!" Kazor commanded. His Pikachu launching its entire body into the backside of the Charizard as is stumbled slightly, before swatting the Pikachu away with its tail.
"It's getting away! Porygon use Tri Attack!" Kazor said.
The Pokémon that had rescued Oddish began flying straight towards Charizard, unleashing a spinning attack at it, before the fire type began flying off.
"We have to keep on it." Kazor said, grabbing his Pikachu.
"I need to find my sister and Pikachu!" Ash argued. "I can't travel all over Kanto looking for it!"
"Your sister is still at risk, these woods are this Charizard's home, likely abandoned by a trainer, it grew with resentment over time." Kazor said. "If we follow it outside the woods, I won't ask you to continue, but until then you promised your assistance."
"Okay, what's the plan?" Ash asked.
Late after chasing the Charizard again
"Okay stick to the plan." Kazor said.
"Right, be ready Oddish." Ash said. He really wished Pikachu was here right now, same with Cassie.
"Porygon use Tri Attack!"
Kazor's Porygon charged in from behind the Charizard, trapping it in a thin layer of ice.
"Go Ash!" Kazor said.
"Right! Oddish use Sleep Powder!" Ash said.
Ash ran into the area, holding up Oddish as it started releasing a green powder over the fire type.
"It's melting out! Hurry!" Ash shouted.
"Pikachu use Thunderbolt!"
Kazor's Pikachu sent out a burst of electricity at the Charizard, just as the ice melted.
"Come on, fall asleep." Kazor said, watching carefully.
Charizard was beginning to droop its head, when suddenly it stopped, it's eyes turning red as it faced Ash and Oddish.
"Ash get out of there!" Kazor shouted.
Ash leapt out of the way of Charizard's flamethrower just in time, barely avoiding being scorched.
"Pikachu use Slam!"
Two Pikachu's charged into Charizard's gut, giving Ash the time to get away. As Charizard recovered from the attacks, he was face to face with two trainers and two Pikachus. Weighing It's odds, Charizard took off into the sky to find a new place for now.
"That was too close." Kazor said with an annoyed tone.
"It didn't work, he didn't fall asleep." Ash said. "Why didn't he fall asleep?"
"We tried stacking too many statuses, but by the time he could fall asleep it didn't work. We need more firepower." Kazor said thinking.
"Are you going to call someone?" Ash asked.
"Not enough time, but I think I can work with what we've got. I think it's time you and Pikachu learn Thunderbolt." Kazor said.
"That would be so awesome!" Ash exclaimed.
"Pi Pikachu!" Ash's Pikachu said happily.
"Okay, PIkachu. Show him how it's done." Kazor said.
After finding the new spot Charizard is at
"Alright, new plan. Pikachu's distract with Thunderbolt, and then we put it to sleep." Kazor said.
"I can't be at both spots at once though." Ash said.
"I know, I need you to be up here with me and our Pikachu's, or the Charizard will know something is up again." Kazor said.
"Okay, Oddish be careful, and if he spots you, run." Ash said
"That's terrible advice." Kazor said.
"How is it terrible advice, survive?!" Ash questioned. "He's an Oddish, and that's a Charizard!"
"And you haven't had odd's like that before?" Kazor responded.
"Once, but I was able to communicate with Pikachu while it was happening, and change tactics on a dime." Ash said.
"That's fine for when you're in charge, but for now I'm keeping us safe." Kazor said. "So stick to it."
"Okay, let's do this." Ash said, setting Oddish down.
"Pikachu use Thunderbolt!" Both trainer's exclaimed, showing their presence.
The Charizard swooped backwards, narrowly dodging the electricity before unleashing a gust of strong winds at them, knocking leaves and sticks towards them.
"Pikachu use Quick Attack!" Ash called out.
Ash's Pikachu regained his footing, rushing forward and leaping into Charizard's gut.
"Ash! What are you doing!?" Kazor asked.
"Keeping him distracted. That was the plan, right." Ash said.
"Pikachu use Slam!" Kazor commanded, his Pikachu crashing into one of Charizard's legs.
Charizard flapped its wings, beginning to take off into the air once again.
"Not this time!" Ash exclaimed, seeing Oddish hadn't had enough time to get close enough to Charizard. "Pikachu use Thunder Wave!"
A spiral of sparks shot out at Charizard, as it began struggling to continue moving, soon crashing to the ground.
"Pikachu use Thunder!" Kazor commanded.
Thunder rained down on top of the Charizard, creating a dust cloud blowing out in all directions.
"Good work Ash, now there's just one thing left to do. Ultra Ball go!" Kazor said, throwing out a black and yellow pokeball.
The Pokeball shook wildly as it began to flash.
"Should we be worried?" Ash asked.
"Even if it breaks out, I doubt it has the energy to fight us off, or fly off again." Kazor said confidently.
'Ding'
"You, you caught it!" Ash exclaimed.
"All part of the job, the company I work for takes pride in obtaining the most dangerous of Pokemon, for the betterment of everyone." Kazor said
"That's sounds really sweet! Maybe I could do that one day!" Ash exclaimed.
"Why not today?" Kazor offered. "We find your little sister and bring her home, and I'll take you under my wing as an apprentice?"
"As great as that sounds, I want to stick to my own goal for right now." Ash admitted. "I'm sorry if that's why you gave me the watch."
"Ash, I see great potential in you, and if I have to wait to start bringing out all of it, I will. As for the watch, keep it until we find your sister. What does she look like?" Kazor asked.
"This is a photo of us from a few months ago, normally she has long brown hair though." Ash said, pulling out a photo of both of them with their heads shaved.
"I'll keep an eye out for her, you chek back by where you last saw her, and I'll search the skies." Kazor said.
"Is Charizard ready for that?" Ash asked.
"Not to worry, I have other options for flight than him." Kazor said. "I'll keep in touch." Kazor said as he rushed off throwing out a Pokeball into the distance.
Character of the day: Charizard
Abandoned by it's trainer roughly a year prior, Charizard did what it had to do in order to survive, and that meant evolving. Without Ash there to rescue him Charmander grew resentful of anyone who passed through what he considered to be his domain, attacking on sight without question.
