"So your new plan is to fish for a better Pokemon?" Cassie asked, seeing Ash by the beach.
"That field from yesterday is empty, that many trainers and Pokemon being knocked out at once has given it a bit of a bad reputation for the moment." Ash said. "Wait, look out there."
"Are those?" Cassie said, seeing the all black outfits.
"Get back to the Pokemon Center." Ash said. "You'll be safe there."
"And so will you." Cassie urged. "We're far enough away that they won't notice us."
"But if I can get there, maybe I can find out their plan, even find that fossil they took from Pewter." Ash said. "Pikachu let's go."
"Pika!" Pikachu said in agreement.
After watching to make sure Cassie was heading back towards the Pokemon center, Ash and Pikachu began to stealthily make their way onto the cargo ship.
"Stay close to me, Pikachu." Ash said as they ducked behind a crate, a trio of grunts walked past on the other side. "We might be more outnumbered than I had initially thought."
"Hey you! Stop right there!" A voice called out, having spotted Ash.
"Uh oh." Ash gulped.
"New trainee orientation is on the upper deck, and you aren't even in uniform!" The grunt said. "Let's go, Mr. Revan won't be pleased if he finds out you're late!"
"Revan?" Ash muttered to himself.
A few minutes of being led around the boat, Ash was led to a single hallway.
"Look I have to get back to my job, but I don't want to see you wandering around again." The Team Rocket Grunt said.
Peeking into the classroom, Ash thankfully didn't see the man from Pewter, but it still left a large problem. Cassie was right, he should have never gotten onto this boat.
"But if I'm going to keep up with this…". Ash said opening another door. "These might help."
A few minutes later Ash walked out of the side room wearing a white team rocket uniform.
"Now at least I have a better chance." Ash said to himself.
"Intruder Alert!" A voice rang over the intercoms.
"Oh come on." Ash said, only to see people rushing past him.
"Let's go! A gym leader has boarded the boat, all hands on deck." A grunt ordered.
"A gym leader!" Ash exclaimed. He was safe! And also in the enemy uniform, that would take a bit of explaining to do.
"Wait, I recognize you!" A female grunt exclaimed.
"Well, Meowth's out of the bag." Ash said grabbing a Pokeball. "Jigglypuff use Sing!"
Ash plugged his ears as he watched the grunt and several others that had come by began to fall asleep.
"I knew that'd be useful." Ash said, taking off the Team Rocket jacket and hat. "Let's go you guys!"
Ash ran through the halls with Pikachu on his heels and Jigglypuff floating right by him.
"It's you." The man from the museum said.
"I'm guessing you're Revan." Ash said confidently.
"So you figured out my name, it matters little, you won't leave here. Arbok use Wrap!"
Arbok lunged at Ash and his Pokemon, squeezing all three of them tightly.
"Jiggly puff ex pand." Ash said, struggling to speak each syllable.
Jigglypuff began to expand more and more, while the pressure did not go away on Ash and Pikachu, Arbok's grip began to loosen.
"Now switch up! Pikachu use Quick Attack!"
Jigglypuff released it's stored up air rapidly allowing Pikachu to knock away the cobra for the time being.
"Arbok use Screech!"
Ash clamped his hands on his ears, thankfully he was prepared for that this time.
"PIKACHU USE THUNDERBOLT!" Ash shouted over the ear piercing screams.
A blast of electricity shot towards Arbok, knocking it over the boat's railing.
"Gyarados, finish them." Revan said with a smirk.
Arbok rose above the railing, having been lifted up by a Gyarados that seemed to be huge in comparison to everyone.
"Gyarados use Hyper Beam!"
"Raichu use Thunder!"
A blinding blast of electricity blocked and redirected the Hyper Beam.
"No, I thought we threw you overboard!" Revan yelped.
"I climbed on once, it was even easier this time." A muscular man said. "Now Raichu use Hyper Beam!"
A beam of light engulfed the head of Gyarados, shooting miles into the distance.
"I won't let you get away with this!" Revan said, only for his arm to be twisted behind him.
"You aren't going anywhere, Revan, you're coming with me." The man said. "As for you." He said turning to Ash.
"I'm on your side!" Ash said throwing his hands up. "If I can get a ride back to Vermillion it would be appreciated though."
"Small world, I have to head back their too, I was on my way when I spotted this ship." The man said.
A while later, back in Vermillion
"Ash!" Cassie exclaimed. "The boat left the port, and I was so worried, I didn't know what happened!"
"Hey, hey, it's okay, I'm okay." Ash reassured. "You we're right, I never should have gone on that ship alone."
"I'm just glad you're okay." Cassie said. "How's you even make it back."
"You wouldn't believe it, I ran into the gym leader of Vermillion doing the same thing I was." Ash said.
In the maximum security prison
"How the mighty have fallen." Revan spat.
"I believe I'm the one that's supposed to say that." Lt. Surge said.
"You have no idea what our plans are." Rehab chuckled. "You were fools for leaving Giovanni's side."
"We realized that he didn't have the right ideas for the world. I only wish we had let others know." Lt. Surge said. "Maybe some time in here will get you to open up about what's happening."
"I'll be out of here within the week, just you wait." Revan said, spitting at Lt. Surge.
"I'm done here." Lt. Surge said, bending the table as he stood up. "And do that again, and you will be done to."
