"Ash, be careful!" Cassie squealed.
"Come on, we're on top, did you see Oddish back there!" Ash said excitedly. "I doubt Gilbert could have done that!"
"And neither could you, Oddish did that, and if you aren't careful, you're going too…". Cassie shouted, only to see Ash topple backwards disappearing beneath a ledge. "Ash!"
"I'm okay, my head broke my fall!" Ash said, flipping back upright. "Aww man!" Ash moaned seeing the contents of his bag spilled down the hill. "Alright everyone help out!"
Pikachu began speeding around grabbing a few items at a time, while Oddish pushed one at a time back to the bag. Jigglypuff hadn't returned after a few minutes though.
"Hey Ash, did you see where Jigglypuff went off to?" Cassie asked.
"No, stay here with Oddish and Pikachu, I'll go look for her. Keep cleaning!" Ash said, rushing down hill, picking up a few items as he went.
"Oh Ash, be careful." Cassie said.
A few slopes later Ash saw Jigglypuff, in front of two passed out Pokemon.
"Is that a Nidoking and Nidoqueen?" Ash said surprised, looking at them, but they looked off, what were those markings?
"Jiggly? Jiggly!" Jigglypuff exclaimed happily upon seeing Ash, holding a microphone in her hand.
"Jigglypuff, what, how, what?!" Ash exclaimed.
"Jiggly!" Jigglypuff said, popping off the top of the microphone to reveal a marker underneath.
"That microphone, it was yours?" Ash said.
"Jiggly!" Jigglypuff said with a smile.
"Well okay then, I didn't even hear you singing, maybe that can be helpful." Ash admitted.
"Grrr." A groan sounded.
"Maybe later though." Ash said, seeing the Nidoking and Nidoqueen waking up. "Are those marks from your marker?"
"Jigg." Jigglypuff said.
"Well, use Sing and put them back to sleep!" Ash exclaimed.
"Jig a leee puffff jig a leee eee eee puff." Jigglypuff sang out.
Ash was ready to cover his ears but for some reason despite hearing the song, he wasn't falling asleep yet. Looking forward, clearly the other two Pokémon were dozing right back to sleep though.
"Okay now let's get out of here before they wake back up." Ash said, grabbing Jigglypuff as he ran off.
Pikachu, Oddish, and Cassie had finally finished putting all the items they could find back in Ash's bag when they saw him sprinting towards them with Jigglypuff in his arms.
"Ash what's wrong?!" Cassie asked.
"Nido and Nido and!" Ash wheezed trying to catch his breath.
"Pika!" Pikachu exclaimed seeing boulders get launched out of the way, a Nidoking and Nidoqueen stomping out angrily.
"That." Ash panted. "Okay. Pikachu use Thunderbolt!"
A bolt of lightning shot out at the Nidoking who seemed to chuckle at the attempted attack.
"Okay, Oddish use Acid!"
A lump of poisonous energy was thrown at the two approaching Pokemon as they were unfazed by the attack.
"What are those markings on them?" Cassie asked.
"Jigglypuff, that microphone i found by Mount Moon was hers and its a marker apparently." Ash said.
"Jiggly?" Jigglypuff realized, never before had her actions resulted in consequences for her, until recently she'd simply get away after putting someone to sleep, but now it was different. "Jiggly! Puff!"
Jigglypuff jumped out of Ash's arms standing in front of the two closing in poison types. She raised her mic and uttered a simple "Puff!"
The two Pokémon stopped in their tracks, they weren't asleep, but they also weren't attacking.
"What was that?!" Cassie asked.
"We can find out later, for now let's get out of here." Ash said, grabbing her hand.
Pikachu carried Oddish on his back as Jigglypuff floated behind the group, every now and then turning and giving off a strange energy to the two large poison types.
"Up ahead!" Ash exclaimed seeing the red roofed building.
Finally able to rest at a table, Ash took the time to properly look over what his team can do.
"So what did you find out about Jigglypuff?" Cassie asked, as Ash set down her Pokeball.
"If I had to guess, it looks like that was her Disable attack." Ash said. "And did you know Oddish knows Stun Spore?"
"How did you not know that, it's your Oddish." Cassie said. "Either way you wanted to come this way for them to get stronger, and I think they wanted to as well."
"Yeah, but we still have a ways to go if we want to get through this cave." Ash said.
"And after that?" Cassie asked.
"After that it's onto my next gym badge." Ash said, opening his map. "Once we're out of the cave, it looks like these two are our best bets." Ash said. "But for tonight we'll take it easy okay. Tomorrow we'll worry about that cave."
"Okay Ash." Cassie said.
