@Yaw6113

I'm answering both of your comments here, because the Ren's Revived Logs series is uploaded as I come up with chapters. As for the return of Trap Ash, he will return later this year, but outside of the other story, it won't be for a few months, probably around August.

"Kid, we're here." The Pirate said angrily.

"He seems very happy for someone we helped get their Pokémon back." Cassie groaned.

"Wait, which one is where Seel goes?" Ash asked, seeing the set of islands.

"Kid this here is a boat. I got ye where ye wanted to go, that's the end of my favor." The Pirate said.

"What about getting back to land?" Ash asked.

"Figure that out yerself, ye can swim right." The Pirate said, starting the boat back up as Ash and Cassie got off.

"Well come on, we need to look for the other Seels." Ash said.

"Maybe you can let Seel lead the way, this is his home." Cassie offered.

"That's a good idea. Seel, come on out!" Ash said.

"Seel?" Seel said momentarily confused, before seeing the caves, feeling the cold air coming from the opening. "Seel! Seel!"

"Looks like he knows the way." Cassie said.

"Then let's go, I want to make sure he makes it back okay." Ash said, looking at Seel who was waiting for him at the entrance.

"I'm not so sure he wants to leave anymore." Cassie said softly.

Ash and Cassie followed Seel through a handful of winding caves leading downwards, each room colder than the last.

"Wait, there's someone else down here!" Ash said in surprise.

"Seel. Seel. Seel." Seel said excitedly, flopping towards the mysterious girl and a Dewgong beside her.

"Well hello there little one." The girl said, kneeling down and petting Seel's head. "Where's you come from?"

"Hi there, I can explain where he came from, or at least where I found him." Ash said.

"Oh, hi there." The girl said. "You brought this Seel here."

"Yeah, he was in a cave, being bullied by some Tentacool." Ash said. "He made it all the way to a few days outside of Lavender Town."

"Most trainers don't take the time to show their Pokémon places like this." The girl said. "Why did you take this long of a journey."

"Well, Seel isn't really mine, I caught him to bring him home." Ash said.

"Can I give you some advice then." The girl said. "As a bit of a water type expert, and having trained up a Seel of my own into a Dewgong, he's been home this entire time."

"I'm an idiot." Ash said in shock.

"Well duh." Both Cassie and the girl said in unison.

"You're Misty, aren't you!" Ash exclaimed, hastily searching through his bag.

"I'm sorry I don't really do autographs…". Misty trailed off, seeing her old fishing rod. "So you were the first one to look at that spot."

"Yeah, I caught a Dratini with it." Ash said happily. "But back to Seel, what do you mean he's been home this whole time?"

"Seels are incredibly loyal Pokemon, but only if they find a trainer with a pure heart." Misty said. "If Seel didn't want to be with you, he wouldn't have led you here."

"I knew it!" Cassie exclaimed.

"So this entire time I've been trying to find out how to get to Seafoam islands, only for Seel to be happy with me." Ash said, completely dumbfounded.

"Pretty much." Misty said.

"So, what brings you here Misty?" Ash asked. "I heard you were heading for Jhoto."

"I was, or am, or I had been." Misty tried to figure out. "There's an item I'm looking for, to boost the power of one of my Pokémon and I heard it might be here."

"Can we help?!" Ash said excitedly.

"I mean you can, but…". Misty trailed off.

"Don't worry if we find it, it's yours. It might not be of any use to us anyways." Ash reassured.

"Well I can't really argue with that." Misty said. "The item is supposedly found deep under the waters."

"Alright then, Dratini come on out!" Ash said.

"He's so cute! Where's you find him?" Misty cooed, hugging the Dratini.

"I actually found him using your fishing rod in the Safari zone." Ash said. "But I thought you only trained water types."

"I can like other Pokémon, besides Dratini's are usually in water so they're effectively the same thing." Misty commented. "So this is what we're looking for." Misty said holding a photo in front of Seel and Dratini. "And don't worry about anything down there, you won't be alone." Misty assured as she grabbed three different Pokeballs. One was an Ultra Ball, and one was a regular Pokeball, but the third Ash didn't recognize. "Alright come on out!"

Alongside Misty's Dewgong, popped out a Seadra, a Starmie and a strange Gyarados.

"Gahhh! Why is it red?!?!?!" Ash said in a panic.

"Don't worry, Rosey wouldn't hurt anyone unless I asked her to." Misty said, hugging the Gyarados's head. "Isn't that right."

"But why is it red?!" Ash exclaimed.

"For the same reason your Dratini is purple, it's just special." Misty said calmly.

"Wait, I don't remember seeing a Gyarados on your team in last years Pokemon League." Ash commented.

"That's because I caught Rosey as a Magikarp in Jhoto, back then she was Goldy." Misty said with a giggle.

"Oh, okay." Ash said calming down.

As the five Pokémon disappeared beneath the waters, Ash turned back towards Misty.

"So whats it like?" Ash asked.

"Do you want to be more specific or should I just list things off." Misty asked.

"The Pokemon League, standing in front of an arena full of people cheering for you." Ash said with big eyes.

"Honestly, the three people I wanted cheering for me the most didn't even bother to show up." Misty said sullenly. "But when you're out there, it doesn't matter." Misty added. "So I guess that means you're on your way to the Indigo League this time."

"Yeah, I've already got six badges." Ash said proudly.

"Talk to me when you can beat this." Misty said, opening a case to show three badges Ash had never even seen before. "Johto is a whole new world of challenges. That's why I want that item."

"I guess it would be hard making it to the top using only one type." Ash said.

"Yeah, but I'm sticking to my gut, and using water types all the way." Misty said confidently.

'Boom!'

"What was that?!" Misty said jumping up as several rocks fell from the ceiling.

"If I had to guess, nothing good." Ash said. "Get the Pokemon, I'll check it out."

"Wait, it could be dangerous!" Misty exclaimed.

"And you're down half a team." Ash said. "Follow the sounds once they're up, but get that item!"

Authors Note

Misty! I decided that this would be a good place to introduce her, as for her Pokemon, Dewgong and Starmie she has in the anime, Seadra is her evolved Horsea, and I just like the idea of her getting a red Gyarados and conquering her fears early.
