After breaking out of prison and some bickering about what to call the ship the outlaw crew were sitting in the ship's lounge room planning on what to do next. Ezra remembered what he heard from the intercom in the stormtrooper helmet on the star destroyer.
"Guys, maybe we should go to kessel and save those wookies on kessel and maybe take some of the spices and sell them,'' Ezra suggested.
"And facing high resistance from the empire I say let the wookies die" baz said with a surprising amount of hostility.
"Baz i know that you don't like wookies but we could really use some credits if we need to survive and the wookies could be helpful in putting the spices on our ship" leila said with frustration in her voice.
Baz groweld in frustration but agreed with his team that they needed some credits to survive even if he had to save some stupid wookies.
As baz left the room ezra turned to the three remaining crewmates and asked "why does baz hates wookies so much"
Leila sighed and answered with "trandoshans are a hunting species and wookies are top hunting game for them but 20 or so years ago the old galactic senate tried to make them find peace between them but the hatred still remained as both try to get better of each other ".
"Wow this is going to be difficult for both parties then but we can hopefully work around that" numik said.
"Well this is going to take a while so you guys can pick your rooms" leila said to the rest.
(ezra room)
After Ezra finished setting up his room he heard a knock on his door and when he opened it he saw numik with a smile on his face.
"So how's the new room treating you so far" numik said.
"pretty good numik but if i'm going to be honest With you i'm worry how Baz is going to handle himself during the mission with his hatred for wookies and all " ezra said with worriedness in his voice.
"Ezra, if we can plan this accordingly we can get in and out very quickly. It's that easy but like I said we need a plan." numik reassured ezra.
"Yeah but it's not only baz i worry about i am also worry about leila because of how distant she is to all of us." Ezra told numik.
"Ezra we just met today so we are not going to be the bestest of friends" numik said.
"Yeah I know but it like she's trying to avoid us at all cost like we are a plaque" ezra said.
"Well maybe she has her reasoning we don't know" numik reason.
"Yeah" Ezra said downtrought.
Numik then saw the holocron and had to ask one question he had wanted to ask since prison.
"Hey Ezra, can I ask you a question?" numik asked.
"Sure, ask away" ezra responded.
"So back at the store when the clerk offered you a lot of money for that thing why didn't you take it" numik quiestones.
Ezra picked up the holocron that was on the table near Ezra bed and answered with.
"The clerk told me that this was a holocron, a thing that holds knowledge or secrets. After that i knew that if this fell in the wrong hands people could get hurt so i got out of there and the rest is history. Ezra told numik.
"Wow, that's noble of you to do. The rest would have sold it without a second thought but you thought about the greater good i respect that." numik told ezra.
"What were you and widget going to do with the money if you sold the holocron?" ezra questioned numik.
"Eh buy supplies just survive till we need more supplies rinse and repeat." numik said with a bored yet sad tone.
"Sounds boring and lonely" Ezra said, looking down remembering that he too was lonely and trying to survive on his own without someone.
"Not really I had widget to keep me company and now I have you guys." numik said in reassurance.
Ezra felt happy to know now that both him and numik had a group of people while not trusting of them were trying to give this group a shot.
"Well since we got our feelings out today we should now plan for the mission" numik said his frown replaced with a smile.
"Yeah we should but unfortunately we don't know what kessel is going to hold for us and like i said baz don't like wookies so we are kinda in bad place to plan." Ezra told numik.
"Well there is a tactic that has been used since the beginning of time that is 50/50 but for us it is a hundred percent." numik said with excitement.
"Okay what is this tactic that has been used since the "beginning of time" your speaking of" ezra asked looking at numik quiestonly.
"Simple, it's called winging it." numik said in an obvious tone.
"(sigh) you're the worst man." Ezra said.
(planet kessel night time)
After the parabellum landed near a rocky cliff the outlaws exited and quickly searched over the cliff to see if the mine had any imperial forces or something only to see little forces but they knew better to risk it. They had to play it safe just in case it was a trap.
"Okay so what the plan you two brainiacs came up with."Leila said with sarcasm at the brainiacs part.
"Okay first of all we will take the brainiac comment with pride. Second of all, the plan is simple: me and Ezra will take the stormtroopers head on while you, widget and baz take them from the back, conquer and divide style." numik told the outlaws.
"Wow, that is so simple that there are probably some flaws in it that could kill us all," Leila said with sarcasm.
"Okay what's your plan smartypants" numik said with little sass.
"We are going to climb these mountains stealthily and pick off these troops one on one and when we get some form of keys to unlock the wookies then we grab the stuff and get out of here." Leila said with some authority in her voice.
"Okay sounds better than my plan" numik said with slight embarrassment.
Baz looked away in discomfort as he had to rescue the one race his race hated so much. This mission was conflicting to him because while yes trandoshan hated wookies they hated people who made others slaves and made them suffer. Trandoshans would kill there prey and make something out of it like clothes or trophies easy but never take any slaves so baz had to swallowed his pride and free these wookies.
Ezra saw the discomfort from baz and went to speak with him.
"What's eating you up baz." ezra said.
"Well my race hates the wookies but here I am trying to save the wookies." baz told ezra.
"Baz, here's an unfortunate but true will always be one race that will hate another but every race has their exceptions." Ezra said.
"Exceptions?" baz questioned.
"Yeah those types of people who, no matter the race, will help out other people." Ezra explained.
Baz thought about it and maybe doing this he was an exception to his race. Sure this act alone will not mean peace on both sides but will probably show them not all trandoshans are bad people.
(cliff side)
The outlaws climb the cliffside with leila on top,baz behind her and both ezra and numik with widget on numik back are behind both of them.
"How are they so much faster than us?" Ezra questioned.
"Well like Leila said trandoshans are hunter species so climbing is good for hunter things and Leila since being a zabrak she has two hearts so she can run faster and be less tired." numik answered.
"Heh i bet they're popular for being heart donors." ezra jokes
"Haha maybe," numik laughed.
"Okay are you jokers done or are we going to leave you three behind." Leila yelled back at the three "kids" of the group.
"SORRY" they shouted out as they continued to climb along with baz and leila.
They reach the top and found poorly made shelters for the wookie slaves. They took cover behind the shelter to keep out of the stormtroopers' sight and when the stormtroopers turned their back they got closer.
Baz got behind a wall and waited till one of the troopers got alone and when one of the troopers got near he pulled the trooper and choked the trooper out. Numik and widget got behind a crate and grabbed one trooper and knocked the trooper out with widget afterwards kicking the trooper in the head. Ezra hanging on the cliffside grabbed one trooper who upon getting tossed off the edge screamed that alerted two troopers but it was too late as leila on the roof jumped on one of the troopers knocking him to the ground. The other trooper spun around to fire at leila but leila grabbed his arm and elbowed him in the face which knocked the trooper out. The trooper tried to get up but Leila ran up and kicked the trooper in the head to knock him out.
"Okay now that the guards up here have been dealt with let us enter these shelters and see if they have any stuff and/or prisoners." Ezra said while the rest nod in acknowledgement.
They split up to look around and unfortunately did not see the wookies or a key for the cuffs they were going to be in. Baz looked around and saw the poor living conditions the wookies had to live in which consisted of steel beds,no cooling vents, rodents crawling around the place and the smell of waste which made baz almost was disgusted with how the imperials treated the wookies and now wanted to get the imperials back for these cruel acts by freeing the slaves they work so hard to get.
Before Baz could exit the shelter he found some footprints near the door and he knew that they needed to follow these footprints.
"So this is how the wookies are forced to live, well prepared for the hunt because it's not wookies I'm hunting, it's stormtroopers. While my race don't like wookies they don't deserve this treatment." Baz thought to himself.
The outlaws regroup to discuss further action and the whereabouts of the wookies.
"Okay so the wookies are not here so we're kinda in a pickle" numik said looking frustrated with how search is going.
"Not quite, I found footprints of the wookies," baz said.
"Great, we can now find those wookies and get those spices" Ezra said in joy.
"Yeah lets get these wookies free" baz said with the outlaws looking at him strangely.
"Baz I thought you hated the wookies." leila asked.
"Yeah well after seeing how they are treated my hatred is now on the empire" baz said.
Baz being the hunter he is kept his eyes on the tracks with the rest behind him. The outlaws follow him and find out that the trail ends at mine k76.
The outlaws search to see if there are any troopers to find it heavily guarded and they spot the wookies who were in cuffs with one of them was a little kid. This causes baz to look angry due to knowing how they are treated and what the kid is about to experience.
"Okay so there the wookies now what do we do now." numik ask.
"Well for what we have and the terrain we are in I think we should go for your plan." Leila said to numik.
"Wait really," numik said surprise.
"Yeah well we don't have a lot of time so why don't we just give them a fight." leila said, smirking.

"Okay move it." The stormtrooper orders the wookies.
The young wookie was scared which the elder wookie tried to comfort.
"Move it" the stormtrooper orders, rather harsley pointing his weapon at them.
"Now did your mother teach you any manners?" Ezra asked.
The stormtrooper was surprised but before he knew it Ezra shot the man with numik shooting the other stormtrooper. The rest were altered and pointed their blasters at the two who admitly were a little scared.
Ezra and numik had taken their half of the wookies and got to cover from the blaster fire.
"So how's "winging it" going for you." Ezra asked with sarcasm.
"Um not that great as it turned out but baz and leila got our backs hopefully" numik said a little fearful that this could end horribly.
Thankfully while the stormtroopers backs were turned both baz and leila with there respected weapons opened fire on the troopers hitting some of them. Some turned around and opened fire on them but thanks to them pressure was relieved for ezra and numik to fire back.
Ezra hit one of the troopers who fell off the metal bridge after being hit. Numik hit one who also fell off the metal bridge with yell. Leila and baz hit a couple with incredible accuracy and after clearing some off the bridge jump on said bridge.
One of the wookies saw baz and freaked out thinking that baz was going to kill them.
"Whoa easy that my friend baz we come to rescue you" numik try to calm the wookie down
That did manage to calm the wookie down a bit but still was weary around baz. Both Ezra and Numik found the keys off of one of the dead troopers and uncuffed the wookies.
"Hey can you guys do us a favor and help us take these spices so we can sell them thus messing with empire revenue." Ezra said with a pleading tone. The wookies agreed and started to carry some crates with spices in them.
"HEY WE FREE THE WOOKIES AND GOT THE SPICE CRATES. YOU GUYS FOLLOW US AND COVER US.`` Ezra yelled out to baz and leila.
(rocky trail)
Ezra and numik with their blaster drawn walked with the wookies who were carrying spice crates up to the ship.
"Well this was easy" numik said but then a group of stormtroopers came out of nowhere firing at them.
"You just had to say something didn't you." Ezra said, firing at the stormtroopers.
While Ezra and Numik were dealing with stormtroopers in front of them an lone stormtrooper came behind and pointed his blaster at a wookies.
One of the wookies noticed and roared out in warning but the stormtrooper quickly grabbed a hostage so he would not get shot and that hostage was the kid wookie.
"Okay give us back those wookies and those spices or this kid won't see the end of this day." the stormtrooper threatened.
Ezra and numik knew they couldn't shoot because they feared they would hit the kid. The wookies knew it was over and they would go back to being slaves and was fearful of the kid. It did not help that the wookies were roaring in their ears so they could not think clear.
But what truly didn't help is the stormtrooper started to count down "1,2…3"
When the trooper counted to 3 it looked like he shot one of the wookies but when he tried to pull the trigger a hand grabbed his shoulder. The stormtrooper looked who grabbed him and it turned out to be baz.
"Get off of him you bucket head." Baz growled out in anger.
Baz proceeds to punch the stormtrooper in the face, knocking him out. The kid wookie once out of the man's grasp ran to the elder wookie and hugged him. After that exchange they continued on their path and finally made it to the ship.
"Thanks for helping us," ezra said to the wookies, grateful.
The wookie roar in response to which ezra reponsed smartly with " I don't know what you are saying".
"Don't worry I can help you by being your you repeat what you said." numik said.
The wookie roared the same thing which numik responded with "okay so the wookie said no thank you without you and your friends especially the trandoshan we would never be free".
"Well the pleasure was mine." Ezra said.
Baz then spoke up and yelled out "Hey". The wookies looked at baz a little worried.
"I know my race and your race will probably never find peace between each other but I hope my actions today will show you that not all trandoshans are bad people. Somebody told me today that even though some races might not get along there are exceptions,those types of people who help people no matter what and today I wanted to be an exception." baz said to the wookies who roared out in satisfaction.
The kid wookie ran up to baz and hugged him in a show of gratitude. Baz was shocked by what happened but accepted it. After the kid wookie the elder wookie hugged him in thanks for helping him.
After that baz went to the crew who smiled at him.
"That was beautiful." numik said, almost crying with widget clapping her hands.
"That was great," Leila said.
"Well Ezra did tell me what an exception is so I decided to be an exception to help people." Baz explained which caused Ezra to smile.
"Now then we got the crates, let's go somewhere and sell them." Baz said with the outlaws to nod in acceptance.
"Wait what about the wookies?" Ezra asked his crewmates.
"Don't worry the wookies told me some of them are good pilotes so they will take one of the imperial shuttles and fly back to kashyyyk and go back to their families." numik explained.
"Well let's rest after today's action because I am exhausted from having blaster fire going at me." Ezra said.
(imperial star destroyer)
"Sir, we got a report from kessel that the wookies had been freed and the criminals who escaped from prison stole the spices." an agent told kallus.
"Find them immediately." kallus said in anger
"Yes sir" the agent responded.
"sir there is a call for you by tarkin" a technician said.
"um tell him im busy" kallus said fearfully.
"I can't, sir" the technician said.
"why not?" Kallus questioned.
"because this is urgent." Tarkin said, his face appearing on the screen frowning.
"hello tarkin how is your day today" kallus tried to say with professionalism but ended with him sounding afraid.
"very well if it wasn't for an imperial mine being robbed by some wanted criminals. One of them was in your custody." Tarkin said with a little anger in his voice.
"Tarkin, I will take care of this, just please give me time." kallus pleaded.
"(sigh) fine but if you fail too many times well punishment for incompetence is seriouse" tarkin threaten sighing off.
Kallus was shaken up and yelled out "okay everybody i want to find these criminals." he showed everyone a picture of the outlaw crew.
"Either shoot them or capture them, it doesn't matter just get rid of these threats and boost security on all imperial planets." kallus shouted out.
"I will find you and your band of misfits, you blue haired menace." kallus thought to himself.
(parabellum lounge area)
"There we go now to show you what I've been working on." numik said, showing them a holo projector.
"You made a holo projector?" baz questioned.
"Oh my bad, I forgot to turn this on." numik turned on the holo projector to show a list.
"What is this?" leila asked.
"I took a stormtrooper halo projector and hacked into it to show us a list of black market dealers and sellers so that way we can buy and sell stuff without us just running around and stuff." numik explained.
"It's great that we can now make a lot of money." ezra said with great joy.
After telling them what he did they found a dealer on the list on lothal so they went to lothal and sold the species for thousands of credits. After going back to their ship they went to their rooms to sleep but baz had greater thoughts.
"Ezra helped me out today but there is still one more problem i have to face and i don't know if i can face it but i can't run from it and i have people on my side now." baz thought to himself and after laying on his bed fell asleep.
That the end of episode 2 and episode 3 will deal with baz backstory. Kallus will not be the main villain for this season but the villains will be a powerful criminal organization. Also ezra force power will come to play somewhere before season 1 ends to the beginning of season 2 keep tabs on that. Comment or pm me if any questions or criticisms will be appreciated.
