A couple of days had passed since the students had their confrontation with Laxus, one of the strongest mages in the guild. During those days, they were training and doing quests, with the intention of being able to properly master their new powers.
But as they trained, they couldn't help but keep wondering when they would return to their world or even how they got there, as on occasion, they would ask master Makarov about it and he would have the same answers, that he hadn't found anything.
At this moment, the five of them were in front of the mission panel, looking for another mission to perform.
"Mmm. Here they are asking us to finish off a sea monster." said Izuku.
"Also perform this one. It involves taking down a robbery gang in a city." said Tenya.
"Hey. How about this one? It says a theater owner needs help for a play." said Ochaco.
"Boring. Why would we do a ridiculous play?" asked Katsuki.
"We've been doing missions for several days now where the situation requires us to fight. I think a quiet mission would do us good." said Shoto.
"Besides, it might be fun." said Izuku.
"As members of Fairy Tail, it is our duty to make the requests put so that we can help people and if the owner of that theater needs help, then we have to help him." said Tenya.
"Then it's done. We will do this mission." said Izuku.
"Are you going on another mission?" the students turned around to see Wendy and Charle approaching them. "What kind of mission is it?"
"We have chosen to help a theater owner with a play" Ochaco explained.
"Really? Can I come with you?" asked Wendy.
"Sure, the more the merrier, the more fun it will be." said Izuku.
After that, they caught a train that took them to the city where the theater they were to go to was located.
During the trip, Wendy and Charle were telling the students about some of the adventures she and her guild friends had before the students arrived.
Finally, the train pulled into the station. Since they didn't know the exact location of the theater, as it was the first time they were in that city, they asked Wendy to guide them, which she gladly accepted.
Suddenly, just as they reached the building they assumed to be the theater...
"Wendy!" cried a female voice.
The six of them and the cat looked over to see a girl with pink hair pulled back in pigtails. At the sight of her, the sky dragon slayer's face turned cheerful.
"Sherria!" exclaimed Wendy running up to the girl she seemed to know. When they came together, they held their hands in each other's. "It's such a surprise to see you here."
"It's been so long." said Sherria.
"Wendy, who is she?" asked Izuku.
Wendy turned her head, realizing the presence of the students.
"Oh right. Sherria, these are new members of Fairy Tail; guys, this is Sherria, the god slayer of Lamia Scale." explained Wendy.
"You're a god slayer?" asked Shoto.
"Yes, I'm the sky god slayer." said Sherria.
"Does that mean you have magic that can kill gods?" asked Tenya.
"That's right, but I don't consider myself very strong, since, when I faced Wendy, I couldn't beat her." said Sherria.
"Technically, you ended up in a draw." said Charle.
"So you both possess slayer magic from the sky. I can tell you're good friends." said Ochaco.
A very slight blush formed on the two girls' faces. It was so slight that, fortunately, the students didn't notice, not even themselves.
"Y-Yes. I guess you're right." said Sherria.
"By the way, what are you doing here, Sherria?" asked Wendy.
"I had just finished a mission near here with my friends and decided to take a walk, but I didn't expect to see you around. What are you doing?" said Sherria.
"We're on a mission." said Charle.
"Really? In that case I'll help you." said Sherria.
"Are you sure? It's a Fairy Tail mission, you won't get paid to participate." said Izuku.
"I don't mind. I have a lot of free time. Besides, love is all the reward I need." said Sherria.
"Thank you so much for coming in a time of need." said the theater owner saying thank you for the fifth time.
It turns out there had been a bit of a disagreement with the staff members and they ended up quitting, leaving him alone for a play that was to be performed in a couple of days.
"Don't worry, sir. We will do our best to make the work happen smoothly." said Izuku.
"Thank you very much." said the theater owner for the sixth time.
"Stop thanking us, old man!" exclaimed Katsuki.
For the next few hours, the students, with the help of Wendy, Sherria and Charle were taking care of the details of the play. While Katsuki, Shoto, Tenya and Charle were taking care of the final details in terms of scenery and lighting, the others were in charge of rehearsing the roles that the theater owner gave them. After a while of rehearsing, they decided to go outside to hand out flyers to promote the play.
But then, a gust of wind blew the area and some of the pamphlets went flying.
"Oh, no!" exclaimed Sherria.
"I got this, you go on." said Ochaco going to pick up the leaflets.
Ochaco set about picking up the pamphlets that had fallen to the ground, though she did nothing as one or more people picked them up. She was about to pick up another pamphlet when another picked it up for her first.
"Mmm? A play?" the man asked.
"That's right, sir. It's to be held at the main theater in town. You can go if you like." said Ochaco.
"I guess I wouldn't be..." the man began before looking at the student and letting out a small gasp, as if he had seen a ghost, which confused the student.
"Uh? Is something wrong?" asked Ochaco.
"N-No. It's nothing. Just my imagination." said the man very nervously. "I'll think about whether to go see the play or not."
"Thanks anyway. I have to go, my friends will be waiting for me." said Ochaco before turning and leaving.
The man stared at her for a moment and when he lost sight of her, he quickly became nervous again and ran off as if life depended on it.
Somewhere unknown, a place as dark as a night without moon or stars, was a strange rock formation that looked like a giant hand. Inside, there were several corridors, lit by faint flames of fire.
The man from before continued running through the corridors until he ran into another man.
"Where...where is the master?" asked the man a bit tired from running so much.
"He's in his personal office, but I wouldn't recommend disturbing him because..." the other man began before the first man ran back down the halls towards the direction he told him to go.
After much running, the man entered a room where there was a man whose face was hidden by shadows, he had a white suit and was sitting in an armchair reading a book with the help of a small light lamp.
The mysterious man raised his gaze to the man who had just entered.
"I hope you have a good reason for having interrupted my reading time." said the mystery man.
"S-Sir. T-The thing about the experiment... I found them!" the man said hoping that would save his life.
The mystery man was silent until a smile formed on his face.
"I see." said the mystery man before standing up and putting the book back in its place. "You certainly did well to let me know right away."
"W-would you like me to do anything else for you, sir?" asked the man relieved to still be alive.
"As a matter of fact I do." said the mystery man before turning to look at him. "I want you to summon the five claws of darkness."
"Immediately!" the man said before leaving the room.
"It looks like things will be resolved much sooner than I expected." said the mystery man.
In another separate room, lit by several candles, there was a show-like platform. In front of the platform were five other smaller platforms, all occupied by five people.
"It's been a long time since the master summoned the five of us." said a large, muscular man, wearing sunglasses, a sleeveless shirt, and a military-style haircut.
"It must be something very important if he has done such a thing." said a woman with long orange hair wearing typical Indian clothes.
"Hahahahaha. I hope it's something fun! I've been so bored lately! Hahahahaha." said a thin man with a small chin and in his eyes were signs of madness.
"Ugh. I forgot how annoying you can be." said a man with wild red hair with yellow highlights that reached his shoulders.
"You better be really interesting." said a girl with black hair and a black suit. (She looks like Raynare from Highschool DxD, but without wings).
"Oh, believe me she will be." said a voice coming from the only entrance to the room.
Showing himself to the five, it was a man with a white suit, short white hair, and a goatee. (He looks like Hendrickson from Nanatsu no Taizai).
At his presence, the five bowed in respect.
"Master Shadow." said the five in unison.
"I'm glad to see you all here." said Shadow waving his hand for them to rise.
"I hope it's worth my time." said the girl in the black suit.
"Ludociel, as strong as you are, you shouldn't talk to the master like that." said the muscular man.
"Never mind, Lieutenant Smash. What I have to tell you is of your interest." said Shadow.
"Don't keep us in suspense, tell us." said the wild-haired man.
"Right now, Taisho." began Shadow. "I suppose you remember the 'little' experiment from a little while ago, right?"
"Yes and we also remember the failure it had." said the orange haired woman.
"That's where you're wrong, Rika. It didn't fail at all." began Shadow.
"What do you mean?" asked Taisho.
"From what I could sense, the spell acted the opposite way we wanted it to. Which means our world has a couple of visitors." said Shadow.
"And what do those visitors have to do with us?" asked Rika.
"Maybe he wants us to kill them. Hahahahaha." said the skinny man laughing like a maniac.
"Shut up already, Vlad! You're creepy!" exclaimed Taisho.
"I'll explain. At first, I thought it would take us a while to find these guests, but one of our people found a girl that fits the description" said Shadow.
"Does that mean the guests are children?" asked Smash.
"Five to be exact and they are the key to our plans." said Shadow.
"What is it you want us to do?" asked Rika.
"I want you to go get them and bring them to me." said Shadow.
"What?! Did you call us just for that?! I'm out! I'm not going to waste my time on some ridiculous child collecting mission!" said Ludociel leaving.
"Actually, I forgot to say one detail." began Shadow getting Ludociel to stop. "Turns out we only need one of them alive, the rest bring me no care. You can even do with them what you want."
Suddenly a toothy, sadistic grin formed on the girl's face.
"Whatever I want, eh? In that case, I might take part in the mission." said Ludociel.
"Master sure knows how to convince her." said Taisho.
"She certainly has a personality that is the complete opposite of her magic." said Rika.
"Yes. The last toy she had ended up very smashed. Hahahahaha." said Vlad laughing his head off again.
"Do we know where those kids are?" asked Smash.
"Before we got here I sent a few of them to investigate their whereabouts. Once we know, you will go into action. Just remember to bring me one of them alive." said Shadow.
"Actually, we'll bring two." said Ludociel with a sadistic smile.
"Two? And why is that?" asked Shadow with a grin, as he knew what the black-haired girl was planning.
"One for your business and one for mine. I'd like to play with someone from another world." said Ludociel before letting out a mad, sadistic grin.
It was the day of the play.
Izuku, who was wearing knight armor, peeked through the curtains to see the theater seats completely full, even some Fairy Tail and Lamia Scale guild members came to see her.
"Are you okay, Izuku?" the green-haired boy turned around to see Wendy and Sherria in armor similar to his own.
"Oh, yeah. I'm just a little nervous." said Izuku.
"Don't worry. Just concentrate on what we've rehearsed, and everything will be fine." said Sherria.
It was then that the green-haired boy noticed something out of the corner of his eye and as he turned his head he was petrified to see Ochaco in a bright and beautiful white dress. He couldn't help but be mesmerized by her great beauty.
"H-How do I look?" asked Ochaco a little flushed with embarrassment.
Izuku was silent for a few seconds until a blush of embarrassment covered his face.
"Y-You look good, Ochaco. You look beautiful in that dress." said Izuku.
"T-Thank you. Y-You look good too." said Ochaco whose blush increased.
"Aw, looks like love has caught up with them." thought Sherria chuckling. "I just hope that I too..."
"Come on guys, the show starts in a few minutes! Get to your positions!" said Tenya.
And so, the four of them got ready for the play.
The stage curtains opened, revealing a training field. Then a spotlight illuminated the center of the stage.
"Once upon a time, two young men dreamed of becoming knights of the realm." narrated Tenya from the back of the room.
On stage, Wendy and Sherria were introduced.
"Both had just met, but soon after arriving, they became good friends." narrated Tenya.
"Nice to meet you." said Wendy playing her part as she stretched out her hand.
"Likewise. I hope we can be friends." said Sherria shaking Wendy's hand.
"I hope so too." said Wendy.
Soon after, Izuku came out on stage, at first he looked a very nervous as he walked as if he was a robot until he stood in his place. He was quiet for a while, as nerves prevented him.
"Come on, you idiot. Say your damn line already." demanded Katsuki in a low voice.
At that moment, Izuku remembered Sherria's words, the rehearsal moments they all had together, the times they had fun.
Summoning up his courage, he began to perform.
"Everyone listen to me!" announced Izuku playing his part, which the two mages also did as they got into position. "You're here because people say you're fit to be knights, but now I'll be the one to decide that. I will make you into brave warriors who will fight for the kingdom and its sovereigns, understood?"
"Sir, yes sir!" said the two girls in unison.
In Izuku's mind, that reminded him of his first days at U.A., when Shouta gave them that test to see their capabilities, but also, when he met Ochaco, both there, and at the entrance exam.
The curtains closed and when they opened again shortly after, Wendy and Sherria were seen having a training battle.
"As time goes on, the two young women began to get stronger as they hung out together. But as their strength increased, something else inside of them increased non-stop." narrated Tenya.
The curtains closed and when they opened, a scene of two rooms separated by a line was visible, with Wendy and Sherria on either side.
"What is this feeling I have? I feel my heart pounding every time I'm with her. If it's what I think it is, then what should I do? I don't want our friendship to be destroyed." said Sherria.
"When I'm with her, I feel happier than with anyone else. I wish we could spend more time together, but I'm afraid she doesn't feel the same way I do." said Wendy.
Izuku and Ochaco couldn't help but compare themselves to the characters they were playing. It was as if the play was telling their story.
"Without them realizing it, they both developed feelings for each other, but weren't brave enough to confess it, as the fear of losing the friendship they had left them paralyzed." Tenya narrated.
Izuku had to put his thoughts aside, as he had to return to the scene.
The curtains closed and when they opened, the training field is seen again, with Izuku, Wendy and Sherria standing.
"Listen to me well, I have just been informed that the enemy is approaching the borders of the kingdom! His majesty has requested that all available knights report for battle! In my opinion, I would refuse to let you go into battle without having completed training, but if it is his majesty's order, I can do nothing! I can only wish you luck and hope that you can return alive!" said Izuku.
"That left a lot for the two young women to think about. If they were going into battle, there would be a chance that one of them might not be able to return." narrated Tenya.
The curtains closed and when they opened, the scene of the two rooms came into view, with Wendy and Sherria in their respective rooms.
"What can I do? I don't want to lose her, but I don't know what will happen if I tell her how I feel." said Sherria with sorrow and sadness.
"What will happen if one of us doesn't return after the battle? I don't know if I can go on living in a world where she's not with me." said Wendy as if she was about to cry.
The curtains closed after that.
"Even though they didn't get to confess, the two young women went to the battlefield." narrated Tenya as a shadow show showing the battle between Wendy and Sherria against the enemy was displayed through the curtains. "After much fighting, the two young women rose to victory, but suddenly, an evil soldier lunged towards them with his sword pointed at them. However..."
In the shadow show, Wendy and Sherria could be seen finishing off all the enemies and celebrating their victory, but a third silhouette showed itself and lunged towards them, but then, Wendy pushed Sherria away, taking the attack with her and as she fell to the ground, Sherria finished off the soldier who harmed her.
The curtains opened, revealing a battlefield as the scene, with Sherria on her knees holding an unconscious Wendy in her hands as she fake cried.
"I... I'm sorry. I wish I could have told you sooner, but it looks like this is the end. Before you go, I must confess something I should have told you long ago. The truth is... I love you. I enjoyed the experiences we had together, the joy we shared. Even when we first met, I knew there was something about you that I liked." said Sherria.
Izuku and Ochaco began to look at him funny, as part of what he was saying wasn't in the script of the play.
"I just hope that someday, you can return these feelings I have for you" Sherria said before leaning in while closing her eyes.
Before anyone had a further comment, Sherria gave Wendy a kiss on the lips.
Needless to say, the students were in shock, as that was DEFINITELY not in the script of the play. Even Izuku and Ochaco blushed at what they saw.
Suddenly, Ochaco remembered that they were still in the play.
With Shoto's help, a second spotlight illuminated the stage from above drawing Sherria's attention.
Ochaco began to descend to the stage with the help of the wires as if she was flying. On that occasion, she was wearing, along with her white dress, a pair of prop wings.
"W-who are you?" asked Sherria.
"I am the spirit of love, my dear. I couldn't help but overhear your profound confession. Do you really love her?" asked Ochaco playing her part.
"Yes. I love her more than anything in this world. I can't go on living if she isn't by my side. I would do anything to get her back." said Sherria.
"Your determination towards your feelings has touched me. Therefore, I will grant you your wish." said Ochaco releasing some dust on the two girls.
Soon after, Wendy let out a moan as she opened her eyes.
The two mages looked at each other before a smile graced their faces and they gave each other a tight embrace.
"May your love last for all eternity." said Ochaco as she was ascended upwards while being watched by the two mages.
"And so, after the miracle performed by the spirit of love, the two young women continued their training to be brave knights while having a happy life sharing their love for each other." narrated Tenya before the curtains closed.
At the sight of the play being over, people rose from their seats and began to applaud at how good the play was, there were even a few whistles.
"Sherria!" shouted Wendy as she ran towards the sky god slayer. "What you said during the play...was it true?"
Sherria blushed and looked away to the side, implying that every word was true.
"Oh. I never knew you felt that way." said Wendy.
"I'm sorry!" began Sherria bowing in front of the sky dragon slayer. "I swear I'll never do anything like that again and..."
"Sherria!" exclaimed Wendy interrupting the sky god slayer. "You have nothing to apologize for." said Wendy taking her hand. "It's just that you surprised me a little."
"Just ask her already!" the two slayer mages turned their heads to see Charle with the students, the rest of Team Natsu and some of Sherria's friends from Lamia Scale. "If you really have feelings for her, say it to her face and not through the dialogue of a play."
Sherria smiled at him and nodded.
"You're right." Sherria began before turning her gaze back to the sky dragon slayer. "I'd like to tell you that... I love you, Wendy Marvell. Would you go out with me?"
At first, Wendy was quiet, which worried the god slayer a little.
"Yes. Of course I'd like to, because..." began Wendy blushing a little. "The truth is... I love you too, Sherria."
At that, the two gave each other a deep kiss on the lips as a sign of the love they felt for each other. The onlookers at the moment congratulated them for their happiness and for making it.
Meanwhile, Izuku and Ochaco were left thinking about what had happened, both in the play and afterwards. What if something happened that forced them to separate? Whether one would have to move out or something much worse. They couldn't keep quiet all their lives about how they felt about each other. They had to tell them at some point. Take real courage.
It was then that the two of them made a serious decision.
"I can't keep quiet forever." thought Izuku.
"I don't want to be in this doubt much longer." thought Ochaco.
"I've decided." thought Izuku.
"It's clear to me now." thought Ochaco.
"As soon as we get back to our world." thought Izuku.
"When we return home." thought Ochaco.
"I'll tell him how I feel!" thought Izuku and Ochaco in unison.
AN: What did you think, huh? The truth is that 'Wendy x Sherria' is one of my favorite fanon couples. I would have liked it to be canon. But that's what these stories are for, to create couples that we would have liked to have been possible. Don't you agree?
