"…And that's how I got this scar!" Grime finished. "It was the most intense experience of my life. I mean, you will not believe the birds in my world."
Sasha had just narrowed her eyes at her toad partner while Luz and Amity looked absolutely engaged with the story that was told.
"Grimey, you just got off topic." Sasha said.
"I did?" Grime asked.
"Kind of felt like it." Luz replied. "I mean, as much as I really enjoy backstories, I am more interested as to how Sasha got that scar on her face."
"But….." Grime pouted.
"Look, just let me explain the story." Sasha requested.
And so that's what Sasha did, she started to explain the story of her, Anne and Marcy. She told them as to how she, Anne and Marcy got to Amphibia, how Sasha gained respect from the toad army and became their general, how her reunion with Anne got out of hand, how she and Grime were fugitives, how Grime got the warhammer, how Sasha's reunion with Marcy went, how everyone got along until she and Grime betrayed everyone, how they found out about the supposedly nice King Andrias, what happened to Marcy and Anne, how them two escaped and how they have been defending Wartwood for a couple of months before stealing the calamity box from King Andrias and ending up here.
"….And that's where we are." Sasha said to a really engaged Luz and Amity. "Now, do you have any questions?"
Luz and Amity were silent, trying to process the story until Luz raised her hand up. "Wait, shouldn't you have those Anime powers as well?"
"Huh?"
"I agree with Luz, shouldn't they have given you those powers as well?" Amity asked.
"I don't know about it." Sasha replied. "Maybe I just haven't gotten them due my connection to the stone not being strong enough."
"Yes! And soon when you unlock the power known as Anime." Grime said while rubbing his hands maniacally. "Imagine all the destruction we can cause to the king's robots."
"Actually, Anime is a form of Japanese animation." Luz explained to the toad captain.
"Oh. But can it also be the name of the powers Sasha have?"
"I….Uh, never mind." Sasha then turned her attention to Luz. "Okay, how did you end up here? Because I doubt you were born here on account of the elf over here."
Amity glared at Sasha. "I'm not an elf."
"Cariño, I don't think she meant to offend you." Luz assured her. "Besides, you'd look really pretty dressed as an elf."
"Luz!" Amity pouted as her whole face turned red since she was in blush overload.
"Okay, let's tell my story….."
And so Luz just did that, she told her story in the best way knows she could, montage! She told the story of how she got here, to how she became the student to Edalyn Clawthorne, to how she met her best friends; Willow and Gus, Eda's curse, the glyphs, how she and Amity got to know one another instead of being enemies, the infamous Grom dance, the more glyphs Luz discovered, Luz rescuing Eda from the Emperor, getting King his memories, the discovery of Phillip Wittlebane, the cheek kiss, the Palisman incident, the day Luz and Amity got together and rebuilding the door to the human realm leading to the mirror dimension instead of the human realm.
While the montage went on, the four were suddenly on top of the Grom tree, then they were in the library, then they were walking around Bonesburrow and finally, they were having tea in otter onesies.
"So, that's it." Luz finished. "Nothing else to tell."
Instead of asking what the heck happened between Luz and her mom, Sasha and Grime were more befuddled by what had happened. Were they just in otter onesies drinking tea?
"What….Happened?!" Grime exclaimed.
"She doesn't want to talk about what happened between her and her mom." Amity replied.
"No, not that!" Grime exclaimed. "What happened?! Were we just having tea dressed like otters?! Otters!"
"Oh, that's the merits of a montage." Luz replied. "A lot of stuff that doesn't need explaining sometimes happens in a montage."
Grime, obviously being super freaked out by Luz's montage powers, stood up and took about 17 paces away from her and sat down.
"Is this going to take some time to get used to?!" Amity asked.
"I…..Don't know." Grime replied as he wiped away a stray tear.
"Okay, it's clearly obvious I'm not in the human realm." Sasha announced. "I better get going. And Luz, good luck with getting back."
"You too Sasha." Luz replied.
"Okay." Sasha then started to look around the area she was currently in. She ran around the tree and then searched through her cape.
"Uh…..You are going, right?" Amity asked.
"No! No! No! No! No!" Sasha repeated. "No! Oh no! No! No!"
"What?" Amity asked.
"The box! It's gone!" Sasha replied. "Grime, please tell me you have the box!"
"I thought you had it!" Grime replied.
Sasha gave a frustrated groan. "What am I going to do?!"
"You want help?" Luz asked.
"Unless you have a calamity box, then I doubt you'd be of any use." Sasha retorted.
"Look, I know you just met me and I think you might have some trust issues." Luz explained. "Especially you Grime. Again, sorry for freaking you out with the montage."
"It's okay!" Grime replied. "I should have expected strange human things by now."
"But, I am trying to find a way back home so maybe I might be able to help." Luz said. "Maybe we can help each other."
Sasha then smiled. "You're really willing to help someone you've just met, aren't you?"
"Hey, when I first met my friend, Willow, I was willing to help her." Luz responded.
Sasha was at first hesitant since she was a stranger, but then she realised that she had no other choice. "Alright Luz, what do we do?"
"Hey Luz, can I talk to you?" Amity asked her girlfriend.
"Sasha, can I talk to you?" Grime asked his second-in-command.
And so, Grime pulled Sasha away while Amity pulled Luz away so they can each talk with them in private.
"Sasha, are you sure it's a good idea to trust someone we just met?" Grime asked. "I mean, you told her what was practically your whole life story."
"Grime, I know you were really freaked out by the montage thing." Sasha said as she placed two firm hands on his shoulders. "And in all honesty, I was as well. Because I am now questioning my whole existence. But, she is probably our only way back to Earth to get Anne so we can stop Andrias once and for all. And besides, I think telling my redemption story would have gotten them to trust us."
"I don't fully trust her and I don't buy her so-called redemption story." Amity said to her girlfriend.
"Amity, what if she is telling the truth?" Luz asked. "And if she really is Anne's friend then, I must help her."
"Have you thought that maybe she could double cross you? I mean, if I know double crossers, which I have a lot of experience in, then I say she is one."
"You may not buy her redemption story but….She probably does. She looked really regretful when she said she double crossed her best friends."
"Luz, I know stopping you is impossible but please remain a little bit cautious. For me." Amity requested as she placed her hands on Luz's shoulders.
Luz then pulled a serious expression. "Okay, I'll try. Besides Am, it's not like a robot is just going to land out of nowhere and start blasting."
Just then, one of Andrias' robots landed in front of them from out of nowhere while doing a superhero landing. It pulled its head up and started scanning the targets. Two were scanned as human, one was scanned as toad and one was scanned as elf.
"Uh oh." Sasha responded before the robot fired a missile.
While Sasha, Grime and Luz ducked for cover, Amity quickly formed an abomination shield and got in front of the missile. The explosion only caused Amity to fly backwards and crash into the Grom tree and to lay on the ground, looking unconscious.
"Amity!" Luz ran to her girlfriend just to make sure she was okay.
Sasha and Grime only narrowed their eyes at the robot and readied their respective weapons.
"Alright robot, ready to be scrap?" Sasha asked the robot before running towards it in an attempt to slash it.
But as the robot tried to do the same, it was suddenly hit by an icicle that only shattered on impact. The attack baffled both the robot and Sasha before they saw Luz with a stack of papers at the ready.
"Aww man, I thought that would have impaled it." Luz said.
The robot was about to fire another round, but Grime quickly smashed its head with his warhammer, causing a dent to appear.
"Is that all you got?!" Grime asked the robot.
Sasha quickly charged at the robot and tried to stab it in the face, but it tried to stab her with a wrist blade but she quickly performed a roll, avoiding the blade. Then Grime hit the robot again which gave Sasha the opportunity to stab it in the chest.
But somehow, the robot wasn't going down. "Uh oh."
Grime tried to hit the robot again, but it quickly slammed its fist in his face but he as well, was really tough.
Sasha quickly let go of the sword and avoided every one of the robot's hits and even a random missile, that almost hit a passing Tiny Nose.
"The Isles are exploding!" Tiny Nose started running away in terror. "I must infowm evewyone!"
Sasha tried to pull the sword from the robot's chest, but it was really lodged in well and she was already getting exhausted. While Grime did manage to get a few hits, but he kept getting thrown about.
But before Sasha could do a move to make her collapse, Luz popped from behind the robot and placed two glyphs on the robot's eyes. The human witch quickly jumped off the mechanical beast where the glyphs exploded, causing the robot to be blinded.
"Took you long enough." Sasha remarked.
"Waiting for an opening." Luz explained. "Grab the sword!"
Sasha quickly ran to the blinded robot, pulled the sword from its chest and performed a quick, clean decapitation to its head.
The act amazed Luz while Grime just applauded like crazy. "Woo! That's my adopted daughter! In a way, I've adopted her illegally."
"¡Oh Dios mío! That was incredible!" Luz complimented.
"Eh, not to brag but….Okay, to brag, I am pretty great." Sasha said before turning to the robot and started to analyse it.
"Is that one of those robots?" Luz asked. "Because if they are from the Boiling Isles, then I didn't know of their existence."
"Nope, they're from Amphibia." Sasha replied.
"Wait, Amphibia?" Grime repeated. "That can only….."
It was at this moment, Sasha and Grime both realised something. "Hey Grimey, no one happened to burst through the door, right?"
"Last I checked, it was General Yunan and the King's army." Grime replied.
"General Whonan?" Luz asked.
"General Yunan. General of the king's army." Sasha replied. "Really annoying. She goes on a long speech about her achievements. Saying how she was the youngest member of the Newtopian army and other stuff I don't care about."
"Aww, I was really impressed with her efforts." Said a familiar voice that made Sasha's blood boil. "Uh…Can someone bring my face to the screen so I can get a good look to who I'm talking to?"
Grime pulled one of the robot's arm without a hitch and lifted it to Sasha's face. It was none other than the King of Newtopia, King Andrias.
"Hey Sasha, how's it hanging?"
"Hey, I like this guy." Luz remarked. "He's rather friendly."
"Hey thank you. Kid, just for that compliment, I'm gonna give you the choice of being spared or having me kill you. Okay?"
Luz's only response was. "Uh…."
"That, would be King Andrias." Sasha replied. "The one that is trying to kill me."
"So, I see you're back on Earth. That's great, for you. But, better for me because most of my army is there which means they'll soon have that Calamity box and activate it to bring me to your world and…..You, are on Earth, right?"
"No!" Grime replied.
"GRIIIME!" Sasha exclaimed.
"Oh! I wasn't meant to tell him?" Grime asked.
"I wouldn't!" Sasha replied.
"Well, that's disappointing. Well, wherever you are, I hope you can put up a good fight against my robots and Yunan, because they won't be merciful."
Luz then pulled up the head of the robot Sasha recently decapitated. "Buddy, you should have seen the clean decapitation."
"You should have seen the clean aim when I pierced my sword through Marcy's chest." Andrias said rather intimidatingly.
Sasha clenched her fists and pulled her sword out. "Low blow, dude."
"You can not stop me Sasha, no matter how hard you and Anne try, I will succeed. Your planet will be mine. Better dressed Anne."
"Yeah?"
"I'm coming for your universe next, okay? Hope I get to spare ya. Andrias out!" Andrias winked before hanging up.
"We need to find that box, now." Sasha said while Grime threw the arm on the ground.
"It could be anywhere Sasha." Grime stated.
"Well, we need to start somewhere." Sasha then turned to Luz. "Luz, where should we start?"
"I don't know." Luz replied. "That box could be anywhere."
"Frogspawn!" Sasha groaned. "Well, let's get to work right away."
"I wouldn't." Luz said. "It's going to rain soon."
"Yeah, you think rain can bother me?" Sasha asked smugly.
"Have I told you about boiling rain?" Luz then rolled up her sleeve to reveal a burn mark. "This was from two days ago." Sasha and Grime froze, realising that this human witch was definitely telling the truth. "Do you need a place to wait out for the rain to disappear? Because those trees don't help."
"Yes, thank you." Sasha replied. "What about her?"
It was at this moment, Amity started to come back around. "Did we win?" Amity asked. "And what was that?"
Luz approached her girlfriend. "The boiling rain storm is closing in and I'm taking our guests back to the Owl House."
"Owl?!" Grime then tackled Luz and forced her against the Grom tree. "You're trying to feed me to owls?!"
"Hey, let her go!" Amity demanded as she stood up and readied her abomination just in case.
"Grime, I think it's just a nickname." Sasha said. "It is a nickname, right?"
"Well yes and no." Luz replied. "There are no owls. Unless you count Hooty and Eda. But don't worry, they're not giant."
"Oh good." Grime let go of Luz due to her reassurance. "Take us there."
"You alright Amity?" Luz asked.
"Yeah. Just a bit woozy." Amity replied.
"Shame you got up. I was about to offer carrying you."
Amity froze and turned red in the face before purposely dropping to the ground. "Luz! I think my leg might be bruised. Could you carry me?" Amity had a bit of a playful grin on her face which Luz recognised and smiled back.
"Of course my lady." Luz replied before picking up her girlfriend and carrying her, bridal style. "Scoop!"
"How does a relationship between a human and elf actually work?" Grime's question only made Amity narrow her eyes at the toad captain.
Luz then motioned Sasha and Grime to follow her and she started walking, all while carrying her awesome girlfriend.
"If the robots are here, then Yunan is obviously here." Sasha said.
"Well, let's hope she ends up in the middle of nowhere." Grime said. "I'd pay good money to see her confused."
At Blight manor, Odalia Blight, the wicked mother of Amity, was walking in the living area with a cup of tea in her hand. She stopped and narrowed her eyes at the person in the room.
"Who are you and what are you doing here?!" Odalia asked.
Turns out, a confused General Yunan was in the living room trying to figure out her surroundings. "Uh…Sasha?! Grime?! You're in this….Fancy….Mud hole?!"
The description of her house being a mud hole made Odalia spit her tea out of her mouth. "Mud hole?!"
"Okay, I can tell I angered you, so let me explain everything." Yunan offered. "But first, my name. My name is General Yunan, Scourge of the Sand Wars, Defeater of Ragnar the Wretched, and the youngest newt to ever achieve the rank of general in the great Newtopian Army!"
"You say that like I'm meant to know you." Odalia remarked.
Meanwhile, Luz lead her new acquaintances to the house of the hour, The Owl House; All while carrying Amity.
Sasha and Grime marvelled at the sigh of this ginormous house. It looked incredible! It looked like a fantasy house come to life.
"Wow." Sasha responded.
"I know? Incredible. You'll love who resides there."
"You know what Luz? This house looks really nice with a name of the Owl House." Grime complimented.
"Oh my gosh a giant toad!"
"What?"
Before Grime could react, the house demon known only as Hooty tried to swallow Grime whole. But could only get his head and chest in his mouth.
"Hey!" Sasha then pulled her sword out, ready to attack the house demon.
"Sasha, Hooty!" Luz then carefully placed Amity on the ground as she tried to rescue both Hooty and Grime.
