Tears ran down his cheeks. Her limp body felt weightless without the life in her. Pleading, Steven begged his love to wake up, but deep down inside he knew she wouldn't wake up.

"Please don't leave, Cynthia. We've got so much to do together. Hold on!" He squeezed her hand. The warmth wasn't there anymore.

It didn't take long for Steven to rush to a hospital. Gently, he had laid Cynthia on the passenger seat adjacent to the driver seat with her seat belt on. With the speed of a latios, the Hoenn Champion seated himself on the driver's seat. Shifting the gear into reverse, Steven backed out of his driveway. The gear went to drive at the right angle. Forcefully, the gas pedal immediately lowered under the pressure of Steven's stomp.

The windshield wipers went to and fro over and over again. The rain calmed down slowly and surely. Driving pretty quickly, the Hoenn Champion almost hit a hundred miles per hour. Everytime Steven pressed the honk, the drivers in front of him would yell obligatory yells of profanity. WIth a scoff, Steven's mature self let him act out in vengeance.

It only took a matter of five minutes to arrive at the Mossdeep hospital. Not caring about his well-being, Steven didn't wear his raincoat or parasol. His black socks soaked in the puddles on the street. Limp in his arms, Cynthia's only shield from the rain was her boyfriend.

Bursting through the doors of the Mossdeep hospital, the Hoenn Champion told the receptionist everything he knew. Calmly, the receptionist instructed the young man to calm down. In a fit of rage, Steven yelled at the receptionist.

"Listen sir, you must calm down. I know you're stressed, but you must talk slower for me."

With a long inhale, Steven spoke in a calmer voice. "I found Cynthia on the ground of my kitchen, so she needs a doctor."

The receptionist nodded. She put the microphone on her headset to face. "We need a doctor for the Sinnoh Champion. She's unconscious in the Hoenn Champion's arms . . . Good." she met Steven's eyes. "A medical bed is coming to you. Once it arrives, gently put the patient on the bed, and we'll take care of the rest."

Passing by, five minutes gave Steven enough time to take a break. After five minutes passed, a medical bed arrived. Carefully, he set her down on the mattress. Immediately, she was sent to the emergency room. Other nurses barricaded Steven from entering the ER since it was a part of protocol.

His beating in his chest only rushed. Adrenaline pumped through his veins. Steven could imagine the sweat dripping off his hands. Repetitively, his heel bounced up and down. Ticking, the clock's hands slowly turned. Never in his life had he felt as impatient as he did at this time. His mind raced to the worst case scenarios. What if she didn't wake up? What would happen to her if she found drugs? What will she do when he's not home? Taking a deep breath, Steven's heartbeat slowed.

She's going to be fine. She's going to be fine. We'll be home soon. All I need to do is calm down. She'll come out of those doors perfectly fine. She'll be fine. Steven repeated in his head in hopes that would ease up the terror hidden in his chest. He took another deep breath for extra comfort.

See, Steven, there's the doctor now. He'll tell you everything's fine. Everything's okay. You're going to go home with her. You're completely fine!

Walking closer to Steven, the doctor took a deep, long inhale before exhaling. To Steven's discontent, the doctor shook his head. Yet, Steven's blissfully kept his hopes up to instantly crumble before him.

"I'm sorry to say this, but she couldn't make it. We tried our best."

Steven's world crumbled right under his feet. What was he going to do with Cynthia gone? What happened to their dreams of getting married? All those dates and planning for nothing!

"No. No! She can't be gone. Did you try everything?!" Steven argued.

The doctor grabbed onto Steven's arm.

"We tried everything we could." the doctor restated his words.

Soon, Steven's lips quivered. Suddenly, he felt the tears build up. The next he knew, time stopped. Only him in this lonely world. Running down his skin, the tears dropped. The tears fell to the hard tile flooring, making a miniature pool.

A/N: Kinda short I know. I'll try to quickly fire these as much as I can. This is very calming for me. If there's anything you find weird in this chapter, just do as Farla did and write a review. This chapter might change completely if I come up with a better idea. I just wanted to write to relax my nerves. Just remember to stay safe with the world-wide pandemic.
