Day 7- Foxiyo: Playing with Hair

Fox sat on the floor in front of a couch in the main room of Senator Chuchi's apartment. He had been told to wait while she changed into something more comfortable. He had taken the liberty of removing his armor, though was having second thoughts about that; suppose that was too forward of him? He would hate to offend her, though he supposed it wouldn't be too hard of matter to fix. All the same, with how far they've come, he wouldn't want to ruin it.

He heard a door open and the Senator stepped out, her attire much more appropriate for relaxing. Though what took Fox's breath away was her magenta hair, fully down, reaching nearly down to her waist.

The man felt incredibly stupid, but couldn't look away. He would have gotten up to go see her if she hadn't come over to him. She sat down on the floor across from him.

"Why are you on the floor?" Riyo asked, slight concern in her voice. "You can sit on the furniture. It's not as though you haven't before."

Fox then broke his gaze away from her and felt himself blush. He shrugged. "I guess...it seems more...I don't know..." He had been going to say appropriate, but how was it really anymore appropriate to be in the floor?

Riyo laughed. "It's alright, Fox. I was just wondering." She reach forward to touch his face. "You don't have to get embarrassed."

"I'm not embarrassed," the man muttered. "Just...flustered...senator." He looked back up, making eye contact.

"I told you can call me by my name. I don't mind, I promise," she reassured him, taking hold of his hand and squeezing it.

Fox shrugged. "Yeah, I know. But that's...it still feels...odd. Not uncomfortable, just...strange.

"I understand," Riyo nodded. "But I'm sure you'll get used to it."

"Yeah, hopefully," Fox sighed.

Riyo leaned forward, adjusting her position. On her hands and knees, she crawled a little bit towards him, and turned around. She placed herself between his legs, one on either side of her.

Despite Fox's surprise, he was rather happy about this. And when Riyo leaned back against his chest, his heart began to race. He allowed himself to smile.

The man was still unsure about their relationship, regarding protocol and possible fraternization. However, he did love this woman, and spending time with her meant so much to him! Though the idea of spending tonight her at her place was something he was still processing.

Riyo reached behind them onto the couch and grabbed her datapad she dropped there earlier. "If you don't mind," she began. "I have just a bit more work I'd like to finish up. It shouldn't take long, and I'd like to do it before it gets late. Are you alright with that?"

Fox nodded. "Of course, that's fine. Do what you need to."

"Thank you," Riyo sighed. "I promise it won't be long."

Fox watched her quickly begin to type things up, though he had little desire to see what it actually was. Chances are, he wasn't really interested. Instead, he leaned back and closed his eyes, taking a deep breath. He released the tension form his shoulders and smiled. This was nice.

He sat back up and put a hand on her head. She made no movement to stop him, so he assumed he was in safe territory. He started to lightly pet her head, making short movements, not actually picking up any hair. All the same, he marveled at it.

It was perhaps the softest thing he had ever felt. He had heard things described as soft and silky, and Fox could only assume that this was what they meant. Riyo's hair was not only wonderful to look out, but also to feel.

Although Fox felt he shouldn't, he couldn't help himself from running his finger through the hair. He stared as he watched his fingers pass through it. He was fascinated at how it was so easily split, yet as soon as he pulled his finger away, it all went back to looking like a homogenous sea.

Fox couldn't stop staring.

He sat on the floor, Riyo between his legs, hard at work typing away, and he barely noticed as either of them moved to become more comfortable. He didn't even notice when she placed the datapad down and simply sat there, humming as he continued. It was all so new to him, how could he not become so immersed in exploring?

"Are you enjoying yourself, Fox?" Riyo eventually chuckled.

Snapped out of his trance like state, Fox immediately pulled his hand away from her head. "I'm sorry." He knew the response was most likely incorrect, but all past experiences with a question like that were normally not followed by anything pleasant.

Riyo turned around to face him. "You don't have to stop you know. I just wanted to know if you were happy and having a good time." She looked him in the eyes. "I know I was."

Fox blushed and looked away. "I...uh...I'm glad...I...um..." His face grew very hot. "I was enjoying it," he eventually mumbled. "It was...very nice."

Riyo smiled. "Why are you so embarrassed? You've nothing to be ashamed of."

Fox shrugged. "I don't know. Habit?"

Riyo sighed and pressed her head against his chest. "Well, we can work on that. Together. I love you, Fox."

"I love you too," he whispered back. "Riyo."
