Day 18- Rexsoka: Dancers AU

Ahsoka finished putting on her ballet slippers and tried not to roll her eyes as she saw Lux approaching. Couldn't he give it a break? Pretending not to notice him, she began her stretches.

The boy cleared his throat. "May I stretch with you, Ahsoka?" Lux asked, the question innocent enough, but couldn't he take a hint?

"I guess," came the response with a shrug.

Ahsoka was tired of dealing with him. He's been bugging her at dance class for weeks now, and somehow he still thought she was interested. Sure, he was a good dancer, but he was too much a puppy dog.

Ahsoka couldn't wait until Rex showed up for class. Hopefully they'd be able to dance together at some point. Maybe than Lux would get it.

Ahsoka looked longingly at the door, willing her boyfriend to walk in. She tried as best she could to tune out whatever it was Lux was blabbing on about. Probably politics; his mother was very invested in them; he was roped in too.

Giving up on the door, Ahsoka turned back around to face Lux, feigning interest as she gave a noncommittal nod every now and then. He was barely even stretching.

The door creaked and Ahsoka whipped her head around to see Rex had just come in. She smiled and waved to get his attention, beckoning him to come over. The blonde boy walked over and sat beside her.

"Hey Ahsoka," he smiled giving her a hug. Rex looked over his girlfriend's shoulder. "Bonteri," he said nodding his head.

Lux returned the gesture. Suddenly feeling uneasy, he got up and walked away to stretch somewhere else.

Ahsoka laughed. "Thank goodness! I was afraid you wouldn't show up and I'd be stuck listening to whatever it was he was talking about."

Rex snorted. "The guy still not taking a hint? Honestly, what will it take?"

"I don't know," Ahsoka shrugged. "But he needs to quit while he's ahead."

"Or before he's too far behind," Rex mumbled as he got on his own slippers. "If you give me a few minutes of stretching time, love," Rex said. "Maybe we can practice some of those lifts before class starts?"

Ahsoka nodded as she stood up to begin basic warm-ups. "Sure! That'd be fun. Maybe the teacher will finally notice how good you are."

Rex chuckled. "That be nice. I mean, sure I'm not as good as some dancers are, but I'm pretty darn close, so I don't why she's ignoring me."

"Maybe she doesn't think you're pretty enough," Ahsoka teased. "Which is nonsense, because you are the most beautiful ever. Not even just among dancers. Just ever. Among everyone."

"Thanks, love," Rex smiled. "Unfortunately, I'm not the one you need to convince."

"Well," Ahsoka sighed. "Maybe those lifts will show her. Come on, let's try it out."
