Day 20- Rexsoka: Hiding
"Hurry up, Rex!" Ahsoka shouted behind her. "They're gonna catch us!"
Rex laughed as he tried to keep up with the girl. "I'm trying, but you don't make this easy, and neither do they!"
Ahsoka turned the corner and saw a door. Without skipping a beat, she opened it and found a closet. As Rex came up she grabbed his hand and pulled him in. The door closed leaving the two of them in the dark.
Ahsoka was panting and she could hear Rex doing so as well. She stifled a giggle as she listened for the footsteps of the various men they had just pranked together.
The men pounded down the metal hallways of the ship, right past the closet. It was all Ahsoka could do not to burst out laughing.
Rex smiled down at her, barely able to make out her face in the dim light. "That was certainly exhilarating."
"No kidding," Ahsoka let out with a deep breath. "I had no idea you could be so much fun."
Rex rolled his eyes. "The men needed a lesson, but I wasn't going to be able to prank them myself. That's what they get for messing with me too many times."
"It was getting boring around here anyway," Ahsoka said. "I'm glad you value my expertise so much. I'm quite flattered."
"Don't let it go to your head kid," Rex said wagging his finger at her.
"Don't worry," Ahsoka sighed. "I won't."
"Good," Rex huffed. "The plan wasn't to give you more ideas."
Ahsoka giggled before letting the tight space fall into silence.
The closet was just big enough to fit the two of them, plus the various cleaning supplies. Standing right across from each other, Ahsoka could feel Rex breaths passing between her montrals. Certainly not as stimulating as it might be as if he was breathing onto her lekku, but it was still fairly distracting.
By this point she could feel her face flushing and knew her blue coloring had likely deepened as well. The dark was comforting in that regard, but it hid his face.
Resisting the urge to reach up and touch Rex's face, Ahsoka clenched her hands into fists and took a deep breath.
"So," Ashoka sighed. "Do you think it's safe to go out?"
Rex shrugged. "Probably."
Opening the door, Rex checked in each direction. "Seems the coast is clear," he said.
Ahsoka came out and blinked. "That wasn't so bad. Hopefully we won't get murdered later."
"Yeah, hopefully not," Rex said rubbing the back of his neck.
"Best not to stick together for now," Ahsoka stated. "Keeps us safer. I'll be seeing you around then." Ahsoka waved and skipped off.
"Yeah," Rex sighed waving back. "See you around."
