Hildegard's Apology Part Three

Princess Hildegard sniffled as she washed up for dinner. Her bottom still stung from being spanked earlier and she felt miserable.

'Why did Mommy have to be so mean?' Hildegard thought to herself. She began to wash her hair.

'All I did was ask for a pelicant egg', the Princess continued to think to herself. 'And one of those bubble butterflies... and one of everything. And Daddy told me...'

Hildegard started to feel rather bad about how she pressured her father that afternoon. She washed the suds out of her hair. Maybe she was being rather excessive during the trip. 'Daddy was kind enough to take me on the Dads and Daughters trip' she thought. She then shut of the shower.

As she dried up, Hildegard winced in pain as she wiped the water from her bottom. She started to think about Miss Elodie as well as her fellow class mates. 'Great, I bet all of the other Princesses think I'm a loser' She thought. She then grabbed her bathrobe and walked back into her room to get dressed.

'Amber probably doesn't even want to be my friend anymore' Hildegard thought as her eyes felt moist. 'All because of MY behavior!'

"Ouch!" Hildegard cried out as she squeezed into her dress.

The Princess continued thinking. 'It's because I endangered her and her friends over that stupid egg. And of coarse because of Sofia... Sofia..!'

Hildegard then remembered what she said to Princess Sofia yesterday.

"...Even though Roland isn't your real father."

"Why the heck did I say that" Hildegard asked herself out loud. She began to fill really bad for Sofia.

The Princess then jumped as someone knocked on her door.

"Your Highness" spoke a voice on the other end, it was Sven, "dinner is almost ready."

"Thank you, Sven, I'll be down in a minute" replied Hildegard.

Hildegard then finished up her hair before heading to the grand dinning haul. Once she arrived she saw that her sister, Princess Astrid along with her Parents, King Henrik and Queen Ingrid, were already there. She then took a seat, wincing as she did so.

'It hurts to sit,' Hildegard thought to herself. 'It really hurts to sit! It hurts to stand, it hurts to walk! It even hurts to fart!' She looked up towards her parents; Henrik looked solemn and Ingrid looked rather angry.

"Hildegard" spoke up the King, "me and your mother have been discussing your long term punishment."

Hildegard just looked at her plate in shame.

Ingrid spoke up with, "for endangering your class mates and for disobeying your teacher, you are officially grounded for one month."

Hildegard gasped. "One month" she protested, "but Cleo invited me to her costume party next weekend! Now I'll have to miss it!"

"Well, too bad!" snapped the Queen.

Hildegard started to cry before her Dad spoke up.

"Hildy" said Henrik, "I'm sorry but me and your mother need to be firm in out punishment."

Hildegard just pouted as she turned back to her food. Ingrid then spoke to her Husband.

"Henrik" asked the Queen, "what are we doing for dessert tonight?"

"Well" spoke up Henrik, "I thought we'd..."

"Why are talking about dessert if you wont even let me have any!?" shouted Hildegard.

"Hildegard Kristina!" snapped Ingrid, "you are being punished!"

"STOP RUBBING IT IN!" screamed Hildegard.

"Hildy, calm down!" begged Astrid.

The Queen stood up. "So help me, young lady, if you raise your voice one more time!"

Hildegard slammed her fists onto the table as tears streamed down her cheeks.

Ingrid screamed "DO YOU WANT ANOTHER ASS WHOOP...!" The Queen then stopped herself before her husband looked at her.

"Ingrid, did you spank Hildigard" asked Henrik as his wife blushed.

"My parents always spanked me!" protested Ingrid.

"Your parents be bothered!" snapped Henrik, "you and I both agreed that we'd never hit our kids!"

"What was I supposed to do?!" yelled Ingrid, "you spoil our daughter and then run off for some meeting!"

"How was I supposed to know when the Frigidian Messenger would arrive!?" yelled back Henrick.

A massive argument continued between the King and Queen.

Hildegard then buried her face in her hands and began to bawl very loudly. Astrid tried to comfort her but she just got up and ran out of the dinning haul.

"Hildegard wait!" called Astrid.

"JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!" screamed Hildegard as she ran into her room. "J-just leave me alllllooooooooone!"

Hildegard then slammed her door shut before running up to and throwing herself into her bed. Sobbing hysterically, she thought to herself. 'It's all my fault! I always screw everything up! Mommy hates me and now she hates Daddy! I HATE MYSELF!'

Hildegard wailed for several more minutes before sobbing less hysterically. Soon she realized it was dark out. She looked out her window to see the moonlight casted over the icy Freezenburgish landscape. Exhausted and depressed she shut off her room's lights and lied back in bed.

As she lay, Hildegard kept thinking about what she did that day. Being a brat to her father, disobeying Miss Eoldie, endangering her friends, throwing a temper tantrum at dinner, yelling at Astrid. Of coarse it all spiraled back to what she told Sofia yesterday.

"Roland isn't your real father... Roland isn't your real father... Roland isn't your real father..."

"W-why did I s-say that" she whispered to herself. "W-why d-did I say that!?"

Hildegard continued to guiltily reflect on herself before her tiredness got the better of her and she fell asleep.
