Cutie Pageant Conundrum
At Country Corral, there was excitement in the air as Country Trolls were busy preparing a huge stage for something important. No, they were not putting on a play. No, there wasn't a talent show going on. As a Country Troll was hanging a large banner that said, "Trollstopia Cutie Pageant," Poppy was overseeing the preparations, looking over a clipboard while saying, "Great job, everyone! Keep up the great work"! Meanwhile, Delta, who was helping with the building of the stage, was hammering a floorboard in while declaring, "Poppy, this here's ayy genius idea ta have Trollstopia host ayy Cutie Pageant. It'll be such ayy treat faw ever'one ta witness Lonesome Flat's fanciest event." Poppy replied, "No problem, Delta. I've been hearing about Cutie Pageants so much that it inspired me to host one here in Trollstopia, especially since this one will allow Trolls of all types to compete in it. Though, I don't exactly know what parts make up the Pageant contest itself." Suddenly, both Trolls heard a hawk crow as a bird shadow was seen whooshing past them on the ground, before Gust appeared, saying, "Whel, luckily faw y'all, ay've been ayy past judge ov these here Cutie Pageants, so, ay know exactly how these contests go. Cutie Pageants are made up ov three separate parts: first up is the display, where contestants tend ta model their fancy clothes ayn' hairdos. Then, we go ta the questionnaire, where we ask each contestant ayy different questshun ayn' we hear their replaaes. Finally, there's the talent portshun, where our contestants all each perfawm ayy special talent ta impress the judges ayn' the audience. In the end, whoevuurr shaanes their cuteness the most is declared the winnuurr." Hearing this seemed to impress Poppy, as she said, "Ooh! Now that sounds like so much fun! This will definitely be an exciting show for everyone to enjoy," as Delta chuckled and said, "Ayn' ay have ayy hunch on who's gonna be most excaated about this here the most. Suddenly, the sound of thunderous, rapid galloping could be heard as Poppy looked up from her clipboard and saw Holly running in, shouting a lot of "Woohoos" at the top of her lungs before she stopped in front of Poppy and asked, "Did ay hear the news raheet?! We're hostin' ayy Cutie Pageant here?! In Trollstopia"?! Poppy nodded, saying, "Yep, you heard right, Holly."
Holly squealed in joy, saying, "Ay've been wantin' ta compete in ayy Cutie Pageant evuurr since the last one ay was in back at Lonesome Flats! It's been so long since ay've been in one; ay love doin' them pageants! The saaght of the gorgeous outfits ayn' big hairdos, the sound ov the crowd cheerin' ever' taame y'all step out onta the stage ta present yourself towards them! the scent of hairspray in the air used ta keep the big hairdos up in propuurr place, ay love it all, y'all"! Holly then gasped and said, "Ooh, ay bettuurr get ready! Ay gotta go make my teeth so white, it'll make milk jealous," and galloped away to get ready for the Cutie Pageant. Poppy watched Holly gallop away excitedly, saying, "Wow, I've never seen Holly this excited before! I can't wait to see how holly will do in the pageant." Delta then approached Poppy, saying, "Ay just hope Holly doesn't let it get ta huurr head again." Now confused, Poppy turned her head and asked, "Huh? What do you mean"? Delta answered, "Whel, Poppy, ya see, when it comes ta pageants, Holly Darling's known ta taken them whel...quite seriously." Poppy scratched the back of her head while saying, "What do you mean by that"? Delta then said, "In all ov my years ov hostin' Cutie Pageants, ay've noticed that Holly becomes ayy bit ov ayy, how do y'all say it, drama queen, when these here pageants happen. She becomes ayy bit mawe vain, ayy bit mawe serious, ayn' ayy bit mawe intimidatin' too." Poppy's jaw dropped in surprise, saying with a shudder, "I've seen Holly be a bit scary when she does her guilt trips, but i never thought she could also be intimidating." Delta stated, "Trust me, Poppy, ay've witnessed it with my own eyes ov' the years." Poppy then said, "Don't worry, Delta; while you host the pageant, I'll make sure to try and get Holly to loosen up a bit and not take this contest so seriously." Delta sighed a breath of relief, saying, "Thanks, Poppy; that'd be ayy huge help."
Meanwhile, not too far away from where the stage for the pageant was being set, Buckaroo was watching the preparations being made, sighing sadly while she did. Aggie, who was talking to Satin and Chenille as they went to go find good seats for the pageant, said to the twin Pop Trolls, "This is gonna be so much fun to watch! I've never seen a Cutie Pageant before"! Satin replied, "Imagine all of the fabulous fashion we'll get to see," while Chenille added, "All the glamour and fabrics before our very eyes," as the fashion twins shouted in unison, "Inspiration c'est magnifique"! The trio of girls all laughed, enjoying themselves before they stopped at the sound of Buckaroo sighing. Aggie was the first to turn her head and see the sad detective, flying over to Buckaroo, asking, "Buckaroo? Y'all alraheet, partnuurr"? Buckaroo looked up at Aggie, saying with a melancholy tone of voice, "Oh, ay'm just, Aggie. Just peachy," before sighing sadly again. Satin then interrupted, saying, "Really? That doesn't sound like an "I'm ok" sigh," while Chenille added, "Sounds more like an "I'm sad" sigh." Buckaroo then turned around, facing all three girls, saying, "Yeah, y'all are raheet; ken't haade what ay'm obviously feelin'. Ay am feeling ayy bit down, ta be honest." Aggie patted Buckaroo on the back while saying, "What's got you so down, Buckaroo? Maybe we can help you with whatever's wrong." Buckaroo then said, "Actually, it's kaand ov personal, but y'all deserve ta know. See, ay've been keepin' this here secret faw ayy long taame, ayn' y'all are actually the first ta know about it." Buckaroo took a deep breath in and out, saying, "See...in all ov my laafe, there's one goal ay've been wantin' ta accomplishes since ay was ayy lil' Trolling." Aggie guessed, "Solving a big mystery," as Satin suggested, "Lifting the world's heaviest mushroom," while Chenille added, "Win the Lonesome Flats rodeo"? Buckaroo replied, "Naw, naw, ayn' already done that, 12 taames, but nawht it eithuurr. See...as much as ay'm embarrassed ta admit it, ay've always wanted ta compete in ayy Cutie Pageant." Aggie, Satin, and Chenille were all surprised, with Aggie saying, "Wow, really? I didn't think you were one to compete in one of them; I always thought you were kind of a farm girl tomboy." Buckaroo chuckled and said, "Yeah, ay am, but y'all see...despite me being ayy rough n' tumble kaand ov Troll who loves ta get dirty, wrestle, ayn' do loads ov hard labor, whaale ay'm normally nawht one who kinders faw fancy girly things, no offense, deep down...ever'taame ay see ayy Cutie Pageant, seein' all them contestants up there, showin' off, sporting their fancy outfits, it just looks like fun, ayn' it'd be somethin' interesting ta try."
Satin then stated, "If you want to compete in one, why not join the one that's going on today"? Buckaroo then sighed again, saying, "As much as ay want ta gerls, ay ken't, unfortunately." When Chenille asked, "Why not," the detective answered, "Because, with them pageants, only one thing has prevented me from bein' able ta bring myself ta enturrin': the dress code rule. Where guys have ta wear suits ayn' gerls gotta wear dresses. Othuurr Trolls are faane with that rule, but nawht me; ay ken't stand wearin' ayy dress! Ay ken't even bring myself ta dom it faw them pageants"! Satin then asked, "Why? What's wrong with wearing a dress," which prompted the detective to answer, "Nothin's wrong, but ay'm against wearin' dresses because, ta me, wearin' ayy dress would just feed inta the stereotype." Satin and Chenille raised their eyebrows in confusion, asking, "Stereotype," as Buckaroo answered, "It's laake an assumption some Trolls think aw believe in due ta specific things that some Trolls do, wear, say, think, etc. Faw example, since a lot of gerls normally wear dresses ayn' skirts, that gets up ayy thought that all gerls dress that same way, ayn' ay've hated that thought evuurr since ay was ayy lil' gerl because we can wear anythin' we want, just the same as boys! We don't gotta wear anything fancy if we don't want ta! That's why ay love ta wear formal suits so much, nawht just because they look naace, but because in ayy suit, ay'm able ta express myself faw who ay am ayn' how ay wanna look ayn' nawht just look laake ever' othuurr gerl. Ay'm all about genduurr equality, in ever'thing from work ta clothing, ayn' if ay wear ayy dress up on that Cutie Pageant stage, it'd just be an insult ta ever'thing ay believe in, ayn' it'd feel like ay'm betraying myself." All three girls felt bad for the detective as Aggie gave Buckaroo a big hug, saying, "Wow, Buckaroo, I never knew wearing a suit meant this much to you. You definitely should get to wear whatever you want, and no rule should hold you back from doing so."
Buckaroo showed a small smile, saying, "Ay appreciate your kaand words, Aggie, but unfortunately, the world ov Cutie Pageants is the only place where ay am held back from partakin' in ayy suit. Worst part is that as much as ay want ta tell Delta about it, ever'one seems ta laake these pageants as they are, ayn' ay don't want ta ruin anythin' by openin' my mouth ayn' speaking out about the dress code." Suddenly, Aggie felt a vision coming as in her vision, she saw Buckaroo walking out onto the stage in a fancy suit and hat, as the crowd cheered for her while the judges all looked very impressed. Once the vision ended, Aggie snapped back into it, before she looked around, making sure no one was around, before she said to Buckaroo, Satin, and Chenille, "I just had a vision, and it was about you, Buckaroo." Buckaroo gasped and said, "Me? What did ay do, or better yet, what am ay gonna do," as Aggie answered, "You were on the stage, and in a suit. and everyone was cheering for you"! Buckaroo's jaw dropped as she asked, "Really, for real? But how"? Aggie answered, "I don't know, but you were, which means that we got to help you find a way to enter that pageant without the dress code rule bothering you." Buckaroo shrugged and stated, "Ay really appreciate the help, Aggie, but unless ay was ayy guy ayn' nawht ayy gerl, there's no way ay ken compete without wearin' ayy dress. Ya know, it's taames laake these here that ay wish ay was ayy born ayy guy instead ov ayy gerl." Satin suddenly had a great idea, saying, "That's it! Buckaroo, you're a genius," which prompted the detective to ask, "What do y'all mean"? Chenille then said, "Maybe there is a way you can compete in the Cutie Pageant while wearing a suit: if you were disguised as a boy"! buckaroo gasped and stated, "Hold up, y'all. are y'all statin'...ay should disguise myself as a guy"? Satin nodded and said, "Yeah! then that way, you can compete in a suit undercover without anyone knowing"! Aggie then said, "Then, after the contest, you can talk to Delta about possibly getting the rule changed if she sees you perform." Buckaroo gave it some thought before saying, "Whel, it's ayy bit risky, but if y'all say it'll help then...ok, ay'm in." Aggie swung her arm around Buckaroo, saying, "Don't worry, Buckaroo; we got your back," while Satin and Chenille stated in unison, "We'll make your outfit"!
Back at the stage, later on, Holly was one of the first Trolls to sign up for the pageant as she received her advertisement sash from the sign-up Troll. Poppy was making sure all of the spotlights were in place when she saw Holly approach her, saying, "Poppy gerl, how the hey am ay supposed ta intimidate my opponent with ayy sash that says, "Trollstopia Ice Cream Shop"? Poppy sheepishly chuckled and answered, "Well, one, it helps with sponsoring, and two, it's not so bad, Holly; I bet it will look great with your outfit." Holly sighed in frustration while saying, Okay, faane, but this is important, Poppy: when ay compete, ay need ta win. Ay have ta be as tough as nails aw else those othuurr pageant contestants are gonna eat me alive! Metaphorically speakin'." Poppy then said, "I'm sure the other competitors aren't taking this contest seriously, Holly. Besides, this is for fun, so, why don't you unwind a bit and have fun with it too, whether you won or lose"? Holly crossed her arms and said, "Trust me, Poppy, it's all fun ayn' games until the contest really starts. They are ruthless"! Suddenly, Holly and Poppy both saw Stereo approach them, who was also wearing a sash, but her sash said, "Scrapbook Classical Crest theater," as Stereo said, "Hey, yo! What's up, ladies? Hug"? Poppy squealed and said, "I'm always down for a hug," and hugged Stereo while Holly stayed back, watching with a careful eye while asking, "Stereo, you're doin' the pageant too"? Stereo nodded while saying, "You know it, yo! I figured it'd be *imitates airhorn noises* to try something new and fun out! I also made lemon pop overs if you girls want some, so, when you'ready, just "pop" on over by me! *laughs* See you girls," and went to go get ready for the pageant, with holly saying to Poppy, "See what ay mean? Ruthless"! Poppy then said, "Holly, I think you might be overestimating things a bit; Stereo as just being friendly with us, she's our friend, remember"? Holly replied, "Yeah, ayn' usually the very friendly ones are your biggest competitors! Ay gotta make sure ay up my game," and slammed her fist into her hand in determination, while Poppy watched in concern.
Later, at around noon, it was time for the pageant to start. Backstage, every contestant was in their dressing rooms, getting ready to go on stage. In one dressing room with a red star on it, Buckaroo was fixing up her dark blue tie with a white dove design in the mirror, sporting a very fancy blue tuxedo with golden trimming designs on the sleeves and fancy white cuffs, and dark blue pants with white cuffs, saying, "Man, y'all, ay feel so nervous." Aggie massaged Buckaroo's shoulders while saying, "you're gonna be fine, Buckaroo, don't worry. Just stay calm, breathe, and you'll be stellar on stage." Satin then pulled out a box, saying, "We just need to add the finishing touches, and you'll become a full-on guy for the contest." She opened the box and pulled out a swamp green wig styled in a men's scissor cut, saying, "first, the fancy elegant boy hair, courtesy of Melody," and gave the wig to Aggie. Buckaroo quickly pulled her real hair so Aggie could place the wig on and in a few short seconds, it looked perfect, almost making Buckaroo unrecognizable. Even the detective herself couldn't believe it, chuckling while commenting, "Hoo-wee! If ay didn't know an' bettuurr, ay'd say ay'd look like an identical twin"! Everyone broke into laughter as Chenille picked up a black cowgirl hat with golden swirl designs, a red stripe around the middle, and in the middle of the stripe, at the front of the hat, was a silver star, while saying, "Next, the hat on top," and gave it to Buckaroo, who placed the hat and adjusted it on her head. Aggie, Satin, and Chenille all oohed and aahed in unison as Buckaroo looked in the mirror, smiling while stating, "Wow, y'all, ay look just laake ayy guy"! Aggie then said, "all you need now is to work on your guy voice, and no one's gonna recognize you one bit. Try aiming for deep, but not too deep, and keep your throat relaxed but not too relaxed. And make your pitch low, like...middle east low." Buckaroo cleared her throat to try and make her voice match the desired pitch, saying, "Hi," repeatedly until finally, her voice sounded like Biggie's, but lower, as she said, "Hi, pleasuurr ta meet y'all." Satin, Chenille, and Aggie all nodded, saying together, "Perfect," as Aggie then said, "Now, let's just go over the final details. Your name is.." as Buckaroo answered in her disguised voice, "Tom Rigby." Satin then asked, "where are you from," as Buckaroo answered in her disguised voice, "Lonesome Flats." Then, Chenille asked, "why are you here," as Buckaroo answered once more in her disguised voice, "Ta compete in this here Cutie Pageant." Satin then said, "Looks like you're all ready then "Tom"!
Buckaroo stretched her legs and loosened up her muscles, saying, "Ok, ay feel ready. Let's do this, y'all," and stepped out of her dressing room. In Holly's dressing room, Poppy saw Holly adjusting her dress so she'd look extra fancy for the pageant. She was wearing a white and purple dress with a dark purple hem cut by her knees, a silver bracelet on her right wrist, with a matching choker, and a purple headband with a silver horseshoe on it on her head, with her hair styled in a very large and fancy bun, and her bangs styled wavy like that drooped over the right side of her head. Holly was sitting in front of the mirror, saying, "Y'all ayy Great White Shark Critter, Holly Darling. Cruisin' through the depths of the cold, inky waters. Y'all know what them Seal Critters don't. Soon, y'all shall hug upon them and fill your heart with the rich love of victory." Poppy was utterly surprised to be seeing this, as she went inside the dressing room, saying, "Uh..Holly? Is everything ok over here"? Holly turned around, seeing Poppy approach her while saying, "Oh, ever'thing's faane, Poppy. Ay'm just gettin' inta the zone befawe ay head out on stage." Poppy then said, "Well, I wish you great luck, Holly, and-," and was reaching out to hug Holly when she saw the Country ambassador flinch, saying, "Woah, Poppy gerl! Ay love ya ayn' all, but naw touchin' the dress aw the hair, until aftuurr the contest, 'kay"? Poppy nodded, saying, "Uh...sure, but wouldn't you like a big, warm "good luck" hug before you head out on stage"? Holly replied, "Ay don't need luck," and faced the mirror, saying, "Taame ta turn these here waters red with love," and walked past Poppy heading to the stage, while Poppy watched with worry. Outside, the audience was cheering as Delta declared, "Welcome, ever'one ta the Trollstopia Cutie Pageant! Ay'm your host, Delta Dawn, ayn' it's ayy real pleasure ta be brinin' this here event ta y'all faw all ta see ayn' enjoy! We got ayy great lineup ov contestants, but befawe we bring them out, let's meet our judges"!
Delta pointed to the table where the judges were as each Troll got up (revealing to be Gust Tumbleweed, Queen Essence, and King Branch), and waved at the audience, with Delt saying, "Fun sheriff Gust Tumbleweed, Funk Queen Essence, and Pop King Branch"! Delta then said, "Alraheet, y'all! Ready ta meet our line-up? Then, prepare ta meet our contestants as we start the first category: the display! Each contestant will come out one by one ayn' model their dress ayn' hairdos faw y'all ta see! Are y'all ready"? The crowd cheered loudly as Delta pointed to DJ Suki who started to play music on her Wooferbug while the photographers were ready to take pictures of all the contestants that would come out to model. Every contestant backstage prepared themselves to go out one by one, with Buckaroo tipping her hat, praying her disguise was gonna work, while Holly stretched her arms and was ready to compete. Aggie, Satin, and Chenille sat together in the crowd, anticipating how Buckaroo was gonna do in the display category, with Aggie praying, "Golly, I hope this works."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Diva (Glee Version)~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(Instrumental)
All of the contestants were ready to make their appearance on stage one by one, as they waited to be called one by one backstage.
Rhythm: Hoh (All (contestants): Hey!)!
Blues: I'm a, a diva (Rhythm: Yeah, diva!) I'm a, I'm a, a diva! I'm a, I'm a, a diva (Rhythm: Yeah!)! I'm a, I'm a, a diva (Rhythm: Yeah!) (All (contestants): Hey!)!
Gia Grooves: I'm a, I'm a, a diva (Rhythm: Oh!)!
Stereo: I'm a, I'm a, a diva (Rhythm: Yeah!)!
Soon, the display portion started as the first contestant, who was a female pink Country Troll dressed in very fancy attire, started to strut down the stage to show off her outfit and hairdo to the crowd and the judge. After her turn was done, 3 other contestants followed her, doing the same thing she did: strutting down the stage and showing off their fancy appearance to the judges, hoping to earn high points.
All (judges): (Holly: Na na na!) Diva is a classy version of a hustla. Of a hustla, of a, of a hustla.
(Holly: Na, na na!) Diva is a classy of a hustla (Stereo: Of a hustla!). Of a hustla (Buckaroo (disguised voice): Yeah!), of a, of a hustla (Blues: Oh!).
After the first 4 contestants went, the next ones to compete were R and B, who entered together, as they walked down the stage to model their outfits and hairdo. Rhythm was wearing an emerald green dress with diamond designs and a brown belt, and a white, fluffy cardigan over it, and had her hair up in the same style she usually had it in, but it looked a lot bigger and had a few braids that followed it down the side. Blues was wearing a golden glittery dress with a brown fur coat, silver star earrings, sunglasses over her eyes, and for once, was not wearing her hair in her puffball pigtails, but instead, had it loose and styled ina fancy afro with silver star hairclips clipped on.
Rhythm: Stop the track, let me state facts! I told you: give me a minute and I'll be right back (All (judges): Uh-huh!)!
Blues: Fifty million 'round the world, and they said that I couldn't (All (judges): Get it!)! I done got so sick and filthy with Trollars, I can't (All (judges): Spend!)
After R and B returned backstage for the next contestant to go, two more competitors went before the next contestant showed up, and to a lot of Troll's surprise, it turned out to be Synth. He was wearing a red dress shirt with gold broad trimming on top, long sleeves that were bedazzled with golden bracelets, black leotard pants, and a red feathery boa around his neck, and he also was wearing sunglasses on his face as well. While his hair still remained in the optic fiber-like strand high ponytail, like usual, he was wearing a dark red hair tie that had jewels on it, and while he was strutting down stage, he made his hair into the shape of a heart, showing it off to the crowd, who cheered, and it seemed to impress the judges as well. Aggie was very surprised to see this, quickly taking a picture and saying as the photo came out, "I'm so keeping this! Wait till Trollex sees this too"!
Synth: How you gone be talkin'? You act like I just got up (All (contestants): In it!)! Been the number one diva in this game (All (contestants): For a minute) (Holly: Yeah!)!
I know you read the paper, the one that they call The (All: Royalty!)! Every radio round the world know me 'cause that's where I (All: Be!) yeah!
All (contestants): I'm a, a diva (All (judges): Hey!)! I'm a, I'm a, a diva (All (judges): Hey!)! I'm a, I'm a, a diva (All (judges): Hey!)! I'm a, I'm a, a diva (Stereo: I'm a diva!)! I'm a, I'm a, a diva (All (judges): Hey!)! I'm a, I'm a, a diva! I'm a, I'm a, a diva (All (judges): Hey!)! I'm a, I'm a, a diva!
All (judges): (Blues: Na na na!) Diva is a classy version of a hustla (Gia Grooves: Hustla!). Of a hustla (Rhythm: Yeah!), of a, of a hustla.
(Blues: Na, na na!) (Stereo: Na na na; Diva is a classy version of a hustla!) Diva is a classy version of a hustla. Of a hustla (Buckaroo (disguised voice): Yeah!), of a, of a hustla (Rhythm and Synth: Mmm!)
The next contestant that came after a wave of other competitors was Gia Grooves, a Pop Troll that Aggie saw working at the daycare in Pop Village. Gia Grooves was currently wearing a dark blue dress with golden sequins on it with a hem cut near the top of her thighs so her legs were almost fully in view, matching dark blue high heels, a black belt bedazzled by rubies, and a dark purple fur cape on her back, and her hair was curled and let straight down her back, and on her head was a light blue headband with flowers on it. On her wrist was a golden bangle, and a silver necklace on her neck as well.
Gia Grooves: When I pull up (All (contestants): Ooh!), prepare to see my glow up (All (contestants): Ooh!)! Keepin' it chill like ice in the cooler (All (contestants): Fresh!)!
Sweet and spicy! (All (contestants): All the spice!); divas dress up nice! (All (contestants): Looking nice!)! Stop and see our fancy outfits, and don't think twice (All (contestants): Woah!)!
Buckaroo was now about to go as she took a deep breath in and out, saying quietly to herself, "Here we go," and walked out onto the stage. She modeled her outfit and after showing off her hat, she took it off so the judges could see her "hair" and everyone was cheering for her in the crowd, especially Aggie, Satin, and Chenille, who cheered the loudest as they saw the detective walking onto the stage, with Aggie saying in her mind, Yes, my vision came true, and Buckaroo is doing great so far! As Buckaroo saw all the cheering and smiling faces on everyone, including Delta and the judges, Buckaroo's heart was beating rapidly in excitement; her dream was finally coming true, and no one even knew she was a girl under her guy disguise; the plan was working! She continued to show off her pageant appearance to the crowd, just like the other contestants did.
Buckaroo (disguised voice): Tell me somethin' (All (contestants): Tell me somethin'!): Where your boss at? (All (contestants): Where your boss at?)? Where my buddies up in here that like to play it back (All (contestants): That like to play it back, friend!)?
I wanna see ya (All (contestants): I wanna see ya!); I'd like to meet cha (All (contestants): I'd like to meet ya!)! Let me show y'all (All (contestants): Come show me!) who's the real diva (All (contestants): Whos' the real diva!)!
All (judges): Diva is a (Holly: Oh!) classy version of a hustla (Holly: Ye-eah!). Of a hustla (Stereo: Yeah!), of a, of a hustla.
(Buckaroo (disguised voice) and Synth: Na, na na!) (Rhythm: Na na na; Diva is a classy version of a hustla!) Diva is a classy version of a hustla. Of a hustla (Gia Grooves: Yeah!), of a, of a hustla (Blues: Ow!)
3 more contestants later, Stereo was ready to strut as she winked at Synth, who blushed from seeing his wife in her outfit before she went out on stage. As Stereo walked and modeled her appearance, she was wearing a pink sparkly leotard that was half-sleeveless, meaning that her right sleeve was not there (part of the style) and she had a left sleeve, and the leotard was covered in pink glitter and seashells designs that actually glowed rainbow neon colors. and over her leotard, she wore a magenta fur coat, both her wrists had shiny emerald bracelets, a matching emerald choker around her neck, and her hair was in a braided bun, tied with a beautiful dark blue bow that had fish designs on it. Stereo had a lot of fun showing off her outfit, and even spotted Aggie, waving hello to her sister-in-law, as Aggie happily waved back.
Stereo: Since fifteen in my stilettos been struttin' in-in (All: This game!) (All (contestants): Game!)! What's your name? Was the question they asked when I (All: Hit the stage!) (All (contestants): Stage!)! I'm a diva, best believe me; did y'all hear (All: What I said?) (All (contestants): Said!)! I'm just here for all the fun, so, let's just (All: Party instead!) (All (contestants): Instead!)!
Holly secretly watched backstage and was surprised about how much attention that Stereo was getting for her outfit, and it made her begin to worry that Stereo could actually have a chance to beat her, making Holly mutter quietly, "Uh-oh, Stereo maheet be mawe ov ayy threat than ay thought."
All (contestants): This is a stick-up, stick-up! I gotta walk and flaunt my swag! A stick-up, stick-up! Show me that y'all can flaunt your swag!
Synth: All my Trolls, come and stand up!
Blues: We see you, come do the same!
Buckaroo (disguised voice): Take it to the next level!
Holly: It's time to play the ga-ame!
All (contestants): I'm a, a diva (All (judges): Hey!)! I'm a, I'm a, a diva (All (judges): Hey!)! I'm a, I'm a, a diva (All (judges): Hey!)! I'm a, I'm a, a diva!
This is a stick-up, stick-up! I gotta walk and flaunt my swag! A stick-up, stick-up! Show me that y'all can flaunt your swag!
All (judges): Diva is a (Holly: Oh!) classy version of a hustla (Holly: Yeah, diva!). Of a hustla (Holly: Yeah!), of a, of a hustla.
(Gia Grooves: Na na na!) Diva is a classy version of a hustla (Holly: Hustla!). Of a hustla, of a, of a hustla (Holly: I'm a diva!).
All (contestants): I'm a, a diva! I'm a, I'm a, a diva (Holly: I'm a diva!)! I'm a, I'm a, a diva! I'm a, I'm a, a diva!
Holly took a deep breath and went out onto the stage, beginning to walk and model her appearance to the crowd, who cheered loudly when they saw Holly show up. Poppy watched from backstage, praying Holly would do ok, as Holly smiled confidently, thinking she had this in the bag.
I'm a, I'm a, a diva (R and B: I'm a diva!)! I'm a, I'm a, a diva! I'm a, I'm a, a diva (Synth: I'm a diva!)! I'm a, I'm a, a diva (All (judges): Hey!)!
Stereo saw Holly walking on the stage and decided to give her a little boost of good luck.
Stereo: You can do it, Holly! Woo-hoo!
The minute Holly heard Stereo's voice wishing her luck, she got startled and unfortunately made a misstep, Holly stepped on the inside of her dress and tripped, causing her to fall and land hard, making the audience, judges, and even Delta become concerned for Holly's well-being, as Delta announced, "Yaakes, folks; it appears Holly Darling took ayy bit ov ayy tumble." Holly groaned and got back up, quickly brushing herself off while saying, "Ay'm good, y'all," before she looked down and gasped at what was now visible: a rip on her dress near the hem cut. Holly whispered in a panic, "Oh naw, my dress," as she quickly forced a smile and completed the rest of her modeling session before she walked backstage, as the next contestant came out. Once Holy made it backstage, Holly allowed herself to feel worried and galloped back to her dressing room while Poppy ran after her, shouting, "Holly, wait"! When Holly made it to her dressing room, she quickly sat down, pulled out a purple thread and needle, and quickly sewed up the rip. Once the rip was all stitched, she cut the thread with the needles off, placed it down on the table, and looked at her stitch work, saying, "it's slaaghtly visible, but it'll do faw now," and then saw Poppy enter the dressing room, asking, "Holly, what happened to you on stage"? Holly answered, "Ay plummed out messed up is what, Poppy! Stereo distracted me by shouting, "Y'all ken do it, Holly! Woo-hoo! Ken y'all imagine anythin' mawe devious aw cutthroat than that"?! Poppy answered, "I'm sure Stereo didn't mean to do that on purpose; she was just being nice to you. You know her; she loves to encourage other Trolls." Holly sighed and said, "Poppy gerl, ay've been doing these here Cutie Pageants ayy dozen taames; ay know how Trolls competing act. She knows ay'm the biggest competitshun 'round here ayn' is just playin' maand games with me. If it's maand games she wants ta play, then game on." Poppy groaned and said, "Holly, you're taking this too seriously; Stereo would never play mind games with anyone"!
On cue, suddenly, both girls heard a knock on the door and saw Stereo had approached them, luckily not hearing their conversation, as the glittery Techno Troll said, "Hey, what up, Poppy? And Holly, how you doing girl? I saw that fall, and I'm really sorry if my cheer made you trip like that. I didn't mean to, I just thought you'd like a friendly cheer before you head on stage." Holly then scoffed, saying, "What? Naw, Stereo, that wasn't your fault. Ay just...wasn't lookin' where ay was walkin', naw worries." Stereo then asked, "Really? You sure," as Holly got up, saying, "Sure, ay'm sure; y'all would be surprised how often that mistake occuurrs." Poppy wanted to speak up, asking, "How oft-," before she felt Holly use her hair to push Poppy out of the dressing room and close the door, before Holly stated, "Speakin' ov event, great job on the display! Ay love your outfit"! Stereo smiled, saying, "Thanks, Holly. Satin helped me design and make it, I was a little nervous no one would like it, but everyone seemed to enjoy it. I even made my husband blush on my way here. You think I did alright"? Holly nodded and said, "Heck yeah ya did, sugar. So, how y'all feelin' about the Q&A porshun comin' up"? Stereo answered, "I'm feeling *imitates airhorn noises* about it. I'm great at answering questions, even if I don't know at first," and chuckled. Holly then said, "Ay just hope y'all don't say the wrong thing by accident." That part made Stereo confused as she asked, "Wait, is that possible"? Holly then realized that now was the perfect moment to play minds games with Stereo, saying, "Oh, ay wouldn't worry about that, it's bettuurr if ya don't hear about it," and started to walk away, but stopped when Stereo said, "Wait, Holly, can you tell me? It's my first pageant and I want to make sure I do everything right. So, can you tell me what you meant by "saying the wrong answer"? Holly turned around and said, "Whel, ay suppose, but do y'all really wanna know? Ay surely don't want ya ta feel scared aw anythin'." Stereo nodded as Holly said, "Whel, ok, but don't say ay didn't warn ya. See, these here quesshuns ain't laake the regular ones y'all hear and answer ever'day; they're deep. They have a huge impact because how you answer it lets othuurrs see how you view the world, how you view change, and etc. If y'all say the wrong answuurr to the quesshun, it can make ever'one sad, or angry with ya."
Stereo gasped in shock, saying, "Really," as Holly said, "Oh yes. One taame, a young girl just laake you was about ta answuurr the quesshun she was asked, but she said the wrong thing, ayn' ever'one got really upset, ayn' hated her since then." Stereo felt so stunned and scared, her knees quaked in worry that she might say the wrong answer and end up in the same situation that "the girl" Holly mentioned went through. Stereo gulped nervously as Holly then patted her on the back, saying, "but ay'm sure y'all do just peachy. See ya on stage," and exited the dressing room, leaving a frightened Stereo to freak out in Holly's dressing room. Back on stage, later on, all of the contestants were lined up, ready for the Q&A portion, with Delta saying into the mic, "Ladies ayn' gentle trolls, it's taame faw our Q&A segment of the Cutie Pageant. Ayn' our first quesshun goes ta Miss Holly Darling." Holly approached Delta's side, waving at the crowd, who applauded, before Delta asked, "Ok, Holly. In 30 seconds aw less, what would be your response ta ayy conflict where two Trolls both want ta play the same game, ayn' neithuurr one ov 'em want ta share it"? Holly replied, "Oh, Delta, that is ayy very important quesshun. Ay guess...ay would first make both Trolls feel bettuurr with ayy big, warm hug because hugs always help othuurrs feel bettuurr when they're sad." Everyone in the crowd awwed from how cute her response was as Holly continued with, "Ayn' then ay'd suggest that they could play togethuurr, takin' turns so they each have ayy fauurr chance at winnin'." The crowd applauded Holly, who bowed before stepping back into her spot, with Stereo nervously whispering, "Nice answer, Holly," while Holly answered, "Thanks. Good luck, y'all will be great," as Stereo gulped nervously again before she was called next to answer. She approached Delta, who had the next card ready, and asked, "Ok, Stereo, in 30 seconds aw less, what would ya do ta convince someone who hasn't heard ov Trollstopia befawe ta come ayn' live here"? Stereo was too frightened, unsure of what to say, as she muttered, "Uh...Uh," while Holly said, "You can do it, Stereo! Woo-hoo," as the female Techno Troll felt her nerves freeze up. she couldn't talk, move, or do anything, and out of the panic and nervousness she felt, Stereo shouted, "Oh, glowsticks," and ran backstage, much to the crowd's and judges' confusion. Seeing Stereo run off, Holly smirked and whispered to herself, "Ayn' game ovuurr," as the Q&A portion continued. After Synth and 4 more Trolls, went, Buckaroo was called up next.
Buckaroo cleared her throat, prepping her disguised voice, as Delta read her the next question, "Ok, Tom, here is your quesshun. In 30 seconds aw less, how would ya handle a disagreement between boys and girls about who would play a game better"? Buckaroo smiled, knowing this question was right up her forte, as she answered in her disguised voice, "See, faw me, personally, equality with boys ayn' gerls is somethin' ay'm very passionate about. Don't mattuurr if it's sports, food, or fashion, we all shouldn't just state that boys ayn' gerls are bettuurr at one thing ayn' nawht othuurrs. Faw the truth is, we all are capable of doin' anythin' we want. Boys ken do ballet if they want, the same way gerls ken play football, or dance hip-hop if they want. So, in relation to the quesshun, we shouldn't need to disagree in the first place, because we all are equally capable of playing the game as well as anyone else, ayn' in the end, don't teamwork and compatibility mattuurr mawe than who ken play it bettuurr"? Everyone in the audience was very moved by Buckaroo's answer and gave her a huge round of applause, including Delta and the judges, as Aggie said, "That was so moving," and Satin and Chenille added while wiping away happy tears from their eyes, "So inspiring"! Once the Q&A portion had come to an end, the competitors were given a 15-minute intermission to prep for the final part of the pageant: the talent portion. Holly was doing some vocal exercises for the singing part she was going to perform as her trick for the talent part. However, she got interrupted when Poppy entered the dressing room again, saying, "Holly, what did you do"? Holly answered, "Ay just wished Stereo good luck is all; ay play by the rules ov these here pageants." Poppy then said, "Holly, I overheard your conversation to Stereo through the door earlier, and you were scaring her with that story you made up; you can't treat Trolls like that, that isn't like you." Holly then said, "It isn't my fault; y'all don't understand how competitive the pageant contest are, ayn' Trolls ov all kaand want ta win, laake ay do, ayn' if ay have ta act all tough ayn' intimidatin' so ay ken bettuurr my chances to win, then so be it"! Poppy facepalmed before asking, "Holly, does winning this tiara matter more to you than your friends"?
Holly was about to retort something when she stopped, realizing that Poppy struck a good point there. She wanted to win, more than anything, but...Stereo was a really good friend, and she was always fun to hang out with. Seeing that she might've finally broken through to Holly, Poppy placed a hand on her shoulder and said, "Holly, I know that these Cutie Pageants mean a lot to you, and that it's fun to compete and win, but winning isn't as much fun when you're hurting those you love. I mean, you scared Stereo so much with that story, that she even ran off and quit the pageant." Hearing that, Holly gasped in shock and said, "She...quit," as Poppy nodded and stated sadly, "Yeah, so looks like you're finally gonna get to win that tiara after all." Holly couldn't believe it; she's always had a bit of an intimidating persona when it came to doing these pageants, but to hear that she actually made someone quit the pageant...Holly was stunned. Then, that feeling was replaced by a new feeling: guilt, regret, and sadness. She was so focused on winning the tiara, she didn't realize how bad she behaved with Stereo, and how she wasn't being a good friend at all. With realization hitting her hard, Holly felt tears build up around her eyes as she stated in a teary-eyed voice, "Ay...ay didn't mean faw that ta happen, a-ay just wanted ta win. Ay didn't mean ta make her quit. Oh my stars, what have ay done," and hugged Poppy while crying hard, with the Pop Queen reassuring her by saying, "It's ok, Holly, I know you didn't mean to." Holly sniffled and said, "It's all my fault, Poppy; ay drove her away ayn' made her fraaghtened! Ay was bein' ayy bad sport this whole taame, ayn' ayy bad friend! Ay don't deserve ta win aftuurr the way ay treated huurr! If Stereo was here still now, ay'd call huurr ayn' tell huurr how sorry ay am faw how ay acted ayn' faw blaming her ayn' accusin' huurr of playin' maand games with me! Ay'd apologize faw my behavior around huurr ayn' faw makin' her nervous ayn' ever'thin'! Ay'd apologize ovuurr ayn' ovuurr again ayn' promise nevuurr ta do that ta huurr ever again! Ay just want huurr back competin' with us, Poppy; it's huurr first pageant, ayn' she shouldn't have ta end her first run so soon"!
Poppy comforted the crying Country ambassador before saying, "Well, maybe there is a chance for you to apologize to her." Holly lifted her head up, sniffling while saying, "There is? How?! How, Poppy?! Tell me"! Poppy then gave a little whistle, prompting Holly to look up and see that by the door of her dressing room, Stereo stepped forward and entered. Holly gasped in shock and said, "Stereo, y'all were there the whole taame"? Stereo nodded, saying, "Yeah, I was. Poppy saw me freaking out after I ran off the stage and well, she said we should go talk to you, so, she went in first and...I overheard everything you said." Holly twiddled with her thumbs, saying, "Ya...did," as Stereo nodded, scratching the back of her neck while saying, "Yeah, to be fair, the door was open and you were talking a bit loud, so, overhearing was kind of a "Don't want to, but the noise is there and visible, so it's happening either way," thing, but aside from that, yeah I heard everything." Holly then approached Stereo and said, "Stereo, ay am really, really, really sorry faw the way ay've been actin' round ya. Ay didn't mean ta, ay was takin' this pageant too seriously ayn' it blinded my maand so much, that ay didn't see ay was hurtin' ya. That isn't me, ayn' ay don't evuurr want something laake that ta happen again." Stereo then said, "It's ok, Holly, I know how much you wanted to win. I mean, you always say that you've been wanting to win another Cutie Pageant," before Holly said, "Yeah, but that doesn't mean ay should've let myself get so wrapped up inta it. See...befawe comin' ta Trollstopia, ayn' meetin' y'all, it was...so tricky ta faand someone fun ayn' friendly ta talk ta during these here pageants. Ever'one's so obsessed with winnin' it made it hard ta enjoy myself as easily as you do, ay mean, you always faand ayy way ta make somethin' ayy lot ov fun, ayn' y'all looked laake ya had a blast showing off your outfit." Stereo chuckled and said, "It was even more fun coming up with it; to me, I just wanted to show off my creative side, not caring if anyone liked my outfit or not. That's why I decided to try the pageant in the first place: it's a brand new experience, and I thought it'd be cool to do something out of my comfort zone and have fun with it. It might've been a stupid thought, but-," before Holly interrupted her and said, "Naw, sugar, you're nawht stupid at all. Ay was the one in the wrong, ayn' ay shouldn't have let the desire ta win mess with my head and my heart. Ay should've been supportin' ya ayn' nawht fear y'all were trying ta beat me, because it ain't about winnin' it's about having fun, ayn' doin' something fun with friends."
Stereo smiled and said, "What made you realize that, Holly," with Holly answering, "You. I've seen yy lot ov gerls in the pageant, but nevuurr one who cared less about winnin' ayn' mawe about having fun. Ayn' whel...if y'all ken be able ta do it, even if ya don't win, ay'd love ta try too. From now on, ay ain't gonna fuss about these pageants so much aw take them so seriously. Ay just want ta do 'em faw fun, and whethuurr ay win or lose, it doesn't mattuurr. Can you ever forgive me Stereo"? Stereo nodded, saying, "Of course, Holly! I knew the true you was still there inside. Now, how about a hug? Unless you don't want the dress to be messed up still." Holly shook her head and said while opening her arms wide, "Bring it in, sugar," and the two shared a hug together, with Poppy saying, "Awww," while watching. Once they separated, Holly then said, "So, Stereo, do ya still want to finish doin' this here pageant? It is your debut, ayn' ay want ta see what y'all are gonna do faw the talent porshun." Stereo thought about it before asking with a smile, "Well, I suppose if you really want to see, ok, sure. I can't deny an excited a fan a chance to see what I got planned, but only if you get to show off what you'll be doing too to the best of your ability." Holly giggled and said, "Ya got it, gerl," as they walked out of the dressing room together. In Buckaroo's dressing room, Buckaroo was grabbing some ropes for her trick when she saw Aggie, Satin, and Chenille enter the room, with Aggie saying, "Hey, "Tom"! how are you feeling about the last event"? Satin then said, "We came to wish you good luck," while Chenille added, "And make sure you were doing ok in your suit." Buckaroo smiled and whispered in her normal voice, "Ay'm doin' great, y'all, feelin' faane ayn' ready! Ay've been' havin' so much fun! this experience has truly been ayy dream come true"! Satin then said, "And you've been doing so great so far"! Chenille smiled and said, "You might even win the pageant," as Buckaroo chuckled softly before whispering in her normal voice, "Ay don't care if ay win the pageant. Ay mean, it'd be naace, but truly, just gettin' ta do this, wearin' ayy suit, is all the victory ay could evuurr ask faw. Ayn' ay got ya three ta thank faw helpin' me make my dream come true," before all four of them gathered into a group hug, with Aggie saying, "Then, you go out there and you wow the crowd, "Tom"! Aggie, Satin, and Chenille soon left to return to their seats in the audience as Buckaroo placed her fancy hat on, ready for the last event.
Soon, the talent portion got underway as a lot of the contestants did a bunch of fun acts that got the crowd up on their feet. Synth juggled glowsticks and balanced them on the tips on his fins while standing on his hair, Gia Grooves made a glitter cloud mural in the air, and R and B constructed a light show machine and activated it, displaying a light show for all to enjoy. When it was Buckaroo's turn, Delta declared, "Faw our next contestant, Tom Rigby will be doing ayy lasso display." Buckaroo pulled out her two lassos, grabbing the third one and holding it in her mouth before she started to spin the two lassos in her hand, doing some fascinating aerial tricks that wowed the judges and crowd. Buckaroo then began to spin the lasso in her mouth perfectly, hopping in and out of it while doing tricks with the lassos in her hand, which got the crowd cheering. She stood on her two front legs and skipped rope a bit before doing the same with her two back legs, and ended by making a heart shape with the two lassos in her hand, and using the one in her mouth to make a sun shape, as the crowd cheered and applauded her. Buckaroo bowed before walking backstage, cheering quietly to herself that she was able to succeed at her trick before the next contestant went. Later on, after a bunch of other contestants went, including Stereo, who did a glittery rave dance and made her body shine like a disco ball, which prompted everyone to cheer while dancing to Disco music and Holly, who sang a simple Country ballad while playing her guitar, it was time to award the winner of the Cutie Pageant. Delta came onto the stage, holding a golden crown on a tiny pillow, saying, "Whel, folks, we have seen so many contestants put on quite the show faw us today, ayn' y'all really did ayy great job showin' off the true meaning of "cute" faw the Cutie Pageant. But, there ken only be one winnuurr, ayn' in the taaghtest vote in Cutie Pageant histawry, we have selected a winnuurr." Gust Tumbleweed stepped forward, holding a white envelope in his hand, saying, "Ayn' the winnurr ov the Trollstopia Cutie Pageant is..." and opened the lettuurr to reveal the name of the winner, while all of the contestants on stage waited anxiously to hear.
Gust pulled out a sheet of paper and looked at it before he smiled and said, "Tom Rigby"! Buckaroo gasped and realized that Gust had said her, name, rather, her "male" name, as the audience all clapped and cheered for Buckaroo, including the other contestants who smiled and congratulated Buckaroo. Buckaroo was so overcome with emotion and shock, surprised that she won, as she stepped forward and Delta gave her the crown, saying while she placed the crown on her hat, "Congratulations, Tom. Y'all earned it." Buckaroo smiled as she thanked Delta in her disguised voice, before waving at the audience, who cheered for her again. buckaroo felt so happy that her dream came true: she got to compete in a Cutie Pageant while wearing a suit! now, the only thing to do was to talk to Delta about getting the dress code rule changed, and she hoped that Delta would be able to listen to her. After the Cutie Pageant ended, Aggie, Satin, and Chenille ran to meet up with Buckaroo, saying, "Congratulations"! Aggie hugged Buckaroo while saying, "Y'all were so great up there, partnuurr! How does it feel to have won"? Buckaroo looked around to see if anyone was nearby, spotting no one before she said in her normal voice, "Ay'm so surprised! Ay didn't even think ay'd win, but as ay said earliuurr, ay don't maand that ay won, 'cause ta me, the real victory is that ay got ta participate in a Cutie Pageant in a suit, ayn' that's worth mawe than any crown aw trophy. Thanks y'all again faw all ya did ta help me." Satin replied, "It was nothing, Buckaroo," as Chenille added, "Just helping out a fellow friend"! Suddenly, Buckaroo heard someone coming and placed her fancy hat back on, clearing her throat to talk in her disguised male voice, as she turned around and saw Delta, Holly, and Gust coming towards her, with Delta saying, "Tom, thank goodness we found ya; congrats again on your win," with Gust adding, "Yeah, nevuurr once have we seen ayy contestant with as much talent and charisma as yours." Holly then added, "Y'all were amazing on that stage, ayn' ay want ta personally say congratulashuns ta ya, ayn' hope that we can compete togethuurr again soon."
Buckaroo said in her disguised voice, "Gee, thanks y'all, it was ayy real pleasure ta compete," before she looked at Aggie, who smiled and nodded,d ushering the detective to continue speaking. Buckaroo then took a deep breath and said while fiddling with her thumbs, "Actually, y'all, since y'all are here, ay got somethin' ay need ta confess ta ya. My real name ain't Tom Rigby; ay just said that name ta haade my real name from ya," while blushing in embarrassment. This lead Delta, Gust, and holly to become confused, with Gust asking, "But why did ya want ta haade your real name," before Buckaroo answered, ""Cause if ay used my real name...y'all would know who ay was raheet away." Delta raised an eyebrow, asking, "What do ya mean "We would know who ya are," while Holly added, "Yeah, we don't know ya...do we"? Buckaroo then cleared her throat and spoke normally again, saying, "Ya would if I talk like this ayn' nawht with that phony voice ay had," and this prompted all three Country Trolls to gasp, with Delta saying, "Oh my stars," while Gust proclaimed, "Wait, y'all are...," as Buckaroo took off the crown, hat and the wig, letting her hair down before putting her regular hat back on her head, giving the crown, hat and wig to Aggie, Satin, and Chenille, as she faced the three Country Trolls and said, "Yeah, it's me; my real name is Buckaroo Ringer." Holly was probably the most shocked about this because not once did she ever think her best friend would have any interest in competing in Cutie Pageants, much less compete in one under the alias of a guy! In shock, Holly proclaimed, "Buckaroo?! that was...y'all," as Buckaroo nodded, saying, "Yeah, it was me. Aggie, Satin, and Chenille helped me disguise myself as a guy so I could compete in the Cutie pageant as a guy." Delta, also very shocked, asked, "But...why, Buckaroo? If y'all wanted ta compete, you could've just entered as yourself," which prompted the detective to shuffle her hoof while saying, "Ay did, originally. See, ay always had a secret dream to compete in these here pageants just ta see what it'd be laake, but sadly, ay could nevuurr bring myself ta compete." When Gust asked, "How come," Buckaroo sighed and said, "Because of the dress code rule. the rule that guys gotta wear suits and gerls gotta wear dresses, but that rule always made me feel uncomfortable 'cause, y'all know ay don't laake wearing dresses, ayn' especially why ay don't. Ay wanted ta speak up ayn' tell y'all about it, but y'all seemed ta be happy with how things were, ayn' ay was honestly scared ta say how ay felt about it, ayn' it made me keep my mouth shut about it. so, ay couldn't take part if it meant wearin' ayy dress ayn' nawht ayy suit, ayn' so, my dream was buried with any chances ov it comin' true.
But then, Aggie, Satin, and Chenille suggested that maybe there was ayy way ay could compete in ayy suit if ay was ayy guy. So, with ayy lil' fashion help, ay became "Tom" ayn' competed under the alias ov ayy boy so that way, ay could complete my dream ov competin' in ayy suit. Ay didn't even care if ay would win aw nawht: just gettin' ta be out there, on that stage with ever'one, wearin' ayy suit, ayn' just gettin' ta have that experience, that was my real win. Ay'm sorry about keepin' my identity secret from y'all. Ay know it was risky, but...ay just wanted to have a chance ta try somethin' new out whaale still being myself without havin' ta dress ayy certain way." Buckaroo looked down sadly, worried she was gonna get some harsh words, but instead, she heard sniffling and saw that all three Country Trolls, especially Delta, seemed emotionally touched, as Delta asked, "Buckaroo...is this true? Y'all really felt this way"? Buckaroo nodded as she felt Holly hug her while saying, "Buckaroo, ay'm so sorry y'all felt laake that," as Gust added, "We know how strongly y'all feel about what y'all laake ta wear, especially when it comes to suits." Buckaroo then said, "Don't blame yourselves, guys; ay probably should've spoken up earliuurr, but ay was just worried y'all wouldn't understand how ay felt." Delta approached Buckaroo while saying, "We do, sugar, we all do. Ayn' seeing ya take such a brave step ta demonstrate that gerls have just as much raheet ta compete in a pageant while wearin' ayy suit as anyone else, that takes ayy lot ov courage, ayn' y'all had the guts ta do it. Ay'm real proud ov y'all, ya know"? Buckaroo looked up, smiling while asking, "Really," as Delta nodded before stating, "In fact, as mayor of Lonesome Flats, ay hereby am statin' ayy new law! From now on, bein' put raheet inta effect immediately, the dress code rule faw future Cutie Pageants ov all kaand is hereby abolished"! Holly, Gust, Aggie, Satin, and Chenille cheered for Delta as Buckaroo with happy tears in her eyes, asked, "Y'all are really doin' this"? Delta nodded and said, "yep! The same way ayy guy ken wear a suit, aw a dress if they want ta, ayy gerl shall be able ta do the same." Buckaroo smiled so brightly, hugging Delta happily, as everyone said, "Awwwwww," from the adorable hug. Aggie then said, "Well, all this pageant craziness is made me hungry." Holly then declared, "Aace cream on me, y'all! Besaades, we still got ta celebrate Buckaroo's first pageant victory," as Chenille gave Holly the crown, and she placed it on Buckaroo's head, while everyone laughed together as they walked to the ice cream shop.
