C.E.W: Thanks for the ideas, might not do them but I do like them.
Guest02957: I'm not saying anything except Jayden will follow Revan's ideology and gain Revan's purple lightsaber. I'm sure Lightsabers can still work after over 5,000 years.
Lelouch-Strife: I'll try and do such moments. Especially Vader's rage scene in Rogue One.
On the planet of Serenno, Jayden was crouched to one knee, bowing before his Master. "What is thy bidding, my Master?"
"Your training is nearly complete, my Apprentice." Dooku said as he turned and walked around to his desk, taking a seat as Jayden stood across from him. Dooku looked up at him with a serious look. "You are going to face your first true test."
Jayden tilted his head. "Am I to face a Jedi?"
Dooku nodded. "Yes. Jedi Master Ima-Gun Di. He and his forces are attacking ours on the planet of Ryloth. Destroy him and bring me his Lightsaber as proof of his death."
"I shall leave at once, my Master." Jayden said, bowing before he turned to leave when Dooku spoke up again, now facing the window as he stood looking out at it.
"Remember your training, Jayden." Dooku's tone was stern. "I did not spend all this time teaching you just for you to fail and die on your first test. Prove yourself worthy of becoming a Dark Lord of the Sith like your ancestor, Revan."
"Yes, Master." Jayden said and continued on, walking out the room as Dooku kept his gaze to the window.
Arriving at Ryloth in the Rogue Shadow, Jayden flew down to the planet and lowered his ship at the main headquarters of the Separatists. Once his ship had landed, Jayden lowered the ramp and walked down. He paused as he looked around with cold eyes before he walked on towards the main Separatist command centre.
"Woah, look at this guy." A battle droid said to another as it gestured to Jayden who walked past, uncaring of whatever the droids had to say about his appearance. Jayden had one place to go to here and he found it along with the commander of this base.
Tambor was bent over a holo-table, examining the layout of a terrain map along with his tactical droid, TA-175. Tambor was known for devising new plans to help the Separatists gain a technological advantage in battle, his brilliance knew few limits. Or so the soldier had been told. Informed of his new arrival, the tall Skakoan stood up and looked to the Sith Apprentice, who walked in without a word.
"You are the one Count Dooku sent?" Tambor asked, getting a silent nod from the boy. "He has informed me of your mission here but nothing else."
"My reason for being here if not your business." Jayden said in a cold tone as he stared into the black eyes of Tambor. "All i'm here for is Jedi Master Ima-Gun Di, nothing more."
Tambor nodded, seeing it was wise to not push his luck, even with such a young boy. If Dooku sent him here for a Jedi Master, then it was something serious and Tambor liked to continue living. "My scouts report that the Jedi fights with Cham Syndulla's resistance. Republic and Twi'lek Resistance forces have been cornered here, in this valley." Tambor stated, pointing to a red dot on the terrain map. "My droids have held them at bay, but we need one final push to end this. Then the entire planet will be completely under our control."
"Then that is where I will go." Jayden said and without another word he turned and left.
Jayden hitched a ride on one of the tanks heading to the battlefield. As they drove, Jayden took in his surroundings, slowly memorizing common details and consistent patterns in the terrain of the planet as he had never been to the Twi'lek homeworld. The planet of Ryloth did not spin on its axis like most other worlds, but remained static in orbiting its star, leaving one side of the world always facing the sun and the other side in perpetual darkness. A thin band in the middle between the two extremes was the only habitable area on the entire world, becoming the home for all species who lived on the planet. The landscape was almost as erratic as the planet's two extremes; rocks and flat, dusty plateaus would give way to lush plains of grass.
Jayden marveled a little at the terrain.
The squad of tanks arrived in the valley behind a large company of battle droids. Reinforcements for the main column, hopefully enough firepower to drive the Republic forces to retreat. Jayden dismounted and sought out the droid commander; a simple B1 unit with identifying yellow markings.
"Where is the Jedi?" Jayden asked impatiently as he folded his arms across his chest.
The droid pointed ahead. "Where the toughest fighting is. The Twi'leks have fled so it's just the Republic forces now, so you may find your Jedi target there." Jayden nodded and without another word, he Force leaped onto a tank then onto the rocks and ran. "Boy does he move fast." The droid commander commented, watching him leave. "Sometimes I wish we could move like that." He said to a fellow battle droid.
"Roger roger." Came the reply.
Jayden moved towards where the shooting was. If the Twi'leks had indeed retreated and left the Republic forces to fight, then this might be easier than he thought. of course it won't be as easy when he comes across the Jedi he was hunting. Dooku had told him that several of the Jedi masters were skilled, which is why Dooku taught him his style and a mix of others in order for him to try and best the Jedi he fights.
As Jayden arrived at the battle, he narrowed his eyes as he thought about what to do before he decided that killing Clones will keep his attention until he can find Jedi Master Ima-Gun Di.
Leaping over a boulder, Jayden jumped into the fray, activating his Lightsaber. Due to the cracked kyber crystal he was using, he had to make his Lightsaber a crossguard in order to divert the extra heat generated by the crystal.
A Clone just a few feet away became Jayden's first victim as he lunged forward and drove his Lightsaber through the thin visor of the helmet. The Clone fell dead instantly after Jayden ripped the Lightsaber from the Clone's head. Jayden turned and stabbed another Clone in the stomach, Jayden then pushed forward as he continued to pass through, killing Clone after Clone.
"Shoot him!" A Clone shouted as he repeatedly fired his rifle at Jayden who was easily deflecting the shots with his Lightsaber.
"We are!" Another Clone shouted back as he too was firing at the Sith Apprentice. The two Clones were sliced when Jayden Force choked them and crushed their throats while he slashed through a group of Clones before he unclenched his free fist, dropping the two choked Clones. Jayden's assault against the Clones continued until he finally found the one he had been sent to kill.
Jedi Master Ima-Gun Di.
Jayden advanced past the bodies of Clones and battle droids alike, his eyes on the blue blade of his Jedi opponent. He did not know much about this Ima-Gun Di, his history or fighting style. It was something he'll have to watch out for and think about after the battle. If he's to kill more Jedi, he'll have to learn of the Jedi he's hunting, history and fighting style.
Smirking a bit, Jayden ran before he leaped and landed right before the Jedi Master who turned upon hearing his landing.
"And who might you be?" The Jedi asked, ignoring the clamor of battle for a moment. "I can't say we've met." Jayden said nothing as he twirled his Lightsaber around. Ima stared at him, sizing up his opponent. "A boy? Dooku sends a boy into battle? I see he has corrupted another in his foolish ways. I will fight you, boy, but I should warn you, you are foolish to challenge me." Master Di cautioned as he struck first with a swipe of his blade.
Jayden spun around, sidestepping the attack. Seeing his opponent to be more than an amateur, Ima readied himself as the Sith Apprentice rushed in. Swiping at the Jedi with his Lightsaber, Jayden quickly began to learn Ima's form as he attacked. The Jedi leveled his blade as Jayden's crashed into it, causing a Saber lock. Jayden pushed back, surprising Di at the strength behind this young boy. The Jedi Master pushed back before he Force pushed Jayden away and threw his Saber but Jayden was able to stop it with the Force and sent it back at the Jedi who was able to catch it.
Jayden ran at the Jedi, leaping over and blocking a strike before he landed on his feet and swung his Lightsaber, striking the Jedi right in the eyes, causing him to scream in pain as he was blinded now. Using the Force to direct him, Di was able to block one strike before Jayden punched him across the face then stabbed his Lightsaber through his heart.
Jayden watched the light and life die in the Jedi before he ripped his Lightsaber out and deactivated it. Spotting the dead Jedi's Lightsaber, Jayden used the Force to bring it to him.
"General!" He heard a cry to his left. Whipping around and ready to attack, the Sith Apprentice faced off against a Clone bearing a shoulder pauldron and sporting brown markings.
It was Captain Keeli.
"I don't know who you think you are, seppie, but you just made a big mistake!" The Clone thundered as he surged forward, twin DC-17's aimed at the Sith. Jayden easily deflected the blaster shots before he used to Force to pull the Clone right over to him and swung his Lightsaber, decapitating the Clone Captain. Jayden watched the head roll before he dropped the body and walked away with Di's Lightsaber in hand.
His Master will be pleased.
At Dooku's palace on Serenno, Dooku was standing in his quarters and looking out a window when he heard the door opening. "Master Di is dead?" Dooku asked, not turning to his Apprentice who kneeled without his mask on.
"Yes, Master." Jayden said as he presented the Jedi's Lightsaber. Dooku turned and walked over, using the Force to call the Lightsaber to his hand. Dooku looked it over, remembering his days as a Jedi before banishing those thoughts away and he looked at his Apprentice.
"You have done well, my young Apprentice." Dooku said with a hint of pride at his Apprentice's accomplishment. "Few have ever been able to kill a Jedi master at your age. But do not let it go to your head, many have fallen because of ego and pride. Wear the Sith name with honor and pride of the Sith order, but do not let it get to you."
"Yes, Master..."
And that's it for this chapter. Hope you enjoyed it. Now, I have several question, well two actually, that determine the future of this story.
1. When should Jayden be named a Darth? i know he needs to earn the title, but in this day and age, the title just seems to be given like when Sidious named Anakin Darth vader.
2. Should Jayden wield Revan's purple Lightsaber when he's named Darth? Pretty sure Lightsabers can work after like 4,000 years, right?
