Guest: No. that would just be too soon and ruin the way i'm trying to go with the relationship.

derekrichey23: Thanks.

C.E.W: Jayden will make sure no one discovers the Force bond at all.

Guest: An interesting idea.

Disclaimer: I do not own Star Wars: The Clone Wars, only the OC.

Sitting alone in one of the Jedi Temple's common rooms, Ahsoka was deep in thought. The young Togruta pondered many things, her mind a mild flurry of activity. Ever since Jayden had become a major player in the war and his evident crush on her made known, Ahsoka had been given a lot to think about. To some, there wasn't. As a Jedi, she'd sworn an oath to obey the Code and made vows to the Order that she needed to follow to the letter. To them, she shouldn't be giving these things a second thought, rebuffing Jayden's advances without hesitation.

But she wasn't. To Ahsoka, they were a sign that there was a man chained by darkness and therefore an angle worthy of pursuing..

But how was she to know they were for real? Jayden's attitude was often so conflicting that it would confuse her to no end. She had no idea as to how to approach him or how to interpret his feelings. The problem was she had no other help in this endeavour. It was up to her and her alone to figure out Darth Khan, before the Republic ordered him to be destroyed.

"How's it going, Ahsoka?" The rather-cheery voice of her master wondered. Ahsoka looked up to see Anakin enter the room, looking like his usual proud and upright self.

"Just doing some thinking Master." She replied.

"What about?" Anakin asked as he took a seat opposite her.

"Well..." Ahsoka trailed off, pondering how to best approach this with him. "Do you think Darth Khan can be turned from the Dark Side to Light?" Ever since Takodana, no one had seen or heard about Darth khan, except Ahsoka who knew he was recovering and healing from what happened on Takodana.

"What brought this on?" Anakin asked with a frown.

Ahsoka shrugged, trying to act like the curious and innocent Padawan she was when she was actually looking for someone else's opinion. "Well, he's had numerous chances to kill me in the past, and you, yet he seems to like having me around. I'm just thinking that maybe there's some good within him that Dooku hasn't completely destroyed."

Anakin sighed. "I don't know, Ahsoka. After all I've seen him do? I doubt there's Light within him, especially if he's really connected to Darth Revan himself. Are you asking this because of his apparant desire for you? His crush?"

"I-"

"Ahsoka, you shouldn't try to see if anything is there." Anakin said sternly but softly. "Khan is a Sith, who's been raised in the Dark Side and trained in it's ways since he was young. He's nothing but evil, I mean, he even killed those cadet friends of yours from Mandalore. I don't think there's anything to be saved, and if there was, don't you think he would've wanted to be free from it as well?"

Ahsoka looked down as she thought over her Master's words.

"And also..." Ahsoka looked at Anakin. "I doubt Khan even knows what love is. If you ask me, I think he's just wanting to... well... bed you and be done with it, no offence."

"W-What do you mean?" Ahsoka asked with a frown.

"Ahsoka, I'm only saying this because I care about you and want you safe, especially from him if you encounter him again." Anakin said as he sat with his Apprentice. "Khan is a Sith, a being of evil and hatred who wants to kill all Jedi. The only reason he's taken an interest in you is most likely because you are around the same age and it's just lust on his end, then once he's managed to lower your guard he'd force himself on you then discard you."

"He... he'd do that?" Ahsoka asked hesitantly. She shouldn't believe Jayden would ever do that, but who's to say his whole soft and concerning behaviour with her wasn't just an act to do as Anakin is saying?

"The Sith only care and think about themselves and their own desires, nothing else." Anakin said. "If Khan really cared about you, and I mean really did so, he'd show it, right? I think he just wants to get bragging rights after managing to lower your guard enough to get into bed with him. If he cared about you at all... well, look at me! I care about you. So what do I do? I teach you life lessons, I look out for you, I'm there for you, I've got your back." He listed off. "That's how you know I care about you. Him? What does he do? Steal a kiss, compliment you... he's trying to worm his way into your head." He countered, doing his best to highlight the differences between him and Khan. "He's trying to seduce you." Anakin point blank told her.

"S-Seduce me?!" Ahsoka exclaimed, a little louder than she intended. Anakin nodded, but then rested his non-mechanical arm on her shoulder.

"You're young, you're still learning. It's okay that you missed this, but it's a good thing the rest of us didn't." He reassured her. Her innate Jedi teachings internally reprimanded Ahsoka for being so narrow in terms of her outlook. Maybe she had missed the big picture after all.

"He's... that obvious, huh?" She said with a rather sheepish look.

"I get the feeling you've been so enamoured with trying to help him that you missed some of the more obvious signals. Besides, he could be taking his desires and lust for you out with other women because you won't give him what he wnats." Anakin mused, his words practically ripped from her conscience. Ahsoka's gaze fell, now realizing she'd messed up. "Don't feel bad Ahsoka. Just remember to reel yourself back sometimes. Remember, passion-"

"Goes against the Jedi Code and is a path to the Dark Side." She finished, looking up with a smile. She'd heard Master Yoda and others use those exact words so many times before. "I know, Master." Anakin smiled back.

"I know you do." He said reassuringly, offering her a pat on the shoulder before he stood and moved on. Ahsoka maintained her smile as he did, but it faded as soon as Anakin left, tumultuous thoughts replacing the faux contentment she was putting out. She hadn't told Anakin anything about her 'other' interactions with Jayden, about how he checked in with her and how he was willing to be there for her as much as possible. But Anakin's words halted everything she had ever thought about him. Everything he'd done, everything that seemed considerate and nice... what if it was all a facade? What if Jayden was doing all of it just as a means to get to her? What if he was furious every time they ended their talks at not being able to get what he wants, and he finds some other girl his age to fulfil his desires when she can't do it?

At first, she didn't want to believe Anakin. But the more Ahsoka thought about what he said, the more she realized he was right.

But was he really...?

She needed to figure this out for herself. She needed a straight answer... and that could only come from Jayden. Luckily, she knew just how to reach him.

"Come on, Jayden... pick up." Ahsoka muttered as she held the communicator Jayden gave her in her hand, trying to contact him and hear it from himself, but she had been trying for the past ten minutes and received no answer. "There has to be a good reason..." She muttered, trying to think through all the logical reasons why Wraith wouldn't answer. Maybe he was busy, maybe he couldn't hear the commlink.

'Or maybe he's too 'busy' with some Twi'lek more attractive than me.' The bitter thought was there before she could even comprehend it, Anakin's words hadn't stopped plaguing her mind. Maybe Jayden really was doing that right now, having fully recovered without telling her and was busy fulfilling his desires. before he'd continue his pursuit on her.

Slowly, Ahsoka was starting to believe Anakin's words...

Uh oh... that's all I can say really.
