Author's Note: Hello, everyone and welcome back to "Sticks and Stones!" =D Wow, the week went by pretty fast, and I'm reallllly glad it's alost Friday...I'm looking forward to sleeping in on the weekend. XD

Anyway, here's the next drabble for "Sticks and Stones." It's really random, but that's kind of the point of this drabble. I mean, it is called "Winging It" after all. X)

I hope you enjoy it! =D

Summary: Hiccup and the Dragon Riders find themselves stuck in a cave with no way out. The twins suggest that instead of coming up with a proper plan to get out, that they should just "wing it". (ROB.)

Winging It

They were stuck in a dark cave.

Without their dragons.

Alone.

Snotlout ran up to the cave entrance, which was blocked off by boulders larger than Thor's hammer. The Jorgenson banged his fists against the entrance, comically hyperventilating when he realized that he and the other Dragon Riders were trapped.

"We're stuck in here?!" he exclaimed. He pivoted around, his eyes flashing wildly. "How are we gonna get out of here? I don't do well with tight enclosed spaces!"

"Wow, Snotlout's claustrophobic?" remarked Tuffnut. He crossed his arms and smirked. "Now that's something you don't see every day."

Ruffnut crossed her arms as well... " At least he doesn't have anemophobia. Then we'd have a serious problem."

Astrid shook her head. "Relax, Snotlout. We'll find a way out of here."

Fishlegs nodded. "The possibility of us being stuck here forever is pretty low."

"I don't need your stupid statistics, Fishlegs," said Snotlout. He turned back toward the blocked off cave entrance. "What I need is to get out of here before I die from hyperventilation." Snotlout looked around. "Is it just me, or are the walls closing in?"

Hiccup sighed. The Dragon Riders had set out to patrol the perimeter of Berk, and the twins suddenly exclaimed that they spotted Berserker soldiers below. After a whole hour of wandering through the woods, the two Thorstons claimed that they saw movement inside of a nearby cave, and the Riders went in to investigate. Then, out of nowhere, Tuffnut pulled out an eel from his vest, wondering if the Berserkers thought that eels were a delicacy. The dragons had completely panicked, and Meatlug had accidentally bashed her tail into the top of the cave while flying off, causing a rockslide that trapped the Dragon Riders inside.

"This is all your fault!" Snotlout snapped as he pointed at the twins. "What the Thor were you even doing with an eel in your vest, Tuffnut?"

"Doesn't everyone carry eels in their vests?" said Tuffnut.

"No one does," said Hiccup with a deadpan look.

"And how do you know?" asked Ruffnut. "If someone carries an eel in their vest, you can't see it. So do you really know for sure?"

Hiccup opened his mouth, then he closed it and frowned. When it came to the twins and logic, it was best not to argue with their understanding. Right now, the Dragon Riders needed to focus on finding a way out of the cave.

"Let's find a way out," said Hiccup. He turned around and faced the back of the cave, which had three separate tunnels. One of them had to lead outside. "We'll break off in three groups of two and explore each of these tunnels. Once one of us finds the exit, holler."

"And why should we go down there?" asked Snotlout. "We can just blast away the boulders."

"How are we going to do that?" asked Astrid. "Our dragons aren't anywhere near here."

"I think you mean your dragons," said Snotlout. Astrid placed her hands on her hips and frowned. "My Hookfang doesn't run away from little eels."

"Ah, Snotlout. Half the dragons we know have a strong disliking toward eels," stated Fishlegs.

"Shut up, Fishface!" Snotlout said with a glare toward the Ingerman, who immediately quieted. "Hookfang is right outside, and I'm going to prove it."

The Dragon Riders watched as Snotlout marched up to the sealed cave entrance. He knocked his fist against the rock and shouted, "Hookfang! Blast this entrance open right now!"

Nothing happened, and the Dragon Riders were expecting that.

"Hookfang…open this door or you get any fish for a whole month!" yelled Snotlout. Still, nothing happened. There wasn't a sound from the Monstrous Nightmare, cluing that he had indeed flown off with the other dragons.

Snotlout turned around and faced the Dragon Riders, trying his best to conceal his embarrassment. He scoffed and crossed his arms.

"Hookfang is probably out getting some water. Unlike your dragons, who flew away immediately."

Astrid rolled her eyes. "Yeah. Sure, Snotlout."

"Anyway, as I was saying before," said Hiccup. "We'll go down these tunnels and—"

"I have a better idea," Tuffnut interrupted. He turned to Hiccup. "Why don't you call Toothless?"

"Call Toothless?" repeated Hiccup.

"Yeah," said Ruffnut. "Toothless can't fly on his own, so he's probably nearby."

"Guys, like I said before, when dragons see an eel, they flee," said Fishlegs exasperatedly. "The dragons are gone."

Before the twins could argue with him, Astrid stepped in.

"Come on, you guys," she said. "The dragons are gone, so let's just hear Hiccup's logically sound plan instead of your impossible ones."

"Impossible? Impossible?!" exclaimed Tuffnut. He glared at Astrid. "Hiccup's plans are just as impossible, but they always work!"

"It's like there's some kind of team of people behind all of Hiccup's plans that decide whether they work or not," said Ruffnut.

Hiccup shook his head. "Can we please just pick a tunnel to go down and see if we can find the exit?"

"Or," said Ruffnut. "We could just wing it."

"Wing it?" repeated Fishlegs.

"Wing it," confirmed Tuffnut. "We can each go along with our own plan, and whoever finds the exit will say so."

"That's completely stupid," said Astrid. She walked up to Hiccup's side. "Hiccup and I will find the exit the right way."

"I'm with them," said Fishlegs. He walked up to Hiccup and Astrid. "You guys can 'wing it' or whatever."

Tuffnut and Ruffnut immediately turned to each other and began concocting random ideas while Snotlout continued to call for Hookfang. Hiccup sighed.

"How long until they realize what they're doing or planning on doing isn't going to work?" asked Hiccup.

"If they keep on 'winging it'," said Astrid. She watched as the twins started banging their heads into the wall, trying to drill a way out of the cave. Astrid rolled her eyes.

"Probably a thousand years," she finished.

Author's Note: Claustrophobia is the fear of enclosed/tight spaces and anemophobia is the fear of air/wind. But in this drabble, it's referring to air. =)

Anyway, I hope you guys enjoyed this kind of random little drabble, and I'll see you in the next one-shot! =D

Until the next chapter!
