A/N aaaannnnnnd we're back! Not much to say, so enjoy! (Please)
"...Pardon?" I say, unable to completely process what the man in front of me had just said.
"I said, 'Benjamin Hatsumei,' would you like to become a spy?'"
"Um...First of all, YES PLEASE! Second of all, why me?"
"You have level sixteen Math."
"What's that?"
"What is 204,829,470 divided by 38,656,734?"
"5.29867499929. Easy. Who do you take me for, a Kindergartner?"
"I take you for someone who can do a math problem to the quintuplet digits while writing an essay. That is better than Einstein's level of Math. I think. Probably. Maybe. Likely-"
"Okay, okay, I get it! I am really good at Math! So?"
"It would be useful to calculate shots for almost anything in seconds. You may even be good at hitting targets."
"I can't shoot a gun to save my life."
"...You're kidding, right?"
"We can teach you how to shoot quite a variety of guns. It's not much of a problem. I think."
"Must you add 'I think' after every sentence? Or are you that clueless?"
"First, I do not teach firing, nor do I know what level of Math Einstein has. Second, I AM NOT CLUELESS!!!"
"Okay, man, geez…"
But I did not know how I hid my excitement about the fact that an actual Spy was asking me to be a spy! Wait, was he an actual spy?
"Are you truly a spy?"
"Yes. One of the best! I am Alexander Hale. My family goes all the way back to Nathan Hale himself. I married and then divorced a powerful Woman named Kyoka Jiro."
"Jiro?"
"Yes. Do you know her?"
"No, but my mother does. She created all sorts of gadgets for her. All the way from Japan. My best friend, Mike, knows Jiro from his dad. They were in school together."
"Who's his dad?"
"Oh, I don't know, someone named Shoto Todoroki."
"Who's that?"
"Damn you're clueless."
"I'M NOT!!!"
"...He is the number one hero in the US. How do you not know? Just… How… I don't get it…"
"Oh… nice try with the bluff."
"It's not a bluff. Here, I will show you."
I take out my phone and Google 'Shoto Todoroki' and show him a picture. "I didn't know that someone could not know who the number one hero was in their own country. You're annoyingly clueless."
"I'M NOT CLUELESS!!!"
I was riding in Alexander's car to this school near DC. My cover up for randomly disappearing and going to another school was I have a Scholarship to this Science school for nerds and stuff. My parents easily bought it because they have seen me be quite a nerd on multiple occasions. My mom was so proud but I was so incredibly nervous about it, and I could barely smile and say, "Yeah, it's pretty cool, huh?"
Alexander pulls up to a run-down building that looks like it was made almost a century ago on a good day.
"We're here!" Alexander says in excitement and a bright smile on his face.
"Amazing!" I say the same way. This is my first step to becoming a spy. I take a step forward for my very first step of a spy-
BANG!!!
A/N Cut! Alright, I'm trying to make Ben a little less clueless. That's all I have to say!
-GUY :D
