It's as the title suggest. This will mainly involve the three prime universes.
Anime, Manga and Rebuild.
Any other universes might make it, if I see them fit too. but i highly doubt since I can only manage so much.
Morning, Tokyo-3
It was an average day, the scorching sun radiating through the streets of the city and the chirping cicadas ringing throughout the greenery.
Shinji, Asuka and Rei where walking down the street towards their school when suddenly, all three of them began experiencing a sharp pain within their heads.
"Tch." Asuka groaned, "I feel a headache coming on."
"Me too." Shinji said holding his forehead
"Me as well." Rei added
"Something must've happened during one of our checkups." Asuka said "This is their fault, they had better give us some painkillers or something. I can't stand to be like this for an entire day."
"Perhaps." Rei said, "But I find that highly unlikely, this must be brought on by something else."
"Like what wonder girl?"
"I, do not know."
As they continued walking the pain in their heads worsened, to the point that they had to stop outside once they were by the school gates.
"What the hell is going on." Asuka said frustrated. She clutched the temples of her head tightly. This pain is killing me. she though
The pain felt to be about a lethal migraine. And it had hit Shinji the most as he fell down on his knees and began to scream. This caused a ringing to play itself within all their ears, making things worse.
"SHINJI STOP!" Asuka yelled
But he couldn't hear her, his screams combined with the ringing muffled everything out. Asuka approached, tugging him by the shoulders trying to get him to stop. This onwards for a while until for reasons unknown, the pain suddenly he stopped, and the ringing was gone.
Now they all remain on the ground floor panting and gasping for air.
"What...the hell...was that?" Asuka said furious.
"I'm...sorry." Shinji said, "everything...it just kept getting worse."
"But, then... it stopped." Rei said standing up, "Why?"
"I...I don't know." Shinji answered exhausted.
"Great...just great." Asuka said also standing up, "This is embarrassing."
She walked past the school gates and began moving onwards.
"Asuka...Where are you going?" Shinji asked.
"Are you stupid? I'm going Nerv." She answered and Rei followed suit. "There's something wrong with us, Ikari, we need to see Doctor Akagi."
"Right." Shinji agreed rising up.
And as he followed Asuka and Rei, he felt something land upon the surface of his skin. Looking up he saw grey clouds, that seem to have come out of nowhere.
"Snow?" he said, "In summer?"
"What?" Asuka said, also feeling the weather suddenly turn colder.
"This is..." Rei paused.
Just what in the world is going on? Shinji wondered.
Tokyo-3 train station
Shinji exited the train, after experiencing a minor migraine.
What was that? He wondered. But he shrugged it off and continued onwards into Tokyo, waiting outside the station for a Taxi. I better pass by Myojo academy, maybe a get a feel for the place. and then there's my student accommodation, Hope it's not too small.
But things were looking bright, he couldn't wait for the exciting new adventure.
The Taxi arrived and he entered, although there was a familiar passenger onboard. It was the girl from the train.
"Oh hi..." Shinji said awkwardly.
"You again? Are you stalking me?" Asuka said
"No...What I-"
"Sorry to interrupt, but are you heading somewhere kid?" The taxi driver asked.
"Myojo academy." He answered closing the door.
"Same as the girl, got it."
"I knew it!" Asuka said
"What No, it's not what you think I-"
"Geez, guys always hit on me but I've never gotten any stalkers before."
"I'm not stalking you." He said frustrated.
"Sure." Asuka continued, vexing him. And so, Shinji decided it would be best to keep quiet and ignore her for the rest of the ride.
Looking outside the window, the city was indeed beautiful. Especially in moments like this when it was endowed In snow. This brought about a smile on his face.
"It's beautiful isn't it." Asuka said
"Yeah." Shinji answered, "I'm glad I came here."
"Me too." Asuka said. "I think I'm gonna do great here."
"Our future holds, infinite possibilities." He said
"Our?" she asked
"Yeah, because we're both students at the academy. Right?"
Asuka was unconvinced. "Man, you've got it bad." She said
"What! I!"
And then in an instant, the Taxi was sent flying upwards. Neither Shinji nor Asuka had the time to process what had just occurred. But by the time he woke up, the cab was lying upside down, and destructive sounds could be heard coming from a distance.
Asuka extended her hand and Shinji took hold of It, pulling him out the car. His blurred vision became clearer as she called out to him
"Shinji." She said, "Shinji get up, Shinji!"
"Asuka?" he said.
"There's no time, come on we need to move." She said, "Come on get up."
Shinji rose up, that migraine had returned, and Asuka felt hers coming about to.
"This is bad." She said.
"Yeah." Shinji agreed, "We need to find an emergency shelter...they should have them underground."
She took him by the hand. "All right...let's go." She said, "I'll lead."
"wait? How did you know my name?" he asked
"I just did...how did you know mine?"
"Oh..." Shinji said looking to the distance. "oh my god."
IN THE NEARBY VACINITY...
The three children stood in their fighting off the Angel Sachiel.
"Focus!" Misato said to all of them.
"We're trying Misato." Shinji said, "but these migraines."
"fight through it, you're-"
"Enough!" Asuka said cutting her off. She pulled out the progressive knife and charged straight for the angel. Sachiel managed to grab Unit-02 by the head, and Asuka was only an inch away from its core.
"Dammit!" she said kicking the core, pushing the angel back, after which Rei charged in and pierced her knife through the core.
The core cracked, shattered and then the Angel exploded, damaging Asuka and Rei's Evangelion Units.
But the battle was not over, as Sachiel appeared still from the explosion, core still intact.
"What! How is that even-" the migraines had reached their worst levels of pain once more.
"Shinji protect Asuka and Rei." Misato said
"No, I'll attack." He said
He pulled on the controls hard, and disconnected the umbilical cord. Unit-01 leapt backwards unto Sachiel, stepping atop the it's A.T field.
Unit-01 tore through with absolute terror, and began decimating the angel, Sachiel. Ripping and tearing until it broke the core, causing another even larger explosion within the vicinity.
Back at Central Dogma
"Shinji commencing a direct attack..." Ritsuko said
"Yeah...it's strange." Misato said. "it's also strange that this angel returned, can angels do that? Return?"
"I don't know." Ritsuko, "This is the first time this has ever happened. All we can do is deal with it as best we can."
"Yeup...just same old same old."
"We won." Fuyutsuki said, "and once again at the cost of the cities welfare."
"A necessary sacrifice in the greater battle." Gendo said.
"What do you mean." A voice that was familiar enough to send both Gendo and Fuyutsuki into shock said, entering the Lab.
The whole command center looked back surprised at what could break their commanders' posture.
"Yui." They both said, "How are you-"
"What's going on?" she asked, and besides her stood Kyoko Zeppelin Soryu, who wondered the same thing.
Yui looked up at the monitors and saw the fallen Evangelion Units.
"What?" she said confused.
"Who is she?" Misato asked Ritsuko, who looked just as shocked as soon after Yui and Kyoko, her own mother came into the room.
"Rits?" she said.
"Commander Katsuragi!" Mari's voice rang through the intercoms. "I don't know how, but something must've happened at the edge of the anti-verse."
"Mari?" Yui said again looking at her face through the monitor, "Why is she piloting an EVA? The EVA are finish?"
She looked towards Kyoko.
"I don't...I don't-"
"No! Wait...No."
"Is that Yui?" Mari said hearing a familiar voice.
"Wait? What? Yui? How?" Mari asked.
"Anti-universe..." Yui said. "I'd like to speak with the head of departments."
Village-3
Asuka Langley Shikinami woke up in her former entry plug laid out next to Kensuke's residence. Stepping outside she took a look at the house.
"Kenken?" she said
Entered the residence, she found it to be empty, her videogame console laid out the bed and former blanket Shinji used to lie on. Also a few things looked a bit smaller than they used to. She took a look into the homeroom mirror and noticed a few things changed.
She was older, she had aged up and the sigh of the revelation kind of made her tear up.
Finally." She said joyous, almost tearing up, "I'm free...I'm finally free from it all."
She quickly put on some clothes and readied herself to face the people of village-3. She wanted to participate, to help. There'd be no curse that could stop her, no infection that could hinder her. She could see the greenery, she could help KenKen, she could finally get to talk to Hikari again, and develop into her own true self.
But as she went downhill, she noticed something...
The village was also surprisingly empty, there was no one there. Not in the schools or farms or gardens. And what was most unnatural looking, which yet again took surprisingly long to notice was the mess of a concrete jungle that stood from afar. (covered in snow)
"Is that Tokyo-3?" she said "No. where am I?"
Shinji...he sent me, here didn't he? Did he mess up again?
"No, no, no, no, no, no, no... Dammit." she said.
"Asuka.", "Princess" Shinji and Mari's voices echoed, calling out to her.
"Four-eyed crony? Idiot- Shinji?"
"Asuka." Shinji said, "finally we found-"
"What did you do?" Asuka interrupted, pulling him by the collar.
"Nothing." He said struggling to breath, "everything was fine, I don't know what could've happened."
"He's not lying princess; I saw it myself." Mari said, "The Eva's and the Adams were gone, I saw it myself."
"Then what's going on?" she asked angry
"I don't know." Shinji said, "but if we're going to figure it out and fix it, we have to work together."
"Tsch." Asuka scoffed and let him go, dropping him unto the ground.
"Feeling better." Mari asked
"A little." She said dusting off her hands.
"A couple a minutes earlier..." Shinji sat, rising up, "We saw three Eva's fighting what seemed to be the first angel I defeated."
"And there were two of these angels as well." Mari added
"I thought we were done with this." Asuka said
"We are." Shinji, "At least I hope so..."
"Great...just great." She said.
"Come on." Shinji said, walking forwards.
"I hope you have a plan." Asuka said
"I do." He responded.
And thus Shinji, Mari and Asuka made their way into the drastically alerted Tokyo-3.
Somewhere Unknown.
Kaworu Nagisa stood on high, watching as two other versions of himself mad their way towards him.
"My, my..." Kaworu said
"This surely had never happened before?" another Kaworu-R said
"It's exciting isn't it, not knowing..." Kaworu-M said
"Indeed, it is..." they all agreed.
"But I'd like us to watch... and wait just a little while longer." Kaworu-R said, "I want to see what she does."
"I see." Kaworu-M said, "I'll wait, but I'll only wait for a little while."
"That's all I could ask from you...I know you can be quite ambitious."
"Hmm." He smiled, "I suppose that's true."
"How fascinating." Kaworu said looking at the moon intently, "How fascinating indeed."
