( -_-)

It's gonna be a short one.

A little while before Shinji's arrival.

"Leliel?" Kaworu-A said, amidst the grey fog.

And upon sensing the angel, Kaworu-R stopped and hit a singular key on the piano "They must be in quite the rush." he said

Meanwhile, Kaworu-M approaches unknowing Shinji Ikari.

"Hello...Shinji Ikari." he said

NERV HQ

"You ready?" Kyoko asked.

"Yeah." Yui said "I'm ready."

"Activate entry plug sequence." Kyoko said

Multiple colours ran through the plug, before the surrounding area turned into a prominent white.

Now for the first few seconds or so, Yui had felt nothing. It was quiet, peaceful and silent.

And then without warning a shriek invaded her mind, sounding multiple voices talking to fast to understand.

The emergency alarms rang and Kyoko tried her best to pull her out of it.

"She's going into the negative values" She said "This is bad..."

And as the entry plug went deeper and deeper, the sounds of the voices increased, louder and louder until...

SILENCE...

Suddenly, she found herself underneath the shade of that familiar tree.

An infant's cry echoing from behind her. Looking back, she saw the figure of a mother cradling her child.

"Is that me?" She said "No... It's what I want to be."

"Who you think yourself to be." The woman cradling her baby said. "In one reality this is true...Hello Yui."

There was no threat nor any malice, this other Yui who looked exactly like her kept calm, looking only to her child.

Yui sighed, wondering if she had the strength to do this.

"I'm going to cut through the small talk." Yui said not wanting to look any further "I came here to tell you, that I'm stopping this...I'm going to destroy the Eva's and Lillith. There will be no third impact, you and I... we end here."

"And then reality will crumble into itself, leaving the blood of a hundred billion on your hands."

'Would the original outcome be any different?"

"All living creatures would have the power to return, as long they are able to imagine themselves within their own heart."

"In a desolate world, removed from everything. to what would they return to? Disparity?"

"Anywhere can- "

"Don't, please..." Yui said interrupting her "As intriguing as arguing with myself sounds, I'm ending it here. It's over... I've done the calculations, and this the best possible result for us, without disrupting anymore realities or colliding into any more timelines, resulting in anomalies." Yui waited for a response from her counterpart, but was met back with silence.

"This the end...and I'm going to spend the last of my time being a mother to Shinji, So... I hope you understand."

Yet again, the woman gave no response, she only kept playing with her child.

"Aren't you going to stop me?" Yui asked

"And what good would that do? having the two of us inside the Eva?"

"You would live." Yui said

"and you would defy me." her counterpart responded.

Yui shrugged "You're strangely accepting of all this."

"You didn't want to argue, and so I granted your wish." Her counterpart smiled, "All things will happen as they should, that is my wisdom to you."

"from me to myself huh?" Yui said.

"Farewell." Her counterpart finished. After which the whole area faded into obscurity.

2 Days later...

Yui woke up in an ejected entry plug. The whole of Nerv seemed to be in a panic. And she was near unconscious. She pulled the emergency lever and the door opened, she tried to walk out and fell onto the ground floor.

"Mrs. Ikari" a staff worker said

"Take me... to central dogma."

"but ma'a-"

"Please! Just do it..." she begged.

Fine, she did as she asked, but central dogma had been damaged, so they went higher up to the Geofront where the battle had been taking place.

Outside they found Ritsuko, Misato, Maya, Aoba, and Hyuga witnessing the battle. Unit-00 had been defeated and Unit-02's limb s severed, even Mari's Unit-08 was bested by the Angel: Zeruel.

"How did this happen?" Yui asked half conscious.

But no one answered her. They continued to stare in horror as Unit-01 began to devour the angel. Yui also looked at the sight in abject horror.

But...but why? she wondered. "Why!" Yui said aloud "WHY!?"

Geofront Exterior

Shinji, Kaworu and Mari stared as Unit-01 went berserk and broke free of its restraints. It's roar echoing for miles away.

"That's different." Mari said

"Certainly." Kaworu agreed.
"It was at this point that I risked everything to save Rei." He said "But that's not happening in this reality...there is no near third impact."

Asuka didn't say anything.

"It would seem that the other me was right after all." Kaworu said "Shinji, we're charting into a history we know nothing about. Do we still wish to proceed as intended? "

"Yeah." He said, "I can't feel that pain in my head anymore...but I do feel something else."

"Unit-01 going berserk was bound to effect the Shinji Ikari of this world." Mari said "Similar to when the puppy started near-third impact, I think he got absorbed into the Eva."

"One less Idiot for us to deal with." Asuka said heading back into the car.

"Well puppy?" Mari asked

"We push forward." Shinji answered her "that's the only thing we can do for now..."

2-days earlier...

Central Dogma Nerv HQ

"What am I looking at?" Misato asked

"It's an angel." Ritsuko said, "Six-hundred and eighty meters in diameter, with a thickness of 3 nanometres."

"All I'm seeing is a sphere." Misato said.

"That's the shadow, the black mass on the ground is the actual body, sustained within an ultra-thin space at an inverted field. And inside that field is a region of space that can only be defined by Abstract mathematics, A Sea of Dirac if you will, it could even be another universe."

"As if we need more of those right now." Misato said sarcastically. "Anyways, how can we fight it?"
"It's easier than we thought actually." Kyoko said, "if we can get something with a powerful yield and explode It from within, the angel should implode, thus dying."

"Hmm." Misato said impressed, "Why didn't we get more smart minds assist you earlier, Ritsuko."

"Here's hoping we get another battle commander from another reality." Ritsuko retorted

"I actually wouldn't mind." Misato fired back, "if it means getting the job done, easier and faster then, why not?"

"Suit yourself." Ritsuko said

"In any case, I still think we should keep the EVA's on standby, You never know what might hap-" Misato felt a sharp pain at the top of her head, and soon so did Ritsuko too.

"Major Katsuragi are you okay?" Shigeru Aoba asked

"Yeah." She said, regaining her focus "I'm fine."

What the hell was that? She wondered

"Large unidentified object detected in orbit of the earths atmosphere." Maya said, "In fact a multitude of objects just appeared...seemingly out of-"

Then Maya experienced the same pain, so did Shigeru and then Makato.

"This is bad." Kyoko said, and then emergency detectors rang.

"Patten type Blue." She said, "Angel."

Exosphere - Earth

Misato stood ready, awaiting the coming explosion but... she was met with nothing. She opened her eyes, looking through to the outside view: she no longer saw the iris of EVA-Imaginary.

"Wha-what happened." She said breathing heavily.

She checked through the computer and the spear was gone, the pods ejected still floating in space. And even more shocking to her was the earth below... not a single shade of red...all blue as it was when she was a child.

"Where...am...I." she fainted, collapsing onto the floor.

Village 3

Asuka once again found herself atop the hill, in Kensuke's home. The memories of the times she spent there would play themselves out like holograms projected onto the house. But what played itself out the most she found, were those last few days they spent in the house. Reminding her of the time they also spent in Misato's residence.

"Kaworu calls those displacements in time." Shinji said entering the house. "Our being here combined with the Collison. Sometimes pushes the fabric of reality to try and justify itself, running all these multiple timelines at once and-"

"I... really don't care." Asuka said interrupting him. "It's just something else you messed up, once you got in the Eva."

"I guess." Shinji said "but I know I can fix it."

"How?" she asked, rather rudely.

"I just believe I can... I have to." He said, "and then...and then, you'll be free to choose your own path. Asuka."

"Idiot." She said walking away.

Shinji exited the house and found Kaworu standing nearby.

"Why not tell her what you said back then?" He asked.

They were now walking down the path entering into the village.

"I think it's for the best if I don't, Asuka she..." he paused

"What? What is it?"

"Nothing." He responded shaking his head. "The other day I saw the EVA units fighting two angels that looked like the first angel I defeated."

"Yes. That is true." Kaworu said

"So, at what point, relative to our own timeline are they?"

Kaworu looked around, trying to think about it.

"Well to be honest, the Collison has caused some of the angels to disappear and reappear...if I had to guess, I'd say they're about to fight Zeruel, and then there's another angel whose identity is unbeknownst to me."

"Okay, so tell me more about this Zeruel."

"That would be the angel you fought just before you instigated the near third impact."

"to save Ayanami." He said aloud "I have to stop it."

"Don't you mean we?"

"I don't want to drag any of into this...It's my mess, so I wanna fix it myself."

"Hmph." A smile found its way across Kaworu's face. "Who knows, you might find you're not entirely at fault..."

"You know, you've been very cryptic since we got here" Shinji said

"I'm just uncertain." Kaworu responded, "and I'd rather not tell you things that's I'm not sure of."

"I appreciate it Kaworu."

"Our names are written in the book of life...I'll help you however I can."

"Then you might want to tell me what's that." Shinji said pointing to a spherical entity approaching from the distance.

"That's the angel whose identity is unbeknownst to me."

"Leliel." Another Kaworu said, appearing from the sky.

"Greetings Shinji Ikari, Kaworu Nagisa."

"Tabris." Kaworu said acknowledging his counterpart

"If you truly wish for the restoration of this world, then I'll give to you the events as they must occur in my time, as opposed to yours...So listen carefully."

Present Time

Yui entered into Gendo's Office Furious.

"Why!" She said, "Why carry on with the plan when-" but then she noticed something was amiss.

"Where's Fuyutsuki?"

"He resigned." Gendo answered.

"He can't resign, he'll be killed."

"There've been searching for him, but nothing's turned up." Gendo broke his pose and spoke with a sigh, "I no longer have any intentions...of defying SEELE's scenario. I will also resign effective immediately. None of this... was any of my doing."

"You'll also be killed." Yui said

"And that would be fine with me." he responded.

"and what about Shinji?"

"Shinji has no need for someone like me in his life...I've failed him, and it seem that-"

"What?" she said, "Now that I didn't give what you want, you're running away?"

"I-"

"stop with the self-pity." Yui said "You're not being selfless, you're being selfish."

"Does that mean-"

"Think what you want...in fact do what you want, I'm going to save Shinji and be his mother...that's all I can do now...SEELE won't see their scenario fulfilled."

Yui turned back and began to walk towards the door.

"What do you mean?" Gendo asked "That SEELE won't see the scenario fulfilled?"

Yui didn't answer, she only closed the door shut.

I'll get you out Shinji, I promise...and then I'll put an end to the EVA.

END.

Yeah I know, slow chapter, next one will be better.
