(Haneda Airport, Japan)
"Higurashi-San, are you sure you'll be okay?" Nakada-San, the attorney who'd been working with her for the last two months, stood to her left. Kagome sighed and took another step forward as she stood in line at the airport. "I'm only asking out of concern for your wellbeing. You're still young, Higurashi-San. Seventeen, and here you are about to embark on an adventure across the globe."
"Is Brazil across the Globe?" Kagome leaned to the side and counted the number of people ahead of her.
"Yes, in fact, Brazil is diametrical to Japan." Pulling out his phone, he quickly searched and turned it to face Kagome.
Looking at the image, she frowned, "how long is this flight?"
"This one? I believe it's forty-nine hours, but you'll be able to walk around when you get to your first stop. I think your ticket said there were two stops in-between here and Brazil. Do you have everything you need?" Eyeing a large grey bag that Kagome had been shouldering. "Money, a charger, another pair of shoes, a hat, some bug spray—?"
"Anyone ever told you that you worry too much?"
"..." he cleared his throat and looked around. Glancing down, Nakada looked at the face of his watch with a critical gaze. "You have a couple of pairs of shirts and bottoms, right? Hopefully not just skirts?" Pointedly turning to look at the skirt she was wearing now, he turned his eyes up to meet Kagome's annoyed gaze head-on.
"Yes, I have three pairs of shorts and a pair of lightweight pants. Nothing heavy. You know you didn't need to come with me. Not that I'm complaining, but standing in this line is stressful enough if you're flying, and you're doing it to see me off."
"I offered to give you a ride here; I might as well make sure you make it to your plane safely." Pulling his bifold out, Nakada flipped it open and pulled a card from inside. "Take this,"
Kagome held out her hand for the business card and gave him a look of exasperation. "You've given me about eight of these since you started helping me."
"Out of the eight I've given you, how many do you have with you now?"
"...none...?"
Nodding, he closed his wallet and placed it back in his inside coat pocket. "When you get to Brazil, do you have a plan?"
Kagome laughed a bit and shrugged, "I'll walk around, I guess? Figure out where I'm going when I get there."
"Call if you need anything, Higurashi-San. Once you get on that plane, our business will be concluded, but know that you can reach out for help if you ever need it."
"...thank you, Nakada-San."
"Next!"
Turning, Kagome looked to the gate receptionist and turned back to Nakada, bowing low, "if I never see you again, please be healthy. Thank you for all your help." Straightening, she made her way to the receptionist, handing her ticket over. Kagome gave one final look over her shoulder. A smile framed her lips, and she waved goodbye as she boarded the plane.
"Flight 1217B will be taking off shortly. Any lingering passengers, please see your way to Gate 21."

(Eight Hours Later)
Kagome shook her head as she fought exhaustion. Knocking her bag to the side with her foot, she turned it and leaned down to pull a small halo orange from the side pocket.
"Miss, would you like a refreshment or snack?"
Looking up, Kagome straightened with the orange in hand and smiled, "water, please. Also, could I get a blanket?"
She poured some cold water into a clear plastic cup before passing it over to Kagome, "I'll be back with a blanket."
"Thank you. Do you also have an ETA on when we'll get to our first stop?" Kagome placed the cup on the extended table in front of her.
"Another four hours, Miss."
Kagome nodded, "thanks."

(Somewhere in Colombia)
(Dreamscape)
Camilo watched as his world swirled familiarly, much the same as it had so many months ago. Not letting himself get weirded out by the sudden shift in scenery this time, he waited and watched. Finally, the world came to a still. He was standing in the long hall of doors again. The doors, of course, were familiar too. He knew them well. But unlike how they were laid out in Casita, they were one across from the other in this neverending hall. Many doors more were past the ones he knew too. "Are there others like us?" Peering at a door past his own, he looked at a door with a curly-haired child who held his hands out and mouth open; what looked like the expression of music surrounded the child. Walking to another door, a man with really long hair held scissors in one hand and a comb in another. Camilo smiled and kept walking the long path.
It was a while until he heard footsteps. Those footsteps he'd heard before, the last time this happened. It was only once, but he could still recognize their hesitancy. Turning, he walked off in the direction of the sound. Keeping quiet this time, he watched as the girl appeared in the hall. Walking slowly, with soft steps, she paused before each door as she looked each one over. Feeling a tug, he barely cast a look at his wrist where that golden thread tugged for him to move closer, but he remained where he was. Last time, he'd frightened her. This time, he would wait.
Wait, he did. He watched as she reached out to one of the doors again. Not that they would let her in. They weren't hers. Or...that's what he'd thought. When she turned the knob and pushed the door open, he couldn't help but take a step forward. His hand moved; he stalled at the last moment so as not to frighten her. 'How?' He watched her disappear inside and quickly moved to the door. Peering around the frame, he locked his eyes with the door. His eyes widened as he took in a new image. A young female with the outline of a glowing circle surrounding her. Her eyes were closed, and her hands held out and open before her. Between her hands, an outline of Casita. In the background, just behind her, were two arrows crossed one over the other in an X.
"Are you just going to stand there?"
Jumping, Camilo frowned. Last time, he couldn't understand her. She'd yelled at him what he was sure was nothing short of 'stay away.' Of that, he was certain. Now, however, he could clearly understand her. "You can understand me now?" Yeah, he could tell that she wasn't from the same place as him, but he understood her!
"...I've been studying..."
He stepped inside the room. Long drapes of a transparent dusty pink fell from the ceiling and around the room to every corner. There were all sorts of plants he'd never seen before, floral and otherwise, a large window behind a large bed, with a view of stunning trees with pink flowers or leaves. He wasn't quite sure which one they were. Past the trees, there was a mountain cloaked in white snow. Around the room, there were weapons he'd never seen before. Pictures were hung wall to wall, and in the middle of the room, there was a strange table with a large and heavy blanket under the hard top of the table. What looked like wooden lattices covered in translucent paper made up the wall. Reaching out, his finger brushed along the paper. The feeling was...different. "How?"
"How what?"
"How do you have a door?" He shook his head and turned to face the girl. Realizing that he didn't know her name, he made to ask for it but couldn't speak. The girl was staring down at a photo; something about it seemed personal. He felt like he shouldn't be in here.
"I'm not familiar with these doors or their value. This room, however. Is it mine? It feels like it was made for me, like...a gift." Looking away from the photo, she turned to meet his eyes. When he didn't answer, she kept going. "That night, it was you who called out to me, right?"
Camilo blushed, bringing his hand up to the back of his neck. He laughed nervously, "heh, ah, yeah...sorry if I scared you."
"It's fine. I was surprised, and I couldn't see you through the shadows, but I'm fine now. Um," she brought her left foot back and behind her right, tapping it against the floor. "May I ask what your name is?"
"Camilo, my name is Camilo Madrigal."
"Camilo...that's your first name?"
"Yes?"
"...I'm Kagome Higurashi,"
"Kagome, it's nice to meet you finally."
She smiled, "same."
BANG-BANG-BANG!
Both Kagome and Camilo jumped at the sudden disturbance to their shared dream.
"Milo, time to get up!"
The world around them flickered. Camilo glanced around and frowned. "Ah...that's Mira. I- I need to go."
Kagome raised her hand, a small wave goodbye. Then, she began to fade from his sight, and the dreamlike world around him crumbled.
(End of Dreamscape)
Camilo blinked the remnants of sleep from his eyes, sitting up, his blanket pulled around his waist. "What do I do? She's got a door. She's got a door!?" Kicking his blanket off, he stood up and stretched before walking towards a mirror. Shifting, his eyes took in the girl of his dreams. Ugh, that was weird to think. The girl of his dreams? Well, he guessed it wasn't completely wrong. Changing back into himself, he took a deep breath, walking over to his ruana. He pulled it from the green prophecy lying against the wall. Throwing it on, he made his way out of his room and downstairs.
"There you are. What took you so long?"
Tossing an arm over Mirabel's shoulder, Camilo smiled and led her onward to the dining table that was outside. "I had a pretty incredible dream last night, well, this morning. I don't get them often, but today's was great."
"Uh-huh..." Mirabel nodded, though a small frown was forming along her lips, she continued listening as Camilo spoke.
"That girl, I saw her. This is the second time, but...uh...don't tell anyone. You know, I haven't told anybody else about this."
"Wait, what?!" Stopping, she turned to face him properly, "Hablas en serio?! I mean, you've seen her in your dreams? How?"
Camilo shrugged, "I don't know." He smiled, "but I'm trusting you, so don't go blabbing." He paused by the door and opened it, "you too, sis," locking his eyes with Dolores, who was staring right at him, a look of nervousness on her face as she quickly sauntered off. "Hm, how did she manage to keep quiet about Tio Bruno for ten years?"
Mirabel laughed, "she's your Hermana; why don't you tell me."
"You ever hear of "selective hearing"? Well, Dolores has what I call "selective blabbing"...you can usually distract her with something juicier, but this may prove to be a bit difficult, so the next best thing...is blackmail."
"We're gonna get in trouble, aren't we."
"You're not even asking, Mira."
