Sinnoh Ash in Alola POV:
This chapter takes place in an alternate universe
I repeat. An. Alternate universe.
"So, league finals huh?" Ash said to himself, as he walked down the street towards the stadium.
Just then, three girls approached him, all of them eager to speak to Ash.
"Ash, hey!" a girl with green hair said
"We all just wanted to wish you good luck! You're gonna excel and all of your classmates know you can win this league! A blue-haired girl said
Ash laughed, "Thanks, guys!"
"I don't even know their names," Ash thought to himself nervously
A girl with blue hair pushed the blonde forward and she smiled at Ash and spoke while looking at the ground
"She's sorta cute," Ash thought to himself
"Ummmmm Ash, hey, uhhh good luck out there! You've helped me so much this past year, and I uhh I really appreciate it. So please give it your all out there," the blonde girl said with a smile
Ash improvised on his feet
"Hey, thanks, that really means a lot. And I promise you that I'm gonna give it all I have!" Ash said determined
The speakers in the stadium announced "All contestants, please report to the ready room. The battle will be starting soon,"
"I'll talk with you guys after the match! See you all soon!" Ash ran off with a wave
"So uhhhhh, does anyone feel like Ash acted weird during that talk?" asked the green-haired girl
The blonde girl nodded, "Yeah, he was a lot more mature than usual. I'm slightly confused, but hey, if he's mature that just makes him even better boyfriend material," she said that last part with a slight blush
"Man, interrogating you about your feelings for him was one of the best decisions that I have ever made in my life," the green-haired girl said
The blue-haired girl just rolled her eyes, "You are both so obsessed with boys,"

"Announcing the first-ever Alola League final! It will be a battle between regions, and trainers hungry for success! Serena Yvone, runner up in the Vertress Conference, versus Ash Ketchum, runner up in the Lumiose Conference! It will be a 6 on 6 battle, with substitutions NOT allowed. Trainers, please step on the battlefield at this time." The stadium announcer said
Ash walked out into the stadium, which was strangely in his favor, the whole section behind him was decked out in blue, waving blue flags, while chanting his name.
And on the opposing end, a fashionably dressed girl walked in the other side and walked towards center field. She looked like she meant business, and Ash stared her down for a moment before approaching her. She spoke first.
"Hey, Ash! Do you remember me?" the girl asked
Ash nodded, "Yeah, barely. I just remember being friends with a girl at the summer camp, and her Kalosian accent. Neither of which it seems you've lost,"
"Well, just know that I started my journey because of you, you inspired me to grow strong and to never feel weak again, and now I'm gonna show you and the rest of the world just how strong I am!" Serena said with a determined look
"Let's put that to the test! Show me everything you've got!" Ash said while pumping his fist
"I'd be glad to, just know…. No hard feelings," Serena said as she tapped Ash's shoulder lightly and walked off
"Well, I suppose there's nothing else to say," Ash said as he walked off towards his box
"Contestants ready?" The referee asked, and both Serena and Ash nodded.
"In that case, battle begin!"
"Alright then, let's go Altaria!" Serena said while throwing a poke ball
"Let's make this an air battle, let's go Gliscor!" Ash said and threw out his first pokemon
Meanwhile on the stands,
"Okay, that's odd, Ash doesn't have a Gliscor in Alola, where are his usual pokemon?" said Lille confused
"Your guess is as good as mine," Mallow said with a shrug

"Alright Altaria, let's start with a steel wing!" Serena yelled out
Altaria's wings started glowing and the cloud pokemon flew towards Gliscor and clipped him, throwing Gliscor off balance.
"Now, follow up with dragon pulse!" Serena commanded
Altaria flew like a fighter jet, rolling around, testing Gliscor's hard-trained maneuverability and attacking with a nonstop dragon pulse as Gliscor rolled out of the way and avoided the strike.
"Gliscor, attack with a stone edge, you know what to do!" Ash yelled out,
Gliscor suddenly threw his wings up, and glided back, causing Altaria to pass him up after she missed her strike. Gliscor started chasing her and launched some stones he had summoned to strike Altaria straight in the wings. Altaria cried out in pain from the impact of the rocks and fell towards the ground.
"Gliscor, fire fang now!" Ash yelled out
Gliscor rammed into a falling Altaria, and crunched down with jaws of fire, causing Altaria to yelp in pain, and the cloud pokemon's wing had a red mark on it, which meant she must be burned.
Ash smirked, "Alright Gliscor, let's take this back to the air!"
Serena pointed at the sky, "Altaria, we need to end this fast! Fly up high and use draco meteor!" Altaria flew up towards the sky and unleashed a massive rock, which exploded into at least a thousand smaller shards, and they all came crashing down towards the earth. Gliscor rolled and dodged many, but he was only so fast, and the impact of one rock, led to two and so forth. Gliscor crash-landed and Altaria flew above him, waiting for the finishing blow.
Ash ground his teeth and pointed at Altaria, "Gliscor, use giga impact, full force! Hit her with all you have!"
Serena pointed at Gliscor, "Use dragon pulse, now!"
Gliscor flew straight through the dragon pulse and slammed into Altaria, which the impact from knocked out the cloud pokemon on impact, and the fall just confirmed it for everyone else.
Serena recalled Altaria and smiled,
"That was a great warmup! I'm excited now,"
Serena threw out another poke ball, and a Froslass emerged.
"Alright, here's one of my strongest ones right here, she'll show you how it's done!" Serena said
"Still good to stay in Gliscor?" asked Ash
Gliscor nodded
"Alright then, Gliscor use-"
"Ice shard!"
As quickly as the order was said, Gliscor was struck with a small dagger-like Icicle and collapsed to the ground. Out cold from the 4x effective hit
"I'm sorry Gliscor, that was my mistake," Ash said as he recalled his pokemon.
"Hmmm, an ice type? Guess I'll just have to melt it! Let's go, Infernape!"
Ash called out his Infernape and stared Froslass down.
"Oh! Lucky us," Serena said without a drop of sarcasm
"Froslass, use psychic!" Froslass's eyes glowed and Infernape was trapped by Froslass's telekinetic attack, unable to move. Infernape resisted the psychic attack just enough to not move, likely due to Froslass not having perfected the technique yet.
"We don't need to move to attack, Infernape use flamethrower, now!" Ash said
Infernape opened his mouth, and a strong jet of flame rushed out, striking Froslass and sending the ice type back, freeing Infernape from the grip of the psychic attack.
Infernape blasted another flamethrower, which Froslass futilely tried to match with an ice beam.
"Now, use Flare Blitz!" Ash yelled out while pointing at Froslass
"Froslass, try and dodge it!" Serena yelled back
Infernape flew towards Froslass and slammed into her, sending Froslass into the dirt before the ice type even had an opportunity to dodge the attack.
Froslass slammed into the ground, and Serena recalled her ice type.
The scoreboard flashed, and Serena's icon was left with one less pokemon.
"Hmmm, if you want to fight up close and personal, I'll show you up close and personal, let's go Pangoro!"
A massive evil-looking Panda fighting and dark type stared down Ash's Infernape and tried to intimidate it. Infernape ignored the gesture and motioned for Pangoro to come and try it.
"Pangoro, show them your earthquake!"
Pangoro stomped, and rumbled the earth beneath Infernape, causing debris and rocks to shoot out of the ground, knocking Infernape all over the floor of the arena.
"Now follow up that attack with hammer arm! Strike Infernape as hard as you can!" Serena shouted
"Infernape, use-" Ash's command was interrupted by Pangoro's strike straight to Infernape's head, sending Ash's fire crashing into a pillar of earth he created.
"Now, use drain punch!" Serena said
Pangoro lunged at Infernape with surprising speed, struck Infernape with a glowing fist, and absorbed Infernape's energy straight into him.
"Infernape, no!" Ash cried out
Infernape collapsed on the ground, seemingly out of it.
Until
Infernape stood up, and exploded with rage, the fire on his head growing to a hundred times the original size.
Infernape. Was. MAD
The whole stadium watched in awe, as Infernape's rage exploded and Pangoro was thrown back by the sheer power Infernape's Blaze projected.

"What on earth is that," asked Kiawe with his jaw hanging down to the ground, "Ash has achieved mastery of fire-type power with a pokemon I never even knew he had!"
Lille was on the edge of her seat, not even saying a word as the rest of the group tried to make predictions about how the rest of this match would go

"Infernape, yes!" Ash said
"Don't change plans Pangoro, the fire may be bright, but we can put it out! Earthquake again!"
"Infernape, use flare blitz!" Ash said
Infernape coated himself in flames so blue, they almost seemed white, and crashed into Pangoro, sending a shockwave through the stadium.
Infernape landed and looked back at Pangoro, who collapsed from the sheer force of the strength of the impact that Infernape landed.
Ash's supporters' section went crazy,
Ash had defeated half of Serena's team while only losing one of his own, and if he could keep this up, he'd win easily.
Serena sighed and recalled her Pangoro
"Gotta say, I didn't see that one coming! But, prepare for some trouble with my next one, let's do this Sylveon!"
Serena sent out her Sylveon and Infernape was still blazed up, so he looked at Sylveon menacingly, as if the eeveelution would be his next meal.
Sylveon looked back at Serena happily, showing the epitome of trust between trainer and pokemon. Any pokemon trained anything less than perfectly would be scared out of its mind right now.
"Sylveon, do your thing! You know what to do!"
"Flare Blitz, again!" Ash said impatiently
Sylveon waited for Infernape to fly closer, and at the last minute, threw up a reflect screen, which protected itself for the most part against Infernape's blow, while still making Infernape suffer the recoil.
Infernape was thrown back by the attack and looked at Sylveon, even more, enraged
"Flamethrower!" Ash shouted out
"Moonblast!" Serena commanded
A jet of blue flames hit a massive pink orb, and the two met in an explosion
The two attacks crossed
But, Infernape's blaze sadly came to an end, as a massive moon blast made contact first, and defeated Infernape. But not before he seemed to have burned Sylveon's paw. Ash would make use of that later
Ash smiled and recalled Infernape, "Good work buddy, I'm so proud, now get some rest."
"Alright Serena, meet my oldest partner and best friend, Pikachu!"
Pikachu ran out from Ash's side and stared down at Sylveon
"Piiiika" Pikachu cried out
"Veon Syl Veon!" Sylveon said in response
"Pika Pi! Pika Pika Pika Pi Pi!" Pikachu said as he ran back towards Ash
Ash laughed, "It's ok buddy, Sylveon doesn't mean "smash you" in a mating sense, I think she means like metaphorically,"
Pikachu nodded and returned to the field,
"Now, use Volt Tackle!" Ash said
Pikachu coated himself in an electric coat and lunged at Sylveon, before being struck by a shadow ball.
"Oh shoot, I probably shouldn't have gotten you so close to Sylveon, sorry buddy," Ash thought to himself
"Hey, Pikachu, retreat!" Ash yelled out
Serena yelled out, "Sylveon, yawn!"
"Pikachu, watch out!" Ash yelled as Pikachu was struck by a sleepy cloud emitted by Sylveon, and after a brief moment, promptly fell asleep.
Serena took her chance, "All out moon blast, now!"
Sylveon raised a moon blast the size of a small house and launched it at a sleeping Pikachu.
After the dust had settled from the blow, Ash picked up Pikachu and carried him back to his box.

"What was that move Pikachu used?" asked Sophocles to Lille, who just shrugged
"Not sure, I've never seen it before," The blonde girl said

"I'm ready when you are!" Serena said, smiling at Ash
They were dead even now, down 3 apiece
Ash called out his massive grass type, "Alright Torterra, let's go!"
Torterra stomped his foot and looked at Sylveon like he had something to prove, almost like the writers of life screwed him over.
Serena pointed at Torterra, "Sylveon, moonblast again!"
Sylveon launched a smaller moonblast, which struck Torterra, however, he just shrugged it off, acting as if nothing had even happened.
Serena looked around in frustration, clearly thinking hard
Ash yelled out, "Leaf storm, now!"
Torterra launched a menacing leaf storm attack, sending thousands of razor-sharp leaves which struck Sylveon, leaving cuts all over.
"Sylveon, use- oh no!" Serena said
Sylveon collapsed, as a result of the burn damage sustained from Infernape, and Torterra's leaf storm. Sylveon tried to stand back up, but the burn damage on the paw was too much.
Torterra stomped his foot and launched an energy ball attack which hit Sylveon, and sent the fairy type down to the ground, causing swirls to emerge in its eyes.
Sylveon fainted from the impact of the blow, and now Ash was up again, as another icon flashed gray on the jumbotron.
Serena reached for another poke ball,
"Alright, let's see how this one goes! Let's go, Roserade!"

Mallow's eyes lit up
"This is the coolest league final ever! A battle of grass types aaaaaah! So cool!"
Lana shuddered
"This is like my worst nightmare,"
Kiawe laughed, "I'm with Mallow, two grass types would be awesome! To burn down naturally,"
Lille just rolled her eyes and focused on the battle once again

Roserade stared down Torterra when Ash yelled out,
"Alright Torterra, use rock climb! Get up close and personal, Roserade's like to attack at a distance,"
Serena laughed to herself, as Torterra ran closer, and closer yet to Roserade.
"Big mistake," she thought to herself
"Roserade, use hidden power!" Serena said
Roserade launched a few white orbs towards Ash, and his eyes widened, realizing what her plan was
"Torterra, get out of there, now!"
Torterra stopped, but it was too late, he was struck by all the orbs, and was frozen from the blow. The ice-type hidden power had frozen Torterra, and he was on his last legs.
Torterra tried to stand up again but was stepped on by Roserade who launched another hidden power attack, which ended Torterra's career.
Torterra collapsed, and Ash recalled him.
Both trainers were down to two apiece.
Ash grabbed a poke ball and smiled, "Alright, let's get some air support again, let's go Staraptor! And we know how to take down a Roserade!"
Staraptor recalled his fight against Nando's Roserade and made a mental note
"Do what you did last time!" Ash yelled out
Staraptor coated himself in blue energy, formed a massive brave bird attack, and lunged straight for Roserade.
Roserade launched several hidden power orbs, some of which Staraptor dodged with ease, and flew straight through others, damage be damned.
Staraptor flew towards Roserade at a blistering pace, and slammed into her, sending her flying across the length of the stadium, and crashing into the walls.
Serena sighed, as she watched her pokemon's icon vanish.
She was down to one.
Her starter and most loyal companion.
"Alright, Delphox, let's show the world just how strong we are! Go and do it!"
Delphox was released from her trainer's poke ball and gazed at the mighty staraptor.
Staraptor flexed its wings and started flying circles above Delphox.
Serena cried out "Alright, now let's end this asap! Delphox, use Psychic!"
Delphox pulled Staraptor closer, and despite the resistance of the bird. His attempts were futile
"Now, use shock wave!"
Delphox released Staraptor who wasn't fast enough to escape the attack.
Delphox unleashed a wave of sparks towards Staraptor who screamed in pain from the blow.
Staraptor didn't get back up. And thus, it was a one on one battle
Ash smiled and grabbed a poke ball.
"My first capture in Sinnoh,"
Flashback to Ash capturing a Gible on his first day in Sinnoh
His matches against Roark, and Gardenia
Mastering Draco Meteor accidentally during a late night training session
Ash had grown with Gible, his patience being tested time and time again
He remembered the evolution against Fantina when he was needed the most
And his final evolution when Ash faced down Volkner
The gift of a Garchompite given by Cynthia as thanks for the Galactic Incident
Gary finding a key stone and gifting it to Ash the day before the league.
Ash's thumb clicked the button, and he released his mighty Garchomp.
"Alright Garchomp, this is it! This is the moment we've dreamed of," Ash said
"Now, let's do this in style! Let's show the world our bond, and go even further beyond!" Ash reached for his keystone, and clicked his mega glove with his thumb.
Garchomp began to glow, and was surrounded by a familiar purple veil. And after a moment, Garchomp's mega stepped out of the light.
The audience gasped, and Serena smiled and started performing a dance, which caused the crowd to go wild. Alolans did love their Z moves.
"Let's end this in style Ash, alright Delphox use our special Z move!"
Delphox began creating a massive fireball in the air, and Serena raised her hands at the same time as Delphox did, creating a massive flaming pink ball.
The orb rested in the air, only growing in size, as Ash and Garchomp watched it grow, standing their ground and not so much as flinching.
"Alright, do it now!" Serena shouted at the top of her lungs
Delphox launched a massive fireball, which sped towards Garchomp
Ash yelled out, "Draco Meteor! Counter it!"
Garchomp released a massive Draco Meteor Attack which sped forward towards Delphox and exploded on contact with the Z move.
The contact of the two attacks emitted a flash of light which blinded Ash
Garchomp cried out in pain, presumably from being hit with a part of the blast.
A massive cloud of dust covered the stadium, and Ash gave his next order
"Dragon Rush! Garchomp now!"
Garchomp jumped up in the air, and flew down towards Delphox. Delphox looked in shock, a look shared by Serena with the sheer speed Garchomp possessed, as the Mega-Garchomp cleared part of the dust cloud and slammed into Delphox.
A singular moment may as well have been a year
The referee walked forward and raised a flag
The scoreboard buzzed, He already knew the result
He had won. Ash Ketchum was the champion of a pokemon league.
Best time travel experience ever

It's a travesty that Ash was never given a Garchomp. Instead of (albeit good) comedic relief, Ash could have had a Garchomp who shredded everyone!
