Time Skip.

Clary talks about her encounter with Jace and the gang get an invitation.

Time Skip (1 year on Earth, 5 Years in Hell)

The Castle, Edom

Clary quickly walked through the corridors of the castle, it was late at night so nobody was around although if they were they would all make way for Clary as she made her way to her bedroom. When she entered her bedroom she found Lilith waiting for her, Lilith took one look at her before opening her arms allowing Clary to rush into them.

C-"It was horrible. I had to pretend like I did but didn't know him and then I had to leave him standing there."

L-"You are doing the right thing Clary, you're doing it for not only his safety but yours and Celine's as well."

Clary sighed as she removed herself from Lilith's arms.

C-"I know, it just doesn't make it any easier."

L-"I know."

Lilith gave Clary a small smile before Clary spoke again.

C-"Was Celine good for you?"

L-"Of course she was, she always is. She ate all her food and went straight to sleep."

Clary nodded as she walked into the closet to get changed. She came out a few seconds later wearing a set of silk pyjamas and a long silk robe. Lilith is about to speak when their is a knock at the door, the door opens and Johnathan steps into the room. Clary and Lilith both tense as he enters and the atmosphere changes drastically.

C-"Brother, what are you doing here?"

J-"I came to talk to you because I have an idea?"

L-"What idea?"

Johnathan looked at Clary before speaking

J-"I want to bring your friends here."

Clary and Lilith both pale at the announcement.

C-"Why?"

J-"Because I think it's time we filled them in on your situation, and they kind of have someone to meet don't they?"

Clary's face filled with fear and her eyes filled with tears, Johnathan strode over to her, moving a piece of hair from her face before gripping her shoulder, rather tightly.

C-"Don't be afraid little sister, what's the worse that could happen?"

Clary had an answer but she kept her mouth shut looking at Lilith as Johnathan sighed and removed his hand from her shoulder.

J-"I'll send the invitation in the morning, if that's okay with you?"

Clary and Lilith both nodded before Johnathan left the room, once the door closed behind him Clary let out the breath she didn't know she was holding.

C-"Lilith, what are we gonna do?"

Lilith stood still, the wheels clearly turning in her head before she spoke.

L-"We'll have to get them in a room without Johnathan and explain it to them."

C-"Not everything."

Lilith looked at Clary, knowing that Clary was indicating her parentage. So Lilith nodded in agreement.

L-"No, not everything."

Clary sighed before Lilith gave her a hug for the night and left the room.

The Institute, New York

Jace entered the institute and walked straight to Izzy's office, where Izzy, Simon, Alec and Magnus where all waiting for him. After his encounter with Clary he had texted them all telling them to meet him in Izzy's office. When he entered the office he found them all ready for him to begin talking so, he got straight to the point.

J-"I just saw Clary and she recognised me."

The room fell into a silence, Simon and Izzy looking shocked and Alec and Magnus giving each other a worried look.

I-"What do you mean, she recognised you?"

J-"She said she felt like she knew me from somewhere and then she left."

S-"Where has she been? Why did you only find her tonight?"

J-"I don't know. However their was something different about her."

M-"Different about her how?"

J-"She seemed more - I don't know, poised, confident, mature."

A-"So you're sure it was Clary."

J-"100%."

As Jace finished speaking a fire message appeared on the table, on the envelope in cursive writing it was addressed to them all. Izzy picked it up and opened it before reading it aloud to the group.

"Dear friends, it seems as though you are missing a valuable member of you team; sorry family. Just so you know she is safe here in Edom with me. Now I know you won't believe me from just reading this then I suggest you come for a visit. For the next hour I'm allowing the guards down to allow your warlock to portal you all here and before you ask - it's the same place as before. See you soon, Johnathan."

The room is in silence for a moment before Simon speaks.

S-"Is it real?"

A-"I think it's safe to say it's real. So are we going?"

I-"Of course we're going, Magnus if you wouldn't mind?"

Magnus nodded before opening a portal allowing the group to jump through, he looked around the office once more before jumping through himself.
