"Sleep well, Yuji." She flung him over her shoulder, looking over to Fushiguro who still stood frozen. Smirking. "Maybe saying yes, wasn't so bad afterall."
Then vanished from the scene.
Chapter 2 For Myself
Fushiguro got in position to summon something, "You're no longer human. Under Jujutsu regulations-" He paused when he found himself on top of the damaged rooftop, alone.
'Huh? Was I about to do? There's no one here not even a curse...did I exocised it?' The black haired youth thought slightly confused.
"What's the situation?" A different voice spoke up.
Startled, Fushiguro turns his attention over towards a tall man, towering over the boy. He has white hair that's spiked up, wearing an all-black high-necked jacket with matching pants and dark dress boots, sporting a simple blindfold over his eyes.
"Gojo?! Why are you here?"
"Hey. I wasn't planning on coming, but man, you're roughed up. I should show the second-years." He said while taking multiple pictures of of the injured boy, who covered himself.
"Face this way. The higher-ups wouldn't shut up with a special-grade object gone missing."
"So I stopped by while doing some sightseeing. So, did you find it?" Gojo said.
"Huh? Not sure, the curse energy of Sukana's finger has vanished." Fushiguro said.
"For real?
"For real." Fushiguro replied, bluntly.
Grinning, Gojo chuckles, "That's hilarious! The higher ups will go bald when they hear this! So, have any ideas?"
"How the hell would I know?! I followed the curse up to the rooftop and destroyed it, though my head hurts for some reason." Fushiguro snapped. Holding his head.
Humming, Gojo puts a finger underneath his chin in thought, 'Strange did The higher ups send another Jujutsu Sorcerer? No, I would've sensed them and one of Sukuna's fingers if they had it in their possession. Not only that, but there's something wrong with Megumi.' This could be a major pain in the ass or something very entertaining.
"Oh, well, we can always just look for it later!" Gojo shrugs, not at all bothered by the fact that the "King Of Curses" fingers is now missing.
"This isn't the time to be so relaxed! What are we going to do?!" Fushiguro yelled, angrily at him.
"Well, there's nothing we can do right now," Gojo replied, "For now, we'll report everything that happened here and then probably come back at a later date."
"By the way, I bought some souvenirs," Gojo hands a bag over to him, "They're treats and taste really good, so I ended up getting a lot of them."
Fushiguro's eye twitched, 'While I was out here fighting he was too busy getting this?' Looking up at the man's smiling face he frowned, 'I seriously am going to punch him!'
(Sawasaki Hospital)
"Senpai, me and my mom came to visit!" Yūji announced, having brought a basket of fruit, with Kairi coming up behind.
"Good morning, my son's friends." She greeted with a warm smile.
"Itadori, Mrs. Itadori, you didn't have to come all this way to visit." Sasaki smiled when she saw him though. Last night was a nightmare for the two, but it seems they don't remember most of what happened, which was a good thing. Of course they still questioned everything they saw and wondered if it really was a dream, but thankfully left it at that.
"How is he?" He asked, placing the flowers he brought in the vase.
"Just a mild concussion and some bruises," Sasaki replied in a solemn tone, "The doctor said he was really lucky to only receive those injuries."
"Poor dear, hope he gets better." Kairi said, concerned for her son's senpai.
There was silence as Yūji didn't ask anything else, but Sasaki still had something to say, "Hey, Yūji...I really wonder if what we saw last night was really a dream."
"You think it was real, then?" He questioned, "I mean, the school is closed down temporarily because of the damage. And I can't say nothing happened since I wasn't there, but if you say something did happen then I believe you." A grin appeared on his face as he finished.
Yuji then felt himself pulled towards his mother, head pressed against her chest, "Doesn't mean freetime, Yuji, have to do some chores before having fun."
"Yes mom." He answered with dotted eyes.
Sasaki looked grateful for the support, "Thank you…"
Yuji and Kairi stayed there for a few more minutes before leaving to head home. Stepping out of the hospital, Yuji saw the very same boy from before standing outside, "Oh, it's you! Uh, what was your name again?"
"Ah, Yuji, you made friends with a cute sea urchin." Kairi said smiling.
"Mom." Yuji felt embarrassed.
"Fushiguro Megumi." He replied in a blunt tone, with a blush "How are your classmates?"
"They're fine, Sasaki-senpai thinks that what she saw last night was all just a dream." Yūji answered, "I don't know all of what happened, but I'm not gonna ask about it. Besides, they're both okay and that's enough for me."
"I see."
"Did you come all this way here to check on them? That's nice of you." Yūji grinned.
Fushiguro didn't comment and instead eyed Yūji from top to bottom. The boy still had some strange energy and his Mom seemed strange with something else he contemplated letting Gojo know, but Sukuna's missing finger was of a higher priority right now. Or so he tells himself, but he's refusing to let this go and wants confirmation.
"You…" Fushiguro speaks, hesitant in getting his next words out, "No, nothing."
This confused Yūji a little while his Kairi chuckled at the reaction before walking past the two.
"Come along Yuji, we have to go home." Kairi calls out.
"Coming, see ya, later then, Fushiguro."
"Don't call me by my last name so easily."
Yūji merely chuckled while grinning, "It's fine, isn't it? We could see each other again, one day." He then hurried up to catch up with his mom.
'He seems so sure.' Fushiguro thought.
….
Yuji got into the backseat of the car putting his seatbelt on, Kairi drove away.
….
Over with Fushiguro, he had met up with Gojo, who was standing next to a car. The bastard was smiling as usual, leaning against the vehicle, "Welcome back, did you say goodbye to your new friend?"
"He isn't my friend, just someone related to the incident." Fushiguro countered, sounding annoyed.
Gojo hums before turning his own attention towards Yūji and Kairi, who walks away from the hospital. His eyes linger on the boy and mom as he notices something then smiles, 'I see, so that's how it is.' Fushiguro was either blessed with luck or cursed with it. Looks like they'll be seeing this kid again very soon.
….
On the road home Yuji rested his head against the window watching various structures go by, at the front seat Kairi looked at the rearview mirror to her son noticing his expression.
"What's wrong Yuji, miss your friend already?"
"It's not that," Yuji drawled, removing his face from the window and looking down at his lap. "Feels wrong lying to Fushiguro."
"Now Yuji, everything will work out fine," Kairi locked eyes with her son through the rearview mirror. "Trust me."
"If you say so."
"I know so, how about I bake a cake when we get home?"
"Really?"
"Yes."
(Flashback)
Kairi returned home appearing in her son's bedroom placing the unconscious boy on the bed, where after a few minutes Kairi changed her boy's clothes into pajamas then tucked him into bed. Kairi watched her son's soft breathing could be heard brushing a few strands from her son's face.
"Sleep well, Yuji."
After a few minutes Kairi formed a devious smirk.
"Let's start."
Pressing two fingers against Yuji's head, Kairi's surroundings changed. The moonlite lights and dark room of Yuji's bedroom gave way to what seemed to be a large cavern, with a seemingly general theme of weirdly colored water and bones, if the mountain of animal skulls, pillars of bones and floor made out of some sort of liquid.
"Ooh, what decor." Kairi praised.
"Don't poke around inside me without permission. Bitch!"
Kairi looked up to someone similar to Yuji, his face decorated by stark black lines outlining the face, running down his jaw to the chin and coming to a stop just below the second pair of eyes, which had opened. He had a black stripe over his nose and a marking on his forehead. Yuuji's doppelganger had a sneer on his face, hair slicked up and pushed back. He wore a white kimono and a black scarf, Kairi spied two black lines surrounding the man's two wrists. Sat on top of a throne of skulls and grinned.
Kairi, who was standing at the bottom of the throne of skulls
"How can a mere child be able to suppress me so thoroughly? I, Ryomen Sukuna, King of Curses, so easily suppressed by something easily broken to bits?" Sukuna said, sitting.
"So the fabled King of Curses, Ryomen Sukuna, could've sworn the books depicted you as two-faced and four armed? Pity your reduced to easily manipulated mortals." Kairi chuckles.
"Dare have a tone like that to me? Brave for a mere woman...then again you, yourself aren't far off as I and your living with the flesh." Sukuna said.
Kairi closed her eyes, hmphed a bit, "Unlike you as you claim, I'm quite the actor." She then grabbed a skull. "But before I leave….we have to set who is in charge!"
She then threw it at the curse. Before it could make contact, Sukuna dodged it and landed on the ribcage that was in the domain. Suddenly it grew quiet as he scanned around, not seeing that Women anywhere.
'Where she go? She couldn't have left my domain.' Sukuna thought.
In a flash Kairi had appeared in front of Sukuna, having a wild look in her eyes that surprised Sukuna before a fist made contact on his face.
'She hit me?'
"Comeon, Sukuna, your years of not being on the living plain has made you a lousy fighter." Kairi taunted.
Kairi started throwing punches as the king of curses blocked each one which didn't falter Kairi as it made her look more excited.
"Take this!" Kairi then goes to punch him but Sukuna dodges with ease, appearing behind her.
"Huh?" He said with a dumbfounded face.
"Your getting predictable." Then he aimed to kick Kairi only to meet with an empty space. "Where she go?"
A shadow casted above Sukuna prompting the cursed spirit to look up and see Kairi coming down, with her heel towards his face.
The camera shifted to the side of the ribcage as Sukuna crashed through and landed in the bloody water with a geyser coming up and rain pouring down, down in the spot he landed, Sukuna coughed up blood a bit.
"Damn it, she's strong." He cursed.
Before he could get up two medium sized knives colored red, flew down and embedded themselves into Sukuna's shoulders holding the king of curses down, making him dumbfounded.
"The hell!"
Just then Kairi came down her feet landing on Sukuna's stomach, making the cursed spirit have the wind knocked out of him.
"Now."
Kairi leaned closer towards Sukuna's face where her own face was crazy and eyes glowing red, the eyes reflected Sukuna's uncertain face.
"Let's get down to who's really in charge inside and outside, o.k?"
'Who is she?'
….
The following morning Yuji woke up with a start.
"Fushiguro! Senpais!" He shouted, when the pink haired boy saw he was in his room. 'Huh? I'm home?'
Yuji had hurried downstairs dressed in his casual clothing towards the kitchen.
"Mom! Dad! You here!"
In the kitchen was just Kairi who stood in front of the stove, hearing her son she looked over her shoulder and smiled.
"Yuji, I'm glad you're up, Dad is fast asleep upstairs. Today is his day off and he was exhausted last night waiting for his wild child to come home." She explained with a light chuckle.
Yuji blinked in confusion, 'who came and got me?' Taking a deep breath he asked something else.
"Mom, did you come and get me from school last night because I don't remember coming home last night?"
No response.
"Mom, did you do something to Fushiguro?"
Kairi dropped what she was doing at the stove and made her way towards her son, standing across from him.
"Yuji," Kairi placed gentle hands on Yuji's cheeks, cupping them. "I did nothing too scarring that the boy wouldn't know his own name."
"Well that's a relief but, what about all the whole curses and eating a whole finger!... maybe I'll like to forget that."
Kairi squeezed her son's cheeks, rubbing a thumb on each of the small scars under each eye. "Do not worry about that, right now, focus on your family. Understand?"
"But what about-"
"No more questions, just know that what's inside you, will not bother you. Not after having a 'civil' conversation and being aware of his place," Kairi smiled still thumbing the two scars. "The only useful thing he has done was make my baby boy handsome."
Yuji had dotted eyes. "Mom."
(End of Flashback)
(Three Days Later)
A car was making its way towards Sendai City were Fushiguro Megumi who leaned against the window, while Gojo opted to sit in the front seat with Ijichi nervously driving the car.
"Alright, first things first, we're going to go over the mission information we have so far," Gojo spoke, ignoring the tense atmosphere, "And here to help us go over said information is none other than our very own nervous Ijichi here."
Ijichi flinched at the mention of his name but coughed into his fist and brought up the information he was able to gather, "Um, the suspect's name is Kairi Itadori. Born December 19, age 22. She is married to Jin Itadori, mother of Yuji Itadori and daughter in law of Wasuke Itadori. There is no other information prior, parent's or place of birth is all unknown, we can assume that she might not be who she claims to be."
In the back seat, Fushiguro frowned. So a husband and son might be living with someone whose not being truthful.
"I see, and what's the grandfather's situation?" Gojo asked, curiosity getting the better of him.
"From the information gathered, he's been hospitalized for four years," Ijichi replied.
….
(Itadori Residence)
"Bye mom."
Yuji came out of his house turning around to wave at his mom who stood at the doorway, waving back.
"Have a nice time, Yuji." Kairi smiled.
Yuji returned his own smile watching his mom close the door, just as was about to go when he turned his head to the side. His eyes focused on a single pole that was a few blocks down his house. Strange as it may sound, but he could feel someone watching him, and his instincts are telling him he's not wrong.
'Probably my imagination.' Yuji thinks for a moment before shrugging. A few minutes went by after he took off before two familiar figures came out from behind the pole.
"Phew, well wasn't that a close one." Gojo said, faking wiping some sweat off his forehead, 'I'm not sure if he sensed someone watching him, or what.'
"Not exactly, he probably had the feel of eyes on him that most people would have, nothing major." Gojo assured her.
Fushiguro was quiet as his gaze was set upon the house. At first glance it appears to. Just be another normal house, but there was something about this one that was different.
"So a young teenage boy going out to hang out with friends while mom stays home. Classic. Gives us time to talk with Mrs. Itadori." Gojo absentmindedly said.
"And how long of a chat are we going to have? He will come back sooner or later?" Fushiguro questioned.
Their conversation was interrupted by a random neighbor walking her dog, "Oh, why hello there." The kind lady greeted before approaching them. Her dog barked a greeting to them as well.
"How rare, are you friends of Yuji or Kairi?" She politely asked them.
Gojo opened his mouth before the other two could say anything, "Hello there, ma'am! We're acquaintances of his grandfather actually! We came for a visit and thought of a quick stop at his grandson and daughter in law were doing."
Fushiguro give him a dry expression, 'Liar.'
The woman gave a solemn look, "Oh, didn't you hear, Wasuke passed two days ago pretty hard on the family."
Gojo had a dumbfounded with Fushiguro in the back lightly glaring at the blindfolded idiot.
"Sorry, we didn't get the phone call." Gojo coughed into his hand. "Anyway, do you happen to know about Kairi?"
"Kairi is a very caring wife and mother, the parents and children enjoy seeing her. Jin is blessed with a wonderful wife," she breathed a sigh of relief, "Though to be honest, Wasuke's relationship with Kairi was strain."
"What do you mean?" Fushiguro questioned.
"It wasn't hate, no, they got along alright. It was the comments Wasuke would say when it was the two of them alone. Wasuke would call her a Witch but Kairi would brush it off, that old fool was getting old. I hope it was 'W' and not the word 'B'." She explained.
The two sorcerer's were silent.
"Has Kairi ever explained her upbringing?" Gojo asked
"Hmm...not in the slightest, Kairi keeps to herself on that matter and barely says a word about her parents. But she does give that boy and husband a bright day everyday."
Smiling, Gojo placed a hand on the woman's shoulder, "Thank you leave it to us, ma'am." Fushiguro felt his words were sincere as he really meant it.
It was enough to convince the woman, for she bowed and went on her way. The two sorcerers stood there thinking about everything she told them. Kairi Itadori seems to be an enigma yet the people don't seem to mind.
"This mission will most certainly be an easy one." Gojo voices, hands settling lazily in both pockets.
"Why?" Fushiguro questioned.
Turning his head in the direction of Itadori's house he answered, "Kairi would probably come easy if she doesn't want certain stuff to come into light. Either be a lie or not, a person wouldn't want their cover to be uncovered."
Fushiguro nodded.
….
Kairi was busy in the kitchen washing some plates when she heard the doorbell.
"Comin'."
Drying off her hands Kairi walked all the way towards the front door, opening it up revealed Gojo and Fushiguro.
"Yes? Oh Fushiguro you came to visit and you brought some friends, how nice of you." She smiled sparkled around her.
Fushiguro blushed, turning his head away. "Mrs. Itadori."
"Hello Mrs. Itadori, may we come to discuss some things best kept private in the home." Gojo requests.
Kairi blinked, "Sure come in and take off shoes too."
The two Jujutsu Sorcerer's walked in as Kairi closed the door.
….
Situated in the living room Gojo sat on the couch while his student was standing in the hallway looking at the hanging picture frames of the Itadori family.
Fushiguro hummed at the framed memories of a good family.
Kairi sat down on the armchair across from Gojo placing a tray on the coffee table in-between which had tea and cookies.
"Tea?"
"Thank you." Gojo happily took a cup of tea, taking a sip. "Mmm, tastes amazing."
"Thanks, it's my special brew, my husband loves it very much." Kairi replies, taking her own cup. "So what does Fushiguro's teacher want? Sounds odd to come all the way out here?"
"Excellent question, I heard about Wasuke's passing and thought I'll bring my students to give my condolences." Gojo said.
Kairi sipped her tea, "Yes, Itadori-san passed two days ago. It was a regular family visit to see him and as usual Wasuke was being grouchy then went on talking about when you die, you should be surrounded by people who love you. Jin kinda didn't like how he was talking and asked Yuji to leave the room for a minute...then he passed, it was heart-breaking especially Jin but at least Wasuke died with his loved ones."
Gojo took in Kairi's words, "Were you close with Itadori-san? From the neighbors they say he always called you a witch?"
Kairi chuckled, "it was a common word for him to say about me," taking another sip Kairi placed her cup down. "Gojo, were you actually aware before or after Itadori-san's passing?"
Fushiguro peered from the hallway, Gojo formed a small smirk placing his cup down and leaned back against the couch, arms stretched across.
"Cleaver. How about showing your true colors, because honestly you're an enigma." He said.
Kairi formed a smirk, sipping her tea.
"Wasuke calling me a witch was getting old, even after meeting for the first time." Kairi's face had darkened and eyes were glowing. "I would've killed him on the first meeting for such a rude word...but I won't deprive my husband and son of their father/grandfather, wouldn't you agree?"
The room had grown cold as Kairi spoked Fushiguro grew cold sweat while Gojo whistled.
"Whoa, that expression is pretty scary but your appearance makes it less intimidating."
The dark expression left Kairi's face, a smirk forming.
"Tell me, your real reason for being in my home?"
"Getting to the main plot? Alright, we are Jujutsu Sorcerer's from Tokyo. Megumi was here to retrieve Sukuna's finger but unfortunately that's put on hold...but you have been on the radar for awhile from a scout that caught you doing some techniques that weren't jujutsu related or what the report says, probably the whole story was told to the higher ups who kept some detail out." Gojo explains.
"Hmph, should've taken care of him like the others but Yuji had a school event and wanted both of us to be there, so I was kindly generous in letting that person live. Big mistake." Kairi grumbled the last part.
Behind his blindfold Gojo had a glint in his eyes, liking this lady already.
"So onto the main reason for a visit is to recruit you and bring you to Jujutsu Tech," Gojo leaned forward almost across the coffee table. "What do you say?"
Fushiguro had blanked looks from Gojo's approach.
Kairi smirked, leaning back on the armchair and hands resting on her lap. "Sounds nice to go back to school but I must decline, being ordered by the weak is not my fort."
"But I'm the Strongest Jujutsu Sorcerer ever," Gojo chuckled. "Are you claiming your stronger than me? Because I would like a match to see with my own eyes?"
The room was quiet then in a split second that neither Gojo or Fushiguro saw. A red medium sized sword was lightly pressed against Gojo's neck putting the students on edge.
'Didn't see or hear her utter a word...and fast movement too.' Gojo thought, feeling excited then fear.
"As you can see I'm a formidable opponent that will have much difficulty taking out, regardless of title or how many that are strong my way each will meet their death and I'll laugh for their ego's getting their hopes up." Kairi said, before moving the sword away. "The only thing I must applaud is bravery but to tell you the truth, even you can be defeated if evil people put their heads together just to make it happen."
"And you can't be defeated?" Gojo questioned.
"A magician never reveals their cards up their sleeves, neither do I." Kairi smirks.
The room fell into silence again as all three Jujutsu Sorcerer's mission in recruiting Kairi could mean the end of them.
"Well, now we understand where you two stand, let's talk about negotiations. Neh?" Kairi placed her heeled feet on Gojo's face, pushing him away as she had enough of his closeness.
"Negotiations?" Gojo said.
"Yes and you will agree since I have some valuable information about Sukuna's finger...or should I say 'vessel' that might make things worth the deal." Kairi offered.
"Ooh, then let's negotiate." Gojo said.
….
Later at night the Itadori family were enjoying a usual family dinner together when Jin spoke up.
"Kairi, did anything happen today?"
"Actually a recruiter came to recruit Yuji to their school." Kairi answered.
Yuji almost choked on his food but caught himself and swallowed. "What for real?!"
"Yes. they're impressed with your athletic skills and want you there, especially your recently acquired skill you got." Kairi said, putting emphasis on 'recently acquired skill'.
Yuji seemed to the reference, "Oh."
Jin seemed to be out of the loop between son and wife. "Kairi, when is Yuji going to this school? If he's already at one."
"Transfer. I already have the paperwork they kindly left behind, you and me need to go over and sign."
Jin coughed into his hand, "Kairi let's discuss upstairs. Now." Standing up.
Kairi kept her smile as she stood up, pushing her chair in. "Yuji there's dessert in the oven, just leave the dishes in the sink, Momma will get it in the morning."
Yuji, who had dotted eyes, watching his parents disappear upstairs before looking back at his dinner then taking a bite.
"Hope the dessert is good." He mumbles.
….
Entering their bedroom Jin closed the door behind. Kairi stood in front of the bed.
"Kairi, why go making arrangements before discussing them with me? And Yuji too." Jin said, walking forward only with Kairi moving behind him.
"Now dear, I know what I'm doing." Kairi said.
"Do you? This sounds like a hidden agenda." Jin questioned.
Kairi gave a smirk pulling up her braid to remove the band then her ribbon, dropping them on the floor. Jin felt his face heat up as his wife looked gorgeous.
"Kairi." Jin pushed up his glasses.
Kairi invaded her husband's space seeing Jin's face turn redder, making her giggle and wrap her arms around his neck.
"Come. Show me what my megane does, to get his wife to behave~" Then Kairi leaned forward connecting lips with Jin and fell on the bed.
(A 🍋 Later)
Kairi put on a nice robe before getting out of bed where her husband laid, fast asleep his glasses laid on the nightstand beside. On the ground were their discarded clothes.
Kairi smirked, "Works all the time." Then walked out of the bedroom towards her son's room giving a knock then hearing 'come in' she entered.
Yuji was sitting up in bed when his mom walked in.
"Hey mom."
"Thought you'll still be up," Kairi came over and sat beside her son on his bed. "We have some things to discuss."
Yuji noticed the robe and her mom's hair a little messy, blushing. "Why can't it just be a normal conversation instead of 'that'."
"Then you wouldn't be here." Kairi chuckles.
Yuji gagged. "Gross...anyway what school am I going to?"
"Remember what your friend Fushiguro said?" Kairi said.
"Jujutsu Tech something, why?" Yuji recalls.
Kairi smiled. "Because that's where you're going."
Yuji stood in front of a train station waiting for someone after his mom dropped him off, so she can do something before meeting up later.
"Morning." A man with his eyes covered spoke to the teen walking up to.
The pink haired male, looked around before looking at the male in front of him.
"Hi?"
"Gojo Satoru. I'm in charge of the first-years at Jujutsu Tech." The white haired male, introduced himself.
"Oh, so you're the man mom told me about." Yuji said.
"Did she say, I'm handsome." Gojo said.
"Hum, no." Yuji replied, sweatdropping a bit.
"Eh?" Gojo then coughed into his hand. "Well let's get going, it takes a few hours to get where were going."
"Lead the way."
….
(Flashback)
Yuji sat in the backseat of the car as Kairi drove the car making their way towards Tokyo.
"You're excited, Yuji?" Kairi asked.
Yuji looked up, "kind of.." He then looked out the window.
"Someone doesn't sound excited?" Kairi looked in the rearview mirror to her son. "Come on, tell me how you really feel."
Yuji turned away from the window. "Mom. to be honest, were you aware of the info before or after?"
"My son knows me so well….well, Yuji after a little 'insight' into your future teacher mom is aware of everything he knows and for one is that you will be executed because your Sukuna's vessel. A big no-no in their community." Kairi explained.
"Seriously?! Then why send me to a school that wants to get rid of me!" Yuji exclaimed.
Kairi chuckled. "Yuji, no panicking, momma had a deal made with that white haired eccentric. Besides, you should know that Curses will never go away."
"Never?"
"Nope. They'll born from negative emotions of people, in order to stop curses, what would one do to prevent it?"
"Wipe out all humanity." Yuji answered.
"Correct. Momma can easily do that without anyone blinking before vanishing." Kairi said.
"You're not going to do that, are you mom?" Yuji asked, looking extremely worried.
"Maybe but to those who hurt my little boy and husband." Kairi answered, reassuring her boy.
Yuji let out a sigh of relief.
"Also, Yuji, you have consume Sukuna's twenty fingers." Kairi adds.
"Twenty? Oh, each finger and toe?"
"No, he had four arms like in scary movies." Kairi chuckled.
….
"Not sure if you were informed but the execution still on, but I got your sentence suspended."
"Mom told me she made a deal"
"Yup. I'll explain from the top." Gojo said and grabbed a finger that belonged to Sukuna, then continued, "Then is the same as the cursed object you ate. There are twenty in total. We possess six of them."
He then threw the finger up and suddenly released pressure from his hand. The finger flew into the wall. He then continued, "As you can see, we can't destroy them. The curse is just that powerful. The curse grows stronger by the day, and the seals of modern-day jujutsu sorcerers can't keep up. That's where you come in." Gojo said, while pointing at him, "When you die, the curse inside you will die, as well. Our elders are cowards, you know. They're demanding we kill you right away. But that would be a waste, wouldn't it?"
"A waste?"
"There's no guarantee another vessel capable of handling Sukuna will ever be born again. So this is what I proposed: If we're going to kill you anyway, why not kill you after you've absorbed all of Sukuna? The higher-ups agreed. So now you have two options before you. You can die right now, or you can find all the parts of Sukuna and die after you've absorbed them."
"Geez, not good options if I end up dying anyway, well at least I get to live." Yuji replied.
"If you plan to hunt down Sukuna, you're going to witness some gruesome scenes, I can't guarantee you or your friend won't end up that way yourself. So choose your hell."
Yuji looks down and thinks.
"Besides, you should know that Curses will never go away."
Yuji looked at Gojo, "Deal"
The older male gave him the finger, "Looking at it again, it's pretty disgusting." He then proceeded to swallow the finger.
'Well, that's the second one. One tenth of the whole. What's going to happen?' The sensei thought.
Suddenly, the black markings showed on got ready if something happened.
Yuji then came back to his normal self holding his neck with a disgusted face.
"Gross! So gross it's funny."
'That settles it. It's not just a physical tolerance. He can control himself against Sukuna without issue. We haven't seen someone with talent like that in a thousand years.' The white haired male thought.
Yuji looked at the male, "Something wrong?"
"Oh, it's nothing. I take it this means you've steeled your resolve?"
"Not at all. I'm still wondering why I have to be executed. But I can't just do nothing about the curse. The last request is gonna be a pain in my ass. I'll eat every part of Sukuna. I don't care what happens from there. I've already decided how I'm going to die."
Gojo grinned, "Nice! I like people like you. Sounds like a fun hell awaits." He said.
...….
"This is really deep in the mountains! Is this actually Tokyo?" Yuji asked.
"Even Tokyo's like this on the outskirts. Tokyo Metropolitan Jujutsu Technical High School. It's one of the only two jujutsu educational facilities. On the surface, it's known as a private religious school. Many jujutsu sorcerers continue to use it as a base after graduation, so it's a pillar of the jujutsu community not just in education, but for support and mediation missions. Anyway, you're about to have an interview with the principal."
"The principal?"
"Screw it up and he could reject your admission, so go all-out."
"Huh?!" Yuji said, "And what then? Immediate execution?!" He exclaimed looking at him as they walked.
"What? So you're not the boss? Any hierarchy other than strength is worthless." A deeper voice said.
The pink haired male then slapped his left hand over his cheek, and looked at Gojo. "Sorry, first time he does this."
"What an amusing body you have now."
Sukuna's mouth then appeared on Yuji's hand, "I owe you a favor, you know."
"Huh!" Exclaimed the boy.
"Once I make this brat's body my own, you'll be the first one I kill!"
"It's an honor to be targeted by Sukuna."
Yuji hit his hand over the mouth, and looked at his sensei, "This guy really that famous?"
"Ryomen Sukuna is a fierce imaginary god with four arms and two faces. But he's actually a human that really existed, though it was over a thousand years ago. In the golden age of jujutsu, sorcerers gathered up all their might to challenge him and failed. Crowned with the title of Sukuna, we couldn't destroy his grave wax as he traversed the ages after death as a cursed object. Without a doubt, he is the king of curses." He finished.
"Who's stronger, you or him, if I ask, are the strongest?"
"Strongest...If Sukuna regained all of his power, it might be a little draining."
"Would you lose?" Yuji asked him.
"I'd win." He said as both entered a building.
"You're late, Satoru. Eight minutes late." A deep voice spoke in front of them.
Yuji looked and gasped, only to see a bunch of stuffed toys.
"Not enough to chastise you for, but I know I told you to fix your habit of being late." The male said making a stuffed toy.
'That old dude's making cute things!' Yuji thought.
"If it's not enough to chastise me for, then don't chastise me. You're just making dolls, anyway. What's a measly eight minutes?" The white haired male said, then looked at Yuji. "That's Principal Yaga Masamichi."
"That's the boy?" The principal asked.
Yuji then bowed, "Itadori Yuji! I'm into girls like Jennifer Lawrence! Pleasure to meet you!"
"What did you come here for?" The principal asked.
"An interview."
"But why Jujutsu Tech?"
"To learn jujutsu?" Yuji said more like a question.
"I mean beyond that. What do you hope to find once you've studied curses and learned how to exorcise them?" He asked looking at the boy.
"Well, I mean...I'm going to collect the fingers of Sukuna. It's dangerous to just leave them as is." He said, wiggling his fingers on his left hand.
"Why? People you'll never know die everyday due to crimes, accidents, and diseases in the natural course of life."
"Here he goes again." Gojo said.
Yaga continued, "But you're telling me you can't overlook it when that death is caused by a curse?"
"It was someone's dying wish. I don't care about the details. I just want to save people."
"A dying wish? So you're saying you'll fight against curses because someone else told you to? You fail." He said, standing up.
Yaga then extended his right hand, and the green stuffed animal came to life.
"Those weren't dolls?!"
"Cursed corpses. They're dolls. Dolls infused with my curse." His hand then signaled the stuffed toy to attack, making the green doll head towards Yuji.
The toy suddenly punched the boy but he put his backpack in front of him, making the doll punch it instead with a great force.
'It's heavy!' Yuji thought. Then was thrown back into a wooden pillar and slid down.
"Is that really a doll?!" He said looking at it.
The inanimate object started to do poses.
"A person's true nature reveals itself during a crisis. I'll keep attacking you until I get an acceptable answer." Yaga said.
"Look, man, it wasn't just "someone else." It was a family member's dying wish!" Yuji said standing up, then running towards the toy and punching it.
The toy blew backwards, hitting the wall next to the principal, then going forward and jumping off of the pillars. It's speed making the candles go out.
Yuji trying to follow its movements said, "Shit, where is it?!" Then turned to the left.
The plush stopped at one of the pillars, then jumped off it, heading towards the boy and head-butting him.
The pink haired teen flew back crashing into another pillar, "Ow..."
"A family member is still "someone else."" The dark haired male said.
The doll danced, then turned and pointed his butt at Yuji.
'Right, it's a doll. It doesn't hurt or frightened.' Yuji thought.
"A jujutsu sorcerer is constantly facing death. And not just their own death. Sometimes you must ignore those murdered by a curse to rend the flesh from it. It's an unpleasant job. You have to be a little crazy and highly motivated to handle it. You'd do that because someone else told you to? Don't make me laugh. It'd be more believable if you told me you were doing it to postpone your execution."
"Screw you! I—" Yuji got cut off.
"Are you going to blame your family when you're killed by a curse, too?"
The boy's eyes widen, "You say some pretty damn harsh things, old man." The camera zoomed closer towards Yuji's eyes that momentarily glowed a blue hue before fading.
"Education is making people realize things."
"I'm not really..." Yuji started but suddenly got an uppercut by the doll.
"It's not easy to imagine how you'll feel on the verge of death. However, I can say one thing for certain. At the rate you're going, you're going to end up with your beloved grandfather. Jujutsu sorcerers never die without regret. I'll ask you once more. Why have you come here to Jujutsu Tech?" He asked the teen again.
The toy was up in the air, ready to throw a punch at Yuji.
'I was always better than most in sports and in fights. But never once did I think, "This is something only I can do.'He thought.
Once the doll threw the punch, the teen dodged and tackled it to the ground, rolling a few times and putting the green plush in a choke hold.
"Consuming Sukuna is something only I can do. If I manage to escape my death sentence and run away from this responsibility, I'd be there eating food, taking a bath, or reading manga, and the moment I stopped to think, I'd go, "Oh, I bet someone's dying because of Sukuna right now," and become depressed. "That doesn't evolve me." "It's not my fault." You expect me to just tell myself that? I refuse to do that. I don't know how I'll feel when I'm dying, but I don't want to regret the way I lived!" He finished.
Yaga turned, "Satoru. Show him to the dorm. Explain the security and everything else to him, too."
"Huh?"
The male then turned to the boy, "You pass. Welcome to Jujutsu Tech."
Just then the doll got out of his hold, spinning and then punching Yuji on the cheek.
"Oh, sorry. I forgot to release the curse."
...….
"This place is huge!" Yuji said and proceeded to look around the room.
"All the second- and third-years are out at the moment. But you'll met them soon enough. There aren't many of them. But there's really no reason for you to fight, too, is there? Fushiguro and I could retrieve Sukuna's fingers." Gojo said.
"It's fine! I said I'd do it, and I'm doing it! Though lazing around... while Fushiguro came in all beaten up to bring me a finger would be a funny sight."
"That's true. Well, I know there's no way in hell you're not gonna fight."
"Hey! You were testing me?!"
Gojo put up his pointer to quieten Yuji and got closer to him, "If there were that easy to find, we would've found them all already. Some have a presence that's overwhelming. Some keep very quiet. Some have already been absorbed by a cursed spirits. There's nothing more troublesome when it comes to the searching for them. But now we have you." He said pointing at him, "The Sukuna within you will tell us where the fingers are to try to regain his power. You're both vessel and locator, our very own radar. So we won't get anywhere without you in the field."
"You think he's going to be that nice?" Yuji asked. "Also what about my Mom? What does Jujutsu Tech want with her?"
"Oh that, she has a very rare technique that hasn't been around and wants it in their radar." Gojo answered.
'Oh, that's how they're thinking.' Yuji thought, nodding.
Gojo walks out the room, "I think we can come to a win-win agreement there."
Just then, the door to the right of the middle room opened, only to reveal Fushiguro.
"You're next door too?"
"Oh, Fushiguro! You look like you're doing well now."
"There were plenty of other empty rooms, weren't there?"
"But isn't livelier better? I thought it'd be good for—" Gojo got cut off.
"Classes and missions are enough. This was an unwelcome favor." The dark haired male said, crossing his arms.
Yuji on the other hand looked through the door of his dorm.
"Wow, it's so organized." Yuji said.
"I just said you're unwelcome!" The black haired male proceeded to slam the door on his head.
Yuji held his injured cheek while pouting.
"Well, it's all good. More importantly, we're heading out tomorrow! We're gonna go pick up the third first-year."
"Hey, where is my mom going to stay? Is she going to bunk with me?" Yuji wonders.
"Kairi will be at the female dorm but is allowed to come over just to make sure her son is tucked in for the night." Gojo explained.
"Ah, I see" The pink haired male said, "Will Mom be coming on missions too."
"From time to time."
(Morioka Station)
"The train bound for Tokyo is now arriving. For your safety, please stand behind the yellow line." Could be heard.
"It took four hours just to get as far as Morioka. I can finally kiss that damn countryside goodbye. Guess I'll be in Tokyo by the afternoon. What should I do if I get scouted? Like, by Stardust?" Said the orange haired girl with the school uniform on, and eating a bento.
Forgot to mention last chapter. but can anyone guess the power Kairi has on her disposal, as does Yuji?
