I didn't think I'd get this much interest in a story under a short period of time. Thank you to those who found time out of your busy days to read my fanfiction, and to find it intriguing enough to read the second chapter.

I'll have the author's notes at the end. Thank you, and please enjoy.

The aftermath from the day Tartarus was compromised by an act of that was deemed as terrorism was followed by the mourning by all. Corrections officers and pro heroes alike who had tried to keep order when every cell was unlocked by the master controls within the deceased warden's office had suffered demoralizing casualties, and that wasn't even counting the hundreds of non-combatants who were violently killed by the terrorist.

Even the villains who were freed by the masked terrorist weren't spared of his wraith. Those who were incarcerated that happened to cross paths with the vile monster were quickly, and messily, slaughtered. The smart ones, who either knew they couldn't stand a chance against the person who was being labeled as 'Masked Man' snuck out in small groups; making sure to use ventilation systems and longer routes to avoid running into him altogether.

The villains who either were trying to serve their time honestly, or who were simply too afraid of the Masked Man to risk leaving, stayed put in their cells; preferring to the act of self preservation over their own freedom. However, out of the entire operation that took place to round up those who had escaped from the compromised prison, only fifteen percent of the prison's population were back in what was left of their cells.

The rest were either roaming around in the shadows, or were being mopped up off of the floor and stored into hazardous waste baskets.

While funeral arrangements and ideas to honor the memories of those whose lives were stolen from them on that very day were in the works, Musutafu's hero agencies were all called into a mass conference that was taking place that very night, at none other than at the U.A. High School's own auditorium.

The dress code called for those who were showing up to represent their respective hero group to wear formal black clothing; a common tradition that was practiced to respect those who weren't able to fill the seats left empty.

Representing his own office, Deku was accompanied by Ochako, who sat beside him so she could assist him in taking notes and to be there to add to the discussion of what steps would be needed in order to respond properly to the attack that had happened.

Due to the seniority and political recognition that Endeavor held, he had been asked to stand beside the Prime Minister of Japan to support him and to act as Musutafu's representative for the hero committee; an honor that had been last given to All Might.

Standing on the other side of Prime Minister Athrun Date, who was a handsome man who was in his late twenties, U.A. High School's adorable and intelligent, albeit questionably mentally stable, principal was the first one to speak upon being cued to begin the discussion after everyone who was supposed to attend the meeting had been accounted for.

"… Good evening everyone; thank you all for attending this incredibly vital conference," Nezu said with a solemn tone into the microphone presented in front of him. "While it comforts me to see all of you here, it also pains me to no end to see the vast amount of seats that are… That are… E-Excuse me…" Nezu said with a shudder in his voice, before suddenly averting his gaze to his shoulder to cover his weeping eyes from those who were there to seek guidance from him.

Even though he had lost staff members and fellow heroes who he had known extremely well before in the past, the sheer amount of deaths that day made itself clear to him for the second time that day, and all it took to bring the small creature towards the brink of another breakdown was the sight of all those empty seats belonging to those who had their lives stolen from them in a horrific way.

Hearing the faint sounds of those in the audience who were trying to silence their own sobbing, Nezu reached his shaky little paw into the suit pocket of his black blazer to pull out a small handkerchief to wipe away his tears. Taking one last glance at the depressingly small number of heroes who were left alive out in the hollow auditorium, Nezu let out a trembling breath of air before collecting himself once more.

"… I apologize for that; you'll have to forgive my emotions getting the best of me. Those… Those who aren't with us today, a lot of them… A lot of them were my students, who grew with me since the start of my own career," Nezu explained himself while still silently weeping as he did his best to keep his eyes focused on the large microphone in front of him.

"With that being said… The reason we are all gathered today is not to accept this as a defeat; we're here today to show whoever was behind this afternoon's terrorist attack that we won't let this happen twice," Nezu said with a shifting change of voice, one that was less sad and more vengeful.

According to the quiet talk amongst them, along with the body language coming from several heroes and sidekicks within his vision, Deku could see that everyone in the audience seemed to be craving retribution more so than trying to rebuild what was lost.

A craving that he himself had.

"We've already ruled out the possibility of this terrorist act being carried out by the likes of the Paranormal Liberation Front, and the remnants of any group we've engaged in the past," Nezu spoke in a more calculative and strategic tone of voice, as he quietly took out his tablet to navigate through the slideshow he was remotely broadcasting onto the large screen above the stage.

Having anticipated someone from the audience wanting to question his very controversial deduction, the little intelligent creature took a moment to stare out into the audience. Using his heightened senses to look past the microphone, it was then that Nezu saw none other than Momo Yaoyorozu's raised hand, who was representing the hero agency she and Shoto Todoroki operated together. With a pen in her hand and a notebook in the other, Momo kept her arm raised up high until finally catching her old principal's attention.

"Yes Ms. Yaoyorozu? I suspect that there's something you'd like to add to this discussion?" Nezu asked respectfully.

"Mr. Nezu, wouldn't it be presumptuous and dangerous to rule out the Paranormal Liberation Front for possibly having a hand in this?" Momo asked more so as a statement than a genuine question. "Shigaraki has-"

"-Tenko. It's Tenko Shimura now, Ms. Yaoyorozu," Nezu corrected with a somewhat skeptical look on his own face; as if he himself wasn't one hundred convinced of his own correction. "Shigaraki is his old name; he's accordingly been reformed, and has been shown improving both mentally and morally."

Before Momo could find the words to respectfully argue against the credibility of the aforementioned man's 'good behavior' reports from Tartarus' prison administrative health, someone else in the audience who she knew all too well had a choice word to say in light of Nezu's statement.

"… Bullshit," Bakugou Katsuki spat out without any regard for maintaining respect amongst his peers and superiors. Representing Endeavor's agency while the hero himself was preoccupied with being on stage, Bakugou was renowned for taking dangerous missions that involved combating villains head on, and the only reason why no one yet condemned the hot-headed young man for speaking out loud with such vulgarity was due to how respected he was within the hero community.

And as for Endeavor, he chose to remain silent and vigilant, due to him wanting to see how his potential successor would stand out amongst the crowd of those he saw as nothing more than cowardly sheep.

"Ah, Mr. Katsuki; I was wondering when you would interject…" Nezu said with a disappointing tone in his voice, yet the principal could understand and empathize with Bakugou's pessimism.

Without missing a beat, or allowing Nezu nor Momo to get a chance to continue their discussion, Bakugou spoke quickly of his opinion. "There's no way that piece of shit is any better than the day Midoriya finally kicked his ass!"

"Mr. Katsuki, I'd remind you that this not the time and place for-"

"-The Hell it isn't!" Bakugou quickly interrupted, with passion and rage in his voice that did more than reflect the inner thoughts of those around him who were too modest to speak like he did. "This is supposed to be a discussion, right?! As in, we have a say in what we think is best?!"

Taking a moment to collect himself and prevent himself from matching the young blonde's aggression, Nezu let out a calming sigh before replying, "… Why, yes Mr. Katsuki; that's literally what the point of a discussion is."

"Alright then, here's what I think we should do," Bakugou announced, while standing up from his seat to further emphasize just how serious he was when he finally revealed his idea. "Shigaraki, or what the hell he wants to go by, needs to be held accountable for his actions, and we CANNOT have this shit happen again… So I'm just going to say it, because fuck it."

"Language, Mr. Katsuki! I won't ask you again to correct yourself, and to get a hold of your temper," Nezu finally said, as he put his small foot down after having put up with enough of Bakugou's disrespectful language. "If I have to ask you again, I'll have you escorted out of the premises."

Biting back his tongue, which was extremely difficult for the passionate man to do, especially since he had watched more than enough of his fellow sidekicks dying in a pool of their own blood; all of which suffered greatly.

"… Shigaraki has caused enough damage already, and has been shown more mercy than he's ever given those he's killed… We don't know if he's responsible for what happened today, but we don't know if he's not responsible for it either; his history is more than enough for all of us to assume that he wouldn't be above those murders…"

Although he already knew where Bakugou was heading, a part of him knew that he wasn't the only one who suspected what the young man was trying to get at. Still, Nezu asked the question he already knew the answer to. "And do tell Mr. Katsuki; what are you suggesting?"

"… I'm suggesting that we don't risk any more lives by keeping him alive. I… I think we all can agree that it's about time he pays for the wrong he's done," Bakugou finally spoke out loud for all else to hear him, while finding himself suddenly sobering up from his fit of rage after just suggesting that he was openly okay with Shigaraki being executed.

All around him, Bakugou could feel the eyes of everyone in the auditorium staring at him; some judging him for being for the death penalty, some were silently and quietly applauding him for having the courage to speak what they figured needed to be said, and the rest were finding themselves conflicted about wanting to support his idea or not.

Not wanting to be seen as weak though, especially after he himself caught a glimpse of both the Prime Minister and Endeavor silently smirking at what he had suggested, it was then that Bakugou decided to double down on what he had just said by adding, "… And I for one will gladly volunteer to be the one who gets to put that murderer in the ground where he belongs."

Murmurs began to erupt from amongst the audience, and even outright cheering presented itself for Bakugou to hear as he took his seat in the wake of his statement. Those who were cheering for him were quickly condemned by those who were outright against the mere thought of killing, and soon what was supposed to be a civil discussion broke out into arguments; arguments that allowed those who had been keeping the trauma of that day's events to finally vent and open up about just how heartbroken they were.

"Why are we even mentioning this?! All I asked was if it was wise to rule out the Paranormal Liberation Front!"

"Because Bakugou's right, Momo! That asshole's had it too good for too long! Don't you get how many people would have still been alive today, if that bastard got a fist through his head?! Tell me, what's so manly about being too cowardly to do what we all know what should have been done YEARS ago?!"

"Eijiro (Ribbit), enough of that. You're starting to sound like a villain yourself with that kind of vindictive talk. Killing (Ribbit) Shigaraki won't bring anyone back."

"This isn't the time to be taking the high road, Tsu! Thousands of people were slaughtered by ONE person, who clearly belonged to a group of monsters who have no moral boundaries! Sounds familiar, right?! We can't afford to be toothless when this is just probably the beginning of shit hitting the fan…!"

"… As much as I'd hate to agree with what Denki said, I think he's right. If this possibly could be a resurgence of the Paranormal Liberation Front, or anything similar, then keeping the one person who's most likely behind it alive wouldn't be wise on our part."

"You too, Kyoka?! Y-You actually think it's okay to do something so… So barbaric?!"

"I understand your reluctance Mina, but Bakugou has a point that makes logical sense. If we can eliminate one possibility of who could possibly behind Tartarus being attacked, as well as that little community center lab, then I believe it's safe to say that making an exception this time would outweigh the… Moral dilemma that we're all facing now."

"Moral dilemma…?! Tenya, that's straight up murder! We'd be no better than the vile man who did those horrible acts today!"

"Don't you ever think about EVER comparing us to that Masked Bastard again, Toru! That's not very manly of you…!"

"Don't DARE talk to her like that, you red headed piece of-"

Before the heated argument could escalate any further, it was then that Endeavour decided to step in. While Nezu was too busy trying to control the crowds with the use of his words, Endeavor decided to allow the sheer power of his quirk to speak for him. Using his precision and just a tiny fraction of his quirk's power, Endeavor created a controlled explosion in the center of the auditorium that was loud enough to take everyone in the audience back from just how sudden it was.

With everyone's attention focused on him, Endeavor remained calm and composed as he turned on his microphone. "Save the philosophical debates for after this conference; we're here to discuss being faced with a war that's just over the horizon, and this isn't the time to show weakness on our end," Endeavor spoke out in a serious tone; while making sure to take notice of just how many grim faces were revealed to him after the mere mention of the word 'war'.

"… To circle back to what my son's girlfriend mentioned, about how we shouldn't rule out Shigaraki being behind this as some sort of mastermind…" Endeavor said with a frown on his face, before reaching over to Nezu's podium to grab a hold of his own tablet; his tablet that he used to show several images of the gruesome state that emergency responders found Shigaraki in.

"… Judging by the fact that his body was mutilated and there's a giant hole in the middle of his stomach, I think it's safe to assume by just these images alone, that the Masked Man wasn't there to rescue him," Endeavor said with a slight bit of sarcasm in his voice, as he silently took a bit of joy from the fact that he knew what he was showing was making a majority of the audience uncomfortable.

"Don't like what you see? Even if this is what some of you wanted this to happen to this guy?" Endeavor asked with a mocking smirk across his glowing face, as he finally saw his chance to voice himself and what he thought about the next generation of supposed heroes who were going to take the place of him and his colleagues.

"Enough of trying to live out some sort of delusional dreams that your lives will be like a comic book, where everything in the world will work out for you, and that you just remain a pacifist in order to truly be 'good'. From this point forward, any fantasies that were the reasons why you wanted to become a pro hero in the first place will be put on hold if you want to remain alive…" Endeavor said in a stern voice, while taking a moment to glare at the shocked expression on Deku's face, before turning his attention to those in the audience who he deemed as weak.

"In times of war, soldiers are needed, not those who want to pretend to play the role of a fictional hero. Those of you who joined this life for the sake of wanting to live a life of luxury, early retirement, or fame are in for a world of Hell if you think that you can afford to show mercy to this enemy! Because I guarantee you, who you're facing is a hell of a lot more brutal and scary than anything any of you soft spoiled brats have ever had to face before today!"

Beginning to sound more like a military officer than the professional hero that he was known to be, the audience presented before him were now uncomfortably silent in their seats and remained that way until Momo once again raised her arm up as calmly as she could muster to do so.

"Speak, Momo," was all Endeavor had to say to his potential daughter-in-law, as he crossed his arms over his black blazer and dress shirt.

Having the most liberty amongst her group of peers to speak freely and openly to Endeavor, Momo felt confident enough to ask the questions that she, and everyone else, had been wondering since having to see the gruesome images just moments ago.

"Enji," Momo addressed, while showcasing to others inadvertently just how close she was with the legendary fire-hero who didn't even seem phased from her calling him by his first name. "Shigaraki, is he…?"

"Dead?" Endeavor asked knowingly, as though he had suspected that someone as factual and to the point as Momo was would struggle to bring herself to ask such a question. "Unfortunately, no; he's in critical condition, and is currently undergoing reconstruction surgery as we speak."

'Wait… Wait, that… That can't be right,' Deku thought to himself suddenly, after being told that Shigaraki was still alive. 'All for One… That quirk should have allowed him to regenerate if he didn't actually die from those wounds. I saw what that vile thing did to that one blue-haired guy who healed really fast, which means Shigaraki should have been able to heal as well… And how did he even get hit? He should have been able to reflect that thing's tendrils, unless… Unless that monster was able to nullify other's quirks with its tendrils; similar to having the ability to penetrate any defenses… Which means that thing must have managed to take All for One away from Shigaraki…! Oh God… I wonder why it didn't do the same to me…? Maybe it was going to, but I stopped it just in time…? Or perhaps-'

"-So what you're saying is that because of the severity of the attack, as well as the fact that it's clear as day that the Masked Man stole All for One from Shigaraki, is that we don't really have any reason to believe the Paranormal Liberation Front would be behind this, because it wouldn't make sense for them to do any of this to themselves?" Ochako reasoned out loud for everyone to hear, as she stood up from beside her fiancé to allow Endeavor to focus on what she had said.

Caught off guard, yet extremely impressed, Deku was surprised to see that not only did Ochako speak up to Endeavor after he had clearly tried intimidating all of them with the severity of the crisis they were facing, but Deku was proud of her for coming to the same conclusion that he was heading towards, with the only exception being that she vocalized it and must have thought about it faster than he did.

'Huh… Maybe a part of me is rubbing off on her?' Deku thought somewhat amusingly to himself, despite the fact that the tension in the air and the subject they were discussing was anything but amusing. 'Who am I kidding? She's always been that way.'

"… You would be correct," Endeavor said with a bit of disdain in his gruff voice; clearly sour over the fact that the significant other of All Might's living legacy had figured out the findings before he had a chance to present them to everyone.

"Thank you, Endeavor, but I also wanted to add one more observation that I made from seeing that… Image of him," Ochako followed up, while shuddering at the recent memory of Shigaraki's shredded arms and body being played out across a pile of debris. "… While some of us might speculate that the Masked Man managed to take away Shigaraki's quirk, All for One, I don't believe that to be the case."

"… You'd also be correct in your findings, Uravity," Endeavor replied back with a begrudged sense of being impressed by the young woman's detective-like skills. "It's true; through careful examination and a series of medical tests that were conducted by Tartarus' medical staff, it was determined that Shigaraki still possesses All for One… Albeit, it was severely, well… Weakened."

"That makes sense, because if he didn't have access to a quirk that allowed him to heal, then there would have been no way for him to recover from those sorts of fatal injuries," Ochako said out loud with furrowed brows, before finally finishing her deduction by saying, "That's why we know that the Paranormal Liberation Front isn't to blame; All for One was their greatest asset, so it wouldn't make sense for them to not only risk killing its user, but to cause damage to the quirk itself."

'… Holy crap; she figured that all by herself?!' Deku thought to himself with a proud smile forming over his lips, as he gazed at his fiancé with a look of enthrallment and admiration that went beyond what he already felt for her.

While Ochako was quietly being congratulated for her being able to figure that out on her own, Momo was beginning to grow frustrated over the fact that she was repeatedly being interrupted.

"… Like I was about to ask," Momo announced in a loud and passive aggressive tone, as she stood up from her chair to have the attention drawn back to herself. "The enemy, the ones who you are to supposedly blame for today's atrocities… If they aren't part of the Paranormal Liberation Front, then who are they exactly? Or rather, do we even know what they are?"

Before Endeavor could open his mouth to speak, it was then that the Prime Minister, Athrun Date, finally took his turn to speak. "If it's all the same with you Mr. Todoroki, I'd like to discuss this section of our conference myself."

While it was clear that Endeavor wasn't too enthralled by allowing someone else to speak of the matter other than himself, the fiery headed man held Athrun in high regard, and didn't dare to disrespect his family name by not abiding by what the Prime Minister of Japan himself wanted.

"Please; I insist that you do, Prime Minister," Endeavor said with a respectable bow, and felt honored after being bowed back by such a powerful political figure as the one who was returning the respectful gesture back to him.

"Thank you," Athrun said in a polite and deep voice, before leaning back up to straighten his back, so that he could turn around and address the crowd. "I'd like to reassure all of you who are feeling uncertain about the future of this day that not all is lost, and this shall not mark the day that hope dies; not under my watch will that ever happen, rest assured."

Unlike the intimidating way that Endeavor spoke, and the soft and somewhat passive way Nezu was speaking, everything that came out of the Prime Minister's mouth was comforting, yet didn't give anyone the idea that he wasn't unsure of himself. Charismatic, clear in the way he spoke, Athrun Date's presence alone seemingly demanded the respect and compliance of everyone in that auditorium; and everyone in there seemed more than eager to give it to him.

"I wish not to understate anything Mr. Todoroki had said in regards to the enemy we are facing; they've existed for over a decade, and have been known for committing atrocities and acts of brutality for the sake of demoralizing those who stand for all that is descent, and for those who strive to stand for what's right…"

"… With that being said, I am here today to make you a promise, as the Gods as my witness, that they shall not defeat us, nor shall they get away with the sins they've committed on this day…" Athrun announced in a righteous voice, that reflected that fact that he wanted to fight for a just cause, and not for mere vengeance like the other two men upstage with him.

"Our enemy is a a group of terrorists that originated from Kyoto back in the day; they're known as 'God Eater', and I've dedicated my career in perusing their utter and complete annihilation. The hero agencies at Kyoto had destroyed their last chapter, but never captured their leader. The leader goes by 'Fenrir', and we only know of their existence through what little intel we could get through our investigations… Needless to say, little is known about Fenrir, other than they lead God Eater, and they have a very, very destructive quirk…"

Upon hearing just how elusive any and all information was about Fenrir, it was then that Deku spotted a figurative red flag amongst the words being spoken by the Prime Minister.

'He doesn't seem to know a lot about them, but only enough to know that Fenrir possesses a destructive quirk… How vague. I can only assume that the little known identity means that Kyoto's hero agencies had only heard that information from word of mouth; quite possibly from interrogating God Eater's captured members…'

'… Which means that if they only know that Fenrir's quirk is capable of causing damage that the Prime Minister didn't quite go into detail about, that must mean… That must mean that no one from his side, nor Kyoto's hero agencies, have ever lived to document it… Which means there's been no one who's ever survived an encounter with them, and lived to tell the tale.'

While Deku shuddered at the thought of having to face an enemy that he had absolutely no knowledge of what they were exactly capable of, he did his best to push down the worrying thoughts into the corner of his mind for the time being, and instead chose to focus on what else the Prime Minister wanted to share with him and the rest of Mustafu's remaining heroes.

"-I don't want any of you to feel as though you'll be alone against God Eater. The intelligence committee I've been working with has calculated that this is where Fenrir will attempt to rebuild their forces; which explains why God Eater were the ones to raid the prison, because they need to resupply their numbers, as well as demoralize this city's law-abiding inhabitants…" The Prime Minister said with an aura of confidence inhabiting the very words he spoke, before shifting his finger tip across the screen of his tablet to present the next slide.

"… To those who are employed by any of Endeavor's agencies, you'll be working alongside the reinforcements I'll be sending in that will be composed of hand selected heroes and those from anti-terrorist special forces backgrounds. Thanks to a recent breakthrough made by Endeavor's technology development corporation, 'Firestar', they, along with those underneath his employment, shall be the first to be given access to tech that will drastically improve your combative prowess, as well as significantly improving your chance of survival."

Taking a moment to turn away from the audience to gaze upon the concept art and simplified blueprints broadcasted on the giant screen above, Athrun couldn't help but to smile to himself again, especially after hearing the quiet sounds of astonishment coming from the audience behind him.

"Take notice of the concept art of our first prototype weapon to made," Athrun instructed to those behind him, while raising a hand to point his finger at what merely looked to be a jet-black nail gun with futuristic glowing red lights shining along the handle, just above what appeared to be a bright-yellow battery attached to the bottom.

"The prototype model will be given out to a select sidekick of Endeavor's choosing before more are made and distributed, and even more of you shall receive your own 'Quirk-Gear', or 'Q-Gear' for short, that's tailored to your abilities as we develop more unique models," Athrun announced with a hint of zealous pride in his voice, while Deku and Ochako couldn't help but to exchange worried glances with one another, after hearing the ominous name given to the concept weapon.

"Sleek, made up of an alloy that weighs less than plastic and is two-hundred times more durable than steel itself, the BARBATOS line of Q-Gear shall be the first of its kind to be used in our war against God Eater, and will be hopefully be replacing the standard firearms that law enforcement carries on their person," Athrun explained briefly, before turning around to once again address his captive audience members; all of which who were both intrigued and worried about the capabilities of the brand new weapon of its own kind.

"Due to security, that's as far as I'll explain about the technical side of Q-Gear, and the future of it here in Musutafu. However, one last thing I will say about this new technology is this," Athrun said with a pause, before suddenly shifting his gaze directly at Deku's emerald green eyes.

"… Place your trust and support into my dream, my vision, and I can promise you all that in the near future that anyone, and I mean anyone, will be able to become a hero, and will be able to protect all that is good; just like, if not better, than their childhood idols once did," Athrun said with a glare that sent a shiver down Deku's back, and set his heart pounding.

'How…?! D-Does… How did he know that I…?! I-I haven't asked that question in so long… That's not… Something's not right with that guy,' Deku thought frantically to himself, despite the fact that the more logical side of his mind was trying to reason that everything from the way the Prime Minister looked at him, to the way he mentioned the very question that plagued Deku's childhood, was all just a mere coincidence. 'I… I don't think… Maybe I'm just overthinking it… It's been a long day after all.'

The moment the Prime Minister looked away from Deku's confused gaze to address the audience one last time, the young green-haired man felt a sudden weight being lifted off of his shoulders, and soon he found himself letting out a sigh as he sank into his seat.

"Thank you again to all of you who were able to make it, and let us remember to keep those who weren't able to make it here tonight in our thoughts and prayers. And to those who weren't able to come here tonight, due to them having the night watch, you and then will all be receiving packages sent to your respective agencies that will contain an overview of what we've discussed here tonight, as well as guidance on the next steps for you all to take…"

"And to those of you who are managing their own private hero agency… Endeavor will be staying after the conference to answer any questions you might have, as well as providing you with information on how you could merge your own agency into his; as to acquire financial assistance along with access to manpower and reviving your own shipment of Q-Gear…"

"… It's an option I recommend doing, but a more valuable option to keep kind in mind that I personally recommend doing is to consider signing on directly to work under one of Endeavor's agencies, as to be qualified for higher pay and benefits that you won't be able to have otherwise," Athrun said in a very supportive and reasonable tone, as if though to tell everyone that they would be fools to not sign away their careers and lives to the man he clearly had put so much trust in.

"Nezu and I shall be retiring for the night, but I do hope that you and I all shall speak to one another in the near future, and under… More favorable circumstances," the Prime Minister said with a solemn look on his face, before taking a moment for everyone to catch on that he was finished sharing what he wanted to talk about with them. "… Get home safely, and don't be afraid; in the end, you and I will both be victorious… With the exception of Mr. Katsuki, all of you are dismissed; thank you for your time."

Thank you for reading to the end of this chapter!

As some of you might have guessed, this fanfiction was inspired by several other sources of franchises; most prominent (obvious) being Tokyo Ghoul.

Other inspirations (polite word for ripping off) I took were from Code Vein, Fallout New Vegas, and well, that's all I can think of to be honest. I want to let you all know right now that the name 'God Eater' was not taken from the franchise, 'God Eater'; or at least, not knowingly lol.

Shout out to Axlexington for being the first person to surprise me, but leaving a review as well as following and favoring the story upon the first day I posted it.

If any of you have any recommendations, ideas, or even OCs you'd like to see implemented, feel free to reach out and suggest whatever it is you think would improve the story; I'm always open towards suggestions.

Thank you, and have a good rest of your day.
