ZAFT: Where is Takuya, Andy?

DarkFoxKit: I think Takuya was outside somewhere?

Andy: What about him? Why would you think I would know where that fire head is?

ZAFT: I haven't seen him since the last time we updated. ^^'

Takuya: *Comes in from the snow* It's cold outside… *Shivers*

Andy: You don't say? Why were you out there in the snow?

Takuya: I saw Danny out there, having fun.

Andy: He's an ice core ghost, the cold doesn't bother him. Us on the other hand, snow is evil.

ZAFT: Takuya can just melt the snow… ^^' He is the Warrior of Flame…

DarkFoxKit: *Gaaaaaaaasp* Don't you dare! Do you know how rare it is for me to see snow? If you melt it early, I will stuff you in never melting ice myself!

Takuya: Hey! Calm down! I wouldn't do that! I'm human right now! I can't melt ice as a human!

DarkFoxKit: Good~

ZAFT: Okay, time for the leash! *Slaps a leash on Takuya* No more wandering off before we are done! And on to the chapter!

Chapter 3: To Be a Halfa

Andy let out a gasp as he jolted up from his bed. What the? Oh gosh… was that a dream?

Andy looked at the side of his bed, seeing Dorumon's egg was still there. He looked at Danny's bed, seeing he was asleep with Patamon at the foot of his bed. Everything seemed to be normal enough. Andy rubbed his head.

Did it actually happen? The accident? Or was that only a dream? It felt… way too real to be a dream though, way too painful too… Andy frowned, trying to figure the situation out.

Then Danny's body turned intangible and he started sinking under his bed. Alarmed by this, Andy quickly grabbed onto Danny's arm when it became solid again and pulled Danny up back onto his bed.

Okay… I guess the accident did happen. Without his memories, Danny can't remember how to control his powers. This is really troublesome… Andy frowned.

Andy then noticed something else, the room appeared to be getting bigger. He furrowed his eyebrows in confusion, wondering if a ghost or a Digimon was responsible for this oddity, until he looked down, seeing his legs were sinking into the ground. Andy's eyes went wide in shock. "What the-!?"

Andy tried grabbing onto something solid, but his hands were intangible as well, he couldn't grab anything. Andy gave a shocked yelp as he sank into the floor and fell into another room.

By the time Andy's body became solid again, he landed on another bed… on top of another person.

"OW!" A familiar voice yelped. "Owww…"

After Andy landed on someone, he bounced off of them and hit the floor with a THUD. "Oof!"

The person sat up, rubbing their head with a groan before they gasped. "Andy?! What the heck are you doing down here?!"

"... Our floor became a sinkhole…" Andy grumbled.

The person got off of their bed and walked over beside Andy. "Geez… I didn't think you'd sink through your own floor." The person said as he helped Andy to his feet, revealing it was Takuya who was speaking.

Andy's hand went intangible suddenly, making his hand go through Takuya's, and this caused Andy to lose his balance and fall on his butt.

"And I think the accident gave you ghost powers as well…" Takuya added sheepishly.

"Don't be silly," Andy said as he stood up on his own, dusting himself off. "You were probably still groggy and dropped me."

Takuya was about to say something to that when Andy said something else. "How long was I out?"

"Um… quite a while." Takuya replied. "About an hour or two… I lost track of how long to be honest. I was kinda waiting for you to wake up and I fell asleep myself…" He rubbed the back of his head sheepishly.

"What? Dude! Why didn't you check me for radiation or ectoplasmic poisoning? Why am I not in a hospital right now? That accident could've killed me! Could be still slowly killing me!" Andy pointed out.

"Andy, calm down!" Takuya exclaimed, but he didn't try to grab Andy again in case the boy turned intangible again. "You're fine right now. You seem to be okay, if not a bit cold, but you're not showing any signs of radiation or ectoplasmic poisoning."

"I was just electrocuted by electricity and a massive amount of ectoplasm," Andy said before he suddenly wore glasses and had papers in his hands. "According to my parents, ecotplasm doesn't mix well with human blood."

"Where the heck did you get those glasses and papers?" Takuya questioned. "And what about Danny? He's had ectoplasm mixed with his blood, didn't he? You did that whole blood test with him, remember?"

"He's a special case, I still can't really figure out how his body was able to fuse with the ectoplasm," Andy replied. "Could be genetics, but I don't know enough to really say that either way. By the way, I saw these sitting on your desk."

"Andy… I don't wear glasses." Takuya said with a deadpan look.

"Maybe Lopmon left then, Jazz wears reading glasses just like these," Andy shrugged before taking off the glasses. "But that doesn't change my point. If I have all of that ectoplasm in me then…"

Andy paled suddenly. "Oh gosh, I'm going to die soon!"

Takuya put his hands on Andy's shoulders, ghost powers or no ghost powers. "Andy, stop it! Think logically for a moment! You're not going to die! No one will let you die! Just calm down, please!"

Suddenly, Takuya couldn't see Andy anymore. He could still feel Andy's shoulders in his hands, but he couldn't see Andy himself. Andy had just gone invisible, likely unintentionally.

"Andy… you just went invisible…" Takuya muttered to his cousin as he put a hand to his face while keeping his other hand on Andy's shoulders still.

"Side effects…" Andy muttered, still invisible. "These must be side effects from all that ectoplasm…"

"Just… try to calm down, okay?" Takuya sighed. "It may help you return to visibility."

"How are you not more bothered by this?" Andy frowned. "I mean you were fearful of Danny, why aren't you more worried about me being- about me having these stupid ghostly side effects?"

"Andy… I learned my lesson from being fearful of Danny. I know he is a ghostly kid, but he is still Danny, just as you are still you, powers or not." Takuya replied as he looked up at the still invisible Andy, relying on his sense of Andy's shoulder under his free hand to tell where Andy's face was.

"... Am I still invisible?" Andy frowned.

"Yes… you are…" Takuya sighed.

"Ugh! This is so stupid! I shouldn't have to deal with this!" Andy complained, having lost his temper.

Takuya felt Andy slapping his hands away from his shoulder. Andy was likely pacing now, not that Takuya was sure, but he did hear slightly silent footsteps moving around.

"I can't control these damn symptoms! What if I'm stuck invisible forever? Or until I drop dead? I shouldn't have gone into that portal in the first place! Of all the things my future sight could show me, why didn't it show me Danny walking in that blasted portal behind me!?" Andy griped as he was pacing, still invisible.

"Can you control your future sight?" Takuya asked, raising an eyebrow. "Because I thought it struck you when you least expect it."

"Sort of? I'm able to see the future if I focus on it, but not all the time," Andy answered. "Not that it really helps me now… unless there's some kind of cure for all the ectoplasm in my body."

Then Andy stopped pacing, his body suddenly being visible again, which surprised Takuya because he didn't know Andy was so close to him. "Wait, that's it! The Fenton Ghost Catcher! That could remove all the ectoplasm in my body, couldn't it?"

Takuya jumped back in surprise at Andy being so close to his face. "Wah! Andy, don't get so close to me!" He exclaimed before noticing Andy's left eye was twitching a bit. "Um… Andy, calm down, please…"

"But we don't know where Mom and Dad put the Ghost Catcher!" Andy frowned. "How are we going to find it in all that mess? I don't even know if I have time to look for it!"

Takuya could feel the ghostly energy in Andy starting to rise more riled up Andy was. And soon, Andy's hands were glowing green.

"Did it just get brighter in here?" Andy asked.

"Andy… please, really, calm down!" Takuya exclaimed. "Your hands are glowing with ecto-energy, literally!" I hope I don't have to smack Andy to get him to calm down...

Andy looked down at his hands, and he gave a scream as he waved his hands around in a panic. Trying to get Andy to calm down, Takuya reached out and grabbed onto Andy's wrists to try to keep him from moving. "Put it out! Put it out!"

Finally, Takuya's hand flew at Andy's face before a loud SMACK was heard. Andy's head whipped to the side before looking back at Takuya. "Andy… calm down… Now." Takuya said sternly.

The glowing in Andy's hands dissipated after the smack. Andy frowned. "What… the hell was that for!?"

"You were freaking out, which was making the ghostly energy react even more." Takuya replied. "If you had kept freaking out, things could have gotten worse."

"You see why I need to get rid of this ghost… sickness?" Andy hissed, more angry than freaked out now.

The anger caused Andy's eyes to flash an eerie purple glow.

Takuya backed up from Andy. "Andy… really, just take a deep breath and calm down! You're freaking out my Spirits, literally!"

Andy shut his eyes for a moment, likely to try to calm himself down. "Sorry, I just… It's hard for me not to panic right now. This shouldn't be happening, not to me…"

"Well, it did." Takuya sighed, feeling his Spirits calming down now. "I know it's scary, but you're not alone in this. Danny is going to be with you through this. And I will as well… err… well, to the best of my abilities since I am not half ghost, but you get the point."

Andy's eyes flew open, though they weren't glowing anymore, it didn't ease Takuya's worries when Andy looked at him again. "Half ghost? Who said I'm half ghost? I'm not half ghost! That's only Vlad and Danny!"

Takuya sighed. "Andy, don't make me smack you again. Just… Okay… look… this…" Takuya ran a hand through his hair. Geez… how can I get through to Andy to get him to calm down? He's going to panic again if I don't do or say something…

"Besides…" Andy said in a calmer tone. "Danny doesn't remember being half ghost. I probably know more about half ghosts than he does right now."

Takuya perked up, an idea crossing his mind. "Well, that's true. We probably need to focus on the issue of fixing everything with Desiree first. Then we can worry about your… ghost sickness."

"Wait… Desiree… what if we wish the ghost sickness away? If she could give Tucker ghost powers, she can take away my ghost sickness, right?" Andy suggested.

Takuya smacked his own face with his hand this time. "Ugh… Now's not the time, Andy! We need to fix everyone's memories first…"

"Then why not wish for everyone's memories to be the way they were before? That should solve it, right?" Andy grumbled.

Takuya blinked, that never actually crossed his mind.

"Actually… That may not be a bad idea…" Takuya murmured as he looked down in thought. "Of course, we'll have to face Desiree… and word our wish very, very carefully…"

"How about you just open the window and shout I WI-" Takuyed quickly covered Andy's mouth.

"Please don't, we need a plan before we do something like that," Takuya hissed.

Andy pulled Takuya's hands off of his mouth. "Fine then, just know that I have limited time before my organs shut down from the ectoplasm."

Takuya sighed. "Okay, believe that if you want…" He said as he shook his head. "But that may not be the case. Just… keep an open mind okay?"

"Would you?" Andy asked. "Would you be so willing to 'keep an open mind' if you suddenly became something you feared?"

Takuay groaned. "Just… never mind…" He sighed. "I'm just not in the mood to argue about this right now. Not after you landed on me after sinking through the floor of your and Danny's room."

"Well, get ready for that all night," Andy replied. "Oh, and if I do land on you again, think of that as payback for the smack."

With that said, Andy walked over to Takuya's door, wanting to open it, only for his hands to go intangible. Andy couldn't grab onto the doorknob. Glaring at his hands, and a little fed up, Andy grabbed the doorknob with his teeth, turned it with his head, then kicked open the door, before storming out of Takuya's room.

Takuya groaned. "Ugh… I may just sleep in the living room tonight…" He muttered to himself.

As Andy was walking towards the stairs, he thought he heard what sounded like a gentle tone, though there weren't actually any words. Blinking, Andy turned his head to try to see where it was coming from. He noticed it sounded louder from the kitchen.

Wait a minute, didn't Danny say that he could hear the Ghost Zone at around this time sometimes? Andy paled at the implication.

Andy quickly covered his ears. "La, la, la, I don't hear anything! I'm just a human! La! La! La!"

Andy rushed up the stairs, only to trip because his foot turned intangible and fell to the floor with a THUD. Please tell me I'm still in Sakkakumon right now… this is getting really, really troublesome!

Footsteps could be heard coming towards Andy and two arms helped him to his feet. "Where were you, bro?" Danny's voice asked as he helped Andy up.

"Strangling myself," Andy replied.

"What?" Danny frowned.

"Dark humor," Andy sighed. "I was talking to Takuya. If you see a handmark on my face, he slapped me."

Danny blinked. "Why would Takuya smack you? And how did you get down to his room in the first place? Err… what handmark? I don't see anything on your face."

Andy furrowed his eyebrows. Nope, not gonna question it, not gonna speculate. "I… fell into Takuya's room… wait, why are you up?"

"I saw you were gone, and I… woke up to feel this… odd calling, like a tone of some kind calling to me…" Danny admitted.

"Uh, yeah, no, we're not going to heed that, let's just go back to bed, ignore anything weird you hear, and sleep," Andy quickly instructed. "Sounds good? Great, let's go."

Andy pushed Danny to their room. Hmm… he's not as cold as I thought he'd be as a halfa again. Must take time for his body temperature to fall.

Danny blinked. "Andy, are you okay? You're kinda freaked out right now." He noted as Andy was pushing him to their shared room.

As soon as they were in their room, he shut the door behind them, hoping to shut that Ghost Zone up. "Of course I'm freaked out, alright? My brother's a ghost, I'm suffering some kind of ghost disease, the accident was really freaking painful, I wasn't supposed to be in it, everything's just messed up, and I feel like I'm losing control of the situation!"

Danny looked back at Andy. "Andy, calm down. You panicking will only make the situation worse. And… Um… are you invisible or something? I can't see you." Sure enough, Andy was no longer visible to Danny.

SON OF A- Andy managed to force his body to be visible again, while he had limited knowledge on halfas, he knew enough to cancel out invisibility… not that he was thinking of that when he was with Takuya earlier. "I'm…. calm."

Danny chuckled at Andy's attitude. "You really need to get a handle on your powers, bro."

Andy pointed at Danny. "Says the boy who's currently sinking into the ground as if it was made of quicksand."

Danny looked and and yelped in surprise before he grabbed his bedpost and pulled himself out of the floor and onto his bed. "Okay, that was close…"

Andy squeezed the bridge of his nose. "How on Earth did you manage to hide this from me for a month and 3 weeks after the first accident? You can't even keep your ghost powers from acting up for 5 minutes."

"It's not like I remember how these powers work…" Danny admitted with a grumble.

Andy noticed he started sinking again too, and he grabbed onto the doorknob that was behind him to keep from falling through the floor again. "Well, looks like I'm going to have to dig out my notes to help you out with that…"

"Me? What about you?" Danny pointed out, seeing Andy holding onto the doorknob.

"I just have annoying ghostly symptoms from the accident, it's not the same," Andy grumbled.

"Uh huh…" Danny said in a disbelieving tone. "Sure you do."

"I do!" Andy snapped before his feet and legs finally returned to being solid.

Andy then walked over to his desk, turning on the desk lamp to help him see better, and started rummaging through his journal. He knew he kept a spot for notes on how halfas worked somewhere, he needed it to help him understand Danny better and how to potentially help him in the future. I didn't think I'd be using these notes to help him with the basics of his powers though...

"Have you found anything, Andy?" Danny asked, although he wasn't visible now. "I can't see myself in the mirror. Either I'm invisible or I'm also a vampire."

Well… Vlad Plasmius looks like a vampire… didn't Danny have fangs when he was a ghost? Andy frowned. "I doubt you're a vampire, Danny. Unless you suddenly can't go out into the sunlight or have a thirst for blood, I think we're safe on that."

"Good, because I wouldn't be able to stand drinking blood." Danny's voice said as he remained by the mirror. "Any luck on finding those notes?"

"Ah, here…" Andy smiled, seeing the notes section. "Let's see… halfas are half human and half ghost, they have a core like ghosts do. Cores are what's essentially a ghost's essence, like a soul, and it's what gives them their powers. The cores are usually in the center of a ghost's body. For humanoid ghosts, the core is usually in their chest or torso area. Do you feel anything in your chest or torso, Danny? In your… uh… past 'incarnation', you told me your core usually felt pretty cold, though you had gotten used to it."

Danny's voice spoke. "Now that I think about it… I do feel something in my chest… like a cold spot. It's… weird…"

"That would likely be your core then," Andy said.

"What about you?" Danny's voice asked.

"... I don't feel anything," Andy quickly waved off, though there was a teeny cold spot in his chest, but it was too small to really be a core, right? "Moving on! The more complex and stronger the ghost, the stronger their core is. The ghost's powers react depending on the ghost's emotional state, mindset, and desires. Obsession is also a big thing that usually decides what kind of powers the ghost will have."

Andy raised an eyebrow at that. "... Do you have an Obsession, Danny?"

Danny's voice spoke up. "Um… if I'm half ghost, do I have an Obsession?"

"Right… I guess we never did think about if you even had an Obsession or not… it could be something that a ghost needs to figure out on their own, or maybe it's something that manifests over time. Or maybe it works differently for you because you're a ghost child? Does being half human affect that?" Andy questioned.

"I know about as much as you do, bro…" Danny's voice sounded deadpanned.

"Right… I should get out of my speculation mode for now and focus on the notes," Andy sighed.

"Anything on returning to visibility? I'm kinda getting creeped out by not being able to see myself in the mirror." Danny's voice asked.

"Well, let's see…" Andy turned the page. "Ghost powers… well, I didn't write down how they work exactly…"

"Why didn't you?" Danny's voice whined.

"I didn't think I would have to," Andy grumbled. "By this point, having ghost powers came second nature to you. At least the basics…"

"So I'm going to remain invisible for the rest of my life?!" Danny's voice whined. "I don't wanna remain invisible!" His footsteps could be heard as he ran towards Andy. "I wanna be visible again, bro!"

Andy wasn't sure how, but he could suddenly see the outlines of Danny being right in front of him. He grumbled in annoyance before he closed his journal, then bopped Danny's head with it.

"Ow!" Danny hissed, rubbing his head before his body returned to being visible.

"There, you're visible again," Andy said.

Danny looked himself over, seeing he was now visible again for sure. "So… will I need someone to smack me to return to visibility each time I turn invisible?"

"I know you're new to this… again, but you should know you don't need someone to smack you on the head to be visible again. You have ghost powers, learn how to use them," Andy huffed. "Try thinking about it. I said that a ghost's powers will react depending on your emotions, mindset, and desires. When you don't want someone to look at you, your body will go invisible. If you want to be seen again, you have to really want it, or have something distract you enough that it makes you visible again."

Danny looked himself over, just to make sure he wasn't missing any body parts. "So, like if I want to be unseen, I will turn invisible?" As soon as he said that, he turned invisible again. "Wah! Visible, visible!" He returned to visibility.

"Wow… it really does work! This is awesome! Do you know how many pranks we could do on Jazz like this?" Danny smiled. "And the jocks, think of the pranks we could do to get back at them! Oh wait… isn't that bad though? I mean great powers comes with great responsibility…"

Andy turned back to the desk and intended to smash his forehead onto the surface, but his head went intangible and he went through the desk instead. "Wah!"

Andy pulled his head up and it was tangible again. "If you ask me, intangibility is more troublesome than invisibility…"

Danny laughed. "You looked like an ostrich for a moment there, bro!"

Then Danny's body fell halfway through the floor.

"You do realize it will be a big problem if your body becomes solid while you're halfway in the floor, don't you?" Andy pointed out.

Danny grumbled as he pulled himself out of the floor. "How did I get through a month of this without slipping up?"

"That's what I want to know…" Andy grumbled. "Well, back then, you were a lot more scared about it. You isolated yourself for the most part, only talking to Tucker and Sam. You didn't have any idea what was happening to you, Tucker and Sam were just as scared and worried. You're also a Fenton, you can be resourceful when you need to be to cover your tracks."

Danny groaned. "Great… Well… I think we should get some sleep. School is tomorrow, and I don't want to be falling asleep in class."

"Good luck sleeping. You'll likely wake up underground somewhere if not in Takuya's bed," Andy grumbled. "Or floating on the ceiling. Or maybe you won't sleep at all since it's…"

Andy looked at the nearest digital clock. "3 AM right now."

"Why wouldn't I be able to sleep?" Danny blinked.

"That's the witching hour. Mom and Dad said that's usually when the supernatural are at their most active and strongest," Andy explained. "And you did tell me you sometimes wake up around this time and have a hard time falling back asleep."

Danny groaned. "Ugh… I swear, if I fall asleep in Mr. Lancer's class, it will come back to bite me…"

"I could always ask Takuya or Jazz to knock us out," Andy suggested.

"No…" Danny frowned. "Jazz doesn't even know what happened to us."

"She will, eventually…" Andy sighed. "Let's just lay in our beds, maybe we'll get lucky and fall asleep. Well, hopefully I'll wake up in the morning. I don't know how long it'll be before this ghost disease finishes me off."

"Ghost disease? You don't have a ghost sickness, bro." Danny remarked with a frown.

"Prove it," Andy pointed out.

Danny blinked and frowned, he had no real way of proving that.

"Thought so," Andy said before he plopped down in his bed. "Try to sleep, Danny… and again, if you hear something weird calling out to you, ignore it."

Danny sighed, but also laid down on his bed, hoping to get to sleep as well. "Okay, bro…" But why would I follow something weird calling out to me? I know better than that...

Danny soon realized Andy hadn't been kidding about it being difficult to sleep. Danny couldn't keep his eyes closed, and he felt wide awake. Patamon was sleeping just fine, and he couldn't tell if Andy was asleep since Andy hadn't moved since he laid down in bed.

Andy wasn't sleeping, however, he was trying to look for something in the future. He remembered seeing futures of Danny being a lone halfa in Amity Park fading away into darkness when the second accident occurred. Andy had been trying to find those visions again, but he was getting nothing. Andy worried if that meant his own future was cut short, and he wouldn't be there to see it.

Danny finally groaned a bit to himself, realizing sleep would not be coming that night. Ugh… wow… I will definitely be sleeping in Mr. Lancer's class tomorrow...

Danny looked out the window, seeing what few stars he could see in the bright light of Amity Park. Sometimes he wished he could just go up into the sky to see as many stars as he wanted, but- Danny yelped when his head hit something. Opening his eyes, realizing he had been daydreaming about seeing the stars, he noticed that his bed was below him. So was the rest of his room. Danny was floating, and he was currently on the ceiling.

Danny gasped as he panicked before he remembered Andy's words about his ghost powers being linked to his emotions. Okay, calm down, Danny. You wanted to see the sky, maybe you should think about being back on the ground. Just think of it, want it, and… He fell from the ceiling and landed, but not on his bed. He felt a body beneath him when he landed.

"UGH!" Andy shouted in pain at having someone suddenly landing on top of him. Well now I know what Takuya felt like when I landed on him...

"Sorry, bro!" Danny exclaimed as he got off of his brother. "I was just imaging flying and seeing the stars and I found myself floating on the ceiling, but then I remembered what you said about my powers being linked to my emotions, so I thought I'd want to return to the ground and well… I fell on you…"

"Okay… That's it…" Andy grumbled. "You stay right here, I will be right back."

Andy got out of bed and walked to the door, only to suddenly go intangible and fell through the floor. "OH COME ON!"

Danny wasn't sure if he should go see if Andy was okay or not, but Andy told him to stay here. So Danny would give Andy about 20 minutes before he tried to go find Andy. Danny was a little worried about Andy being trapped underground somewhere.

Thankfully, Andy did come back before long. He was holding four glowing cuffs. "These should keep you from going intangible or flying up into the ceiling while you sleep tonight."

"What about you, bro? You just fell through the floor while intangible." Danny pointed out.

"I got some for me too. At least they'll keep my stupid symptoms from acting up tonight," Andy grumbled.

With that said, Andy put the glowing cuffs on Danny's wrists, and after that, Andy put the other two glowing cuffs on his own wrists.

"So do these nullify ghost powers?" Danny asked.

"That's what Mom and Dad said they're supposed to do," Andy answered. "I guess we'll see if they work."

Danny looked nervous at Andy's words. "O-okay… Um… the cuffs won't explode us, will they?"

"They shouldn't, they're used to catch ghosts, not obliterate them," Andy replied. "And now I wish you a goodnight, bro."

"Okay… goodnight…" Danny said nervously before he laid down on his bed again and tried to fall asleep.

With the glowing cuffs nullifying his ghost half, Danny found it easier to fall asleep.

The next morning, when Danny woke up, there were two things he noticed; he and Andy weren't in their room, they were in Takuya's room, and appeared to be sleeping on his bed. Second, his and Andy's cuffs were no longer glowing. It was as if the cuffs ran out of power or something.

"Uh… Andy… wake up," Danny poked his brother's face.

Andy grumbled. "What?"

"Um… You might want to see where we are. We are not in our room anymore…" Danny said.

Andy frowned when he noticed they were in Takuya's room. "How'd we get down here? The cuffs…"

Andy looked at the cuffs on their wrists, and noticed a slot for batteries. "They use batteries!? Oh come on!"

Danny looked at his own cuffs and blinked. "Well, that explains why we fell into Takuya's room…" He muttered. Then he felt movement below him.

"Get… off… of me…" A familiar voice hissed.

Danny and Andy frowned before they looked down at who else was on the bed. They saw a very smooshed Takuya under them.

Both brothers quickly scrambled to get off of their cousin.

"We're so sorry, Takuya!" Danny quickly apologized.

"I knew I should have slept on the living room couch…" Takuya grumbled as he sat up, rubbing his back. "Ow… You two are heavy…"

Takuya then noticed he couldn't see either of the twins. Either they ran out of his room or they were both invisible. He could still sense them, however, so they were definitely invisible.

Takuya groaned. "Okay… one half-ghost for a cousin was bad enough… but having two half ghost cousins is going to be worse…" He sighed as he put a hand to his head.

"I am not half ghost!" Andy shouted, becoming visible again.

Takuya jumped, as he hadn't expected Andy to be right next to him. "Wah!" He was sure he had gone at least three feet in the air, as he landed on the floor with a grunt. "OOF!"

Andy sighed before he grabbed onto his still invisible brother's arm. "Let's go, Danny, we need to get ready for the day anyways."

"Uh… okay…? How is it that you knew where my arm was while I am invisible?" Danny's voice asked as he was dragged out by Andy.

"Don't ask, just move," Andy huffed. "Just blame it on the ghost disease."

"Andy… why do you insist you have a ghost disease?" Danny's voice asked. "I don't think it's possible for humans to get a disease that gives them ghost powers."

"Yeah, and digital monsters can't exist in the real world, yet here we are," Andy retorted.

Danny's voice sighed before he focused on returning to visibility. "Okay, I think I got the hang of returning to visibility."

But then Danny's feet turned intangible, making him trip on Andy's back, making Andy fall too.

"But intangibility still needs work…" Danny grumbled as he looked back at the offending appendages.

"What's going on out there?" Jazz's voice asked as she opened the door, only to see her twin brothers lying on the floor. "What are you two doing?"

"I tripped?" Danny replied in an awkward manner.

"You tripped?" Lopmon blinked. "Didn't think you were that clumsy."

"Don't worry about it," Andy said. "We're just about to get ready for school."

Jazz blinked, but nodded. "Okay, I'll let you do that then." She replied before she paused. "What were you two doing up so early anyway?"

"Hey, the early bird gets the worm as you used to tell us," Andy said as he and Danny stood up. Until I figure out what's going on, I don't want to make Jazz worry about this whole thing right now. "Now if you'll excuse us…"

Andy had never been more relieved to be back in their room. Patamon was yawning as he looked at Danny and Andy. "Where did you two go?"

"We sank through the floor last night and woke up in Takuya's room…" Danny grumbled.

"Wow… having these ghost powers must be really troublesome for you two," Patamon remarked.

"Isn't there any advice or something you could tell Danny on how to control his powers?" Andy asked.

Patamon blinked. "No, why would I? I'm not a ghost."

"You… don't remember… being partners with Vlad?" Andy frowned.

"Who?" Patamon asked as he cocked his head to the right, looking absolutely adorable.

Andy sighed. "Never mind then…"

Danny looked over at Dorumon's egg. "Are you going to leave your partner's egg home today, bro?"

"I'd like to keep his egg safe and warm, but I don't think he'll be very safe with me while I'm having… problems with these symptoms," Andy grumbled.

"Well, we need to have someone keep an eye on Dorumon's egg while we are at school." Danny pointed out. He yelped as he felt his hand turn intangible. "Uh… based on what is happening to me… could you stay home and keep an eye on Dorumon's egg, Patamon? I kinda… don't trust myself to keep you hidden if I turn intangible at the wrong time…"

Patamon gave Danny a worried look. "Are you sure you'll be okay without me?"

"We'll be with Tucker, Sam, and Takuya, if a Digimon attacks, I'm sure they'll be able to handle it," Andy reassured. "I think your brother needs you more than we do right now."

Patamon looked back at the egg of Dorumon and gave a nod of determination. "Okay. I will do my best to keep Dorumon safe until he hatches."

"We'll be counting on you, Patamon." Danny smiled.

Patamon nodded before he jumped off of Danny's bed and cuddled his body on Dorumon's egg.

Andy had no idea how Danny was able to keep his ghost powers a secret during breakfast, lunch, and dinner, since the family usually ate together. Jack was enjoying his eggs and bacon, Maddie was working on another new invention on the table. Jazz was trying to read her book while pretending not to notice that her mother was using a welding fire on the device she was making at the kitchen table. Lopmon was just munching on his own food, not seeming to care.

Takuya was next to the twins, eating his own food. He was watching his twin cousins to make sure they didn't have their ghost powers act up at any moment. He would need to provide some kind of distraction if that happened.

Andy was wearing a dark blue jacket, since it was chilly outside, and it was also to help hide his arms if they suddenly went intangible or invisible. Danny didn't wear any jackets though. So it was a lot more noticeable when his arm suddenly went intangible, and the spoon he was eating out of fell out of his hand and into the bowl of cereal he was eating.

Takuya looked at Dann worriedly, ready to distract his aunt and uncle if they saw what happened.

Danny quickly hid his intangible arm behind his back. Andy was chewing on his toast, feeling too nervous to really eat. If he suddenly started sinking, he wouldn't be able to keep that hidden from his parents or Jazz. Andy shook his head, trying not to think about that, because if he thought about it, it was more likely his body would do that- well, his disease would do that.

Takuya shook his own head at the way Danny was acting. Danny needs to learn to wear jackets until he can control his powers...

Andy noticed his hand went invisible, so his toast looked like it was floating. He put his toast down and stuffed his hands into his pocket.

Uuugh… I don't know how we're going to survive dinner… we can barely get by in breakfast. Good thing our parents are distracted. Andy grumbled.

Takuya looked at the device Maddie was working on. He had never seen that one before, so he was curious about it. "Hey, Aunt Maddie? What device is that you are working on?"

"It's the Fenton Finder." Maddie smiled. "With this, we'll be able to track down any ghosts in the area."

Andy's eyes widened, he remembered the Fenton Finder. But why is Mom making that now? Is it because… the portal is now activated? Did they never actually invent half of the stuff they did because there wasn't a point? Damn it, Desiree!

"It'll be done in about two more days." Maddie grinned proudly.

Jack then smiled. "Did you just say it's done?"

Jack picked up the Fenton Finder, and Maddie didn't bother to correct him. She seemed eager to test it out despite it not being done yet.

"I'll have more scrap metal for Dorumon to eat once he hatches again," Maddie chuckled.

Jack eagerly activated the Fenton Finder. The device beeped, detecting two ghostly signatures nearby. "Two ghosts detected ahead."

Danny looked up nervously while Andy went under the table quickly.

"Walk forward." The device instructed.

Danny quickly got up and started walking backwards while Jack and Maddie moved towards him. Andy crawled under the table and raised his hand up to pull on Lopmon's ear.

"Ow!" Lopmon hissed. "What's-"

"I need you to do me a favor," Andy whispered.

Lopmon blinked as he looked at Andy. "What kind of favor?"

Takuya looked at Danny as the boy now had his back to the wall, his intangible arm still hidden behind him. Jack and Maddie were standing in front of Danny with the Fenton Finder on him. Danny gave a nervous smile.

"Ghost directly ahead. You would have to be some sort of moron to not notice the ghost directly ahead," The Fenton Finder stated.

Takuya smacked his face with his hand. Ugh… This will be a long day at school...

Jack frowned as he looked at the Fenton Finder and then at Danny. "Wait… this can't be right…" He muttered.

"I did say it would be done in two days…" Maddie frowned.

Suddenly a cup of yogurt hit the Fenton Finder, causing it to short circuit.

"Whoops, didn't mean to toss my yogurt like that," Lopmon apologized.

Jack looked down the Fenton Finder, now smoking slightly. "I was hoping to test the Digimon tracking function too…"

Takuya actually went pale at hearing that. Wait… What did he just say?!

Andy came back up from the table, and looked at Takuya. "You're welcome."

Takuya looked back at Andy, realizing he must have asked Lopmon to do something to short out the Fenton Finder.

"Um… uh… so maybe we should go to school now," Danny nervously suggested.

Jazz closed her book and sighed. "I should drive you to school after our parents clearly scared you with their stupid ghost device."

Jack looked back at Jazz. "It also tracks Digimon, Jazzypants." He said with pride.

"Well, maybe you should've tested that one out first to see if it tracked Lopmon," Jazz huffed. "Or Patamon."

"How about we just get to school? We don't want to be late," Andy suggested. School… oh no… that's going to quickly become my bane...

Takuya nodded. "Yeah. I think school sounds good right about now…" He said, wanting to get away from the Fenton Finder. I hope that thing can't track my Spirits...

Andy was grumbling as they walked into school. He never knew riding in a car could be so stressful, yet he had been proven wrong. Too many times, Takuya had to keep both him and Danny from phasing through the car and down into the moving road. In fact, Andy wasn't sure who had more stress at the moment; him or Takuya. Takuya trying to cover for them, and Andy trying not to get seriously injured by phasing through the car. He wondered how Danny was taking the whole thing himself.

If Danny still had his memories… Andy frowned as he looked back at his brother for a moment. He's… not… quite the same Danny anymore, is he?

It didn't hit Andy until now. Like when he was worried about Dorumon being gone due to not having his memories anymore, Danny was… well, Danny Phantom was still gone. Despite Danny being half ghost again, he still had no memories of his past actions, his battles, his achievements, what he had learned, and the struggles they all went through together. This Danny didn't know about any of that.

Takuya could see Andy was looking at Danny in a sort of longing way, and realized Danny was still without his memories. He frowned to himself. Someone will have to wish for everything to be back to the way it was if we are to restore Danny's memories. He thought to himself before he gasped and grabbed Danny to keep him from falling through the floor. At least it would make things easier for me because I don't think I can keep Danny and Andy from phasing through the floor like this for long...

They soon met up with Tucker and Sam. To Andy and Takuya, Sam was a familiar friend. To Danny, however, she was someone who knew what was going on. Then again, so did Andy and Takuya.

"Hey, glad to see Andy's awake. I was worried he'd be in a coma like you were after the first accident," Sam noted to Danny.

"Probably got lucky, or unlucky…" Andy grumbled. It would probably hurt to be conscious when the ghost disease gets worse.

"So… what do we do now?" Danny asked as he looked at Sam. "What's the plan?"

The bell gave a loud ring.

"We should get to class first," Tucker spoke up. "I'd rather not have Mr. Lancer giving us the stink eye because we were late."

Takuya nodded. "Yeah, and I don't think either of you two would do well if your powers acted up out here." He added.

"He has powers," Andy pointed at Danny. "I have just symptoms."

Andy walked ahead of the group while Sam looked at Takuya, confused by Andy's comment.

"Don't ask why Andy said that…" Takuya groaned. "I'm just as in the dark as you are…"

"He's in denial…" Danny said.

"Oh…" Sam frowned.

"About what? His ghost powers? Come on, that's like the coolest thing!" Tucker raised his arms.

"But I guess Andy doesn't see it that way," Sam sighed. "Come on, we can talk about this later, class is about to start."

Takuya sighed. "And keeping the twins from falling from a moving car was bad enough…" He muttered as he shook his head.

Danny was glad he was beside Sam during class, so he could ask her a question while Mr. Lancer was writing something on the board.

"So… now what?" Danny asked as he leaned over to Sam's desk, putting his hand on her chair.

"I don't know. I'm kinda just making this up as we go along." Sam replied as she looked at Danny. "But we do need to stop Desiree, that is our end goal at least."

Danny's hand suddenly went intangible, and that made him fall out of his chair and onto the floor. Andy looked at Danny in surprise since he was sitting behind his brother, and he felt his legs going intangible suddenly. Andy yelped as he fell out of his chair, landing on his back before his legs were solid again.

Seeing Danny and Andy land on the ground made the students in the classroom bust out laughing, much to Danny and Andy's embarrassment. Takuya put his head on his desk, groaning at the situation.

Mr. Lancer made his way over to the twins. "Well, Mr. Fenton, both of you, I know Astronomy can be boring, but I would appreciate it if you would not take a nap in my class!" He said sternly, looking down at the twins.

How is us falling out of our seats considered us taking a nap? If we were napping, we'd have our heads on our desk… Andy grumbled to himself. Also, I hate this, I really do.

Mr. Lancer then turned his attention away from Danny and Andy. "And remember the meteor shower tonight. Don't forget to watch, and don't forget to wear a helmet. It's a once-in-a-lifetime experience." He said as he made his way back to his desk.

As soon as Mr. Lancer reached his desk, the bell rang. Most of the students raced out of the classroom, though a few of them were just walking.

"What're you going to wish for?" Calvin asked Paulina as they were walking past the group.

"I don't know, but with everyone wishing at the same time, someone will give me an idea~" Paulina grinned.

So this is the reality I live in? Andy frowned. No Danny Phantom… or at least, not the same one.

"I know what I would wish for~" Star smiled as she and the other popular kids left the classroom.

"So…" Dash came up behind the group, which startled Danny and Tucker since they still saw him as a bully. "Is there a plan?"

Takuya looked back at Dash. "We're… kinda working on one at the moment." He admitted. "It's… not going so well though…"

Sam however, remembered something important. "Wait… The meteor shower! That's what Desiree wants! She wants to grant all those wishes at the same time!"

"Desiree? You mean that ghost in the school the other day?" Dash frowned.

"Yes, she's a genie ghost basically. She grants every wish she hears, and gets stronger from it. But she also twists the wish. You could say you want an extra pair of arms for example, and she'd mutate you into a giant, monstrous ghost creature with four arms," Andy informed.

Takuya clenched his fists. "This is bad… this is very bad…" He hissed.

"Wait… you're not… going to throw us in a locker or something?" Tucker asked in surprise.

"No…" Dash frowned. "We still need to fix this."

"Okay, Dash, here's a plan. You need to stay with Paulina on Friday, make sure everyone at the party is safe while everyone's making their wishes. Meanwhile, we're going to try to stop Desiree," Andy suggested.

Danny was staring at his brother, shocked that he was telling Dash, the Dash Baxter, the king of the bullies in Casper High, what to do.

"Um… Bro…? Why are you telling Dash what to do? Isn't it normally the other way around?" Danny asked his twin nervously.

"Dash is a friend," Andy admitted. "Like Takuya, he also holds a Legendary Warrior's Spirits. He can help keep the other kids safe while we try to stop Desiree."

Danny blinked at Andy's words, but nodded. "Okay, I guess. If it works, we'll go with that."

Dash gave a nod at Andy's words. "I think I can do that. Err… help keep the others safe I mean."

"Okay, you keep in contact with us with your D-Tector in case something goes wrong, we'll also keep you posted," Andy said.

"Good idea, Andy, having someone there at the party to make sure everyone's safe." Sam smiled.

Suddenly, everything around Andy seemed to be getting taller. Sam's eyes widened as she looked down at him. Andy looked back at Danny to see he was intangible and was sinking into the floor. Andy quickly looked down, seeing he was sinking as well. Takuya quickly grabbed Dash's attention while they were sinking.

"Hey, Dash? If you had to make a wish, what would it be?" Takuya asked quickly, trying to keep Dash from seeing his cousins sinking into the floor.

Andy and Danny ended up in the school's freezer. There were boxes and boxes of meat. Andy was glad he was wearing a jacket in this cold, though Danny didn't seem too bothered by it. Andy remembered seeing this room when the Lunch Lady ghost attacked, it was the first time Andy saw Danny's ghost form.

"Hey, why is there all this meat down here?" Danny questioned.

It was another reminder that this Danny wasn't the same Danny Phantom Andy knew.

Danny looked at Andy. "Uh, you okay bro? You seem kinda… quiet…"

"It's… cold down here," Andy replied. "We should get out of here and then figure out what we're going to do about Desiree."

Danny followed Andy to the nearest door. Unfortunately, when Andy tried to open it, he discovered it was locked. "... Danny, could you phase us both out of here? The door's locked."

"Uh… sure?" Danny said with a questioning look. "But you also have ghost powers. You could phase yourself out too, you know." But he was going to do as Andy asked. Then he had a thought. "Um… how do I turn intangible again?"

Andy furrowed his eyebrows, before sighing. "Um… okay… try imagining that door is made of water. You could go through water even as a human, right? So close your eyes, imagine that door is made of water, and walk right through it."

Danny did as Andy asked. "Okay, the door is water, and I can walk through water…" He murmured as he walked towards the door, turning intangible as he did so. Danny went through the door with ease, which unfortunately, left Andy stuck in the meat locker.

Andy's eyes went wide as he ran up to the door and began banging on it. "HEY! YOU FORGOT TO TAKE ME WITH YOU! GET BACK HERE!"

Danny's voice could be heard outside the door. "Nope~ You have powers, so you use them to get out~"

"I do not have powers! These are symptoms! I can't control symptoms!" Andy shouted back. "Are you really going to leave me in here to freeze!?"

Danny's voice was heard outside the door again. "Just imagine the door is water. It isn't that hard, is it?" Danny asked, raising an eyebrow, even if Andy could not see it due to being on the other side of the door.

"You want me to imagine it's water? Fine, I'll imagine it's water and charge it down like a bull," Andy hissed as he backed away from the door. "If I get hurt, it's on you!"

Andy shut his eyes and ran forward, fully expecting to hit solid metal. However, with his eyes closed, he couldn't tell how far away the door was, and kept going until he ended up tackling someone into the floor instead of solid metal.

"Ooof!" It was Danny Andy slammed into. Despite being on the floor, Danny regained his composure and looked at Andy with a big grin. "Well, didn't I tell you it was easy to get out?" He teased.

Andy blinked open his eyes. At first he thought Danny came back into the meat locker at the last second, but he looked back to see the door was behind him. "If by easy, you mean tackling you in the gut, then yeah, it was easy."

Danny chuckled. "Someone is in a bad mood." He joked.

"I didn't like being left in the meat locker," Andy grumbled.

"There you guys are!" Sam's voice spoke up in relief.

Danny and Andy looked back. "Oh, hey." Danny said before he realized Andy was still on top of him. "Uh… bro, could you get off of me? You're kinda crushing my lungs…"

"Maybe later." Andy grinned. "Or why don't you use your powers to go intangible since it's apparently so easy?"

Danny grumbled. "Geez, this is the thanks I get for helping you get out of that meat locker?" He grumbled before he focused and became intangible. Danny then stood up, phasing through Andy, which felt weird, to both brothers.

"Suddenly I feel a little violated…" Danny remarked.

"You'll get used to that," Andy said as he stood up.

"Come on, we need to get ready for tonight," Sam said to them.

"This… isn't going to be easy." Gatomon frowned.

"Of course it's not, we have an amnestic ghost hero, who doesn't remember how to use his powers. Then you have me, who's a walking disaster right now and partnerless. Desiree is probably 50 times stronger than she was when we last saw her. I am definitely not liking our chances," Andy grumbled.

Takuya, who was behind Sam, sighed. "I'd hate to think of what could happen if she grants all those wishes…" He grumbled to himself.

"Well, we can still try to beat this Desiree, right?" Danny offered helpfully.

Andy rubbed his head. "If we're going to beat her, we're going to need a very good strategy."

Takuya looked at his D-Tector. "I guess I will have to bust out my Fusion form if we hope to have any sort of chance."

"Actually, it might be best if you go with Dash and keep the people at Paulina's party safe," Sam said.

"What? Why?" Takuya asked. "I know I'm still a bit sore, but I'm probably the best person to be able to take down Desiree."

"Exactly," Gatomon pointed out. "You and Dash are our last line of defense, if we should fail, you two will need to stop her."

Takuya looked down, realizing Gatomon had a point. "Yeah… that does make sense…" He agreed. He then looked back up. "Okay. I will go with Dash."

"And it'll also give you a chance to recover if we're able to stop her ourselves, if you keep Spirit evolving, you're not going to be able to recover quickly," Gatomon added.

"In the meantime, we'll see what we can do with our Digimon and these two," Sam said, looking at Danny and Andy.

Takuya nodded. "Okay. Just… be careful, okay?" He asked, worried about his cousins; one of them was without his memories, and the other thought he had a ghostly disease, so of course he was worried sick about them.

"Don't worry, I'll make sure to try to teach Danny how to be a ghost hero again," Andy assured as he rubbed his brother's head. I'm going to need to pick up my journal...

Danny liked the head rub he was getting from Andy, and actually purred a little.

Andy stopped and looked at Danny. "Did you just purr?"

Danny opened his eyes and looked at Andy in surprise. "I purred?"

Gatomon was struggling to keep from laughing at the fact Danny had indeed purred. At least if she purred, it would make sense since she was a cat, but for a humanoid ghost like Danny, it was not only amusing but adorable too. Sam was staring as well, and almost blushed.

Come to think of it, when Danny was in that scary form of his, he moved around like a cat. Flexible, elegant, and fast. I wonder how he'd react to a laser pointer… Andy mused.

"Um…" Sam spoke up. "We should uh… ignore that and get ready for tonight."

Danny blushed a bit. "Oh… right… Let's go… please…"

Gatomon finally lost it and fell into laughter at Danny's reaction, making the original ghost boy blush more.

Night came far too quickly. Takuya and Dash were at the party, which was being held at a country club. Sam, Tucker, Danny, and Andy were on a hill that was at a distance from the party.

"It doesn't say anything on how to transform," Andy groaned as he was flipping through the pages of his journal.

"Really? You never bothered to ask?" Danny frowned as he was looking at the journal from behind Andy.

"To be fair, I didn't think it would be all that important at the time. It was too awkward for me to ask, like I was asking you about something… a bit too personal," Andy grumbled.

Sam was observing the party going on below with binoculars. "Wow… Paulina almost looks like a human being." Sam murmured before she removed the binoculars from her face. "I'm going to have to forget I saw that…"

Then Sam looked up, seeing a falling star going by. "A falling star!" She exclaimed before looking back at Danny and Andy. "Okay, you two. Do your thing. And remember, nobody make a wish!"

"Maybe we should have our Digimon digivolve," Tucker suggested.

"No way, we'd be even more vulnerable if we're bigger," Terriermon huffed.

"Do our thing? Crap, I forgot to bring my Fenton Rod! Of all the days to leave it behind!" Andy groaned before he looked at Danny. "Okay, so… uh… try to um… core… a ghost uses their core to use their powers. Okay, try to activate your core!"

"Uh…" Danny hesitated.

"Just… Do you feel that coldness inside you?" Andy asked.

Danny nodded. "I do. It still feels weird…" He rubbed his chest where he felt the cold spot.

"Okay, focus on that coldness and try to take a mental hold of it, it should activate and transform you. I… hope," Andy instructed.

"You hope?" Danny frowned.

"This is my first time trying to describe something I never experienced myself," Andy pointed out.

"R-right… then… I'm going… to become ghostly!" Danny shouted.

Everyone looked at Danny.

"What?" Danny asked.

"It's 'I'm going ghost'..." Sam grumbled to Danny, who blinked before sighing.

"Forget the battle cry, just transform," Andy grumbled.

Danny closed his eyes and focused in on the cold spot, then imagined a hand taking hold of the coldness. Then he felt something wash over him. When he opened his eyes, he saw he was floating, and had a ghostly glow around him. "Hey, cool! It worked!" Danny exclaimed happily before he noticed his legs were gone. "AH! Where are my legs!?"

Andy was surprised to see Danny's legs were currently a ghostly tail, they usually only turned into a tail if Danny was trying to fly faster. "Try to calm down, bro. It… it's common for ghosts to have a ghostly tail like this, but you can form them into legs."

Danny imagined having legs again, and to his relief, his legs reformed. He sighed in relief before his arms became tails suddenly. "Wah!"

"The hell?" Andy stared, he had never seen Danny's arms do that before.

Tucker and Terriermon were trying not to bust out laughing.

Sam groaned. "Any chance we could just get our defeat over with now…?"

Gatomon sighed. "Forget the defeat, we won't even get the first blow in…"

"Jee, thanks for the vote of confidence," Andy sarcastically grumbled.

"Maybe you should transform now too," Sam pointed out.

"I can't transform," Andy retorted.

After a moment of panicking, Danny was able to reform his arms before he looked back at Andy. "Do you feel a cold spot in your chest, bro?"

"No." Andy stubbornly answered.

"Are you lying?" Danny crossed his arms, giving Andy a stern look.

Andy crossed his own arms and turned his head away.

"Do you want Danny to overshadow you and force it?" Sam asked.

"I can do that?" Danny asked as he looked at Sam in surprise.

"Uh… you can overshadow him, but…" Sam didn't really know if Danny could force it.

Tucker looked up at another falling star, and despite what Sam said, he really couldn't help himself. If there was a genie ghost, then maybe this one wish couldn't hurt, right?

"I wish I had one of those sweet monster trucks!" Tucker grinned.

"Wait, why did you wish that? You can't even drive yet," Terriermon pointed out. "I'd say you should wish for-"

"Shut it!" Sam snapped. "Do you two ever listen to anything, at all, ever?"

However, before Sam could say anything else, a familiar wishing ghost came out from the ground behind Tucker and Terriermon and raised up her hand. Pink energy flowed around Desiree's hand as she pointed it at Tucker and Terriermon. Then, the Ginormo 6000 appeared in front of Tucker and Terriermon.

Sam gasped. "Uh oh…"

Tucker walked over to the monster truck and looked at it. "Hmmm… This doesn't seem very monstrous…" But as if on cue, the truck then roared at Tucker and Terriermon before chasing after them as they ran for it.

"You just had to open your big mouth!" Terriermon shouted as he was clinging to Tucker's shoulders.

"I'm sorry!" Tucker wailed.

"Andy! You really should transform!" Danny yelped, getting worried now.

"It doesn't matter if I transform, Danny! I don't know squat about how to use ghost stuff!" Andy snapped, raising his arms in frustration. "You at least have… some experience, if not your mind than your body certainly does! I would just exhaust myself!"

Danny groaned. "Okay, fine, we'll worry about you transforming later. Right now, we need to beat this ghost." He then paused. "Uh… how do I do that?"

"We're doomed…" Andy and Sam both sighed.

"Gatomon, we're gonna need you," Sam said to her cat Digimon.

Meanwhile, down at the party, Paulina was pointing out at all the falling stars in the sky. "Look everybody, falling stars! Close your eyes and make a wish!"

Everyone eagerly closed their eyes and started to make their wishes. Despite their wishes being silent, Desiree could apparently still hear them. Takuya and Dash were the only ones in the crowd not making a wish, instead, they turned to the hill, seeing Desiree there, and she was getting bigger and stronger.

"You uh… really think the others will be okay fighting her?" Dash asked Takuya nervously.

Takuya frowned. "I don't know, but we'll have to trust them. They may have a better chance than we do, considering I am still sore from a big battle and well… they know more about ghosts than we do."

"I just hope they make it out of this alive if we have to fight that ghost…" Dash frowned.

Back on the hill, Gatomon jumped towards Desiree in an attempt to distract her from granting wishes. "Lightning Paw!"

Desiree just grinned as she put an ecto dome around Gatomon, stopping her completely. "Aww, is the little digital kitty cat getting restless?"

Gatomon growled, her fur bristling. "Let me out of here!" She exclaimed, slashing at the ecto-dome, but to no avail; Desiree was far too strong for her to break out of it.

"Darn it! Come on, Gatomon, try to digivolve!" Sam called out, holding up her D-Arc.

Sam's D-Arc glowed for a moment, but then it turned into static. "Huh? What's wrong?"

"She can't digivolve while she's in this bubble," Desiree chuckled. "It interrupts whatever signal you sent her with that infernal device."

"Okay, Tucker's running for his life, and Gatomon's trapped… looks like it's up to you after all, bro," Andy said to Danny.

"Uh… right… So… how do I fight her?" Danny asked nervously.

"Here, you can use this when you weaken her!" Sam called out, tossing Danny the Fenton Thermos.

"What do I use it for? Soup?" Danny asked as he caught the Fenton Thermos.

Sam groaned. "No, you use it to catch ghosts…" She sighed.

"You can fly, Danny, see if you can get closer to Desiree while she's too busy laughing!" Andy suggested.

Indeed, Desiree was floating, getting bigger, and was laughing as she was hearing more and more wishes.

Danny looked at Desiree and glared at her before he began running to try to get up to Desiree. He jumped off the edge of the hill, but he wound up falling instead of flying. He landed on the ground, the thermos bopping him on the head.

Gatomon face-pawed herself. "We're doomed…"

"Danny! Concentrate!" Sam called out before some bushes beside her suddenly came to life, then grabbed onto her arms. "What the!? Who the heck wished for evil plants!?"

Andy frowned before he quickly started flipping through his journal. Okay, try to stay calm. I have no weapons, no Digimon partner, Sam and Gatomon are trapped, Tucker and Terriermon are busy with a literal monster truck, Takuya and Dash are down at the party, and Danny is… ugh… pretty much at level 1 going up against a level 50 ghost… there's gotta be something in here we can use.

Then Andy saw the list of Danny's ghost powers that they knew of before the 'reset' button was hit on Danny. "Danny! Try firing a ghost ray from your hand!"

Danny got to his feet. "O-okay… Ghost ray, ghost ray…" Danny concentrated, but then his bum lit up like a firefly's. "Huh… that can't be right… But it will have to do!" Danny exclaimed as he fired off his ghost ray from his behind.

Desiree let out a shocked yelped when she was hit by the butt ghost ray, and fell back several feet.

"Not… what I had in mind… but okay…" Andy mumbled.

Danny looked back and saw Desiree had been caught off-guard and figured now was a good time to try to use the thermos. "Okay… let's see… Agh! I don't know how to use this thing you gave me!" Danny exclaimed as he took off the lid of the thermos and tried to get it to work, but to no avail.

"No, you're supposed to point it at- LOOK OUT!" Andy shouted when Desiree came up behind Danny and backhanded him into the ground.

"How are you back? I thought I got rid of your powers for good!" Desiree frowned, looking at Danny. "Oh, well, it doesn't matter. You certainly don't remember anything, you're like an infant with your powers right now."

"I may not remember anything, but I don't need to remember to know I have to beat you!" Danny retorted as he pointed at Desiree. Then, the rings of light appeared and turned him back into Danny Fenton. Danny looked surprised. "Okay… change back, change back!" He exclaimed as he panicked. Then, the rings came back and Danny was back in his ghost form. "Phew…"

Desiree just grinned as her hand turned into a giant hammer. Danny gulped. "Uh-oh."

Desiree brought down the hammer, but Andy managed to get to Danny and grabbed his arm before pulling him away, just barely dodging the hammer.

"Thanks, bro…" Danny said as he looked at his brother. "I would have gone splat back there…"

"Maybe, maybe not, your body is surprisingly very durable as a ghost," Andy said. "Okay, you have invisibility, intangibility, overshadowing, the power of flight, ghost sense, and ghost ray. We can make this work-"

Andy looked up, noticing Danny's arms were being weird again, being all wibbly wobbly.

"Or we would if you knew how to control your powers," Andy groaned. "I'm just gonna add body manipulation to the list…"

Danny focused and managed to get his arms to stop being all wiggly and weird. "Okay… That was inconvenient…" He muttered. "So… let's try the ghost ray again… and hope it comes out the right end this time…"

"Wait, we never gone over on how to use your-" Andy started saying before Danny held out his hands, and his bum started glowing again.

Andy yelped as he jumped to the side, avoiding the butt ghost ray.

"Oops! Sorry, bro!" Danny exclaimed in embarrassment.

They were really lucky Desiree was busy conjuring up giant monsters, animals, and a grim reaper for some reason. Andy really didn't want to know who wished for a giant grim reaper.

"Okay, let's start from the basics again. Try flying," Andy sighed, trying to remain calm.

Danny looked at Andy before he focused and tried to imagine himself flying, getting near the stars. He began to float up, making him open his eyes and he gaped a bit before he grinned. "Hey… I'm flying!"

Then Danny noticed his legs turned into a ghostly tail again. "Wah! My legs are gone again!"

"Stay calm! That's fine, Danny, it'll help you maneuver around in the air faster!" Andy called up. "Now, try making yourself intangible."

Danny focused and imagined himself walking through water, like nothing was in his way. He felt all tingly before his body became see-through. Danny opened his eyes again and saw he could see the ground through his body. "Hey! It worked!"

"Good! Now, try invisibility, but remain intangible as well!" Andy instructed. "Remember, you don't want to be seen, you want to keep away from any eyes that can see you."

Danny imagined he was unable to be seen, like a chameleon against a matching wall. His body turned invisible, making Danny grin. "Cool!"

"And now, fly over to Desiree. Your intangibility should keep you safe from any solid attacks, and with your invisibility you should be able to get close to her without her noticing. Unless she can sense you, but your intangibility will keep you safe for the most part. When you get close to her, try your ghost ray again, but this time focus on your core. Remember, your ghost energy comes from your core, lead it out to your hands," Andy instructed.

Danny nodded before he flew over to where Desiree was busy granting the wishes of the party-goers. He made sure to fly low, phasing through trees while flying. He had the biggest grin on his face as he did this; it was like nothing was capable of stopping him! Once behind Desiree, Danny flew up from the trees and, while invisible and intangible, focused on his ghostly core. He could feel its energy, and it began to emit power, which he directed to his hands. His hands began to glow with the ecto-energy, and then, Danny shot out the ghost ray from his hands.

Desiree, who was caught off guard by Danny's sudden attack, let out a shout as the ghost ray pushed her into the ground. Danny realized he was still holding the Fenton Thermos. He frowned, he still wasn't sure how to use the thermos. Andy was telling him earlier, but he got interrupted.

Angered, Desiree got back up and fired purple beams at Danny, who was very glad he stayed intangible. But Desiree's hands started to glow. Danny yelped when he felt something hot hitting his body.

"Your intangibility can't save you from my magic!" Desiree announced as Danny fell to the ground, losing his intangibility and invisibility.

Andy ran over to a small ledge, looking at Desiree and Danny, who transformed back to human. Danny! What should I do? For once I'm out of options!

Then Andy noticed his hands were glowing. He frowned at his hands, before realizing he could use this to his advantage. He held out his glowing hands, and managed to shoot out a ghost ray of his own, but they were much smaller and weaker than Danny's ghost ray since he was a human. Still, it was enough to at least sting Desiree when it hit her back. It got the genie ghost's attention on him.

Trying to appear confident, Andy gave Desiree a smirk. "Hey, aren't you forgetting someone?"

Desiree frowned. "I haven't forgotten you." She then sneered. "How do you hope to stop me, boy?"

"I know I can stop you," Andy answered back, still trying to appear much more confident than he actually was. If only the old Danny Phantom was here… "You didn't really think that Danny was the only one who could stop you, did you?"

"Fine then, I'll finish you first!" Desiree snapped as she raised her hands.

Sam saw this, and shut her eyes, realizing that Andy was just trying to distract Desiree from getting Danny, but at this rate, Desiree will kill him.

"Sam! Do you have a wish?" Andy suddenly called out, still staring Desiree down.

"Huh?" Sam blinked.

"After all… wouldn't it have been nice to have Danny back with all of his memories?" Andy hinted.

Sam blinked before she caught on. "Of course… She's a wishing ghost, and she's granting every wish she hears!" Sam then steeled herself for her wish. "I WISH DANNY AND I HAD NEVER HAD THAT FIGHT, AND I WISH DANNY, TUCKER, AND I REMEMBERED EVERYTHING AND THAT HIS COSTUME WOULD REMAIN THE WAY IT IS BECAUSE I REALLY LIKE IT AND THAT ANDY WOULD REMAIN A HALFA TOO WITH HIS COSTUME ALSO REMAINING THE WAY IT IS!"

What the absolute f-bomb, Sam!? Andy screamed in his head. Why did you say that last part!?

Desiree, who was so caught up in her power trip, didn't even think twice to grant this wish. "So you have wished it, and so it shall be!"

Desiree shot out another purple beam of magic at Danny, there was another purple beam of magic that went to Tucker. Danny yelped when the purple beam went to him, but as soon as it hit him, he stared off into space for a moment, his memories coming back.

Andy quickly turned around and started running before Desiree could smash him.

Danny's eyes then opened, and he grinned. The white rings appeared around his waist before he transformed into Danny Phantom. "Guess who's back?" Danny taunted as he floated up in front of Desiree.

At the same time, the monster truck was now fleeing away from a very trigger happy Gargomon. Tucker was on Gargomon's shoulders while Gargomon was laughing as he was shooting at the monster truck with his gun hands. "No monster truck is a match for me!"

Desiree's eyes went wide before Danny aimed the Fenton Thermos at her with confidence. Desiree shouted, "No, no, no!"

Desiree was sucked into the Fenton Thermos, and she lamented about not granting every wish she heard before Danny put the lid on the thermos.

The other wishes that Desiree granted all disappeared, with nobody being aware of those things.

"It's finally over…" Andy sighed in relief.

Danny looked quite pleased with what he had done, floating down and landing. Then he put a hand to his head. "Wow… do I have a headache…"

The monster truck disappeared, though it was already in pieces by the time Desiree was caught. Gargomon proudly blew out the smoke that was coming out of his hand gun.

Tucker was grinning at Gargomon. "You laid waste to that monster truck!"

"Who needs a monster truck when you've got a Digimon?~" Gargomon smiled.

Andy and Sam walked over to Danny, wanting to see if everything was actually back to normal. And if Danny remembered the whole second accident thing.

Danny looked down at his chest, noticing that there was something new there that wasn't there before. "Did you do something to my costume, Sam?"

"Oh… It's… always been like that." Sam replied before she sighed. "Actually Danny, Desiree made it so you and I never met. You didn't have your powers, so… I had to convince you to listen to me, and you went through the accident a second time. I put that logo on your chest so your costume didn't look so plain. And… I want to say I'm sorry for the fight."

If Danny really didn't remember, Andy decided to take his chance with something. "So… during that whole wishing fiasco, I might've accidentally wished to have ghost powers like Tucker did. So you may want to use the Ghost Catcher on me before I start mutating."

Danny looked at Andy. "Really, bro? I seem to remember you going into the portal with me that second time." He said with a grin.

Andy deflated at that. "So you do remember? All of it?"

"Pretty much, but it feels like I was in a daze or a dream." Danny replied as he put a hand to his head again. "It's like I was in a fog, able to see some things, yet not able to see others."

Andy sighed before he looked at Sam. "Any particular reason why you wanted Desiree to let me keep this ghost disease?"

"Andy, you don't have a ghost disease!" Sam groaned. "You have ghost powers!"

"Oh great, so I'm stuck with this stupid ghost disease because you thought I have ghost powers…" Andy grumbled.

Gargomon degenerated into Terriermon and Tucker was holding him as he walked over to the group. Danny bent down to pick up the Fenton Thermos he dropped.

"Hey! Whoa, watch where you're pointing that!" Tucker yelped, looking at Danny's bum.

"What?" Danny asked as he stood up. "Is it because I fired a ghost ray out my butt?"

"We didn't even know you could do that until now. That's gotta be an effective way to both hurt and gross out your enemies," Terriermon laughed.

Danny blushed a bit. "Remind me to never do that unless I can't use my hands…" He muttered.

"But at least you're back, Danny, we weren't sure if you'd ever be your old self again," Sam said in relief.

"Yeah… you kept looking at me as if I was the ghost expert," Andy sighed. "I am so asking you how you use your powers in detail in case something like this happens again."

Danny laughed sheepishly. "Sorry, bro… But it's not like I had my memories at the time."

Gatomon sighed, glad to be out of the ecto ball. "At least the wishing ghost is gone. Now we should probably be able to enjoy a night without anything going on."

"Weren't we invited to that party down there?" Tucker asked, pointing at the party that was still going on. "And shouldn't we let Takuya and Dash know that everything's taken care of?"

"We probably should." Danny agreed. "But… I'm starting to wonder if going to the party is worth it. I mean… my life could have been way different if I didn't meet Sam. I could've been missing a very important person in my life…" He had a bit of a blush on his face as he said that, trying to avoid eye contact with Sam.

Andy looked at Danny and Sam. He began to get an idea, perhaps an awful idea, but at this point he was getting desperate. He really didn't need these deluded teenagers to keep saying how he had ghost powers now, they obviously didn't know the difference between ghost powers and a ghost disease.

"Why don't you two go to the movie then? It should still be playing right now, right?" Andy suggested, looking at Danny and Sam. "Tucker and I can go talk to Takuya and Dash."

Danny and Sam both went red in the face. "You mean… like a date?!" Danny balked.

Tucker smacked his face with his hand. "Dude… it's not a date… It's just going to see a movie…"

"But it can be a date if you want it to be~" Terriermon grinned.

"It won't be! Besides, it won't just be the two of us, Gatomon will be- … Where's Gatomon?" Sam frowned, noticing the lack of a cat Digimon.

Gatomon was already moving away. "See you at home, Sam! Enjoy your movie!"

Sam smacked her face with her hand. "Ugh… this is going to be awkward…"

"Danny, why don't you give me the thermos? I can take care of Desiree while you and Sam go to the movie," Andy suggested.

Danny instead shook his head. "Oh no, bro. I'm not giving you the thermos. You would release Desiree and try to wish away your powers. I'll hold on to it."

Damn it, he knows me too well. Andy grumbled. "Whaaaaat? Why would I do something that dangerous?"

"I know you, bro. So no, I will take care of Desiree when Sam and I get out of the movie." Danny said firmly. "It's not worth it." He then looked at Sam. "So… you ready to go to the movie? I want to get there so this knucklehead doesn't get the thermos away from me."

"Heh, sure, whatever you say, Danny." Sam smiled.

Danny and Sam began walking together like a couple down the hill.

"So… uh… want to come to the party with me?" Tucker asked Andy.

"What? To that shallow girl's party? No. I'm going home," Andy huffed. "You and Terriermon can tell Takuya and Dash about Desiree being defeated."

Tucker sighed. "Okay…" He looked back at Andy. "But dude, stop denying you have powers. It's going to make things harder for us."

"Why would it?" Andy asked. "I'm not denying anything."

Then Andy looked at Tucker. "Come to think of it, you had ghost powers once before. Do you remember what it was like?"

"I do. It was kinda awesome. I mean, being able to go places I never could before, overshadowing people, then flight, and the ghost rays? Who wouldn't like having ghost powers?" Tucker admitted with a grin.

"It's too bad you had to get rid of them though." Terriermon frowned. "I would've liked to see what it would've been like to have a ghost partner like Patamon."

"Well… my powers had been given to me by Desiree, so they were kinda corrupting me…" Tucker admitted sheepishly. "It's not like I would have been a halfa like Andy and Danny by the time you would've met me."

"I'm not a halfa! Why does everybody keep saying that? Oh, because I exhibit some ghost traits? Are you going to assume every person who exhibits ghost traits to be a halfa?" Andy snapped. "For all I know, this ghost disease might be doing the same to me as it did you!"

"Um… Andy… Your eyes are glowing… purple? Wow… I thought your eyes would be glowing green like Danny's." Tucker noted.

Andy frowned and turned away. "I'm going home. I'll see you later… if there is a later…"

"Alright… see you later, man. I hope you calm down from all this…" Tucker waved as Andy started leaving.

Andy then fell halfway through the ground. "OH COME ON!"

Titanic X: DarkFoxKit: I'm glad you want to see what happens next, but I'd appreciate it if you said more than just that.

ZAFT: Saying more means say what you like and why, or what you don't like and why. ^^'

DP-Marvel94: ZAFT:Tormenting Andy is too much fun~! XD

DarkFoxKit: Yeah, the idea was from the original We Are Phantoms, but I've grown since then. I tweaked some of the dialogue and reasonings here. And when the actual accident happened, instead of Dora putting a skateboard in front of Andy, it happened much more organically, with Andy going in the portal first with the intention of checking to make sure nothing was out of place, only for Danny to go in to check on Andy and thus, turn on the portal with both of them inside.

ZAFT: But that made it all the better! :3
