DarkFoxKit: Alright, here's another chapter.

Andy: That's it? That's all you're going to say?

DarkFoxKit: What else do you want me to say? Would you prefer it if I talked about your-

Andy: Ah! There's no reason to talk about my you-know-whats!

ZAFT: Oh? Why not?~ :3 I think you will enjoy being-"

Takuya: At least Andy is able to be human while I'm stuck in my Human Spirit form!

ZAFT: Do you want me to put you on the leash, fire boy? No interrupting! *waves leash*

DarkFoxKit: Heh, let's get on to the story!

Chapter 5: A Ghostly Hospital

The ambulance came to a stop. Agunimon was now on high alert, that Dr. Bert Rand seemed highly against any other doctors going into the hospital except for these 'specialists'. Andy opened his eyes, seeing how they were here. While he was still worried about his possibly sick status, he hadn't been lying when he told Agunimon he wanted to investigate this hospital. He just had a bad feeling he couldn't shake.

The doors opened, and these 'specialists' were coming in to take the students out of the ambulance. These 'specialists' were tall, muscular, wore some kind of neon green suit that seemed almost ghostly, and they wore a mask and helmet over their heads, concealing their faces.

Agunimon couldn't help but let out an involuntary gasp as he felt the flashes of heat and coldness at the same time, a sign that ghosts were around. Crap… Why did I get that feeling now?!

Agunimon noticed a lot of the other students had blue mists coming out of their mouths, showing they had gained ghost senses like Danny did. Out of curiosity, Agunimon looked down at Andy, seeing the boy grumbling before a darker blue mist came out of his mouth.

The Warrior of Flame blinked as he observed the dark blue mist that seemed to be Andy's ghost sense. Okay… Why is Andy's ghost sense different in color? I was sure it would be a light blue like Danny's ghost sense… and everyone else's.

Then one of the 'specialists' took Andy's stretcher and began to roll it out of the ambulance. Agunimon frowned, he didn't like the idea of leaving Andy to these suspicious looking 'people', if they were people.

As much as he wanted to go after Andy and the 'specialist' that was taking him away, Agunimon didn't rush out, instead exiting the ambulance slowly so as to not give away he wasn't a doctor, or even human for that matter. It was hard to go against his Digimon instincts, but Agunimon managed to refrain from lashing out to save Andy and the others he knew very well, namely Sam, Jazz, and Niki. He wondered if Gatomon and Lopmon managed to sneak in with their partners, he hadn't seen them since they were taken to the ambulance.

Agunimon saw the 'specialist' with Andy talking to Dr. Bert Rand. He used his enhanced sense of hearing to hear what they were saying.

"Isn't this one the ghost boy?" The 'specialist' asked.

"No, this is his twin brother. Completely human, though he only has ghostly traits due to the special bugs," Dr. Bert Rand answered quietly. "Take him in with the others."

Agunimon's eyes widened as he heard Dr. Bert Rand's words. Wait… Those ghost bugs were sent to infect the students?! Then… something is going on here! I don't like this… but I need to find out more. Not to mention they know who Danny Phantom is, and talking about someone being 'completely human' already sounds suspicious enough. He looked back at the hospital and frowned beneath his face mask. It looks like I'm going in there… which is a bad idea given I am a Digimon right now, but there is no other choice.

Agunimon snuck away from the ambulance, going to the nearest bushes. He got a good look at the hospital itself. It definitely looked old and abandoned. No actual doctor would bring sick children here of all places, even if they were turning into ghosts.

Okay… how can I get in there? Obviously they won't let just anyone inside… Agunimon thought to himself as he frowned, considering his options. I could try going through one of those windows…

Meanwhile, Danny was riding home with his parents. Maddie and Jack were very troubled, especially knowing one of their kids was hospitalized with an unknown disease.

"I still can't believe Takuya decided to take Andy home without telling us. Doesn't he know how worried we could've been? I thought they were taken to the hospital too!" Maddie grumbled.

"You know that boy, Mads." Jack chuckled. "Takuya looks out for Andy and Danny very seriously. He probably wanted Andy to be safe so he just headed right on home with Andy."

"If that was the case, why leave Danny behind then?" Maddie asked. "Something just doesn't add up."

"B-because, I'm the older brother, Takuya knew it would be important to leave someone behind to let you guys know that they went home early," Danny quickly explained.

"Danny, you're only older by 2 hours," Maddie pointed out.

"It still counts," Danny protested.

"Let's not worry about it, Mads. Andy and Takuya are home, and Danny is fine." Jack reassured his wife with a smile before his smile faded at the memory of Jazz. "But I can't say the same for Jazz. I hope she is going to be okay…"

"I hope Lopmon's taking good care of her…" Maddie sighed. "I wish we could be there for her…"

"Better hope Desiree doesn't hear that…" Patamon whispered. "We don't need more chaos right now."

"Don't I know it…" Danny grumbled.

"What's your plan once you get home? They're going to be wondering where Takuya and Andy are," Patamon asked.

"... It's a work in progress…" Danny sighed.

"Better work fast then, I already see the neon sign of Fenton Works ahead," Patamon pointed out.

Danny groaned. "Okay… All I need to do is put pillows under the blankets on Andy's and Takuya's beds, and that should fool Mom and Dad." He whispered to Patamon. "Make it look like they went to bed already."

"... They would have to be morons to fall for that," Patamon deadpanned.

"You wouldn't believe how dense Mom and Dad can be sometimes…" Danny chuckled sheepishly.

The Family Assault Vehicle parked at the driveway. Danny knew he had to be fast if he wanted this work. As soon as his parents opened the door into their house, Danny hurried in front of them. "Wait! Before you call them, let me go check their rooms real quick to see if they're… uh… home."

Jack blinked, but agreed. "That would be best. If they went to bed, I wouldn't want to wake them."

Maddie sighed. "Just don't wake them if they are asleep."

Danny nodded before he went to Takuya's room first since it was downstairs. As soon as he was in Takuya's room, he closed the door behind him. Patamon flew over to the bed, lifting up the blanket. Danny brought some extra pillows to put under the blanket.

"There… now it looks like someone's sleeping here," Danny said, looking at his handiwork.

"Yeah, if Takuya put on a few extra pounds…" Patamon remarked, chuckling.

Danny went a bit red in the cheeks. "Err… maybe he curled up under the blankets."

Patamon rolled his green eyes. "Come on, we still have Andy's bed to do."

Danny and Patamon went to Andy and Danny's shared room before they went to Andy's bed. Patamon once more flew over to the bed and lifted up the blankets while Danny stuffed extra pillows under it to make it look like Andy was in bed. He paused for a moment, considering something. Then, Danny took Dorumon's Digi-Egg and placed it on the bed next to the pillows. Patamon lowered the blankets, and now it looked like Andy was asleep with Dorumon's Digi-Egg next to him.

"Nice touch with my brother's Digi-Egg." Patamon smiled.

"Well, Andy wouldn't sleep without Dorumon's egg next to him, so why not?" Danny chuckled sheepishly.

Patamon nuzzled Dorumon's egg, missing his brother. Danny walked out of the room to inform his parents that Andy and Takuya were sleeping.

"Already? But it's only 6 o' clock." Jack frowned.

"They must've been tired from everything that's happened," Danny sheepishly explained.

Maddie looked back at Jack. "I can't say I blame Andy and Takuya. The whole thing must have frightened them and that must have made them feel tired after."

"Yeah… in fact…" Danny faked a yawn. "I might turn in as well for tonight. You guys try to keep yourselves busy so you don't start to worry about Jazz."

Jack nodded at Danny. "Okay, Danno."

Maddie sighed. "We might as well work on the Fenton Finder. I want to see if we can get the Digimon tracking function up and running."

Danny decided to make a note to himself to sabotage the Fenton Finder later, or at least give it to Tucker to make it so it wouldn't detect him and Andy.

"Goodnight Mom, goodnight Dad!" Danny said as Maddie and Jack began walking downstairs.

"Goodnight, sweetie! We'll let you know what we find out about your sister's condition in the morning!" Maddie said back.

"Sleep tight, Danno! Don't let the ghost bugs bite! … Literally, don't let them bite," Jack stated.

Danny groaned at his father's pun. "I won't, Dad… And Patamon can protect me if any ghost bugs come find me."

Patamon giggled at Danny's reaction.

When his parents were out of sight, Danny went back to his room and closed the door. He then stuffed pillows under his own bed's blanket. "Alright, I better call Tucker up and tell him and Terriermon to meet us at that hospital."

"What if he doesn't want to come? Because you know… hospitals?" Patamon asked.

Danny sighed. "Tucker might hate hospitals, but when it comes down to it, he is more likely to find a way into one if his friends are in danger. He might complain and groan about it, but he will come to help if any of us need it."

Danny took out his D-Arc and began to call Tucker with it.

Andy frowned when he had been left in a room all alone. When the 'specialist' took him into the hospital, he couldn't help but notice all the cobwebs all over the place, not to mention the dust. It was obvious this hospital hadn't been used in a long time. When the 'specialist' took him into this room, they took a sample of his blood with a syringe. Andy saw his red blood had bits of green ectoplasm mixed in, which shouldn't have come as much of a surprise, but it made him almost wheeze when he saw it. It looked… far too similar… too exact to his brother's blood when he and Takuya took a sample of that.

He was completely alone. No Takuya, no Danny, no Dorumon… Andy shook his head, this wasn't the time to be feeling sorry for himself. He needed to figure out the truth behind all of this. The ghost bugs, the students getting a ghost disease, and why they were brought to this unused hospital. Andy got out of the stretcher, and walked over to the door, opening it.

Andy was immediately greeted by the sight of his fellow Casper High students groaning and moaning, many of them had pale green skin by now. He saw Nathen phasing through the floor, Star floating up to the ceiling, Jake, one of the jocks, having an IV stuck in his arm, but the liquid inside the IV bag looked suspiciously like ectoplasm. He walked past a girl, and a light blue mist came out of her mouth when he did. He saw another student looking at his hands, his hands were glowing a bright neon green color. Andy knew how confused and worried they all felt, seeing this as a real disease.

Another student, Mikey, ran through the walls, as he was intangible. Another girl had her legs turning invisible before reappearing over and over again, and she looked quite terrified.

Other students showed similar ghostly symptoms, making it look like the hospital was a place of horrors.

Then Andy heard Lopmon's frantic voice. "Hold on, Jazz! Please!"

Alarmed, Andy quickly ran to where he heard Lopmon's voice.

"I… I don't… think I can…" Jazz's voice said, sounding weak.

"Jazz! No! Hold on!" Lopmon's voice exclaimed.

Andy turned a sharp left down the hallway, and saw Jazz weakly on her knees, her hands on the stretcher that brought her in here. But to his horror, he saw Jazz's body was literally melting into green goo. Lopmon was looking at her worriedly.

"Andy!" Lopmon noticed. "You've gotta do something!"

"Jazz! What's happening to you? Why are you-" Andy tried to help pick Jazz up, but when he touched her body, he got green goo all over his hands. "... melting?"

"I… I don't know…" Jazz replied weakly. "I feel… off…" She couldn't understand why her body was becoming ectoplasmic goo. "I can't hold anything… And I feel like I'm… fading…"

"Hold on, Jazz! You're not going to fade!" Andy frantically said before he quickly looked around. There's gotta be something…!

Andy noticed an empty, large looking glass jar. It was covered in cobwebs, but it would have to do. Andy rushed to the glass jar and picked it up. He then hurried back to Jazz.

"Lopmon, help me get Jazz's… goo into this jar, hurry!" Andy instructed.

Lopmon nodded. "Right!" He and Andy quickly got to work, getting the gooey parts of Jazz into the jar as she melted completely.

Andy and Lopmon looked into the jar, seeing Jazz's head floating there.

"Jazz… are you… um… okay… ish?" Andy hesitantly asked.

"Y-yeah… I feel fine now… Well, as fine as I can be given my body literally melted away…" Jazz grumbled.

Andy furrowed his eyebrows. "How did this happen?"

"I don't know. None of the other students are melting, it was just her…" Lopmon frowned.

"Someone took a few tests on me, and after that, I started melting…" Jazz sighed. "Maybe they did something that caused my body to destabilize…"

Andy frowned. What… would've happened if Jazz had been in that portal accident instead of Danny or me? Would she have destabilized and melted like that? Would I start melting?

Jazz's floating head looked at Andy. "Andy? You're thinking again…" Her floating head speaking to Andy was a bit creepy to Lopmon, and he shivered.

"Look, you just melted in front of me, and now you're a floating, talking head! This is really stressful!" Andy hissed.

"I can't say I blame Andy…" Lopmon muttered.

Jazz frowned. "Andy… just try to calm down. I know it's stressful, but this isn't normal. I can tell that much. If you are in here, maybe you can try to find out what is going on. You don't look like you're sick, you seem to be walking around just fine."

"For now…" Andy grumbled. "I could start melting at any point like you did."

"Look, while you're still whole, why don't you try to find out what's going on?" Jazz suggested.

"Yeah… I will. That's why I was walking around in the first place," Andy sighed. "Lopmon, stay with Jazz, okay?"

Lopmon nodded. "I will. Just be careful, Andy."

"I'll come back for you, Jazz, when I figure out how to cure this… ghost disease," Andy promised his sister.

"I know you will," Jazz replied. "Just stay safe…"

Andy nodded before he started walking down the dusty halls again.

Agunimon, now clad in his armor again, was climbing the hospital building, careful of the weak structure. Some of the exterior was deteriorated enough to fall apart. He was trying to get to one of the higher windows so nobody would hear him coming in. Then something caught Agunimon by surprise.

There was a scream, and what appeared to be electricity. He looked back, seeing Danny Phantom falling to the ground.

As much as he wanted to go and see if his cousin was okay, Agunimon knew he had to get into the hospital. Danny will be fine… He's half ghost, he can take a pounding and get back up. Agunimon reminded himself. Although… a ghost shield of some kind around this place is even more suspicious than just bringing students here.

While Agunimon was climbing, Tucker, who was standing beside Danny, gave a nervous grin. "Well, guess we'll have to come back during visiting hours… or, perhaps, not at all."

"Come on, don't be such a big baby!" Terriermon said, knocking Tucker upside the head with one of his ears.

"I just hate hospitals…" Tucker grumbled.

"Well, the fact the hospital has a ghost shield gives us all the more reason to get in there." Danny retorted as he got to his feet.

Patamon was dazed as he came out of Danny's backpack. "Ugh… so… what does that mean for us then?"

"If I can't get in as a ghost, I will have to get in like a kid." Danny replied with a serious look. He transformed back from his ghost form to his human form. "C'mon. I think I know how I can get in."

"Do we have to?" Tucker groaned.

"Yes!" Danny sighed. "Look, you don't have to go in. I still need you and Terriermon out here in case we need back up."

Tucker sighed. "Okay. That I can accept." He admitted.

Danny then looked at Tucker. "Do you have the Fenton Utility Weapon with you?"

Tucker reached in and took out what looked like a lipstick.

"Why can't you just call it the Lipstick Laser? Because that's what it is," Terriermon remarked with a cheeky grin.

"Because my Dad named it," Danny rolled his eyes.

"His dad isn't the best at naming things, and of course, it always has to have the name 'Fenton' in it," Patamon chuckled before going back into Danny's backpack.

"Alright, Tuck, let's make this look good," Danny said before he jumped into Tucker's arms.

Danny then faked being unconscious as Tucker carried him up to the main entrance. The two 'specialists' in front stopped the duo.

"This area is restricted. No admittance." The first 'specialist' said as they held up a hand. Terriermon frowned at hearing the voice; it sounded fake, synthesized in a way.

What do they really sound and look like under all that stuff? Terriermon wondered.

"It's not for me, it's for my friend." Tucker replied in a worried voice. "He's really sick and needs to be in the hospital!" The fear he had of hospitals was really coming in handy for making him sound worried for Danny.

"It's alright, guards, stand down," A voice spoke up, making the two buff 'specialists' make a path.

Dr. Bert Rand walked in front of Tucker, grinning his creepy grin. "So, tell me… has this young man been exhibiting any ghost-like symptoms?"

Hearing that, Danny made himself go invisible for a second or two, before flickering back to being visible. He then gave a moan as Tucker put Danny down, letting Danny stumble into Dr. Bert Rand's arms.

Dr. Bert Rand was quick to grab Danny into his arms. "Oh, you poor sick human child! It's worse than I thought!" Dr. Bert Rand said, still grinning that creepy grin of his. Once he was holding Danny in his arms, the doctor gave a thumbs up that went unseen by Tucker and Terriermon.

Above, in another window, a form gave a thumbs up as well before drifting out of sight.

Dr. Bert Rand then began carrying Danny into the hospital, leaving Tucker and Terriermon outside.

"Good luck…" Tucker whispered.

Andy opened the door to another room, and he saw Niki in there. She was shivering under some dusty and old looking blankets.

"Niki!" Andy spoke up.

Niki looked up at Andy. "Andy…?" She didn't sound so good. "Ugh… What's going on?" She gasped as that light blue mist escaped her mouth. "I hate this thing coming from my mouth…"

"That? That's a ghost sense," Andy said, watching the blue mist floating past him.

"You know what it is?" Niki asked, surprised.

"I've… studied some ghosts, you know, since I'm a Fenton and all," Andy answered, which wasn't a lie, he had been studying Danny, who was a ghost, and he is a Fenton.

Niki accepted the explanation. "So why do I have it? And why is it coming out of my mouth so often?" She gasped as it escaped again. "Ugh…"

"Well… considering it's called a ghost sense, it means you're sensing a lot of ghosts, or ghost-like entities. Considering how everyone seems to be… showing a lot of ghost symptoms… I'm not surprised it's coming out as often as it is," Andy explained. Huh… surprised mine hasn't been reacting as much.

"Someone here had better come up with a cure soon then…" Niki grumbled. "This doesn't feel right… why would we be brought here, and who is that Dr. Bert Rand? He can't be a doctor, not with the way he is grinning so much…"

"That bug bite gave you ghost symptoms," Andy said. "I take it nobody explained anything to you?"

"No. They just brought me in here and did a test, then just left." Niki replied. "That disturbs me… greatly. This has got to be a government conspiracy, and they're trying to cover this up, I just know it!"

"Well… that's… one theory," Andy sweatdropped. "But I am trying to figure out what's going on here…"

"Really? Don't you feel too woozy or sick to move around? I know I do… otherwise I'd be looking around too," Niki sighed.

"Thankfully it hasn't hit me that hard yet," Andy replied. "I'll keep looking around though. You just try to hang in there."

Niki nodded. "Okay, Andy. Just be careful." She said with worry in her voice. "Just remember, don't look at a device someone may have, it's meant to erase your memory!"

"I'll keep that in mind," Andy said before he walked out of Niki's room. Okay, so… whoever's behind this obviously wants something from these kids. I doubt it's the ghost 'powers', especially if they were the ones who sent the bugs to infect them in the first place.

Andy looked around the hallway. If only I knew where to go…

"Super nerd coming through!" Mikey shouted as he was running towards Andy while intangible.

"Whoa! Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Andy jumped out of the way before reaching out, his arm turning intangible and grabbed Mikey's shirt. "Be careful with that! You could've overshadowed me with that stunt!"

Mikey blinked. "Andy? What are you doing in here?" He asked.

"Uh… same reason as you? I have 'superpowers'," Andy sarcastically replied, letting go of Mikey's shirt and showing his intangible arm.

Mikey grinned. "Isn't this awesome!? I can run through walls and even fly!" As if on cue, Mikey began to float up into the air.

Thankfully, Mikey's body dropped the intangibility, so he ended up hitting the ceiling instead of going through it. "Though the ceiling is a bit annoying."

"Can you even control it?" Andy asked, returning his own arm to normal.

"I've been trying, but with limited success…" Mikey admitted. His left leg then turned invisible. "Aw man! I need my leg!"

Watching Mikey's body parts disappearing made Andy a little paranoid about his own body parts. Ironically, despite trying to deny his own ghost… symptoms, he had been trying to learn to better control them a little, mostly so they wouldn't keep acting up and giving him trouble. Andy pat himself to make sure he was still all there, visible and tangible. Thankfully, he was.

"Okay… well, uh… good luck with your new 'superpowers,'" Andy said as he started walking away. Now where to-

"RUN! RUN FOR OUR LIVES!" Several voices that sounded just like Kwan screamed.

"What the…?" Andy blinked before he saw a stampede of Kwans running towards him. "Oh… you've gotta be kidding me!"

The Kwans came charging right at Andy, who was right in their path. The poor boy wasn't sure if he would sink into the ground to escape the Kwan stampede, or if someone would yank him out of the way.

Since Andy didn't have enough control to just will himself intangible or fly up out of the way, he decided to avoid the Kwans the normal way; by running in the opposite direction. The hallways were too small and cramped for him to go around the Kwans. Andy kept running, he didn't have time to try to open the doors to other rooms or he would get trampled. All the Kwan clones appeared to be in a panic and didn't seem to notice him… either that or he was invisible again.

Andy then saw he was coming up to one door that was open, and he quickly ran into the room, avoiding the Kwan stampede. He panted, trying to catch his breath. That was too close…

Then something broke the window, shattering the glass. Andy's head snapped up at the window, seeing a huge figure climbing in.

However, the figure was recognized once the form's head was seen. It was Agunimon, and he grunted as he pulled himself inside the room. "Ugh… Really should have found an easier way inside…" He muttered as he fell to the floor on his back.

"Agunimon! Boy am I glad to see you. It's crazy in this hospital!" Andy perked up in relief. "I almost got ran over by a stampede of Kwans!"

Agunimon perked up at seeing Andy. "You what?" He rolled over and sat up before getting to his feet. "A stampede of Kwans?"

"Come on," Andy gestured for Agunimon to follow him. "Look…"

Andy opened the door wider for Agunimon to see the other students in the hallway. "It's getting worse."

Agunimon frowned as he saw this. "You're right… And someone is behind this. I don't know who yet, but it's clear someone wanted the students in one place for some reason."

"Yeah… a little while ago, Jazz melted…" Andy sighed.

Hearing that, Agunimon had horror cross his face. "She… melted…?" He whispered.

"She's still… alive, but… just come with me," Andy sighed.

As Andy was leading Agunimon down the hallway, a black and white blur flew past them. Andy let out a small gasp as a dark blue mist came out of his mouth. He put his hand over his mouth, wondering why his ghost sense suddenly reacted now.

"What was that?" Agunimon asked, mostly about the black and white blur.

"Not sure… but come on, Jazz isn't far from here," Andy said.

Agunimon was right behind Andy. He had decided to ditch the disguise since he had figured climbing in through the window was a good way to get in, and he was now back in his armor. "So… Jazz is still alive, but melted? That sounds… weird…"

"Well, brace yourself, it gets weirder," Andy warned before he stopped in front of a stretcher with a giant glass jar on top of it.

Agunimon saw Lopmon sitting beside the glowing green jar. But his attention was the thing floating inside the jar; Jazz's head.

"J-Jazz?" Agunimon stammered out; horror was clearly showing on his face. He knelt down by the jar, shaking slightly.

"Takuya?" Jazz blinked.

"Hey, Agunimon…" Lopmon greeted.

"Jazz… what happened? How did you get like this?" Agunimon asked, concerned now.

"I… don't really know. One minute, one of the specialists took some tests on me… then the next, I was melting. Andy and Lopmon put me in this jar to keep me from… well… spreading out all over the floor," Jazz answered.

Hearing this, Agunimon felt anger rush through him and he wound up gritting his teeth, revealing his sharp fangs as he looked at the floor; the gesture was not directed at Jazz, but rather at the ones who put this sick plan into motion.

Too angry to sit still, Agunimon began running off down the hall.

"Agunimon! Wait! Don't go off by yourself!" Andy shouted, trying to run after him.

But Agunimon didn't stop, he kept running down the hallway, blinded by rage. As a Digimon, he was far faster than Andy was on foot.

Andy groaned and stopped, unable to keep up with his hotheaded cousin. "You better not burn down the building, you hothead!"

Andy grumbled as he turned back to Jazz.

"Listen, Andy… Danny was here earlier," Lopmon spoke up.

"He was?" Andy blinked, surprised by this news, then again he should've known Danny would've found his way in here eventually. "Where did he go?"

"Danny went to check out a scream that was heard earlier." Jazz replied. "He flew off in…" Jazz paused, realizing she had no hands to point with. "Um… the direction of the scream."

"I'm going to need a little more information than that…" Andy deadpanned.

"Didn't you hear the scream?" Lopmon asked.

"I was a little busy running for my life…" Andy grumbled. Wait… could that black and white blur have been… Danny?

Lopmon pointed in the direction the scream had come from. "Danny went in this direction."

"Thanks, I'll see if I can meet up with him," Andy said before he began running in the direction Lopmon pointed him to.

However, as Andy was passing by Calvin, who looked really green, and just accidentally shot down a TV screen with laser eyes, Andy saw someone coming in his direction.

Thinking fast, Andy ran behind a wall, and peeked out. He saw Dr. Bert Rand rushing someone lying unconscious on a stretcher. Andy's eyes went wide as he recognized the unconscious figure; it was Danny, who was currently in his human form. Danny! What happened? Why is he unconscious? What's that so-called doctor going to do to him?

Not wanting to leave a very vulnerable Danny in the hands of this not-so-trustworthy 'doctor', Andy hurried after Dr. Bert Rand, but was also trying to be careful not to get seen. Where's Patamon? Did he get knocked out too?

There was no sign of Patamon, or Danny's backpack for that matter. It was just Danny and Dr. Bert Rand, with Andy following them without being seen.

Andy kept following them until Dr. Bert Rand brought Danny into another room. Andy stopped by the door, carefully peeking inside.

Dr. Bert Rand stopped wheeling Danny in, stepping away and grinning that sinister grin. Then Dr. Bert Rand's body changed, morphing into a much shorter man, a very familiar looking man.

Bertrand? … Bert Rand… It's so obvious that it works somehow… Andy frowned. But if Bertand is here, does that mean Spectra's here too? I haven't seen them since that whole teen therapist incident.

"The main dish is here, Spectra~" Bertrand grinned at someone in the shadows.

"Good~" A familiar voice purred as out came a shadow-like ghost that was female in appearance. "I've been waiting for this…"

"Should we do it now while he's still unconscious?" Bertrand asked.

"Not quite yet. I want this to also be my revenge," The shadow ghost, Spectra, replied. "I need him to be awake for that."

Andy gave a silent sigh of relief. That should give me some time to figure out what to do.

"What about that blood sample we took from his brother? Wouldn't that suffice?" Bertrand asked.

"No, of course not. Just because one of my bugs gave him ghost powers doesn't mean he's actually half ghost. I need an actual, stable, half ghost DNA to keep my form stable, so it never burns out and never grows old," Spectra explained.

Andy's eyes went wide in horror. … Shit… if she finds out what's in my blood… oh crap, crap, crap… I have to get that sample away from her before she actually checks it!

Spectra had no idea Andy was there, or that he was panicking, her attention was on Danny. "Besides, I want to make sure those Digimon won't be able to find me so easily, especially that fiery one. Whenever the ghost boy is in the area, that one fiery Digimon seems to be in the area as well."

"The boy should awaken soon," Bertrand promised before he pushed a button on the stretcher Danny was laying in, and two straps came onto Danny's body, restraining him in. The straps were glowing green, showing that they were likely intangible proof.

Andy looked around in the room from the door while Spectra and Bertrand were busy chatting with each other. He saw a table beside Danny, full of sharp, very uncomfortable tools that were likely used for surgery. Andy really hoped Spectra wasn't planning on cutting Danny open. However, there was also a syringe on that table, a syringe that had blood in its container.

Is that my blood? Why would Bertrand put it there? Was he planning on analyzing it? Andy frowned. I have to get my brother out of here, I also need to get that syringe away from Spectra.

"Speaking of that fiery Digimon, he's here right now, screaming for the 'evil masterminds behind all this' in the hospital," Bertrand informed. "Should I take care of it?"

Spectra grinned. "While that would be ideal, let him come and find us. This way, we can eliminate him and break the ghost boy at the same time~"

Andy backed away from the door, trying to figure out what to do. They were obviously expecting Agunimon, and Danny was trapped. He wasn't sure what happened to Patamon, it was likely he was left behind somewhere.

He noticed his hands went invisible again. Andy frowned a little, before he looked back at all the students. An idea forming in his head.

Andy ran over to Mikey, who was looking at his glowing hands in fascination.

"Hey, Mikey, you want to show off your… erm, superpowers, right?" Andy grinned.

Mikey blinked. "Uh… yeah, why?" He asked, confused.

"What if I told you there are two people who would love to see you use your powers?" Andy asked.

"Really? Who?" Mikey asked, sounding excited.

"Hey, could I show off too? I think I got the intangibility charging down!" A tuba player student asked, still having his big tuba around his body.

"Sure, the more the merrier. We may get to see if there are any differences between your powers," Andy said. "In fact…"

Andy turned to Star, who was floating nearby. "Star, why don't you show them how it's done? Maybe get some of the jocks too?"

Star blinked. "Really?" She scoffed. "I have the best power! I will show those losers why I got the ability to float."

"Hah! If anyone's showing off, it'll be me!" Calvin spoke up. "I got the eye lasers! Nothing's cooler than that!"

Andy walked over to the doors where Spectra and Bertrand were. "Okay, how about you let these two be the judge of that?"

"Shouldn't we stay in our rooms though? It is a hospital after all, and we're sick, aren't we?" Nathen asked.

"Nah!" The other students shrugged him off.

"Well, go ahead," Andy gestured to the door.

Calvin opened the door, pride on his face. "Let's go and see who has the best powers!" He exclaimed to the other students who were gathered around.

"What the-!?" Andy grinned when he heard Bertrand shouting in shock. "Uh- what are you all doing in here? This is the operation room!"

"We want to know who has the best powers!" Calvin's voice exclaimed.

"Yeah! Tell these losers I have the best power!" Star's voice demanded.

"No, me!" Mikey's voice yelled. "I can go through walls!"

"I have eye lasers, dweeb!" Calvin's voice shot back in anger with a huff.

While Bertrand, posing as Dr. Bert Rand, was trying to get the students under control, and Spectra probably hiding somewhere, Andy took a deep breath.

Okay… it shouldn't be hard to do… I don't want to be seen. I want to get in there without being seen… I am invisible. Andy chanted in his mind.

Andy looked down at his body, and grinned when he saw he couldn't see himself. He was able to turn his body invisible. Okay… looks like it worked. Now the next part of the plan…

Although ghosts could sense each other, with so many of the students-turning-ghosts in one place, neither Bertrand nor Spectra would be able to sense him so easily in the mix. And the students were keeping their attention occupied, which was a very nice bonus. Andy was quickly moving towards Danny.

Almost there… Andy picked up the syringe, put it into his pocket, and carefully grabbed onto Danny's stretcher to try to wheel him out.

Unfortunately, just as Andy was beginning to pull Danny's stretcher, there was a certain loud voice coming their way.

"Where are you?!" The voice demanded angrily. The speaker was not too happy. "Show yourselves!"

Suddenly, fire busted open the doors, and a very angry Agunimon was growling, showing his fangs. The other students saw Agunimon, screamed in fear and panic, and quickly ran out the other door. Leaving Dr. Bert Rand, an invisible Andy, an unconscious Danny, and a hiding Spectra in the room.

Agunimon glared at Dr. Bert Rand. "There you are!" He hissed. Looking back behind Dr. Bert Rand, Agunimon's eyes went wide as he realized that was Danny on the stretcher. "W-Wha…. Danny?!"

No! Nononono! Go back, you idiot! Andy mentally screamed at Agunimon.

"Danny!" Agunimon yelled as he tried to get Danny to wake up, but there was no movement from the boy. However, Agunimon didn't leave. Instead, he ran into the room, his intent on getting Danny out clear.

Suddenly, Agunimon hit an ecto wall and fell backwards.

"Now, now, that's just rude," Dr. Bert Rand said with his creepy smile. "You should know better than to interfere with a doctor's business with a patient. I'm afraid I'll have to ask you to leave… permanently."

Agunimon looked up, blood running down from where he had smacked into the ecto-wall; he had a bloody nose, but it was not broken. "Sorry, pal, but no can do!" Agunimon hissed as he got back to his feet.

Andy knew he had to do something, Spectra obviously had something planned to get rid of Agunimon, and he needed to get Agunimon to leave without attracting attention to himself. But how!?

Andy looked down at his unconscious brother. He leaned down, hesitating. Will this even work? I don't think Agunimon would really listen anyways even if it did. But still, if I linger here any longer, they're bound to sense me. I have to at least try… Ugh… sorry about this, bro.

Andy managed to turn his body intangible, but thankfully he wasn't falling through the floor for once. He hesitated a little more, before hearing Agunimon trying to punch through the ecto wall. Andy made a dive into Danny's chest, going into his body.

"Let him go!" Agunimon exclaimed as he pounded both his fists against the ecto-wall. "Let him go! Just let him go!" It was clear the Warrior of Flame was getting more and more worried, if not frantic, about Danny.

"Or what?" Dr. Bert Rand grinned.

'Danny' suddenly opened his eyes, though his irises were purple instead of blue. He looked over at Agunimon and shouted. "Get out of here, right now!"

Agunimon's gaze snapped over to Danny, staring in shock at the fact that Danny was awake. "Danny!" He exclaimed, obvious relief passing through his voice.

Dr. Bert Rand looked surprised to see 'Danny' was awake too. Odd, he wasn't supposed to wake up for another 10 minutes.

"Just hold on, Danny! I'll get you out of there!" Agunimon said as he looked right at 'Danny'.

"Don't! You just get out of here! I can take care of myself, but you need to leave! They're going to kill you!" 'Danny' frantically warned.

Hearing that, Agunimon paused. Wait… what?! He hadn't expected that from Danny. "Danny, wait! I can't just leave you!" I don't know if that's true, but I can't just leave Danny either...

"How are you awake?!" Dr. Bert Rand snapped, looking at Danny.

"Get out of my face, you creep!" 'Danny' snapped.

"Now, now, let's all settle down~" Spectra spoke up, floating towards Agunimon with some kind of container.

'Danny' looked at the container, a warning vision came into his head. He saw Spectra spraying Agunimon with some kind of green, and Agunimon started screaming in pain, his body smoking, his armor cracking, and his fractal code showing. Whatever was in that container was extremely painful for a Digimon.

"Agunimon! Get your butt out of here NOW!" 'Danny' shouted frantically.

It was then Agunimon noticed something off about Danny; his eyes… they were glowing purple.

Before Agunimon could react to Danny's odd eye color though, his sense regarding danger pricked up, sending a tingling feeling down the base of his skull and spine. Reacting, Agunimon dove to the side, just as a green mist/foam splattered on the ground where he had been mere seconds ago. He stared in shock at the green stuff. Okay… something tells me I'd better book it so I don't get hit by that...

However, before Agunimon could escape, Bertrand transformed himself into a green puddle under Agunimon. Agunimon slipped and tripped over the puddle, making him fall on his back. Spectra grinned as she floated above him.

"Say goodnight, Warrior of Flame," Spectra sinisterly remarked.

Seeing his cousin in danger, Andy came out of his brother's body, which fell unconscious again, and jumped at Agunimon. With surprising strength, Andy managed to push Agunimon out of the way just as Spectra sprayed the container, covering Andy in something green.

Agunimon grunted as he landed on the ground; he knew he had been shoved out of the way by someone, or something, but as to who, or what, it was, he had no idea. Looking back behind him, Agunimon could see something was covered in the green stuff Spectra had sprayed at him earlier. "W-what the…?"

"You?" Spectra growled in surprise and annoyance.

"Eeew… what is this stuff?" Andy groaned before his body turned intangible, making the green gunk fall off of his body before he returned to being solid.

Agunimon blinked in surprise. Wait… that was Andy who shoved me out of the way? "Andy?!"

Before Agunimon could do anything, Bertrand shoved a breathing mask on his nose and mouth. Agunimon felt sudden weakness go through his body, and he felt drowsy.

"You need to take a little nap," Bertrand growled at Agunimon.

Agunimon struggled to stay awake and fight off Bertrand, trying to remove the mask, but it was to no avail. He found he could not stay awake, and the last thing he saw was Bertrand grinning sinisterly at him as everything finally went black.

"Let him go!" Andy demanded.

"Why should we?" Spectra hissed. "How did you get in here?"

Andy looked at the container Spectra was holding, he knew he needed to get rid of that before they hurt his cousin. His hands started glowing with ecto energy, seeing this, Andy decided to use this to his advantage. He grabbed onto the container with his hands, which released the ecto energy, causing the container to shatter and green gunk fell to the floor.

"I won't let you hurt him!" Andy snapped, his own eyes glowing purple right at Spectra's glowing red eyes.

"You… how are you able to control your powers if that bug bit you?!" Spectra demanded.

"I'm not controlling anything, maybe I'm just getting lucky," Andy retorted.

Spectra dropped her now broken container and launched at Andy. Andy was pinned to the floor. He glared at Spectra before shoving his foot on her torso, pushing her off of him.

"Something's different about you," Spectra noted before she began to grin. "And you don't like it, do you?"

"Shut up," Andy snapped.

"Oh, but you must be feeling uncomfortable with this new change. After all, things changing is part of life, but it doesn't have to always be accepted, even if it is happening." Spectra purred.

"You don't know anything." Andy hissed. "Your own stupid ghost bugs are doing this."

"Is that so? Or is that just what you are telling yourself, because you are afraid of what is going on with you?" Spectra asked in what sounded like a soothing voice.

Andy shut his eyes to focus for a moment, feeling energy building up in his hands again. He was not used to this, but he needed it to work right now. Spectra blinked before Andy shot out ghost rays from his hands at her, this caught her off guard and she hit the wall.

Andy frowned as he started realizing what he was doing with these ghost symptoms. He just willingly used them to fire ghost rays at Spectra, as Danny would. He looked at his hands, seeing they were still glowing.

Spectra floated back up, now eyeing Andy critically. "For someone who was 'bitten' by one of my ghost bugs, you have an awful lot of luck," She then sneered. "Or is it because you are able to control those powers of yours?"

Andy shook his head before he took out the Fenton Rod from his pocket, and extended it. "Why don't you come down here and we'll discuss it then?"

Spectra growled as Andy prepared to smack her with the accursed Fenton Rod that was also crackling with electricity.

"Oh? I wouldn't try it, if I were you, boy." Bertrand's voice said. "Not unless you want your digital friend here to bite it." Bertrand was holding an unconscious Agunimon, with a knife to the Legendary Warrior's neck.

Andy frowned, seeing that even with armor, Agunimon wasn't immune to having his throat slit. "Let him go!"

"First, put down your weapon," Bertrand instructed.

Andy gripped his Fenton Rod tightly. Bertrand had the knife closer to Agunimon's neck. Seeing this, Andy sighed in defeat before letting go of his Fenton Rod, letting it clang onto the floor.

Bertrand grinned. "Now was that so hard?" He sneered. He removed the knife from Agunimon's throat, but he still kept a grip on the Warrior of Flame.

"I believe we have two more new patients, don't you think so, Dr. Bert Rand?" Spectra grinned.

Bertrand, now in his disguise of Dr. Bert Rand, grinned back. "Oh, I do believe we do~" He replied with that creepy grin on his face again.

Andy put his hands into his pocket, pushing a button on his D-Arc.

"Ugh…" Danny stirred. "Where am I…?"

Danny opened his eyes, only to see he was in some kind of operation room. He could see he was strapped to a stretcher, with the straps glowing green. He struggled against the straps, but to no avail; he was unable to get out of them, and he couldn't turn intangible to get away either.

"Save it, kid, those restraints are ghost proof, you're in for the duration," Bertrand stated as he floated in front of Danny.

Danny looked at the table beside him, seeing all sorts of razor sharp tools. Bertrand grinned as he floated away.

Danny then noticed Agunimon was strapped on another stretcher further away from him, though these restraints were glowing red instead of green.

"T- Agunimon?" Danny questioned.

Finally, after a few moments of silence, a groan escaped Agunimon as he regained consciousness. His eyes fluttered open, revealing his blue eyes. He groaned as he shut his eyes, his head pounding. "Ugh… what hit me?" He muttered. It was then the Warrior of Flame felt the restraints. "W-what the?" He blinked as he stared at the glowing restraints before he began to squirm against them. "What is this?"

"Very strong restraints for fiery Digimon like you," Bertrand answered.

Agunimon growled at Bertrand, showing his fangs in anger. "That was a sneaky trick… gassing me like that…"

"They gassed you too?" Danny frowned. "Where's Andy? Wasn't he with you?"

Agunimon paled at the question. "Last I knew he was, but after I was knocked out… I don't know what happened to him…" He admitted at last.

"While you two lazy bones have been sleeping, I was trying to make sure neither of you got your gooses cooked," a familiar, annoyed voice said from behind them.

Danny and Agunimon had to lift up their heads to try to see behind them. They saw another stretcher with someone tied to it, with glowing green restraints like Danny.

"Andy?" Danny asked. "Is that you?"

Agunimon could sense it was indeed Andy. "What happened, Andy?"

Andy gave a deadpanned expression. "We were captured, what does it look like?"

Agunimon sighed. "Great…" He muttered before he looked at his own restraints again and frowned.

"So, what do you plan to do with us?" Danny asked sarcastically.

"Well, I plan to try to get us out," Andy responded.

"Not you," Danny grumbled. "Them!"

Suddenly, bright lights blinded Danny, Agunimon, and Andy for a moment. They forced open their eyes before the lights were moved out of their faces, and Spectra floated in front of them, grinning.

"Why, hello there, Danny. It's been a while, hasn't it?" Spectra grinned.

"Spectra?!" Danny asked. "You were behind the ghost bugs?!"

Meanwhile, outside of the hospital, Tucker and Terriermon were waiting in the bushes. Tucker sighed, "It's been a long time, hasn't it?"

"Yeah… I'm getting worried, aren't you?" Terriermon asked.

"Spooky hospital… ghosts guarding the joint… but there isn't any sign of Danny being in any real danger yet, right?" Tucker said, thinking optimistically.

Then Tucker's D-Arc vibrated. He frowned before he reached in and took out the device, seeing he had a message.

"That's odd… and it's from… Andy?" Tucker muttered. He brought up the message. "'So, we kinda got screwed over, and are now captives of Spectra and Bertrand- oh yeah, they're the ones behind everything. So please come into the hospital and HELP us, TUCKER FOLEY. Thank you.'"

Tucker groaned out loud. "That was definitely Andy… And they need us…" Tucker muttered under his breath. "But… it wasn't like a real scream for help… was it?"

"Are you serious?" Terriermon asked. "Here, listen to this."

Terriermon lifted up his big ears before pushing a button on the D-Arc. Tucker could hear Danny's voice.

"Let us go! HELP! TUCKER!"

Tucker sighed. "Aw nuts…" He muttered before he steeled himself for what he was about to do. "Danny and Andy owe me big time for this when we get him and the others out…"

"On the plus side, do you know what this means?" Terriermon grinned. "It's gun bunny time!"

Tucker blinked before he grinned. "You know what? You're right!" He remarked with a smile as he held up his D-Arc. The device glowed as fractal code surrounded Terriermon. "Terriermon, digivolve to…" Terriermon began to lose his own skin, on his face, and then his legs lost their skin as well. His ears also lost their skin before his skin began to come back, but on his legs and feet first. Terriermon's legs gained green pants with a belt and bullets around his chest. Two large gauntlets that were guns appeared on his hands. The skin on Terriermon's head and face came back, just as a green mask appeared around his upper face as well. "Gargomon!"

Now evolved, Gargomon hefted his gun-hands with a smirk. "You ready to blast some ghostly guards?"

Tucker held up the Lipstick Laser and his canister of Foley. "Yup! The cavalry is coming… whether he wants to or not."

Tucker hopped up onto Gargomon's shoulders and Gargomon approached the entrance with the two ghost guards.

The ghost guards blinked, looking surprised. Tucker grinned and began to spray himself with his Foley body spray.

As soon as the body spray reached the ghost guards, they began to cough, which was unexpected.

Tucker frowned. "Oh, please! You're ghosts! Do you have any idea what you smell like?" He retorted.

"Actually they don't usually have a smell," Gargomon said. "But they will become goop soon! Gargo Pellets!"

Gargomon began shooting his energy blasts at the two coughing ghosts. "Now this is fun!"

"Alright, Gargomon!" Tucker cheered before he aimed the lipstick laser and fired the beam from it at the two guards as well. The Gargo Pellets and the lipstick laser blew the two ghosts away, turning them into ecto-goop, as well as blasting open the doors.

With the guards out of the way, Gargomon walked into the hospital. Tucker, now nervous because they were inside the hospital, grabbed onto Gargomon's head, shivering.

"Calm down, you're acting like this place is haunted or something," Gargomon rolled his eyes before a student phased through the ground right in front of them. "... Okay, maybe it is haunted. Is… uh… is he coming back up here?"

"I-I'm not s-s-sure…" Tucker stammered out. "L-let's just find the o-others please… The sooner we get them out of here, the better..."

"Tucker? Gargomon?" Sam's voice suddenly called out.

"Ah, glad we found someone," Gatomon's voice said.

Tucker and Gargomon saw Gatomon standing there, holding an unconscious Patamon in her claws, and holding Sam's foot with her tail while Sam was just floating there like a balloon.

Tucker couldn't help but grin. "There you are!" He then laughed a bit. "And you call me an airhead sometimes!"

Sam did not look happy at that comment. "You do realize the vile things I could do to you from up here, right?" She huffed.

"Don't worry, I still have you so you won't go floating off into the ceiling," Gatomon reassured.

"Is that Patamon? What happened to him? Where's Danny?" Gargomon asked in concern.

"We found Patamon unconscious in the room I last saw Danny in." Sam replied. "But I fell asleep and when I woke up, Danny was gone. I think someone put us to sleep and took Danny."

"There was the smell of gas before we all fell asleep, so Sam may be right. We've been trying to find Danny, but we don't know where to start looking. Not to mention…" Gatomon frowned when Sam's body went intangible, which made her slip through Gatomon's tail.

Sam's body floated up to the ceiling, though thankfully her body returned to being solid before smacking into the ceiling. She did not want to know what would happen if she phased through the ceiling and kept going into the open skies.

"Sam's ghost symptoms are getting worse." Gatomon finished.

"That makes me pretty much useless." Sam sighed. "Not to mention there are cameras and guards everywhere, like someone doesn't want us to get out or something."

"It's a hospital, Sam, it's always been the root of evil," Tucker grumbled.

"Nah, that's just you, though you may be right in this case," Gargomon sighed. "We're going to need a sneakier way to get through this place."

Tucker looked around for anything that could be of use, and then he saw it. "But there's no cameras in there!" He exclaimed as he pointed at the vent. "If you could open that vent Sam, I could sneak around unseen, and Gargomon could hide himself as a doctor or orderly of some kind to move around easier."

Sam looked at the vent Tucker was pointing at, and one good thing about having these ghost symptoms was that she now had the strength of a ghost. She grabbed the vent and easily pulled it open. "Alright, it's open."

"You better be careful. I'll keep an eye on Sam and Patamon while you two look for Danny and the others," Gatomon promised.

Tucker nodded. "Okay. Just be careful, and um… if you can, just… don't float away, Sam." He then made his way to the vent, picked up a chair, and put it under the open vent before pulling himself into the vent. "Okay. Gargomon, try to find a disguise for yourself. I will be in the vents."

"I specialize in disguises!" Gargomon stated proudly before he began digging in a large bin.

Meanwhile, Danny and Agunimon were glaring at Spectra, Andy was looking back since he was a little further away.

"What do you want?" Danny demanded.

"What everybody wants, Danny." Spectra purred. "And for me, that means being beautiful."

Agunimon couldn't help but snort at the reasoning. "Talk about vain…" He muttered.

"Though she has a point, a lot of people are often self conscious about how they look, why do you think most of the popular girls are all 'beautiful'? And all the jocks are all 'big manly muscular dudes'?" Andy remarked. At least Spectra's in a monologuing mood, so we'll know what she's been up to.

Spectra grinned at Andy's words. "And that is why I am assembling this." She said as she wheeled Danny's stretcher over to a locker. She stopped the stretcher and opened the locker, revealing what looked to be a suit of human skin.

What…? Ghosts can make human suits now? Andy frowned. This has Five Nights of Terror written all over it.

"A brand new me, fashioned by the best teens' genetics~" Spectra bragged.

Agunimon frowned as he observed this. This can't be a good sign… He thought to himself.

"And the ghost bugs? The virus?" Danny asked as he glared at the former therapist.

"They were a part of her plan," Andy spoke up, having put together what Spectra was doing. "She needed a way to bring all the students in one place, away from the adults. A sudden pandemic was the perfect way of doing it."

Spectra clapped at Andy's words. "And your brother wins the prize! Yes, it was a part of my plan. By getting the students away from the adults, and in here, I could get their best traits! Jazz's brains, Calvin's muscles, Paulina's nearly flawless skin, all of it!"

"Nearly flawless?" Danny raised an eyebrow at that last part.

"She has a mole, isn't it obvious?" Spectra deadpanned.

"Ah-ha! I knew there was something!" Andy grinned. "She was totally hiding it!"

Agunimon groaned at that comment from Andy. If I wasn't strapped down, I would so smack him upside the head right now...

"But what about the other students?" Andy suddenly asked. "You didn't need all of them, did you? Why not just take the 'better' ones?"

"Silly boy! If I took just a handful of them, it would have ruined my plans, it would've been too suspicious. So, I had to send out my ghost bugs to infect the entire student body. More students infected means less suspicion for my real plans." Spectra pointed out before she floated over to a large circle with double doors, she then pushed a button which opened the doors.

Inside the doors was something glowing green brightly on the other side. Spectra pushed Danny in front of it.

"What about the ghost powers?" Danny asked. "How do those factor into your plans?"

"Oh, those are just a side-effect. Eventually, the powers will become too much for their bodies and they will all become burned out, little withered husks." Spectra said as she pushed Danny's stretcher to the open room.

Hearing Spectra's words made Agunimon gasp. He remembered Jazz, how she had become ecto-goo save for her head, and that sent worry rushing through him, as well as anger. "You dumb B-" He was cut off by Spectra whirling around and smacking him across the face.

"There's no need to be so vulgar here~" Spectra purred before she resumed pushing Danny towards the glowing room.

They'll all burn out? Why not remove the bugs before that happens? I know Spectra doesn't particularly care about human lives, but killing off so many kids is genocide, not to mention it's a stupid move. That's going to get her on a wanted list for sure, even if she does change her… entire body. Still though… that's disturbing… how the ghost powers could become too much for them. Are the ghost bugs pushing so much power into them that it's causing their bodies to mutate before they burn out? Andy frowned. What does that mean for me then?

"And you Danny…" Spectra began speaking again. "You're the grand prize. I need your genes to lock this perfect body together, and stabilize it so my ghost form never burns out, and never grows old! How helpful are you?~"

Andy then remembered the syringe he took. Is it still in my pocket? I can't reach into my pocket to tell.

Danny glared at Spectra. "You won't be getting away with this!" He exclaimed as she pushed him towards the open room and then into it.

"Oh, but I already have…" Spectra purred.

Andy wondered if there was still a way to stop this. He hoped Tucker got his message, and wasn't too much of a coward to come into the hospital to help them.

Unfortunately, Spectra was already pushing Danny into the green room, and shut the doors behind him. Spectra then turned to Agunimon and Andy.

"Now… what to do with the two of you?" Spectra grinned.

Agunimon glared at Spectra, but inside, his heart/Digi-Core was racing. He struggled against his restraints, but to no avail. C'mon… there has to be a way to get out of this...

Andy thought of something he could try, he needed to distract Spectra until either Tucker got here or her human suit was ready so she wouldn't pay them any mind.

"I know, how about I start by tearing off your armor, piece by little piece?~" Spectra cruelly smiled at Agunimon.

"ARGH!" Andy suddenly shouted, sounding like he was in pain. "Ugh… oh no… I think I'm starting to burn out… the ghost bugs are… putting too much ghost energy through my body…"

Agunimon froze at Andy's scream, panic crossing his face. "Andy?!" He was worried about Andy, big time. "Andy!"

Spectra turned her attention to Andy, grinning, she liked watching people in pain.

Andy coughed. "It hurts… there's too much… I don't know… if I can hold out… any longer…"

Agunimon was staring in horror, his eyes wide and somewhat shimmering with moisture. "No… Andy…" He murmured. He was worried, and confused. But… how… I thought Andy's powers were stable… Was… Was I wrong…? Did I just… delude myself into thinking Andy was fine…?

Suddenly, there was a DING coming from the locker Spectra was keeping her human skin in. Spectra immediately turned to the locker and grinned, feeling excited. "Excellent~"

Spectra then opened the doors to the room Danny was in and pulled him out.

"Excell- I mean, you fiend!" Danny shouted.

Agunimon noticed Danny was out, but he had caught Danny's correction in his speech. "Danny? Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, it just sucked up some pieces of my hair," Danny assured, though inwardly he was grinning.

Spectra was too excited to have caught Danny's correction, she wanted to test drive her new body right away. She quickly took out her new human suit and flew right into it, completely possessing it.

Once in control of the new human suit, Spectra grinned evilly before she sneered down at Danny, Andy, and Agunimon. With an evil laugh, she flew out of the room, eager to try out her new body.

Apparently Bertrand had flown out earlier, because he wasn't anywhere in the room anymore.

With just the three of them left, still strapped to the stretchers, Agunimon knew he had to tell Danny what was happening to his brother.

"Danny… I…" Agunimon tried to find the words to speak, but he was unable to. It was hard to explain it, especially since it was happening right in front of him. "It's… Andy… He…"

"What? What's wrong with Andy?" Danny asked, frowning.

"Whew… that was a close one!" Andy sighed in relief, sounding completely fine.

Agunimon perked up at Andy's voice sounding fine. He looked back, confused. "Andy? W-what…? I thought you were…"

Realizing Andy had been faking it, Agunimon felt both relieved and angry. "You were faking it?!" He exclaimed, feeling his temper flare. "Do you know how worried I was?!"

"Don't get mad at me! Me acting like I was dying saved your sorry butt from Spectra! Not to mention it was your stupid temper that got us into this mess in the first place! I was about to wheel Danny out of here before you came barging in with fire ablazing!" Andy snapped back.

"Wait… what happened?" poor Danny asked, confused.

"You could've at least warned me what you were doing!" Agunimon shouted.

"And alert Spectra to what I was doing!? Are you stupid or just that dense?" Andy hissed back.

Danny sweatdropped at his brother and cousin arguing. "Um… guys? Care to explain what you're talking about?"

"Yes, Andy, since you're so good at explaining things, why don't you tell him how you made me think you were dying just now?" Agunimon growled.

"Oh, oh, like how I should tell him you ran off when we were supposed to be working together, so it gave you time to screw everything up!?" Andy retorted.

"Guys, can you please stop arguing? You're only confusing me even more." Danny remarked.

"You're insufferable!" Agunimon snapped.

"And you're a hot head!" Andy retorted.

"Isn't that right, Danny!?" Both of them shouted at the poor boy in the middle.

Danny sweatdropped. "Um… technically, you're both right?" He asked.

Thankfully, before Danny could suffer both of their wraths, the door opened again.

"I am here to operate on the patients! I am Dr. Guns, and I will be your surgeon~" A chubby, tall looking 'person' announced as they walked to the three of them. Though it was just Gargomon wearing a doctor's mask over his mouth and nose, and a white gown.

Agunimon blinked in surprise. "Gargomon?" He asked, recognizing the voice.

Danny blinked as well before he realized if Gargomon was here, then Tucker couldn't be too far behind.

As if on cue, there was a loud CLANG coming from the vent above them. "OW! My foot!"

"Oh, let me get that," Gargomon spoke up, raising one of his hand guns and shot at the vent to break it open.

"Thank you…" Tucker's voice grumbled, sounding embarrassed.

Tucker came out of the vent, landing on his feet. "Note to self, never try to kick open a vent. It doesn't work like in the movies…"

Tucker then saw Danny, Agunimon, and Andy. "Guys! Are you okay?" Tucker asked, racing to the closest person, who happened to be Danny.

"Tucker! You actually broke into the hospital?" Danny asked, both happy and surprised.

"I was actually smart and sent him a message before Spectra and Bertrand strapped me to this stretcher." Andy grinned. "At least they didn't try to gas me."

"Don't remind me…" Tucker grumbled before he shook his head. "But never mind that. Gargomon and I will get you guys out of this mess." Tucker held up the lipstick laser as soon as he was done speaking.

Tucker shot the lipstick laser at the straps Danny was in, while Gargomon shot his Gargo Pellets at the straps Andy was in.

Then Tucker shot the lipstick laser at one of the straps Agunimon was tied by, and Gargomon shot the last one.

As soon as he was free, Danny jumped up, transforming into his ghost form.

Agunimon got off his stretcher, before he ran over to Andy's stretcher and helped Andy to his feet. "You really scared the crap out of me with your acting back there."

"Well… I didn't want to, but it was all I could think of to keep Spectra's attention off of you," Andy admitted. "Although, maybe this means I should try out for the drama club…"

Agunimon rolled his eyes before he hugged Andy. "Just don't scare me like that again..."

"Do I want to know what happened?" Tucker asked.

"Not really… I don't even know what happened," Danny sighed. "By the way… uh… did you and Gargomon see Patamon on your way here? I'm worried about him."

Tucker nodded. "Yeah. He was with Sam and Gatomon. Apparently he was sleeping due to being knocked out by gas."

"Right… that's how Bertrand got me…" Danny frowned. "At least I know Patamon's safe."

"We should get out of here and find Bertrand and Spectra then, before they do more damage," Gargomon suggested.

"We should." Agunimon agreed with a growl. "That b-err… witch needs to pay for what she is doing."

Andy dug a syringe out of his pocket and gave a sigh of relief. Good, it's still here. So Spectra didn't add my blood to her suit… good. Not that it really matters since she got Danny's DNA…

"How strong is Spectra though? She was able to get Danny's DNA." Andy frowned.

Agunimon perked up as he remembered Danny's words to Spectra. "Hold on, did she get your DNA? I thought I heard you saying something else before you corrected yourself." He asked Danny.

Danny gave a mischievous grin. "Let's just say Spectra's going to be in for a nasty surprise~"

Agunimon felt he might regret asking if he tried, so he wisely kept his mouth shut. Something tells me I will find out soon enough...

Titanic X: ZAFT: Glad you liked all that! XD

DarkFoxKit: Yes, well, Andy knew Danny would likely try to find some way to get him out, so he had a plan prepared.

DP-Marvel94: DarkFoxKit: Yup, that was my original idea back in WAP, where Andy didn't accept his powers in the first episode. I like getting the chance to show just how much he wishes to deny his own ghost half here. Andy is also clever, so he knows how to manipulate Agunimon into letting him stay.

ZAFT: Glad you liked Agunimon disguised as a doctor too. That was a riot to write out. :3
