Chapter 4 - Harry Potter

"I am called Harry Potter." she answered.

Thranduil would have wept it he had been a lesser man. Harry Potter was the young lady's name. A daughter of man. The one that was soul marked to him was now before by sheer chance. Coincidence? Maybe. Luck? Definitely. Hearing her name sent Thranduil to his feet and over to her. Harry did not know what to do. She jumped when he was suddenly in front of her. What had she said? Thranduil suddenly had her in his arms. Harry was stiff then weak at the knees when he crushed his lips to hers. Harry was shocked to say the least.

"Nin beloved, cin are finallui hi in nin arms." he whispered with his forehead on her's.

"What did you say." Harry asked confused.

"My darling Harry. You are my soul mark. I have your name on my chest." He said holding her close, "You have a mark with my name on you somewhere."

"I... It's on my left ribs." she said, cheeks turning pink.

Thranduil held her close and carefully slid his hand up her shirt to the left side of her ribs. The area of the soul mark was very sensitive. He rubbed across her ribs, edging the soul mark. Liquid fire shot them both. Harry's knees were even weaker. If he had not been holding her, Harry was sure she would have collapsed to the floor. Now she understood what the girls at Hogwarts went on about with sex. And this was just some touching!

"My Harry. I have waited 5,000 years for you to come to me." Thranduil said, "The pull you felt must have been me."

Harry was very nervous now. She now knew that both Thranduil and Thorin were soul mates to her. And currently Thorin was sitting Thranduil's dungeon. What was she going to do? There was so much animosity between them. They were bound to her, and they hated each other. How could this even work? Would it work? She had a feeling that they would try to murder each other if given half a chance. She could not bear that. She did not want anyone getting hurt because of her. Maybe this was a bad idea?

"Adar?" came Legolas's voice.

Harry pulled away and righted herself just as Legolas came into the room. A blush adorned her cheeks as Legolas looked at her and then at his father.

"I see Lady Harry made her way here. We were afraid you had gotten lost." he said to her.

"I had gotten lost but then came into here and met your father." she said attempting to calm her racing heart.

"Nin réd, Harrui, na- nin faer marked. He will n- cín stepmother." Thranduil said to his son.

"He has cín faer taith?" Legolas asked, shock in his eyes.

"Yes." he answered his beloved son.

"Im am trului happui an cin, adar." Legolas answered with a genuine smile on his handsome face.

"Son, thank you." Thranduil had a smile cross his face for the first time in millennia.

Legolas nodded and bowed before Harry. Harry immediately raised her hands and waved them, trying to get him to stop. Seriously, she was just Harry. Just plain, old Harry. Nothing special at all. At-least to her she had never been anything special. Everyone else had always made her more than she had believed she ever was. People had always placed her on a pedestal. She truly hoped that it would not happen in this new world. Legolas shook his head at her and left the room, leaving the new couple alone.

"Are you hungry?" Thranduil asked her.

"Very much so." She answered just as her tummy growled.

"I see." he answered, and her cheeks brightened, "Go back to your rooms and I will join you in a while for the evening meal."

Harry nodded and left him to speak to Tauriel. Tauriel had just entered the room and smiled at Harry. Both ladies bowed their heads to each other in greeting. Harry rounded the corner and headed towards her rooms. Or at least she thought was her rooms. She wandered and ended up in the kitchens. An elf was in the kitchens. She, Arriel was her name; was making a fruit arrangement and gave Harry a few pieces of fruit and cheese and told her about the kitchens and the cellar below. Out of the corner of Harry's eye she noticed a little man. Maybe a dwarf? She did not let on that she had seen him as she did not wish to startle him. If he was hiding that meant he was not supposed to be here.

"My lady, I must take this above. Will you be alright alone?" Arriel said and picked up the platter.

"I will be fine. I will just finish my snack and return to my room." Harry said and bit her cheese.

Arriel nodded and left with her large platter. Harry turned to the hiding person as soon Arriel was gone. She sighed and moved towards where she had seen him. He was gone! Harry looked around and could not find him. But she would check back to see if he would come back. Grabbing a couple more pieces of cheese and fruit, she left and went to her room. She truly hoped that whomever the mystery person was that they were there to help Thorin. She needed to think of something to help the dwarves and set right the divide between the elves and dwarves. With a heavy sigh, she knew she would have to speak to Thranduil about the dwarves in the dungeons and get an understanding about why all of this was happening. And for all of their sakes she prayed that she could set right the wrongs.

(Quick Little Bilbo Moment)

This place was like a maze. And in those moments Bilbo was cheered by the ring that granted him invisibility. He could be unseen and help his friends. It would take some time since this place was crawling with elves. He just hoped that they did not execute Thorin and the others. Oh, why did Gandalf have to leave them when he did? He was hoping that Gandalf would have come shortly after they arrived but alas his hope had been for naught. The only human that had graced the halls of Mirkwood was the human woman that had fallen from the canopy. Why she had been there, he did not know. But he had listened about her in the healing rooms as the healers worked over her. All he had learned about her was that she had travelled with Gandalf at one time and had shocked the healers with a soul mark on her ribs with King Thranduil's name. Bilbo knew what soul marks were. Hobbits had a different way to find their mates.

Hobbits were the green folk, so it made since for them to be able to find mates with their plants. That is why his mother had been named Belladonna. Since her birth the Belladonna plant reacted to her strongly. And that is how she had met her husband, Bungo Baggins. It too reacted to him. But her specific Belladonna plants that she used to make perfumes and grew for the apothecary's sedatives reacted to Bungo quite strongly. More like their growth exploded when he had entered her garden to visit Old Took. This was why Hobbit's named their daughters after plants that reacted to them. They found their soul mates that way. It was rare for there to be more than one hobbit the plants reacted to strongly, but it did happen.

Bilbo was in the personal opinion that maybe this Ms. Harry could help him get the dwarves out. Maybe she could speak to Thranduil on their behalf? Maybe she could just help them escape herself? Something. He would ask when he could later. He followed her around until she found her room again. It was not long until Thranduil came in and a couple servants came in and served them their evening meal. He sat in a corner out of the way and waited. He did not know how long he would have to wait but wait he would. He would not fail the company.

(Thorin and the Company)

He had always known that his nephew Kili would marry outside the dwarven race. But to blatantly sweet talk the elvish warrior that the prince favored was a little infuriating. But he would not say anything. That was his mother, Dis's place. She had the final say in anything that her sons did. Unless there was a soul mark between them. He would have to ask. They were instantly connected and that was another reason why he would not say anything. He had a feeling that there would be a mark between them. He knew Kili had one, he had been born with it. Dis had never told him what it was. Should it matter though? No, it shouldn't. He, himself, had a human soul mark. His beautiful Harry. He truly hoped that they could escape and that she could come with them.

"Thorin." he heard Bilbo's voice whisper.

He turned towards the bars and saw Bilbo. He ran over to the bars. Bilbo handed him some water and food. He had brought food and drink for them all. Bilbo explained that the keys never leave a guard. Not put down for a second, just exchanged from one to the next. That was a bit of a problem. Bilbo informed him that he would keep working on trying to get them out. It would just take time. Bilbo quickly passed out the rest of the provisions and returned to Thorin. Before they could even speak a clang from above was heard. Panic crossed Thorin's face but when he looked at Bilbo he was gone.

Thorin looked up to see if it was a guard coming down. It was no one. He knew then that it was Harry. And he was right when she suddenly popped out from the void, she somehow could wrap around herself. She came to the bars, and he held her hand. He kissed it desperately. She was telling him that she was going to try and bargain with Thranduil to get them released if she could. She would try to get them out. She was so quiet while she spoke to him, none of the others had noticed her. They spoke for a few minutes, but she had to go when her name was called by Legolas. She did not want to be caught down there. She kissed Thorin and flipped her cloak back around her and she was gone. The prince appeared at the top of the stairs and peered down to look around the dungeons for Harry. He did not see her as she quietly made her way up the stairs.

Thorin held his breath until the prince left. He had been worried that she would be caught. She seemed to have luck on her side. For that he was thankful. He waited to see if Bilbo would reappear, but he did not, so Thorin made himself comfortable the best he could and tried to get some rest. He needed all the rest that he could get before they made their grand exit.
