Chapter 4: The Sudden Faces of Hyrule
The sun is rising. The lands of Hyrule are now lighting up. The sun is now shining down towards the lands and everything glowed as a sign that it is morning. However, there were many creatures spawning, and they seemed to cause trouble towards nature. Many horses ran away from the creatures. They are known as bokoblins and they are part of the evil forces of Ganondorf.
Meanwhile, a person with a horse was riding in the lands of Hyrule. 3 bokoblins didn't notice him until he got closer.
The person riding the horse went closer to them and jumped up. It was until the sun started to shine that it was revealed to be the Hylian warrior, Link. He pulled out his bow and shot all three of the bokoblins with his three arrows. They got knocked back and soon disappeared. Link landed on the ground and his horse, Epona, rode back to him. Link took out an apple and let her take a bite from it.
"Good job, girl." Link congratulated. "You did good."
Link looks around the land of Hyrule and takes a deep breath. All of a sudden, his hylian device known as the Sheikah Slate started vibrating. He took it out to see he got a massage from the King of Hyrule.
"Epona, I got a message from the king, and it seems he's waiting for us." Link hopped back on to Epona.
"Let's go!" Link slapped Epona on the right side of her body and she started running fast.
Link started to wonder what the king wanted, but the incoming horde of bokoblins soon interrupted him. Link ordered Epona to go faster, but the bokoblins attempted to chase after them. With his trusty bow, he shoots at a few of them using his three arrow trick. He hit them and escaped right before they even got to him.
With no bokoblins insight, Link ordered Epona to go slower. After enough riding around, they stopped at the entrance of the castle. They were greeted by the guards in the castle.
"The king is waiting for me." Link answered to the guards.
The guard nodded. "Okay, go right ahead."
"Thanks." Link orders Epona to go and they both ride towards the building of the castle. Link hopped back down and took out Epona's leash and attached it to one of the hooks on the ground. After that, the door of the castle opens and Link goes inside. He was then greeted by the princess herself, Zelda.
"Link! Thank goodness you're here." Zelda said with relief.
"Yeah, what seems to be the problem?" Link asked.
"The king is expecting you right now. He has some important information that you need to know."
"Got it. I'll go see him."
Link walks past Zelda, but she quickly takes his hand. "Let me go with you."
Link nods and both of them walk upstairs to the room where the King is.
"I've arrived, your majesty." Link took a bow as soon as he entered the room.
The king turned to see both Link and Zelda. "Link, you're finally here. I have some important news for you."
"What seems to be the issue?" Link asked.
King Rhoam walked up to the throne and sat down. "Link. The Triforce has been stolen again."
"Again? I thought that Ganon will not touch the Triforce again."
"I know, but it seems more likely to have been taken by someone dangerous. That is why I am ordering you to help find the pieces of the Triforce."
Shocked to learn the truth, Link ultimately nods his head.
Zelda jumps into the conversation. "Father, can I also help Link in this mission?"
King Rhoam wanted to deny, but he knew that Zelda and Link would be a perfect pair to fight alongside the new person he was about to mention. "I guess you can, but please don't be too reckless with Link."
"I won't, father," Zelda said.
King Rhoam turns back to Link. "Now, Link, the Triforce piece may be on the islands of Hyrule. That's why I'm ordering you to go over those islands and find them. But first, may I ask you a favor?"
"Yes, your majesty."
"Link, is it okay for you to work alongside another person?"
"Work alongside?"
"There's a new person who has asked to work alongside you because of his circumstances. I thought both of you could work well together, along with Zelda."
"Who is this person?" Link asked.
They turned around to see a warrior with red hair walk in front of the king and bow. "I'm here, your majesty."
"Ah, Lord Roy, it's so nice to meet you again."
Roy turns to bow in front of both Link and Zelda.
"It's nice seeing you two again."
Zelda bows too, but Link is making an uncomfortable face. Zelda pats Link on the back as a sign to get himself together and bow to Roy. King Rhoam noticed his behavior and became worried.
"What's the matter, Link?" he asked.
Link quickly stands straight up and changes his expression. He stutters out of slight embarrassment. "N-n-no. It's perfectly fine."
Link remembered the time with his matches against Roy when he lost to him multiple times. Zelda called out to Link once again, and he finally snapped out of his memories.
King Rhoam goes up to Link. "Again, are you okay Link?"
Link shakes his head this time. "No, really. Everything's fine. It's nothing to worry about, your majesty."
Roy asked King Rhoam. "Shall I proceed with the mission?"
"Oh, I almost forgot to say to you three, there is someone on their way to pick you guys up. But you may need to go near Lon Lon Ranch to meet them. Do you three understand?"
"Yes, your highness. We got everything under control," Roy said.
Roy and Zelda bowed to Zelda's father while Link was struggling to do it. Zelda, one more time, had to force him to do it once more.
Subsequently, they leave the castle. Outside, Link took out Epona's leash from the ground and she started walking with him. All 4 met in the castle's entrance and Zelda turned to Link.
"Can you please hand Epona over to the guards?" Zelda asked Link.
"We're not using horses?" Link wondered.
"Of course, we're just gonna walk."
"Oh, I see then."
Link, having no choice, walks over to the guard and asks to put Epona in the stable. The guard nodded and took Epona.
While waiting for the notification from the guards, Link continues to remember the tournament fight and beat himself up inside. As he keeps his thoughts back, the guard comes up to Link.
"Your horse is now in the stable. Thank you for coming and have a nice day."
Link nodded, and he walked over to Zelda and Roy. They then continued to walk to the fields of Hyrule. During the entire adventure, Link was staying in the back and stared at Roy while Zelda tried to start up a conversation with him. "Roy, I've been wondering, what was your reason for coming all the way over here?"
"Well, I heard of the situation from my town and I was worried about you guys. But then I was requested by your father to help fix this situation. He said he was impressed with my fighting skills."
"Ah right, you defeated Link in the tournament. Well, thanks for coming, but you really don't have to-"
"It's fine, Princess Zelda. It's kind of funny though that my wife complained to me a bit about it. She wanted to join, but I'm not sure if you guys would have accepted."
"It's okay, Roy. In fact, I would've loved to have her join us."
"That's sweet of you, but she is currently busy."
Suddenly, they stopped walking to see purple smoke in front of them. And almost immediately, a bokoblin magically appeared as soon as the smoke dissipated.
"What the?!"
Immediately, the bokoblin screeched and charged at Roy. He quickly took out his sword from his sheathe and sliced its neck. It collapses to the ground with its head decapitated and disappearing with dust.
"What was that thing?" Roy asked.
Still, they continued to see black smoke spawning around them. It was spawning countless amounts of bokoblins along with their larger cousin, moblins. Feeling threatened by the creatures, Link and Zelda also pulled out their swords with Link having to take out his hylian shield.
"There's too many of them!" Roy yelled out, alarmed.
"Link, it looks like we have no choice but to fight."
"Everyone get ready!"
All of them glance back at the moblins and bokoblins. They quickly charged at them. Link, Zelda, and Roy also charged at them, using their swords to fight off against them.
The first person was Roy, who had his sword already in hand and let out a blazing slash to the 3 bokoblins that were in front of him.
Many of the bokoblins charged at Link, but he spun in a circle with his sword in hand. The bokoblin were running towards him, but we're knocked back by the impact. However, many of them continue to spawn after that. Link saw them and ran up to the incoming crew of bokoblins. He jumped up, and the bokoblins jumped with him. Link used his sword and slashed all the bokoblins that were in the air. He spots ahead to see he was about to land on an incoming moblin. He aimed his sword at its head and punctured it as soon as he landed. The moblin disappears, and the sword plummets to the ground. Link quickly grabbed his sword and saw the crowd of moblins and bokoblins coming towards him. He gets ready and runs up to them.
Zelda was also using her sword to kill the moblins and bokoblins. One moblin had a stick in his hand and was about to puncture Zelda with it. She jumped up and used her sword to stab the head of the moblin. It disappeared with dust particles. She landed and saw Link being surrounded by the bokoblins and moblins. She then spawned a bow and arrow from her hand and aimed it towards the crowd of bokoblins and moblins. She called out to Link.
"Link, your shield!"
Link aims the shield at Zelda, who lets go of the arrow. The insane amount of power from the arrow impacts the entire crowd of bokoblins and moblins. Link takes cover behind his shield. As soon as the power of the arrow vanished, Link saw one moblin coming after him. He ran up to it and slashed its head. The moblin explodes into smoke. He looks back at Zelda to express his thanks, only to see bokoblin running to her.
"Zelda!"
Link quickly took out his bow and aimed the arrow at the incoming bokoblin's head. Zelda turns to see it squirming in pain, eventually dissipating into purple smoke. She looks at Link and smiles.
"Thanks, Link!"
Link grinned and nodded. However, Zelda turned to see Roy struggling to fight off the horde of moblins and bokoblins.
"Roy!" She spawned the same bow and arrow in her hand and aimed it at the group. Roy looks to her and quickly jumps as soon as the power from the arrow glides under him. The moblins and bokoblins all disappeared into purple smoke and Roy dropped back down to the ground.
However, more bokoblins and moblins spawned. Link, Zelda, and Roy gather up in the middle and are getting ready to fight off the horde.
Suddenly, they see an Arwing and a Cornerian Transport in the air. It flew down and shot at the bokoblins and moblins. All the enemies turned to the ships and attempted to jump up to attack them. Besides that, Link, Zelda and Roy ducked for cover as more lasers were being fired at the bokoblins and moblins. The Arwing landed, revealing a blue bird. He walked out, shooting at the bokoblins with his laser gun. Link, Zelda and Roy glanced straight to see the famous team member of Star Fox, Falco Lombardi. Along with that, the Cornerian Transport lands and the doors open, revealing the team leader of Star Fox, Fox McCloud. He took out his gun to shoot at one bokoblin coming after him.
As Fox and Falco carry on with shooting and distracting the bokoblins and moblins, it was now Link, Roy, and Zelda's chance to eliminate the bokoblins and moblins. Link runs up to one of the distracted bokoblins and punctures its back. It then disappeared into purple smoke. Roy jumps towards one of the half and slashes all of them with his flaming sword. He then lands and swings around his sword at the bokoblins. Zelda took out her arrow and bow one last time and aimed it at the crowd of bokoblins and moblins. They then felt the power of the bow pierce all of them and they then dissipated into purple smoke.
After that, the bokoblins and moblins stopped spawning. The trio, becoming relieved, walked up to Fox and Falco.
"Thank you guys so much! I thought we wouldn't make it out alive." Zelda asked.
Fox responded, "No problem, Princess Zelda. We're committed to serving you guys, as per King Rhoam's order."
Link realized, "Wait, so you guys are the ones that the king said would pick us up?"
"Well, we were requested by King Rhoam, since this sort of job is worth checking out. Also, there's something we have to tell you guys."
"What is it?" Roy asked.
"Space and time are fluctuating, resulting in the apparent loss of the Triforce. We're looking into it, but right now, we don't know who or what is emitting this strange signal. Regardless, we're dedicated to returning the Triforce to its rightful protectors."
Falco then jumped in with his own words. "One more thing: we got a signal from Mario that the Smash Orb has been broken into pieces throughout the universe."
"Smash Orb? How have I never heard of this?" Link questioned.
"Well, you're hearing it now." Falco said. "It's time to find both the Triforce and the Smash Orb before our reality breaks. Are you guys ready for that?"
Link, slightly confused, but also alarmed by what they said, ultimately agreed. Zelda and Roy also nodded in agreement.
"Anyone joining you, Falco?" Fox asked, resulting in a frown from the aforementioned Falco.
"Not gonna happen," he replied. "I fly solo."
"Okay, then everyone's going on the Cornerian Transport." Turning to Zelda, Fox asked, "Are you guys ready to leave this place?"
Zelda nodded, "Yes, we're ready."
Suddenly, they heard a person yelling from a distance, "Wait!"
They turned to see a blue-haired girl with a book in her hand running towards them. Roy was dumbfounded. "Lilina?!"
Lilina stands before him, hands on her hips, pouting. "Roy, don't leave me like that!"
"Lilina, what are you doing here? I thought you were busy!"
"I got worried, so I wanted to help you."
"You didn't tell me you would come though!"
"Then, I'm telling you now. I'm coming along!"
"Wait, what?! You don't have to-"
"But I want to. Roy, if you left now, I would keep worrying about you! At least, if I'm there, I'd know for sure whether you're okay or not."
"You…" Roy sighs. "Fine. Okay, you join us." Roy turns to Zelda with a sheepish smile. "...Does that offer from before still stand, Princess?"
"Just as I said before, I would love for Lilina to join us."
Roy gives another sigh as Lilina smiles, grateful. Link was trying hard not to laugh at Roy and Princess Zelda, slightly amazed, and impressed with Lilina's efforts to join Roy.
"Okay everyone." Fox put his gun in his holster and turned to Falco. "Falco, go on ahead. We'll catch up."
"Alright. Try not to lag behind too much." Falco walks to the Arwing and gets on it.
Meanwhile, the Hyrule quartet followed Fox to the Cornerian Transport. Fox quickly sits in the driver's seat and controls the ship. Falco's Arwing quickly takes off, and the Cornerian Transport follows in its direction.
Everyone is now leaving Hyrule. Their time as heroes is about to begin. They're officially known as the Cyber Blade...
A few hours earlier...
Hiroto, Mario and Kirby continued on with their journey after they accepted their request from Hiroto's father. They're still in Michiya Metro, exploring around the city a bit.
"Hiroto, I've been wondering where we can even start with finding the pieces?"
"I'm not sure." Hiroto takes out a map. "I guess this map can help." He spots a red pointer in one location, which is Super Tokyo. "I think Super Tokyo may be our first location to go to."
Mario asked, "How far is it?"
Hiroto looks at the entire map and sees that Super Tokyo was a few miles away from them. "It seems like we need to take a train to go there."
Hiroto glanced around to see nothing but cars, people, buildings, and stoplights. He looked at his map again to see that the train station was closer than he thought. All three of them walked to their right, where they were greeted by a stoplight, waiting until the light turned green. They walked past many buildings and were trying to find a metro.
"By the way, Hiroto, I haven't asked this, but why did your brother kidnap the princess?"
"Same question. I'm wondering about it, too. But I know for a fact he's doing it to please someone."
"I just hope that Princess Peach is safe..."
"Just keep hoping, Mario. I'm sure she's fine"
"Poyo!" Kirby points at a sign saying that the metro is 0.6 miles away from them..
"Nice catch, Kirby. It looks like the subway is not that far away."
They continued to follow the way where the sign directed them to go until they saw the entrance of the subway stations. All three of them walked down to the station and tried to find the train that was heading to Super Tokyo. They found it after passing by the first train, which was heading to another location. They proceeded inside the train and they sat down, waiting until the train was packed with people.
Once the train achieves its goal of reaching capacity, it closes its door as a sign that people outside have to wait for the next incoming train.
"Hiroto, how many pieces of the orb are there?"
"I'm not sure, but I believe it's about 200 pieces."
"200?! Mama-mia!"
"Yeah, I know. It seems like a hassle."
"Hiroto, we got our buddies to help us, but first I need a phone."
"Poyo!" Kirby takes out his phone and hands it over to Mario.
"Thank you, Kirby!" Mario logs on to Kirby's phone and turns on the Smash Group Text. He went to a group chat labeled, "Smash Veterans' Chat." He types,
"To Everyone from the Smash Veterans' Chat:
This is Mario speaking and yes, I'm-a-fine. I'm using Kirby's phone to send this message. I'm-a-just giving you an update to everyone that I am working alongside a boy named Hiroto and Kirby. Just a quick warning to you all that the great Smash Orb was destroyed a few months ago. This news has been long overdue, and it's been confirmed by Hiroto and his father that the pieces are now scattered across the universe. As the president of the Smash Veterans of Super Tokyo, I ask that all fighters work together to investigate the other worlds to find those missing pieces. My group and I will continue to search for Princess Peach and one piece of the Smash Orb."
Mario hands back the phone to Kirby and turns to Hiroto.
"Hiroto, I have sent the message to everyone. Hopefully, they will follow the orders I give."
"I'm sure they will. Besides, they look up to you."
Mario nodded in approval. "Thanks a lot for your help, Hiroto."
"I should be the one thanking you, Mario."
Mario chuckled. "You're welcome then. By the way, I have several questions for you."
"Sure, ask away."
As they start their small conversation, the train heads out of the tunnel, revealing the early morning sky of Super Tokyo.
