Last time: Cien arrived to Haven for the first time in seven and half years and kidnapped Sasha.

Now: Kyr tells the others what has happened.

Part 2 Chapter 1- She's Pregnant?

Kyr woke up, groggily, but feeling like he had slept better than he had in years, and was more rested than he could ever remember feeling. His neck hurt though, as if he had been sleeping too long at an odd angle. As he opened his eyes he was surprised to see Kitsu's worried face hovering over him. Then his memories of what happened returned, and he shot up, out of his bed.

"Where is she?" He asked, stricken.

"Sasha?" Kitsu asked. "She's gone, the safe room was broken into. It looked like it was cut with a lightsaber." Kitsu informed him, worriedly.

"It was Cien." Kyr said, anger welling in him. "She came here, she must have taken Sasha because of…" He trailed off as his eyes widened. "Osik." He said under his breath as the weight of what happened, of his failure, sunk in. He should have protected Sasha and her child, he had failed her.

"Wait, Cien? She's back?" Kitsu said with surprise.

Before he could respond, Viran, Oppie, and Illara entered into the medbay. They rushed over to Kyr's bed. Illara moving to stand beside Kitsu and Oppie at the foot of the bed. While Viran came to the other side of Kyr, looking on edge. Which was fair since Sasha was missing.

"Kyr, glad to see you awake, man. Are you doing alright?" Viran asked, concerned for Kyr's wellbeing. It was apparent that they didn't hear Kyr just say that Cien was back as they didn't look quite as surprised as Kitsu did. Viran then frowned as he explained their side of the story. "We all got a signal from the house saying the intruder alarm went off. And when we got here, you were passed out in the meadow, there are holes carved through the doors, and the place is trashed. What the hell happened?"

"It was Cien." He said, stricken. "Sasha and I went on a little mission together and Cien was here waiting for us when we got back."

"Cien?" Viran gasped. A shadow seemed to pass over Viran. "What did she want?"

Kyr looked at Viran and was at a loss for words. "She said she was here to visit old friends, that she was here because you guys were back." He looked off into the far distance. "She knocked me out, and they must have taken her." Because of the child, he completed the thought in his head. But he'd promised Sasha not to say anything. He'd given his word, oh osik, he thought. "Viran, she -" He interrupted himself, the difficulty of breaking his word holding him back. She'd understand, she'd have to. Tac trundled into the room at that moment as well.

"She what?" Viran asked, confused.

"She's," he swallowed, trying to get the words out. "She found out-" osik osik osik, he thought.

"Found out what? Kyr, is Sasha okay? Please you have to tell me," Viran pleaded.

Tac looked between Kyr and Viran, watching the exchange with a little whir of motors as his eye rotated between the two.

"Viran, she-" Kyr steeled himself, trying to break his word.

Tac whistled abruptly, and everyone in the room looked back at him. Kyr stared daggers at the droid, thankful he hadn't had to break his word. But the way he phrased it? She's currently using her construction facilities to produce another master. Kyr just stared at him, wondering where. In. The. Hell that phrasing came from.

Viran looked from the droid to the others to Kyr. "Using her construction facilities? The hell does that mean? Was she building a droid or something?" He asked, extremely confused by Tac's choice of words.

Kyr face palmed, and Kitsu and Illara shot a look at each other as realization dawned on their faces. Oppie was as confused as Viran.

Kitsu looked back at Kyr. "You mean she's…" She trailed off.

"Yes." Kyr said, not removing his hand from his face.

Viran shared a confused glance with Oppie before looking back. "Okay, I am definitely missing something. Can someone please translate Tac speak for me?"

Kitsu looked over at him. "Viran, she's pregnant."

Viran was frozen in place. Not blinking or moving or maybe even breathing for a whole minute. It seemed to take him a while to compute what he was just told. "She's… pregnant?" He asked in a daze.

Kyr hadn't moved his hand. "Yes, she was sick while we were on the mission and she took the test yesterday." He said around his hand.

"Oh…" He seemed to trail off for a moment as he reached behind him for a stool to sit on. Thankfully there was one already next to bed, otherwise he would have fallen to the floor. He slumped down onto the stool, still lost in a daze. "She's pregnant. I'm going to be a father…" then a smile seemed to form on his face as he realized what he just said. He put a hand to his mouth as a few tears shed, tears of joy.

Oppie came over and put a hand on his shoulder, a smile on his face despite the circumstances.

"Cien must have known." Kyr said, "that must be why she came." He said, still stricken. "Viran, I'm so sorry I wasn't able to protect her. I should have taken the shot when I had the chance." He said as he closed his eyes.

Viran's smile quickly faded and a scowl replaced it. "I know you did what you could. And it's obvious Sasha put up a fight." He then looked down at Sasha's lightsaber that he held in his left hand. He had found it in the safe room, discarded. "But this is unforgivable. I'm sorry, but Cien will pay for taking my wife and child." He tightened his hand around her saber in a tight fist.

Kyr nodded as anger washed across his face as well.

Oppie, looking between the two of them, spoke to Viran. "Viran, can we go talk?" He asked.

Viran looked up to Oppie, not really wanting to leave the conversation just yet, but the look on Oppie's face told him he should. So he nodded. He got up from the stool and headed for the door. Outside in the corridor Oppie turned to Viran, and looked him in the eyes. "Viran, I'm concerned about what I'm seeing here." He said, "I agree what she has done is unforgivable, but our priority is getting Sasha back, not... Exacting revenge." He said quietly, trying to gauge his reaction.

He stared at Oppie for a moment, taking in what he said. Did his reaction really come off like that before? But he was so worried about her. Them. Man, that was going to take some getting used to. And he wasn't happy to hear that Cien returned out of the blue to kidnap his wife. A groan then escaped Viran's lips as he walked over to the wall. He placed his back against it and slid down to the floor.

"I don't want revenge. I want my family back. I want to know why Cien did it," Viran stated coldly. "And I won't stop until I do."

"We won't stop." Oppie said quietly, sitting on the floor next to him. "We will get her back." He said, "just don't be consumed by what has happened," he said, worried about the tinges of dark side he was seeing here. Suddenly the concern of the order for attachments came back to haunt him in full force, realizing what it was eliciting in his friend. "Don't become so consumed in this that Sasha doesn't have the man she loves to come back to when we find her." He said pointedly.

Viran groaned and put his head in his hands. "I'm sorry. It's just…" he thought for a moment. "How am I supposed to react right now? I just found out Sasha is pregnant with our child and that Cien kidnapped them. It's a lot to take in and I don't know what to do or how to respond to any of this. I am angry, happy, sad, frustrated. I'm so many different emotions that I'm pretty sure I'm at war with myself right now," he said, sounding so lost.

"Be happy." Oppie said, "Be happy that you have a child on the way with the woman you love. And have hope for when you will see her again, and bring her home. Don't let yourself succumb to the darkside, don't fall to anger and a need for revenge in this. Don't lose yourself."

The younger man was silent for a moment before slowly nodding. "Okay. You're right. You're right. I'm sorry. Thank you, Oppie. This is a lot and I can't do it alone. I'm really going to need your guidance through this," he said looking up at Oppie. "Because I don't know what I would do if I lost her. Lost them."

Oppie was silent for a while. "I'm not sure what I would do either." He admitted.

Viran nodded. He sat there for a moment. As he sat there, his mind wandered back to his knight trial. To the yellow eyed and dark cloaked version of himself. His brows furrowed as he thought about it more. Is that what he could become if he followed a darker path? He shook the thought away, but keeping in the back of his mind for later. Then a new thought replaced it as he thought about the fact he was now going to be a father. He tried to figure out a few things like how far along she might be and what her reaction was when she found out. Positive things like that.

"So… do you think it will be a boy or a girl?" Viran asked, changing the subject, a smile growing on his face as he thought about it more.

Oppie grinned. "Maybe it'll be twins, and you'll have one of each. It runs in the family." He said with a pat on Viran's shoulder.

Viran paled slightly at that, but was still smiling. "Twins? Op, we may be family but we are not blood related. I don't think it works like that," he said with a chuckle.

Oppie smiled, too, trying to hide his own worry.
