"Thanks for covering for me this month Numbuh 65.3, I was really needing vacations" said Rachel in casual clothes on the hangar for the Moonbase with one of those cups with umbrella thingies "If you need anything I will be at Sector V, my parents are on a trip and they took my brother along Fanny and Patton are coming with me since she wants to prepare him for the Dinner at her parent's house"
"With the treaty, my agenda is basically free since everyone is now basically eating or sleeping anI I didn't work half as much as you guys did during the crisis so it's the least I could do" Said the Nerdy operative "One question though, why are you going to Sector V? It's not even near your home"
"Oh, that's a good question ehhh… the weather there is b-better?" Said Rachel while smiling and blushing suspiciously
"All right enough with it, stop pestering Numbuh 362 about her vacations she has better things to do you fatso" Said Numbuh 86 who had just arrived with Numbuh 60 on the hangar "The C.O.O.L B.U.S fuel tank is full and all of our things are stored up in there so why aren't we in earth yet?"
"Numbuh 86 is completely right! Thanks for the help 65.3 but we have to go" she said as she pushed 86 and 60 inside the vehicle and started the ignition immediately blushing the entire time as they departed from the moonbase
"Auto-pilot activated, Destiny: Sector V"
"So… you really have a thing for the heroes eh?" said Fanny smiling looking at Rachel who was just leaving the pilot seat still blushing not having recovered from 65.3 question
"Patton turn back and cover your ears that's an order" Said Rachel
"Yes Ma'am but with all due respect we all here know you like Nigel Uno" Patton Saluted her and did exactly as he was told turning around and covering his ears
Rachel looked at Patton and back at Fanny who was smiling from ear to ear for her friend "This is really embarrassing you know that? She said while blushing "Well… I would be lying if I said the hero stuff doesn't attract me even a bit" They giggled "I tried inviting him to lunch before and stuff.. but you already know that" she scratched the back of her head "I'm thinking this may be a good chance to be a little more assertive with him and well… the worst he can do is say no" she gave Fanny an awkward smile
"With all due respect ma'am the worst Nigel Uno can say is "ewwww"" said Patton who was in the back of the bus
"DRILOVSKY!" Fanny and Rachel yelled at him
"Sorry! sorry! Hands in my ears hands in my ears" Said Patton
"Don't go scaring her like that you fool! You can relax Rachel if it was Numbuh 4 I would have said it myself but Numbuh 1 is not that kind of boy, he is still very gross though since you know… he is a boy and stuff" she giggled
"HEY! I'M RIGHT HERE!" Said Patton who turned around before seeing Fanny take out a S.P.L.A.N.K.E.R from the glove box of the bus
ALRIGHT, THAT'S IT! Said Numbuh 86 before chasing after Numbuh 60 inside the bus
Trying to ignore Numbuh 60 screams Rachel sighed while looking at earth through the Bus Front window
Back in Sector V no one was warned about three high ranking officers in the KND coming to spend their vacations, everyone had just woken up from their much-needed sleep, Numbuh 4 had asked Numbuhs 1,2 and 5 to keep quiet about the Numbuh 3 situation before going for breakfast, he liked the girl alright but he didn't want to make things awkward for everyone with people talking about kisses and cruddy stuff while eating, after that all 5 members rejoiced at the kitchen table and were eating rainbow munchies they all seemed exhausted including Kuki who would be singing rainbow monkey songs by now
"Are you guys okay? you seem worse than me, did you even sleep properly?" asked Nigel reading the KND Times while eating a spoon of rainbow munchies
"I think we all had Nightmares, I didn't wake up in the middle of the night but I woke up this morning cold sweating" Said Hoagie
The rest of the team looked at Hoagie and agreed
"If it keeps happening I can ask the Moonbase medical team to have a look at you guys"
Said Nigel
"Won't be necessary" all four of them said at the same time
"Nothing some sugar in the veins can't heal" Said Hoagie
"Speak for yourself my hands are still trembling from all the punching I did yesterday" Said Wally as he showed his hands covered in bruises and barely being able to close them properly
"Do you want me to feed you?" Asked kuki from across the table
Wally blushed at the request Kuki made "I've been turned back into a Kid not a Baby! I need no cruddy girl feeding me" As he tried to cross his arms he felt a strong cramp on his right hand "OW! OW! OW! OW!" He hold his right hand with his left one, everyone at the table could see the muscles on his hand contract
"Woaaahhhh cool" said Hoagie
"Numbuh 5 thinks That's the kind of stuff you should go see the people at Moonbase about" Said abby a little bit disgusted
"Alright! alright! You can feed me, I'm gonna need food if I want to recover from this" Said Numbuh 4 now more angry than embarrassed
"Yaaaaaaaaaay!" Numbuh 3 gleamed with joy while she picked her chair and got close to Wally's seat
Hoagie looked at Wally and whispered to him "Lucky you"
Wally put his finger over his mouth signing Hoagie to keep quiet
Abby just giggled at their exchange
Suddenly their central computer told them that a KND transport had just arrived on the main hangar
"Weird we are not expecting any visits today" Said Nigel
If it was an invasion the alarms would already be off, who could it be? Said Hoagie
"I bet it must be someone bringing presents for Numbuh 1 since he is now a hero, any rainbow monkeys you get are to come my way" Kuki giggled
"Hey, what do you mean Numbuh 1 is the hero? We are as much heroes in this story as him, I want some presents coming my way too" Said Wally still being fed by Numbuh 3
"Numbuh 5 and you guys were trying to kill Numbuh 1 most of the time though" she chuckled
The door leading to the Main hangar had just opened and from it, Numbuhs 362,86 and a badly hurt 60 emerged
"Hey guys" Rachel waved at them "sorry we didn't warn you guys but everyone was sleeping at the time we called, not that i can blame you for it after everything that happened" Rachel was scratching the back of her head "My parents are on a trip with my brother, I didn't want to stay a month alone in a house with no one to talk to or a month doing nothing at the moonbase and Numbuh 60 just asked for blessing to be 86 boyfriend so she wants to have him nearby for when he is invited to dinner so he will not return to the arctic for now, we brought Rainbow munchies and some other sweets if you want them… could you please let us stay for the month"
"You just had to mention the candies girl" Numbuh 5 left the room to get the candies that were in the Bus when she passed Patton and noticed his injuries "Wait, the dinner already happened?" She chuckled
"Numbuh 362 and I were having a private conversation on the bus and the poor fool decided to listen to it" Fanny kissed Numbuh 60 on the cheek "I… admit I may have exaggerated a bit and blown it out of proportion" She blushed while scratching her forehead
While Numbuh 5 was chatting with Numbuh 86 and 60 and Numbuh 3 kept feeding Numbuh 4, Nigel and Rachel were talking about them staying at the treehouse
"You are my superior Numbuh 362 I don't know why you are asking permission to stay in a house that you can come and go with no trouble but you are welcome to stay as long as you want," Nigel said "Oh but thanks for the candies we were running low on them, what is this about 1-month vacation though? Don't we have some villains to chase?"
"Thanks, the Candies were Numbuh 86 idea you should thank her later and about the vacation you were probably sleeping when it hit the news you see we made a…"
Before Rachel could continue a knock on the front door was heard and everyone stopped what they were doing
"Oh I can get that no problem" said Fanny
When numbuh 86 opened the door she screamed in terror and fell to her knees everyone including Numbuh 4 pulled out 2x4 guns at the scream direction but they all froze in place when they saw who was at the door it was Grandfather the normal one not the demonic ageing thing, everyone in the room except Numbuh 1 started sweating cold at his presence, they could not feel anything bad on him but just the idea of who that person was made everyone in the room scared to death
"Is this where my Grandson plays with his friends?" he said before letting himself in and approaching Nigel "Your father asked me to give you a shopping list to the grocery store it's jacket potato night but your Father forgot the beans for the filling could you go buy some?"
"Huhh… sure Grandpa" said Nigel a bit nervous with the whole situation looking at everyone's faces pale in fear
Grandfather looked around "Is… is something wrong children? He asked looking puzzled at their expressions
Rachel got a hold of herself at that moment and shook his hand to everyone's surprise "Uhhh no sir we just were very surprised, your grandson always speaks great things about you, so it's our pleasure to finally meet you ain't that right GUYS?" Said Numbuh 362 looking at her back to everyone
They all nodded smiling nervously at Grandfather
"Oh I'm so happy to hear that, Nigel your father didn't tell me you had such a gentle and polite Girlfriend, I have to go now your father will drive me home tomorrow and I wanna take a nap now, do not forget the Grocery store" said Grandfather as everyone stood silence looking at him while he exited the treehouse
When he finally left everyone except Rachel gave a huge sigh
Rachel was completely red all over her face she was practically steaming from blushing the only thing she could think of was the girlfriend part now "huhhh… huhhhh…"
