After spending some time outside to collect her thoughts Rachel returned to the living room. She saw a very worried Numbuh 2 playing Yipper against a smug Patton, Numbuh 4 was resting his head in Numbuh 3's lap while complaining about his cards, Numbuh 5 was back to watching KNN Nigel and Fanny were watching it too now, everything seemed normal so far
"Today's gossip panel is brought to you by Numbuh 10" said the KNN anchorman with the sound of hammers and saws in the background while the moonbase was being repaired
"Thanks Anchorman, On today's story or should I say stories we look into the rumors about Sector V's Numbuhs 3 and 4, during the Grandfather crisis we did see minor talk between people that were in central command at the time of the invasion talking about a supposed kiss while they were transformed, we here at KNN only work with material proof so we didn't bring this minor gossip to the show… until now" She said with an evil grin "about 2 hours ago we got this footage from an amateur cameraman" The screen transitioned to video footage outside the house showing Numbuhs 3 and 4 eating ice cream on the balcony
"This red fruit one is good, I wish I had picked this one earlier" said Wally
"I told you hehe" Kuki giggled while licking her bubblegum ice cream "Let me have a taste" Kuki approached Wally and kissed him on the lips "Hmmmmm~ I can taste every single fruit"
Wally blushed at her "Hey! Not fair let me taste yours too" Wally kissed her back, his lips had some bubblegum bits now "Hmmmm… it's good but too girly for me" they both laughed as the footage cut
"We at KNN give our most sincere congratulations to the newest couple in our organization, now we transition to our sponsors in the next block we continue with more exclusive footage we have, and later in the same block don't you dare to lose our second history for the night"
Everyone in the room stood in silence as they set their gazes at Wally and Kuki who were deep red in embarrassment, well actually just Kuki was embarrassed, Wally was red from anger "Well that's it! Numbuh 2 prepare the space shuttle I'm gonna storm their office at the moonbase" He tried to leave the room to go to the armory but Rachel, Numbuh 1, Numbuh 5 and Numbuh 2 hold him down
"Stand down Numbuh 4! It's not that bad!" Said Numbuh 1
"Numbuh 1 is right Numbuh 4 this is not worth the trouble you will get for attacking the moonbase" said Numbuh 362 as she pulled Numbuh 4 by the shoulder
You guys can't be serious! Did you see what they just did? I will punch them out of the moon into the earth when I get my hands on them!" Numbuh 4 was trying to break free from all four of them
"Always the dramatic!" Said Numbuh 5 holding down on his leg
"Come on, You didn't honestly think it was going to remain a secret from Numbuh 10 forever did you? The girl pays spies in the KND for exclusive footage" Numbuh 2 said
Everyone looked at Numbuh 2 this time even Numbuh 3 who was covering her face with her hands blushing deeply
"What? I watch every episode and…" Before Numbuh 2 could finish Abby nudged him on the ribs
"It's alright Wally" Numbuh 3 said "It's a bit embarrassing but they just showed us being ourselves, come on" she tapped the empty couch seat by her side
Numbuh 4 gave up and sat next to her as he calmed down a bit
"We are back with the KNN and back with our Numbuh 3 and Numbuh 4 segment, earlier we showed footage of Numbuhs 3 and 4 kissing while "tasting" ice cream, well thanks to our I.T, Software and Hardware engineers we managed to fix in the last 2 days most of out consoles and thanks to Numbuh 202 we got the following footage from a broken console" the screen transitioned again this time to the exact moment Numbuh 3 and Numbuh 4 were kissing as senior zombies and saying they found each other
This time who got angry was Numbuh 3 "I WANT REVENGE!" Fire was coming out of her eyes as she also tried to leave for the armory, this time Rachel, Numbuh 5 and Numbuh 86 tried to hold her down
"Calm down you two, my mother gave me money. We will have pizza tonight for dinner. Do you really wanna miss it?" Said Numbuh 2
Numbuh 3 and Numbuh 4 looked at Numbuh 2 and then winked at each other in a devilish way
"You're right Hoagie, let those dorks at KNN have their moment" Numbuh 4 said smiling
"Yeah…We won't let this affect us a bit" Numbuh 3 returned to the couch with Wally
"Now for our second story this night, if you thought Numbuhs 3 and 4 were an unlikely pair it seems the Grandfather crisis didn't show us it's last set of surprises, thanks to the tireless work of our hired and third-party investigators inside the KND we got information about the supposed dating of one Numbuh 86 the decommissioning officer and Numbuh 60 the Drill sergeant for the Arctic base training camp"
If a needle dropped on the floor the moment Numbuh 10 said that everyone in the room would have heard it, Fanny stood there open-mouthed while Patton frowned and crossed his arms while looking at the tv, Rachel was scared to death even if everyone in the room tried they wouldn't be able to hold those two down
"This is a 2-day report about how these two people that are complete opposites of each other got together, everything that we will show here got relayed to us by anonymous and credible sources"
Rachel and Fanny sat in the couch with Patton, Rachel wanted to see it out of curiosity since her friend didn't told her how they got together and Fanny knew she could do nothing about it for now so she just wanted to see what they got on her
A video of Patton holding some flowers entering a medic tent near the crater where the moon base crashed was first shown, the person holding the camera followed him inside without making too much noise, the inside of the tent had about 10 beds with curtains around them, he entered inside one of the curtains, the person holding the camera put the camera placed the camera very carefully the camera inside the curtains in a spot where you could see that the person lying on the hospital bed was Fanny with her lower legs covered in a few bruises
"Hey… how are the repairs going? Said Fanny while she looked at Patton
"Going well, they already built a small place for Rachel and the administration folk to stay on the moon, but I'm not here to talk about work, how are you doing?"
"Doctor said i should be able to walk by tomorrow night, he said it was nothing serious, nothing got sprained"
"That's great news, here i got you a few flowers, they say girls like those" he put the flowers on her lap
"Stupid boy" She smiled "You didn't need to"
"Actually I did, after all i love you" he blushed "Huh, it wasn't as hard as I thought, I have to thank Numbuh 85 later"
Fanny was speechless "ehhhhh… uhhhhh… you are not joking?"
"No? Why would I be joking about something like that?" Numbuh 60 said
"Sorry, sorry I just… kind of like you too and this seems too good to be true" she pinched herself
"Oh…" he blushed "So what now?"
"You wanna kiss? it's the stuff people who are dating normally do, we are dating, right?" she scratched the back of her head still a bit confused with the situation
"Are we? I-I mean yes! Yes, we are and… sure, let's do this kiss thing" he approached her
She wrapped her arms around his head and kissed him, they maintained that for a few seconds before they stopped to look at each other "Did you really ask my little brother for romantic advice?" she giggled
"It worked didn't it?" He climbed into her bed, laid down next to her and kissed her again.
"I'm gonna thank him later" she chuckled and kissed him back again "What made you confess? and don't say it was my zombie form" she laughed
"I got surrounded by the senior zombies back in the base, when I realized we would lose this one I thought "Well that's it, I always said I would confess to her later and that I was just waiting for the right opportunity, maybe it wasn't meant to be" when the transformation got reversed I saw it as a second chance and I decided to take it" he said while looking at the tent ceiling
Fanny punched him right in the face "That's for giving up on me at the end you stupid boy" she looked at him really angry but then grabbed him by the shirt and kissed him "This one's for taking your second chance" they kept kissing and snuggling in the hospital bed for a few minutes until they heard someone coming and stopped, the camera stopped at that moment too
"THAT WAS SO CUTE!" Said Rachel "You didn't tell me how you two got together, so that's why you had a black eye when I talked to you that day, that was beautiful you two!"
Fanny was covering her face with her hands while shaking her head "I can't believe they recorded everything… The next time I see Numbuh 10 I'm going to commit a crime" she kept shaking her head in disbelief
Patton was pinching his forehead pensive but still blushing "I was worried they would show me asking your father's blessing so it isn't as bad for me"
"The parents of operatives cannot be involved in any KNN news report of this sort, i devised this rule myself" Said Rachel
"I thank you for that, one less headache for me to deal with" Patton laid down in the couch and sighed. "I should probably think about a way to punish them when I get back to work… He said while covering half his face with his forearm still a bit embarrassed
Suddenly they heard the doorbell ring "Three large pepperonis with two Large Soda for one Hoagie P. Gilligan, Jr along"
"Oh that's me" Numbuh 2 rushed to the door
Numbuh 1 approached Numbuhs 3, 4 , 86 and 60 who were covering their faces at this point expecting the jokes the next time they showed their faces at moonbase or any KND facility "Come drown your embarrassment in cheese and soda to forget your problems"
They all got up and went to the kitchen were Numbuh 2 and Numbuh 5 were cutting down slices for themselves, Numbuh 4 and Numbuh 3 got two slices each while Numbuh 60 got three slices, Numbuh 86 got two slices and poured ketchup on them, everyone at the table looked grossed out at her "What? Don't judge without tasting you bunch of fools" she started eating her slice, Numbuh 1 and 362 got two slices each as well, in a few seconds they had already finished most pizzas
It was around eleven p.m when everyone finished eating, after that they kept talking and playing in the Living room for about an hour before they went to bed, Numbuhs 86, 60 and 362 arranged to sleep in Numbuh 3 room while she slept with Numbuh 4 in his room
Not 10 minutes had passed and Rachel got up and walked to Numbuh 1 bedroom knocking on his door, Numbuh 86 and 60 smiled at each other in amusement when they saw she had left
Numbuh 1 opened the door and saw Rachel carrying her Rainbow monkey in one hand while on the other she carried a pillow she was wearing her light blue pajamas "Numbuh 36- I mean Rachel, what are you doing here?"
"Numbuh 86 and 60 couldn't stop kissing each other and making cute little sounds in the other room, I didn't want to be the third wheel. Can I sleep with you?" Rachel was lying, Fanny and Patton were completely silent in the room since they didn't want to bother Rachel sleeping.
"Oh, well… I'm sure it must be a bother, come in" Nigel didn't give it too much thought since he was a bit tired from holding Numbuh 4 earlier
"Thanks" she laid down on one side of the bed while Nigel laid down on the other and pressed a remote to turn the lights off. Some time passed about 20 minutes but she didn't know what to do next. What if she tried to hug him but he pushed her back? What if she confessed to him now and he said no? She realized maybe she wasn't gonna be able to do it on her own, She started getting desperate with the idea that maybe all that she planned was all for nothing and began sobbing and crying right next to him
Nigel heard the sobbing and crying and got worried that maybe Rachel was feeling sick, he immediately turned the lights back on and sat up on his bed "Are you okay Rachel?"
She sat up as well and looked at him her eyes were a bit puffy from crying "Sorry for letting you see this pathetic behavior from your leader" she sighed
"You don't need to feel sorry nor pathetic for anything, come on I like to think I'm good at giving pieces of advice, hit me up on what is happening and I can try helping you"
"YOU happened okay?" She lunged at him a bit angry and pinned him down on the bed holding his pajamas's shirt. "Accepting the truce? My Vacations? The trip my parents went on and even my brother going with them? ALL BECAUSE OF YOU!" She pointed at Nigel. "All just so I could spend my vacations with you without worrying about some moron in the moonbase asking me the most basic stuff and all just so I could propose to you, when the girls offered to help me confessing to you I told them to stay out of this because the plan was all MINE! Patton and Fanny were dead silent in the other room. I decided to sleep in your room to confess to you and in the end I only managed to lay next to you for 20 minutes thinking what to do next" Rachel was panting, she released him and backed up as she returned to the spot she was sitting on the bed "Sorry… I really needed that"
"It's okay it's my fault actually, I asked dad this morning after you walked with me holding hands how to know if you liked me and he said that if I was making that question I probably liked you too, I planned to sleep thinking about it and ended up not thinking about you" he scratched his chin
"S-Sorry I didn't know" Rachel couldn't look in his eyes, she was looking down the entire time
"It's fine, maybe I'm making it more complicated than it needs to be, I really can't find a reason to say no after all and the reasons to say yes are too strong you are a good person, a good leader and a good friend"
"Really?" Her face lit up as she looked up at Nigel, he was blushing a bit but he seemed more pensive than anything
"Yes, sorry for making you go through this, I should've talked with you when we were returning from the grocery store earlier, come here" he opened his arms "I… love you Rachel" Now Nigel was blushing a lot too
"Rachel jumped at him and gave him a hug "I Love you too! you are one of the few people in this organization that is always there for me, I'm so sorry for yelling at you earlier" She was ecstatic, this was really happening if that was a dream she didn't want to wake up
"That's alright, just don't try doing everything on your own next time" Numbuh 1 laid together in the bed with her
"So… what now? Do we kiss? You have more practice with this dating stuff than me" Rachel had more or less recovered herself from what just happened and now was just happy to be together with Nigel
"Usually ye-" Before he could finish Rachel kissed him on the lips interrupting him, he didn't mind though and decided to let her enjoy the moment
"I waited so long for this" She laughed, it was the kind of laugh Nigel was used to hear from her, it seemed she had fully recovered
"So… for how long did you keep this to yourself?" He kissed her back this time
She yawned as it was around one A.M now "I already had a small crush on you even before I turned into supreme leader back when you unmasked Chad's betrayal I thought it was really cool, but I think It really started back when I got tired of being the supreme leader in that game of Tag, you helped me find myself back then. I cried the entire night when you refused to go to dinner the night you broke up with Lizzie, looking back at it I was being pretty selfish. That was how Fanny found out because she called me and heard me crying. she went to my home and stayed there with me hearing me crying while I told her what happened eating a bucket of ice cream
"I'm sorry to hear that, I was really sad that night, if only I knew things could have been different" He kissed her
"You should be thanking me" she chuckled "Fanny wanted me to approve your decommissioning so she could gather the decommissioning squad to catch you, you were lucky I was just sad and not angry" She laughed
"Thanks, I guess" he scratched the back of his head giving her a soft smile and yawning "Let's go to sleep I had enough emotion for one night" he said as he
"Agreed, Good night"
They gave each other a Good night kiss and fell asleep while hugging each other
While Nigel and Rachel were making out Numbuhs 3 and 4 were standing in front of a S.C.A.M.P.E.R Numbuh 4 was holding a Mattress bazooka in his back while holding a S.P.L.A.N.K.E.R, Numbuh 3 had a S.C.A.M.P.P on her hands with a T.H.U.M.P.E.R strapped in her back
"Remember you will give me cover until we reach their office where they sleep then we can go guns blazing in there until we run out of ammo then we hell out of there" Said Numbuh 4
"From all the stupid plans I could think you would be coming up with this one certainly exceeded even my expectations" said Numbuh 86 appearing behind them both carrying a sports bag with Patton following right behind carrying another bag, they both were clad in full KND Body armor
"Before Numbuh 4 could scream Numbuh 86 covered his mouth and started whispering "You both, do you want revenge for what those dorks at KNN did to us? then Wear the body armor Patton is carrying and follow my plan"
"What makes you think we will follow you?" Numbuh 4 said quietly
"Because I have a plan that not only will work but will also leave all of us satisfied" she opened the sports bag and showed it was filled with 4 shaving machines, shaving cream bombs and shaving cream spray"
Numbuhs 3, 4, 60 and 86 looked at each other with a devilish smile while the two Sector V members dropped their weapons and grabbed the bag Patton was holding to change themselves, after they were done Numbuh 86 hotwired the S.C.A.M.P.E.R in a matter of seconds and the four of them were off to the moon
