Numbuh 2 had parked the bus near some rocks, even though it was a hot day the beach was empty, Numbuhs 2 and 5 were setting up a grill, Numbuhs 86 and 60 were just finishing putting parasols and placing some towels to lie down, Numbuhs 3 and 4 were inflating floaties and Beach balls and finally Numbuhs 1 and 362 were carrying a cooler with sodas and root beer to the spot the parasols were placed
"Okay, we're done here" Numbuh 86 said
"Us too" Said Rachel while she placed the cooler below the parasol
Now to put sunscreen "Fanny turned her back on Numbuh 60 and Numbuh 1 and took off her tank-top as she laid on her stomach on the towels" Here Patton, I will help you put it too after you are done with me" she handed him the sunscreen
Patton blushed a bit surprised while he looked at his girlfriend with no clothes on the top lying on her stomach, he pulled himself together and started spreading the sunscreen on her back
Rachel looked at Nigel with an awkward smile before she turned her back on him and took off her tank-top as well and laid on her stomach on a towel right next to Fanny "Here, i will put it on you too after you help me" she handed him the sunscreen
"Of course" Nigel blushed a bit too but didn't pay it too much mind as he started putting sunscreen on his girlfriend's back
Rachel whispered to Fanny "Isn't this kinda risky though? Numbuh 10 must be spying on us"
"I'm not sacrificing my skin nor my fun just because that sorry excuse for a journalist wants a scoop" Said Fanny
"Finished here" Nigel and Patton said at the same time
"Don't you want us to do it in the front as well" Patton joked
"In your dreams maybe" Fanny smirked as she got up and turned her back on them to put her tank-top back
Rachel got a bit embarrassed by Patton's joke but proceeded to do the same as Fanny and put her Tank-top back "Now you guys can lay down" Rachel put some sunscreen on her hands as Nigel and Patton laid down in the towel, Patton had taken off his shirt
Fanny was putting sunscreen on the rest of her body "I don't wanna look like a friggin lobster, put it in the rest of your body too before that Rachel"
"Oh you're right, just a second Nigel" Rachel started putting it on her face, legs and arms
"While they do their stuff… I forgot to congratulate you guys for finally starting going out" Patton said while giving a light punch on his shoulder
"Thanks, it was really a surprise for me" Said Nigel
"I'm sure it was, when I confessed to the crazy redhead behind me here I was surprised she didn't punch me" he laughed
"Not exactly what I meant, Rachel just cried because she couldn't tell me at the beginning but then she managed to by ranting at me, actually thinking back I also thought she was going to punch me then so you are not too far from truth" Nigel said
Before they could continue talking, two pairs of hands covered in sunscreen slapped their backs and they both screamed "COLD! COLD! COLD!"
"You were not supposed to say I cried" Rachel said awkwardly while she proceeded to spread sunscreen on her boyfriend's back "It's embarrassing you know that?"
"Sorry about that, it was kinda cute for me though" Said Nigel smiling at her
So? Who is this crazy redhead you were speaking about? Someone I should know? Said Fanny while she rubbed the sunscreen on his back with a big grin on her face
"I'm going to introduce you two someday don't worry" he laughed
While that Numbuh 4 was looking at them a bit envious and Numbuh 3 had noticed, they had just finished inflating all floaties and the beach ball and were sitting near the water a few meters away from the parasols
"You are so easy to read sometimes Wally" She giggled "Here" she handed him a Rainbow Monkey themed Sunscreen then she turned her back on him and took off only the top half of her swimsuit
"Even your sunscreen has these stupid monkeys, how is that even possible?" Numbuh 4 started spreading the sunscreen on her back while complaining
"I'm gonna put it on you too after you are done with me, we will both smell like rainbows after we are done" she giggled
"Just perfect" he sighed
Numbuh 5 was eating meat from a skewer with one hand while grilling with another, Numbuh 2 was spreading sunscreen on her back, she had a dark blue normal bikini "They are too distracting" Abby Said "I Just Wanna Grill for God's Sake" she glanced at her friends
"Aren't we kind of doing the same thing though?" Numbuh 2 asked "I'm done by the way, swap"
Numbuh 2 switched places with her and started grilling the meat and drinking a bottle of soda while Abby put sunscreen on his back
"Well kinda, but we aren't flirting" She started spreading the sunscreen on his back
"You said you didn't want the attention" Numbuh 2 said before putting the soda in the ground and taking a meat skewer for himself
"Numbuh 5 already told you, if you want to tell them I'm all for that but the lack of privacy would bother me" Abby said while she finished putting it on his back
"Well, I'm not bothered by it, but I would be bothered by you bothering so I think things are fine the way they are" Numbuh 2 was putting the meat that was already done on a plate
"I would have to punch you if you said bother one more time" she laughed
While Hoagie and Abby were talking Numbuh 3 had convinced Numbuh 4 to get in the water
"Okay… you are doing good Wally" she was holding him by his hands while a small floatie below his chest made him float easier in the water
"I DON'T LIKE THIS ONE BIT! PLEASE GET ME OUT OF HERE!" Wally screamed desperately at her
Kuki kissed him on the lips to calm him down "Relax, I'm here for you" she smiled at him "Now one leg after another no need to thrash around
Numbuh 3's kiss really worked its magic on him, he was still in constant fear but his breathing got better "A-Alright…" kicking one foot after another against the water while Numbuh 3 held him gently
"I'm taking out the floatie now so don't panic… "Numbuh 3 tossed the floatie that was below her boyfriend's chest aside and released his hands so she could hold him by the chest herself "Now you need to stroke the water as if you are pushing against it in rhythm with your legs, take your time…
Numbuh 4 got a bit embarrassed by being taught that by his girlfriend in such a childish way but he followed her every command since he was afraid of drowning now "Huhhh… I… I need another kiss" he wasn't saying it for his pleasure his breath was truly getting worst and his heart was really starting to sound like a construction site
"I got you hehe" she approached him and kissed him again this time it took longer for her to finish the kissing she then released him as she broke off the kiss "how are you feeling?"
"As if I'm about to vomit to be honest, but hey I'm not drowning" Numbuh 4 said
"Was my kiss that bad?" she sounded a bit annoyed
"W-What? No! It was great, I was talking about the swimming" he looked a bit worried she understood it wrong
She giggled at him "I was joking don't worry, now try standing up, keep kicking the water gently if it's too difficult also use your hands"
"Alright…" Numbuh 4 managed to stand up inside water but he still looked worried
"You are doing great Wally, Now try following me" Kuki started swimming away from him
Wally took his time but was able to swim to where she waited for him "Sorry I took so long" he was panting
"At least you can swim now" she smiled at him
"I still prefer the sand though" he said
Numbuhs 1, 60, 86 and 362 had just finished setting up a Volleyball Net and were watching Kuki teaching Wally how to swim before starting their game
"Great, now I can put him on missions without worrying if there is water for him to drown" Numbuh 1 said
"Shall we get started?" Rachel said while finishing a hot dog
"Sure, just wait a second" Numbuh 86 gave a loud whistle to Numbuhs 2 and 5 "Which one of you two wants to be the referee?" She asked
"Leave it to me" Said Numbuh 2 pointing at himself confidently while carrying a beach chair on his other hand
Abby crouched down next to the volleyball net and drew a score in the sand "Numbuh 5 will be the scorekeeper then"
Numbuh 2 set up the chair next to Numbuh 5 and pulled a whistle out of his pocket
The match was Nigel and Rachel versus Fanny and Patton
Rachel did an Underhand Serve first, it crossed the net but Patton raised it for Fanny who hit the ball across the net Nigel tried to defend but the ball came too fast and so the first point was for 60/86 team
Next was Patton's time to serve, he threw the ball up in the air and gave a huge jump then hit the ball mid-air it flew in high-velocity but Nigel jumped and defended it before it could pass the net giving his team one point
Nigel was next to serve, he did an Underhand serve just like Rachel but much, much stronger, It flew high in the sky, both Fanny and Patton were looking up trying to hit it but in the end, when the ball was falling they both didn't look where they were going and hit each other in the head, Fanny got furious at Patton but proceeded with the game
Fanny had fire in her eyes she looked at her two friends on the other side of the volleyball net and gave them a challenging smile she threw the ball up in the hair just like Patton but instead of jumping she just waited for it and hit it not below but directly behind the ball, it was a Float serve, Nigel and Rachel got very confused, the ball was going in a weird direction, they both tried to follow it but ended up doing nothing and earning one point for Fanny's team
While the match raged on Numbuh 4 and Numbuh 3 were watching it sitting on a floatie bed kissing and cuddling each other away from the others
"Who do you think wins this one?" Asked Numbuh 3
"
Are you kidding? Numbuh 86 and 60 are monsters, Numbuh 1 and Numbuh 362 are strong but they aren't that strong hell if I got in a serious fight with 86 I would barely escape alive, don't ever tell her I said that" he said while he hugged her as she rested on his lap
Numbuh 3 stomach started to grumble "huhhh… I didn't eat since we reached here, let's go back" she was blushing a little knowing Numbuh 4 heard that
"Sure" he saw her blushing but didn't know why, must be some silly girl stuff he thought, after a few minutes they reached land and rushed straight to Numbuh 2's grill to get stuff to eat, Numbuh 4 sat on the chair his friend was sitting a few minutes ago while Kuki was sitting on his lap eating the meat they had left on a platter after finishing grilling all the meat "give me some too" Numbuh 4 said
"Here you go, you like ribs right?" she handed him a plate full of ribs covered in sauce
"What kind of question is that?" he took the plate from her hands and started eating the ribs
She giggled "Here's a follow-up, can you hand me a root beer from the cooler behind you?" she said
"You bet" Numbuh 4 opened the cooler behind his chair and handed a can of root beer to Numbuh 3 he also picked a bottle of cola for him
A few minutes had passed when Numbuh 2 and Numbuh 5 came back to the grill "Hey guys" Numbuh 2 waved at them before putting his chair back and sitting next to Numbuh 4, Numbuh 5 picked a chair from inside the bus and sat right next to Numbuh 2
Numbuh 3 then saw Numbuhs 1, 60, 86 and 362 in the water playing with the beach ball she and Wally had inflated earlier "So, who won? Numbuh 3 asked
"Rachel and Nigel, but it was a close call" Numbuh 2 said as he picked a popsicle from the cooler for him and handed another to Numbuh 5 "By the way, nice work with the swimming thing" He gave Numbuh 3 a high-five
"No way, I was sure 86 and 60 would win" Wally said while hugging Kuki from behind
"You bet against Numbuh 1? And you still call yourself Sector V?" Numbuh 2 laughed
"Numbuh 5 thought they would win as well to tell you truth" Abby said
After several minutes of small talk and laughs, Numbuh 362 came with three very hungry friends who didn't eat the entire time they were at the beach
"So that's why they lost…" Numbuh 4 said
Numbuhs 1, 60 and 86 picked beach chairs from inside the bus and started eating everything on sight, Rachel picked her chair too. she only ate one hotdog since they started playing volleyball so she was a bit hungry too, she filled her plate with chicken wings and proceeded to sit right next to her boyfriend who had one hotdog filled with ketchup on each hand
Fanny had a plate full of garlic bread while Patton filled his plate with hamburger steak "So.. Truth or Dare?," Fanny picked the cola bottle Numbuh 4 had just finished and put it on a table at the center of their beach chairs circle "Before we pack things up and go back to the treehouse, who is in for a little game?" she said right before eating a garlic bread
Numbuh 3 went inside the bus and picked a chair for herself, she put it right next to Numbuh 4's chair "Spin it" She looked at everyone they were giving a challenging look at each other
Fanny gave a flick at the tip of the bottle it spun for no more than 2 seconds before it fell on Nigel "Alright Numbuh 1 Truth or Dare?"
"Dare" Nigel said
"I will start with an easy one…I dare you… to wear Rachel's supreme leader hat for the rest of the game" she pointed at Nigel
Rachel sighed as she went to the bus and picked a bag inside it was her Supreme leader Hat "here" she handed him the helmet
"You carry it around all the time?" Numbuh 3 asked
"Yes she does" Fanny said Laughing
"Alright then" Nigel put on the helmet and proceeded to spin the bottle, when it stopped spinning it fell on Numbuh 3 "So Numbuh 3, Truth or Dare?"
"I will choose Dare too" she gave her usual smile at him
"Alright, just a second" Nigel entered inside the bus and got back with a mug filled with something"
"This is a sugary concoction Numbuh 5 stored in the Bus back when she fought stickybeard, try not to pass out" he handed her the Mug
Numbuh 3 gulped and then mustered the courage to chug it down in one go, before she could put the mug in the table though she noticed she was seeing everything tripled and fell out of her chair still very much awake but very dizzy "Hehehe… why there are 21 of you now?" she let out a burp before recovering her senses "oww… my head…" Numbuh 3 just went ahead and spun the bottle without saying much, it fell on Rachel, Numbuh 3 fully recovered when she saw who the bottle fell on "What is it gonna be?"
"Well I'm gonna change things a little, Truth" Rachel said
Kuki was ecstatic at this point "Alright, this is something I wanted to ask you since yesterday" she giggled "Why your Rainbow Monkey is using glasses?"
Rachel looked at Fanny who was also Ecstatic at this point and then she looked back at Numbuh 3, she sighed "I was in Fanny's room yesterday and… well the Rainbow Monkey was red… had glasses and stuff…" she kicked the ground a bit before continuing "I thought it looked a bit like Nigel so… Fanny noticed it and gave it to me as a present…" Rachel covered her face with both hands, she was burning in shame at this point
Kuki was fidgeting on her seat and right next to her was Fanny doing the same thing "THIS IS SO CUTE!" They said at the same time, Fanny saw the look on Patton's face after her reaction and quickly pulled herself together though
Rachel looked at Nigel who was a bit shocked but looked happy about it "W-Whatever!" Rachel spun the bottle to try changing the subject, it fell on Numbuh 2
"Alright, Truth or Dare Numbuh 2?" Rachel asked
"Truth" he said before drinking a soda
"Who do you like? it's a simple one"
Numbuh 2 spilled his soda through his nose and started coughing hard at Rachel's question
"W-Who I like?! W-well…" suddenly Hoagie felt a finger circling on the back of his chair it was Numbuh 5 she was drawing an ok on his back, with that he managed to get a hold of himself
"Or… maybe not so simple, if you want I can ask another question" Rachel said a bit worried now
He laughed "No, no it's fine, just got a bit surprised, ehhh… I like Abby" he let out a huge sigh of relief
Numbuh 5 also gave a huge sigh of relief "Well, at least now it will be easier for us to go out, dating in my house sucks"
Numbuh 3 and Numbuh 4 looked at each other "Uhhh… guys? I know Rachel doesn't know you two that much but… It was pretty friggin obvious for us" Numbuh 4 said
"Yeah… the fact you went to her house every weekend alone kinda hinted that, sorry we aren't so surprised, we are truly happy for you two though" Numbuh 3 said
"Sorry, I didn't know you were trying to hide it, it was just a casual question everyone asks in this kind of game" Rachel said a bit awkwardly
"Oh it's ok, it turned out well for everyone" Numbuh 2 said before spinning the bottle
The game went on for several hours after that, it went from Patton kissing Numbuh 86's belly button to Wally and Kuki re-enacting the closet scene this time without zombies and even Nigel having to do 20 push-ups with Rachel sitting on his back
After almost all food they had brought to the beach was finished and they got tired of playing truth or dare, Numbuh 2 activated something on the bus that made a giant vacuum made out of 2x4 technology appear on top of it and store all the stuff they had left like the parasols and the volleyball net, they had spent the entire afternoon in the beach that day, they were back in the treehouse after a few minutes.
I don't like 2/5 that much but The fact that they were the only ones doing nothing on the story was bothering me a bit
