After unloading their things from the bus and taking a bath after the beach they decided to all watch tv in anticipation as they thought today was going to be the reportage about Rachel and Nigel, They all sat down on the couch in front of the TV and turned on KNN news
"...And with that, we can proceed with today's Gossip panel with Numbuh 10, where our Sector Leader keeps you informed on all the biggest news inside KND famous figures, what do you have for us today?" The anchorman asked her
"Today we continue yesterday's report about Sector V's Numbuh 3 and Numbuh 4 and two of our most talented officers Numbuh 60 and Numbuh 86 as these two couples decided to go to the beach today" Numbuh 10 said
Rachel breathed a sigh of relief "Thank god it's not today" She relaxed on the couch
"Today is a special day though, I bring with me a talking table, a bit of a spin we added at the last moment to the panel with well-known guests/operatives where they will comment about the topic at hand, without further ado let's present today's guests!" she pointed at 3 curtains covering three chairs on a round table while she sitted on a fourth chair opposite to the three chairs "Now… Guest Number 1 is…" The spotlight was pointed at the curtain and drums roll could be heard, the curtains were lifted and inside them there it was "Nuuuumbuh 23!" Numbuh 10 said after a round of applause
"Thanks, I was pretty surprised when I got the invite, I'm gonna judge their every move" Numbuh 23 grinned evilly
I'm sure you will, It's our pleasure to have you here, now for our next guest… Numbuh 10 smiled as she pointed at curtain number 2 the spotlights aimed at it again as the drums rolled, the curtain started opening and it was… "Numbuh 101!" Numbuh 10 said after The curtain was lifted revealing the Museum-Curator for the KND
"Famous KND operatives are my area of expertise, I'm so glad i could take part in today's show, by the way, Numbuh 10 I will need an autograph later" he said while adjusting his tie
"No problem" She smiled at him "And now for our final guest…" the Spotlight once again aimed at the curtain while drum rolls were playing in the back, the curtain lifted to reveal "Numbuh 35!" Numbuh 10 said before a round of applause could be heard for the moonbase scout
"Hey guys" he said while waving at the camera and smiling a bit nervous "Numbuh 10 met me earlier in the cafeteria and asked if I could join and I thought: "why not?" and here we are"
"And we here in the studio are glad you agreed to come" she smiled at him "But enough chit-chat let's go to the main focus of this show" Numbuh 10 aimed a controller at a big screen on the studio and turned it on
The screen transitioned to Numbuh 86 spreading sunscreen on Patton's chest, which was a bit after she finished spreading it on his back "And you are sure this is only because you worry I may not put it correctly on myself?" he asked giving her a huge grin
"Would you believe me if I said yes? she asked blushing a bit but grinning at him as well
"No chance" he pulled her in for a hug and kissed her while she lied on top of him
That was when the camera zoomed out and showed Rachel and Nigel were censored by a huge black square written top secret right next to Patton and Fanny
Both Rachel and Nigel spat their drinks and burst out laughing "Oh god I'm crying, I didn't know their special effects team was so bad" she hammered her fist several times on the table "No wonder she wanted an episode with me and you" she whipped a tear from her eye and resumed watching the show
Numbuh 101 was the first to give his opinion on the scene that displayed before them "I think people are wrong when they say those two are completely different, they could both break a coconut with their bare hands and their way of flirting is pretty similar to me"
Numbuh 23 was next to comment "I remember when I was watching the show yesterday and saw that scene at the medic tent, I nearly broke something from laughing, they are cute together but in an awkward way, especially Fanny, she always hated boys so much, I thought it was a joke when I saw it"
"That's a bit mean Numbuh 23" Numbuh 35 crossed his arms "She just needed a little push from a boy she was close to" he smiled at her
Numbuh 23 covered the lower part of her face with her hand to look like she was pensive but in truth she was just blushing at him and trying to cover it "Hmmm… maybe you are correct..;" she gave a little cough "What about you Numbuh 10, what do you think about those two?"
"They are a special kind of cute" Numbuh 10 giggled "As you know it they invaded our offices last night and shaved some heads, those two never left each other's side and were in perfect synchrony the whole time while some may think this is scary or think it's cool I think it totally matches those two kind of cute, one aways looking for the other" A round of applause could be heard from the studio audience
Numbuh 86 was covering her entire face with a pillow nearby even then it could still be seen she was bright red "HAVING SOMEONE ON TELEVISION SAY THINGS ABOUT YOUR RELATIONSHIPS IS THE WORST POSSIBLE EXPERIENCE ON EARTH!"
"Agreed…" Patton usually didn't blush that much but this time was different, he was covering his face with both hands while he tried to forget the talk he just heard "That was terrible for my heart"
"Stop being dramatic" Numbuh 4
"Yeah, that was very cute" "Numbuh 3 said
"Now with our next couple, Numbuh 3 and Numbuh 4, our guests have anything to say about them before we show our new footage?"
"Now that's what I'm talking about, painfully obvious without any surprises and not weird at all, literally everyone in the organization knew how those two liked each other" Numbuh 23 said
Everyone at the table nodded
"But when you think about it it's just weird they had to turn into zombies to find each other, no pun intended" Numbuh 34 said
"Oh but that's the magic in this whole ordeal Numbuh 34, they would never be able to confess to each other without this little push, one is simply too shy and dense and the other is simply too shy and an airhead, it would only advance if their brains weren't in the right place" Numbuh 101 said as the audience applauded his opinion
Numbuh 10 was clapping her hands "Beautiful words Numbuh 101, With that out of the way let's see the new video of this fan-favorite couple ladies and gentleman, Numbuh 3 teaching Numbuh 4 learning how to swim" Numbuh 10 pressed a button aiming the controller at the screen
"Oh no…" Numbuh 4 said covering his face on a pillow
the footage started a bit foggy since it was underwater then the camera surfaced from the water and there it was Numbuh 3 holding Wally's arms while he kicked his feet in the water with a floatie below his chest
"Hey… I need another kiss seriously" the public at home could hear his breath getting more desperate
The audience made an "owwwww…" at that exact moment
"You don't need to ask twice hehe" Numbuh 3 pulled him closer and kissed him on the lips "better?"
"I think so, let's keep going" then the footage cut
Numbuh 23 fell out of her chair and grabbed her chest "Gahhhhhh! it's too much sugar for me, this is criminally cute" she said laughing
"Do you see what I mean? they bring out the best characteristics from each other and do this kind of stuff that no couple would be able to pull off at least not at this level" Numbuh 101 said
"They are good! It was a bit too cutesy for me but hey I'm all for that as well if it means getting together with a cute girl!" Numbuh 34 said while he looked at Numbuh 23 as she got up and sat back on her chair a bit nervous
"I think her teaching him how to swim fits too well with what kind of couple we got here, she is the very caring and understanding kind and he is the very shy and protective one, they form a great couple. Numbuh 10 said
Kuki was smiling while holding her cheeks. They were very red. "That wasn't so bad, they said nice things about you and me… but yeah… hearing people talk about you on tv is kinda different…" she approached Numbuh 4 who was holding his face with both hands also embarrassed and have him a kiss on the neck
"That felt good, thanks… could you do that again?" Numbuh 4 took off his hands from his face
"Sure!" Kuki kept kissing his neck and cuddling with him on the couch
Fanny was on her phone and after a few minutes she approached Patton and sighed "Drilovsky it's time… my mother just called she invited you for dinner, she said no weapons come on" Fanny opened her hands gesturing Patton to give her the S.P.I.C.E.R he always kept on his hip
Patton handed her his weapon and asked "Are you okay? Worried?"
"How did you find out?" she chuckled as she threw his weapon at Numbuh 2 who promised to return it when they got back
"Now you did see a lot of couples here today, all of them very good but… it doesn't even compare with the couple we have planned for tomorrow, that's a promise from me Numbuh 10 to you viewers, tomorrow will be the greatest episode of the KNN news gossip panel, DO. NOT. LOSE. IT" Numbuh 10 looked at the camera with an evil grin that pierced directly into Rachel's soul as the show ended
"SO THAT'S HOW SHE WANTS TO PLAY HUH? ALL RIGHT THEN! I WILL GIVE HER ALL MATERIAL SHE WANTS!" Rachel got fire coming out of her eyes "We are going on a date tomorrow you and me" Rachel looked at Nigel before she got up and went to Nigel's room
Well… can't wait" Nigel said as he headed to the kitchen to make something to eat, everyone followed suit and started picking stuff to prepare for dinner
Except Numbuhs 60 and 86 who headed to take another bath this time together, to save time and strategize according to Numbuh 86 they both went inside the bathtub, Fanny was washing her hair using shampoo and conditioner, Patton was looking at her from the other side of the bathtub still a bit surprised she wasn't blushing one bit
"Is it really that serious? I thought your mother was okay with me and your father wouldn't interfere violently anymore, we are taking a bath together in a bathtub and you aren't even embarrassed"
"It still is a test you idiot, we will have plenty of time to get embarrassed about being naked in a…" Fanny had just noticed the situation she put herself in after her head cooled down a bit, she then looked at Patton then down at herself, then at Patton and then back at herself
"You didn't think this through did you?" Patton crossed his arms
"No…" Fanny was red in shame, she had just exposed herself to him without even thinking "Why aren't you embarrassed though?"
"The situation is so funny I forgot to get shocked to be honest, besides I only caught a glimpse of you while you and the water is above them now so…" it was a total lie though he saw everything and for a long while when she wasn't looking, even though the water was hot his body was trembling but he didn't want to cause panic now of all times so he was trying his best to keep his cool "So what's for dinner?" he picked the shampoo out of her hands and started washing his hair
Fanny turned her back on him inside the bathtub and started washing herself "You are a terrible liar you know that? I saw you looking earlier imbecile" she nudged him on the ribs "It's Mac n' cheese by the way"
"Great, anything else I should know?" Patton asked rubbing the area where she nudged him
"Yeah, don't tell my father what happened here or a laser to your chest will be the least of your worries" she lowered her head in the water and started making bubbles while looking annoyed
"Noted" Patton said
After a few more seconds Fanny left the bathtub while Patton looked away and wrapped herself on a towel, Patton then left too while Fanny looked away and wrapped himself as well
Patton and Fanny were changing themselves in Numbuh 3's room since they took the opportunity to store their stuff in her room since she spent most of her time on Numbuh 4's room now, they were each looking at opposite sides, after some time they both turned to see each other, Fanny was wearing a black dress not too long but not too short, her hair was pulled down and she carried a little bag with her, Patton was wearing a dark blue blazer with a white shirt below it and pants matching his blazer.
"Sorry, I'm not one for fashion" Patton said
Fanny giggled "It will do just fine" she approached him to give him a hug and a kiss
"You look gorgeous though" he grabbed her hand and led her to the main hangar
Numbuh 1 was waiting for them "If I see a scratch on it…" he tossed Patton the R.O.A.D.S.T.A.R keys
"Thanks, Numbuh 1" Patton took off with Fanny, they reached her house a few minutes later, Patton knocked on the door while Fanny was hugging his other arm
before they could even realize a camera flash blinded them "You two look just perfect! Come on inside, dinner's almost ready" Said Mrs. Fulbright with a camera in her hand
"Thanks mom…" Fanny facepalmed
Patton smiled at her "Come on we will see more of that probably, don't hit your limit now"
"You're right, focus" they both went inside to wait for dinner, Mr boss was sitting at the end of the table playing with Shaunie on his back
"hahaha! Is it too high for you Shaunie?" Boss was laughing having fun with his son
"I want higher!" Shaunie was laughing
Paddy was playing a video game on the left side of the table while he waited for dinner "Hey, Fanny and Numbuh 60 arrived"
"It's just Patton here recruit" Patton said jokingly while smiling at him he then proceeded to sit on the right side of the table, his girlfriend sat right next to him
Boss put Shaunie down as his son returned to his place next to Paddy, he stared at Patton "So… you are the Training sergeant for the brats from what I heard" he scratched his chin while looking with suspicion at Patton
"Yeah… minus the brat part" Patton looked at him a bit cautiously
Mrs. Fulbright set the plates on the table and filled them with mac n' cheese, she also set water cups and silverware for everyone
"Huhh… thanks " Patton said
"Owww no need to thank me, you look so nervous poor boy, My husband isn't giving you a hard time is he?" she said while pinching Patton's cheek
"E-Everything is alright Ma'am" Patton said
The Fulbright brother started snickering between each other while looking at Patton, Fanny gave them a fiery angry look though and they immediately stopped in fear of what she could do
"I promised I wouldn't attack the boy but you didn't tell me anything about criticizing him" Boss laughed as he started eating his dinner
"Just don't exaggerate Daddy" Fanny said with a worried tone before she started eating as well
"It's alright, everything is great so far" Patton said before he started eating as well
For a few minutes the Dinner was almost quiet, everyone focused on eating their meal until Boss asked Patton with a perverse grin on his face "So boy, have you already thought about marriage?"
Fanny choked on her Mac N' Cheese after hearing that "W-What?!"
Patton paused for a second, he really tried to not have the same reaction as his girlfriend, after swallowing the Mac N' cheese that was in his mouth he looked at Boss "Huhhh… It's a bit too early for that so I can't say I have, but if we stay together until then I think it would be great" he said after while sweating after that he proceed to eat another bite of his Mac N' cheese
"I see… be sure to invite me for it when it happens" Boss chuckled
"How did you two got together?" Fanny's mother asked
"Huhhh… I injured my leg and he brought flowers to me, then he confessed" Fanny said a bit embarrassed
"Oh! A romantic!" Her mother said looking at Patton
Patton blushed but didn't say anything about comment
The Dinner kept going on without any major problems after that, after everyone finished the Mac N' Cheese Fanny's mother set slices of passion fruit pie for everyone
Patton was the first to taste it "Hey, this is great" he kept eating
Everyone followed suit and enjoyed their desserts, Boss then scratched his chin and looked at Patton, he then smiled "So boy, when are you giving me grandchildren?"
This time Fanny and Patton choked on their food
Fanny looked at him in disbelief and blushing she yelled "DAAAAAAD!"
"Okay" Patton was coughing hard "That caught me off guard… I didn't expect you to ask this one" he said while Fanny gave him a few hits on the back
Paddy and Shaunie looked at each other confused
gave a light chuckle at the young couple's reaction "Don't embarrass them honey, when the time is right they can answer that don't you agree dear?" she looked at Patton
"S-Sure when the time is right we can talk about this kind.. of… stuff hehe… is it hot in here?"
Below the table Patton was holding Fanny's hand like he meant to crush it, the question did hit a nerve, and since the moment didn't allow it his only way to vent his embarrassment a bit was holding her hand with all his strength
If it was another girl it could be a problem since Patton's strength could break something but Fanny was in a similar situation trying to concentrate on something other than her dad's question, she was tightening her grip as strongly as Patton
"Well I'm so happy everyone enjoyed the passion fruit pie I made, Fanny why don't you help me wash the dishes while the boys rest the food?" Her mother said
"S-Sure mother" Fanny followed her mother to the kitchen "Good luck" she whispered to Patton
"Well that's going to be fun" Patton thought "Did you really need to ask something like that?" he asked her father
"I thought you were getting too cocky" Boss Laughed "As long as you don't break her tiny little heart and respect her I think I don't need to kill you"
"Ehhh… thanks I guess?" he smiled at him awkwardly
"Oh yeah one more thing, Be careful okay? I hate you and I hope you die but If she is anything like her mother when… you know…" he looked at Paddy and Shaunie as he was not able to say what he meant but Patton understood what he was trying to say
"Uhhhh… sure, I will be careful…" Patton blushed not sure exactly why her father who he thought would try killing him at the first mention of something like that was saying that to him
"Drilovsky, I'm finished with the dishes, wanna go back to the treehouse?"
"Yeah, Dinner was good but it's about time we leave, thank you for having me and Mrs. Fulbright"
"Wait, before you go can I have a picture of you two giving a little kiss? pleeeeeease?" Her mother asked the couple
"FINE! let's get this over with so I can rest" Fanny looked at Patton
Patton pulled her in close and gave her a short kiss, just in time for the camera to capture their moment
"Thank you!" she waved at them while throwing kisses at the two as they got in the Roadstar and left Fanny's house
"SHE IS UNBELIEVABLE!" Fanny complained while they were flying back to the treehouse
"Well she is a bit over the top but taking a photo of your daughter kissing seems pretty normal to me" Patton said while he was piloting the Roadstar
"By the way, what did daddy say while I was in the kitchen with my mother?" Fanny asked
Patton blushed thinking about what her dad said about her family females unusual behavior "He just said I was being too cocky and he wanted to give me a scare, he also said he wouldn't try to kill me if I didn't break your heart and treated you with respect" Patton said
"Hey that sounds pretty okay with me, I didn't expect him to be so calm about it today" she said
"I think he actually doesn't hate me completely to be honest" Patton said
"Now I think you are being way too positive" she laughed
They reached the Treehouse a few minutes later, it was already late but not everyone was sleeping, Patton knocked on Numbuh 1's door to hand him back his keys to the Roadstar who was in there was Rachel she was in her pajamas she was holding her Rainbow Monkey but this time it was using Numbuh 1 glasses
He looked at the Rainbow Monkey then back at her "I'm not even going to ask, here" Patton handed her the keys and left
Rachel looked at the rainbow monkey and shrugged as she hugged it and got back to bed
Numbuh 2 and Numbuh 5 were playing cards in the living room and Numbuhs 3 and 4 were sleeping together in the couch
Patton got back to his room where Fanny was already half asleep, he was exhausted and just collapsed on the bed for the rest of the Night
