(A little Water type named Finneon begins trying to wake his dad up).
Finneon: First day of school! First day of school! Wake up! Wake up! C'mon, first day of school! (Finneon then jumps on top of Lumineon, who is asleep on the anemone floor. Lumineon Says asleep).
Lumineon: I do not want to go to school ― five more minutes.
Finneon: Not you, Dad, me! Get up! Get up! (Finneon is so excited he swims across the anemone, just as Lumineon slowly begins to wake up to see Finneon swimming across the anemone).
Lumineon: Okay. Huh?
Finneon: Get up, get up!
Lumineon: I am up... what is it?
Finneon: It is time for school!
Lumineon: All right, I am up. It is time for school.
Finneon: It is time for school! Time for school! Time for school! Oh, boy, oh, boy, oh boy! (Finneon loses control and tumbles out of the anemone). Whoa!
Lumineon: Finneon! (Lumineon bursts out of the anemone to find Finneon stuck, face first, in a vase coral. Finneon Says muffled; but still excited).
Finneon: First day of school!
Lumineon: Finneon, do not move! Do not move! You will never get out of there yourself; I will do it. (In an anxious fervor, Lumineon pops Finneon out of the vase coral, rushes him back inside, and frantically checks him all over). All right, where is the break? Do you feel a break? (Finneon Says Calmly).
Finneon: No.
Lumineon: Sometimes you cannot tell because fluid is rushing to the area. Now, any rushing fluids?
Finneon: No.
Lumineon: Are you woozy?
Finneon: No.
Lumineon: What is the Number of stripes that I have?
Finneon: I am fine.
Lumineon: Answer the stripe question!
Finneon: Three.
Lumineon: No! See, something is wrong with you, I have one... (Lumineon checks himself to see whether he has three stripes or not, and calms down upon noticing that he has three stripes). two, three? That is all I have? Oh, you are okay. How is the lucky fin? (Finneon then shows Lumineon his right pectoral fin, noticeably smaller than his other fin. Whenever he is swimming, Finneon need to flap it twice as fast, like a hummingbird, to stay balanced).
Finneon: Lucky.
Lumineon: Let us see. (Finneon awkwardly slaps his dad five with the withered fin). Are you sure you wanna go to school this year? Because there is no problem if you do not. You can wait five or ― six years.
Finneon: Come on, Dad. It is time for school!
Lumineon: Ah-ah-ah! Forgot to brush.
Finneon: Oh.
Lumineon: Do you want this anemone to sting you? (Finneon Looks at it).
Finneon: Yes.
Lumineon: Brush. (Finneon gives a brief perfunctory graze against the tendrils).
Finneon: Okay, I am thru!
Lumineon: Uh, you missed a spot!
Finneon: Where?
Lumineon: There. (Lumineon begins to tickle Finneon, who begins laughing as a result). And right there. And here and here! (Lumineon pokes his head out of the anemone, tentatively. Finneon does the same. This anemone is a new home, resting in the center of an isolated cul de sac deep inside the reef, nice and safe). All right. We are excited. First day of school. Here we go. We are ready to learn, to get a little knowledge. Now, what is the one thing we need to remember about the oceans?
Finneon: It is not safe.
Lumineon: That is my boy. So... first we check to see that the coast is clear... we go out... (Lumineon ventures out halfway, before pulling right back into the anemone. He then goes ahead to repeat this routine ad nauseum). ...and back in. And then we go out... and back in. And then one more time, out... and back in. And sometimes if you want to do it four times ―
Finneon: Dad...
Lumineon: All right, come on, boy. (Impatient, Finneon heads out. Lumineon dotes his son's progress as they swim through the coral).
Finneon: Dad, maybe while I am at school, I will see a Sharpedo!
Lumineon: I highly doubt that.
Finneon: Have you ever met a Sharpedo?
Lumineon: No, and I do not plan to.
Finneon: How old are Carracosta?
Lumineon: Carracosta? I ― I do not know...
Finneon: Pyukumuku from next door... he said that Carracosta, they live to be about a hundred years old!
Lumineon: Well, do you know what if I ever meet a Carracosta, I will ask him. After I am thru talking to the Sharpedo, okay? (Lumineon Grabs onto Finneon). Whoa, whoa! Hold on. Wait to cross. (Lumineon pulls Finneon back from an intersection of streaming Water Type. A Crawdaunt crossing guard stops the traffic and allows them to cross over).
Lumineon: Hold my fin, hold my fin.
Finneon: Dad, you are not going to freak out like you did at the petting zoo, are you?
Lumineon Hey, that Omanyte was about to charge.
