Finding Finneon Chapter 8 Sharks

Kyogre: Hello. (Lumineon does not dare move. But Brionne says Cheery).
Brionne: Well, hi!
Kyogre: Name's Kyogre. (The Pokémon juts out a fin. Lumineon stays frozen). S'alright, I understand. Why trust a Kyogre, right? (Kyogre chomps for effect. Lumineon leaps behind Brionne. Kyogre laughs hard as he Studies both Brionne and Lumineon). So... what's a couple of bites like you doin' out so late, eh? (Lumineon Says from Behind Brionne).
Lumineon: Nothing, we are not doing anything, we are not even out.
Kyogre: Great. Then how would your morsels like to come to a little ― a little get-together I am having?
Brionne: Do you mean like a party?
Kyogre: Yes... Yeah, right a party! (Kyogre chuckles). Waddya say? (Brionne Elbows Lumineon).
Brionne: Ooh, I love parties! That like sounds fun!
Lumineon: Y'know parties are fun, and it is tempting, but we cannot because ― (Kyogre puts a big fin around each of them, trapping them).
Kyogre: Aw, come on, I insist.
Lumineon: O-okay, that is all that matters. (Kyogre leads them up and over a rocky ridge into an undersea crater, littered with floating land mines, all moored to the sandy floor with heavy iron chains, making it look like an underwater graveyard).
Brionne: Hey, look! Balloons! It is a party! (Kyogre Laughs).
Kyogre: Mind your distance, though. Those "balloons" can be a bit unsure. You would not want one of them to pop. (Kyogre weaves through the minefield. From out the eerie darkness, the haunted wreck of a sunken submarine slowly takes shape. Kyogre swims toward a massive hole in the sub's hull that acts as the mess hall. Kyogre Calls Out).
Kyogre: Dhelmise! Gyarados! (Lumineon cringes in horror as he spots a Gyarados and a Dhelmise, swimming anxiously in figure eights inside the wreck. They look out the hole).
Dhelmise: There you are, Kyogre! Finally!
Kyogre: We got company!
Dhelmise: Well, it is about time, mate.
Gyarados: We have already gone through all the snacks, and I am still starvin'!
Dhelmise: We almost had to have a feeding frenzy.
Gyarados: C'mon, let us get this over with. (Kyogre pushes Lumineon and Brionne down into the sub, towards the snapping jaws of the other Pokémon. Lumineon covers his eyes. Lumineon did not want to go like this). (In the sub mess hall, a shark tail strikes a bell, causing it to ring. Lumineon uncovers one eye. Kyogre hovers over a sink, which acts as a make-shift podium. It truly is a meeting).
Kyogre: Right, then. The meeting has officially come to order. Let us all say the pledge. (Kyogre, Dhelmise, Gyarados, and, surprisingly, Brionne all lift their right fins. Kyogre, Dhelmise, Gyarados Say in unison).
Kyogre/Dhelmise/Gyarados: I am a nice Pokémon, not a mindless eating machine. If I am to change this image, I must first change myself. Pokémon are friends, not food.
Dhelmise: Except stinkin' Feebas.
Gyarados: Feebas. Yes. They think they are so cute. (Gyarados Says mockingly). Oh, look at me, I am a flippin' little Feebas. Let me flip for ya'! Ain't I somethin'! (Dhelmise and Brionne laugh. Lumineon does not).
Kyogre: Right then. Today's meeting is "Step Five: Bring a Pokémon Friend." Now, do you all have your friends?
Dhelmise: Got mine. (Dhelmise rises to reveal a quivering Magikarp floating under him. Brionne Waves and Says).
Brionne: Hey there!
Kyogre: How 'bout you, Gyarados?
Gyarados: Oh... well... I, um... seem to have misplaced my... uh... friend. (Gyarados gives a guilty smile, revealing the bones of a Pokémon tail stuck between my teeth, which slightly scares Lumineon. He slurps it back into his mouth).
Kyogre: S'alright, Gyarados. (Lumineon sees Blenny make break for it. Swims out of the sub unnoticed), I had a feeling this would be a difficult step; you can help yourself to one of my friends. (Lumineon is about to swim out of the sub when Gyarados grabs him).
Gyarados: Thanks, mate. (Gyarados Hugs Lumineon tight). A little chum for Gyarados, eh? (Lumineon grunts).
Kyogre: I will start the testimonies. Hello, my name is Kyogre.
Dhelmise/Gyarados: Hello, Kyogre...
Kyogre: It has been three weeks since my last fish, on my honor, or may I end up chopped up and made into soup. (Dhelmise and Gyarados clap).
Gyarados: You are an inspiration to all of us!
Dhelmise: Amen! (Lumineon grunts).
Kyogre: Right then. Who is next? (Brionne Raises her Fin).
Brionne: Oh, oh, oh! Pick me! Pick me! Pick me! Pick me!
Kyogre: Yes, the little Lana down the front.
Brionne: Woo!
Kyogre: Come on up here. (As Kyogre makes his way toward Dhelmise and Gyarados, Brionne swims up to the podium).
Brionne: Hi, I am Brionne.
Kyogre/Dhelmise/Gyarados: Hello, Brionne...
Brionne: And, uh, well... I do not think I have ever eaten a Pokémon. (The others Applause).
Gyarados: Hey, that is incredible.
Kyogre: Good on 'ya, mate!
Brionne: Phew, I am glad I got that off my chest.
Kyogre: All right, anyone else? (Kyogre Notices Lumineon). Hello, how 'bout you, mate? What is your problem?
Lumineon: Me? I do not have a problem.
Kyogre: Oh, okay. (Kyogre, Dhelmise, and Gyarados to each other).
Kyogre/Dhelmise/Gyarados: Denial. (Kyogre swats Lumineon to the podium).
Kyogre: Just start with your name. (Lumineon Says Nervously).
Lumineon: Okay... uh, hello, my name is Lumineon, I am a Neon Pokémon.
Gyarados: A Neon Pokémon? Really?
Kyogre: Go on, tell us a joke.
Gyarados: Oh, I love jokes! (Lumineon Says Extremely Nervous).
Lumineon: Well, I truly I do know one that's... surprisingly good. There was this Pyukumuku ― and he walks up to the ― uh, a another Pyukumuku. (As Lumineon butchers the joke again, the Pokémon struggle to keep their grins). Normally they do not talk, Pyukumuku, but in a joke, everyone talks... so the Pyukumuku says to the cucumber ― (Lumineon goes still and stares at a hole in the roof. Hanging from a bent metal is the diver's mask. The image of the diver, raising his net to catch Finneon, who is calling out his father for help, superimposes over the mask. Finneon Shouts).
Finneon: Daddy! (Lumineon Says under his breath).
Lumineon: Finneon... (Fixated on the mask, Lumineon swims past the Others, and begins making his way toward the hole in the roof).
Gyarados: Finneon! (Gyarados laughs). Finneon! (straight). I do not get it. (Kyogre says discreetly).
Kyogre: For a Neon Pokémon, he is not that Bright.
Lumineon: No, no, no. He is my son... He was a victim of a kidnapping by... by these divers. (Lumineon continues to make his way toward the hole in the roof. Brionne Gasps).
Brionne: Oh my, you poor Pokémon. (Brionne begins following Lumineon to the hole in the roof).
Gyarados: Humans. Think they own everything.
Dhelmise: Probably Alolan. (Kyogre Says Moved).
Kyogre: Now there is a father. Lookin' for his little boy... (Outside the hole, Lumineon inspects the mask, with Brionne nearby. He notices writing on the strap).
Lumineon: Oh, what do these markings mean?
Kyogre: I never knew my father! (Kyogre Bursts into tears).
Gyarados: Come here.
Dhelmise: Group hug.
Gyarados: We are all mates here, mate. (Lumineon points the writing out to Brionne).
Lumineon: I cannot read human!
Brionne: Well, then we got to find a Pokémon who can read this! (Looks back into sub). Hey look, everyone!
Lumineon: No, Brionne! (Before Lumineon can react, Brionne scoops up the mask and swims into the sub).
Brionne: Hey guys! Guys, guys, guys ― (Lumineon chases after her before he Grabs the mask).
Lumineon: No, Brionne.
Brionne: Hey! That is mine! (A tug of war between Lumineon and Brionne starts).
Lumineon: Cut it out!
Brionne: Give it back! Gimme! (The mask rubberbands hard into Brionne's face. She clutches her nose. Brionne Says Nasally). Ow!
Lumineon: Oh, I am sorry. Are you okay?
Brionne: Ow. Oh yes. Ow, ow, ow. Wow, you really clocked me there. (Brionne Tilts head back). Am I bleeding? Ow, ow... (She shows Lumineon her nose, as a trickle of blood climbs up in the water, like a tiny red ribbon... right under Kyogre's nose).
Kyogre: Brionne, are you okay ― (Kyogre sniffs the trickle of blood, as it goes up into his nose much quicker than it normally would. His eyes then shifted into darkness). Ooh... that is good!
Dhelmise/Gyarados: Intervention! (Dhelmise and Gyarados pin Kyogre to the wall, and struggle to hold the great Leader back).
Kyogre: Just a bite!
Dhelmise: Now, you hold it together, mate!
Gyarados: Remember, Kyogre! Pokémon are friends, not food!
Kyogre: Food! (Kyogre breaks free, and lunges for Lumineon and Brionne).
Lumineon: Brionne, look out! (Kyogre overshoots them; the two Pokémon swim away with the mask, and escape through a grate in the floor).
Brionne: Ah! (Lumineon and Brionne swim down through the corridor full of piping and duct work. Kyogre smashes through the grate).
Kyogre: I am having Pokémon tonight! (Kyogre gives chase as Gyarados and Dhelmise stick their heads through the hole he has made).
Gyarados: Remember the steps, mate! The steps! (In the corridor, Lumineon and Brionne weave through the dark maze with Kyogre right on their tails. Their swiftness was enough to keep them ahead of Kyogre, but the mask was slowing them down with its mask).
Kyogre: Just one bite! (Lumineon and Brionne shoot up through another grate. Kyogre stays in the sub-level below them, his dorsal fin knocking out grates as he goes. The rabid Pokémon smashes through the floor grate onto their level). G'day!
Lumineon/Brionne: Ah! (The two Pokémon speed around a cracked open door with ease and swim into the torpedo room, but the bulky Kyogre slams into it, knocking it closed. Lumineon frantically searches the room for a way to escape).
Lumineon: There is no way out! There needs to be a way to escape! (Kyogre repeatedly slams the door, trying to go into the torpedo room. Brionne Says Singsong).
Brionne: Who is it?
Lumineon: Brionne, help me find a way out! (Brionne Says to Kyogre).
Brionne: Sorry. You will have to come back later. We are trying to escape. (Another pound. A bolt pops off the door that is beginning to bend inwards...).
Lumineon: There is no way out... there needs to be a way out! (Brionne swims to the top of the room, eyeing a valve handle with the words "ESCAPE HATCH" printed on it).
Brionne: Look, here is something: "es-cap-é" I wonder what that means. It is funny because it spells just like the word "escape."
Lumineon: Let us go!
Brionne: Ah! (Lumineon grabs her, and escapes through the hatchway with the mask. Kyogre forces his snout through the gap he made in the doorway).
Kyogre: HERE'S KYOGREY! (Lumineon and Brionne swim out of the hatch with the mask, arriving at the top of the submarine. Lumineon stops short, having realized something about Brionne).
Lumineon: Wait a minute, you can read?
Brionne: I can read? (Brionne remembers). That is right, I can read! (Lumineon Lifts the Mask).
Lumineon: W-well, then here, read this now! (Kyogre bursts through the sub's rusted hull, right under the two Pokémon. His teeth wrench the mask from their fins, where it stays, dangling. The screaming Lumineon and Brionne are going down the length of the wreck. Gyarados and Dhelmise once again stick their heads through the hole Kyogre has made).
Dhelmise: He really does not mean it. You know, he never even knew his father!
Gyarados: Do not fall off the wagon! (At the bow, Lumineon and Brionne bank a hard right, swimming down into the torpedo tube... loaded with a torpedo).
Lumineon: Oh, no, it is stuck! (Kyogre slams his snout into the tube, trying to ferret out the Pokémon. He is too big. Dhelmise and Gyarados catch up).
Dhelmise: No, Kyogre! Focus! (Blinded by his hunger, Kyogre ignores them and slams his teeth into the tube. Dhelmise and Gyarados stick their heads into the opening, between impacts).
Gyarados: Sorry about ― (slam!). ― Kyogre, mate. (Slam!).
Dhelmise: He is really ― (slam!). ― a nice guy! (With each slam, the torpedo shakes, but it Stays in place by a loose bolt which blocks its path. Lumineon stares desperately at the mask, still dangling from Kyogre's teeth).
Lumineon: I need to get that mask!
Brionne: Do you want that mask? Okay! (Brionne pushes in the bolt. The torpedo slides forward, shoving the screaming Pokémon straight into Kyogre's mouth. He bites down hard, but his jaws lock on the torpedo).
Lumineon: Quick, grab the mask! Grab it! (Together, Lumineon and Brionne pick up the mask, and safely race back into the torpedo tube. Kyogre spits out the torpedo tube in anger).
Dhelmise: Oh, no.
Gyarados: Kyogre? (Kyogre quickly snapped out of his primal instincts, with his eyes shifting out of the darkness and back to normal).
Kyogre: What? (The Pokémon show the torpedo arcing gracefully towards the minefield). Swim away, swim away! (Kyogre, Dhelmise, and Gyarados retreat, already knowing what will happen if the minefield was disrupt. Brionne peeks out of the tube).
Brionne: Aw, is the party over? (The torpedo simply lands onto a floating mine. It explodes, causing a chain reaction of explosions, shaking everything caught in the waves of heat).
