BraveStar of ThunderClan: Thanks for the support! Sorry for the long wait.

Author's Note:

Today is the last day before I go back to school. I KNOW, it's weird going back to school on a TUESDAY. This whole year was weird.

So yeah, without further ado, let's do this!

Cats mingled around the camp, mostly around the apprentice den, where Cherrypaw was hiding. However, she was deep in the darkness where no one could see her.

Firestar was watching this, concerned. How are they going to react?

Already, cats were talking about whatever happened.

"What happened last night? Cherrypaw had wings and scales!"

"Something about a stone lodged in her...?"

"Can she really become a warrior like this?"

"Become a warrior?! She looked like she was going to tear us apart, maybe she shouldn't even be in the clan!"

Firestar hissed at the last comment and headed over to the warriors who made it. "I'll have you know, Cherrypaw is still no different than you or me. So, if you have any complaints, take them to the Ancient Oak." Spiderleg, the warrior who actually made the comment, opened his mouth to protest, causing Foxleap to put his tail in Spiderleg's mouth. The other warriors looked at Firestar, who was making it clear no nasty comments would be made about the young apprentice.

"You were really about to argue with our leader?!" Foxleap meowed in shock at Spiderleg, whose ears were flattened.

Jayfeather, who had gone to see Cherrypaw, quickly went out of the den and grabbed a plump squirrel. He went back in the den and out again, now not having the squirrel.

"Is she okay?" Firestar asked worriedly when Jayfeather padded past.

"She's fine. Still a bit worried from what she did last night, but she's taking it... kind of well?"

He narrowed his eyes at Jayfeather. "You seem a bit scared. If you say she's okay..." Firestar paused for a second. "Please don't tell me you're actually scared of her."

"No, I'm not scared of her. I'm scared of what she can do. I mean, you told me that she practically strangled Ashpaw."

"What she needs then is our support," Firestar told him.

"Then cats need to support her. It's going to be tough, however, given that every cat is so wary. I need to figure out if the stone came from StarClan or not."

"And if it didn't come from StarClan?"

Jayfeather stopped to think, and Firestar thought of one himself. "It came from the sky, right? Even if it didn't come from there, we could just say it did. The clan could be placated..."

"Or they could turn their anger on StarClan, which isn't what we need, because of... you know..."

"Yes... but the Clan doesn't really seem to care for some reason. They're wary of her, but she isn't really an important part of the Clan to most cats yet."

"What about her mother? Her father? Molepaw? Even Ashpaw, probably, although he's too new to the Clans and might not believe in StarClan. If we say it's from StarClan, there will always be some mad cats."

"That makes sense... so we don't say it's from StarClan?"

"Remember, I'm trying to figure out if it is from them. If it is, we can't lie. If it isn't is what we're talking about.

Firestar walked into the apprentices' den to check on Cherrypaw, who was apparently choking Ashpaw again.

"Jayfeather, I thought she was back to normal!"

This took me unnecessarily long to write, and I have no idea why.

If you enjoyed, please leave a review, like always!
