A/N:- I am so sorry for the delay. I apologize for the long wait. Actually first I had my semester exams then a few of them got postponed, then I had my competitive exams, advanced level, once my competitive exams were over, then came the semester exams which were postponed. I am so sorry for the delay. Now I will update all my stories starting from this one.

Rewind:- A few days back, in a road leading out of Mystic Falls, in a car,

Stefan, "You've wanted Klaus dead for 500 years. Why would you risk all that trying to save Damon's life?"

Katherine, "I wasn't just trying to save Damon's life, Stefan. I was trying to save yours. Your humanity. Let's just say I like the old you better.

Stefan rolls his head disbelieving everything she said, then looks at her and tells her, "Nah. Come on Katherine. You don't care about anyone but yourself. You never have."

Without even blinking or giving another thought to it Katherine answers, "You and I both know that it's not true. I loved you and I love Damon too." Then she looks at the road and says, "Humanity is a vampire's greatest weakness. No matter how easy it is to turn it off, it just keeps trying to fight its way back in." Then turns to him, him being one of the reminder of her human emotions, she says, "Sometimes I let it."

Stefan was in deep thought, he knew Katherine was trying to convince him to turn it on, he turns to her and tells her, "I can't let it all back in. I don't want to. Not after everything I have done."

The ball was in Katherine's court now, she knew she had Stefan wrapped around her finger enough, now was the time to manipulate him to do what she wanted to be done. Pretending to understand him, she tells him, "Of course you don't want to. But if you don't let yourself feel, you won't be able to do what I need you to do next."

Stefan looks at her and wonders "What's that?"

"Get mad." She tells him.

Of course this was the night Katherine gave Stefan the idea to steal of all of Klaus' family, Klaus had seen her, Klaus' father was dead, Elena was the human blood bag, being his endless supply source for creation of his hybrids, she knew with so many hybrids being around him it would be a piece of cake for him to find her.

The best way for Katherine to save herself was to keep Klaus busy, and she knew that Klaus' family was his weakness, among all her minions no one had the courage to do what she told Stefan to do. She knew that Klaus had hurt Stefan so bad that Stefan would do anything for revenge, so she pushed his buttons. She made Stefan steal Klaus' family so that Klaus's all attention would be focused on getting his siblings back while she would get enough time to distance herself from Mystic Falls and Klaus Mikaelson.

Just as in 1864, back then it were the vampires who were overpowered by humans and now it is the Salvatores and the entire Mystic Gang, she doesn't mind even if Klaus burns them to death. All that matters to her and all that which has ever mattered to her is she, herself.

When Stefan called and informed Katherine that the witches have given Bonnie a sign that whatever is in the fourth coffin will help them take down Klaus.

Katherine to herself in head, "Wow. I didn't think you would make it survive so long. Even after stealing Klaus' family from him. I thought you would be dead by now."

Katherine to Stefan on phone, "You got another way to put Klaus down, guess we're lucky." While talking to him she was sitting in a restaurant with a male, who was drooling all over her, kissing her knuckles slowly. "Anyway, tell me when you truly get rid of Klaus, then I will call you." She disconnects.

The man on whose lap she was sitting, holds her chin and turns her to face him, "You want rid of someone, I can do that." He steals a kiss on her lips. Katherine turns around completely and now straddles him, "Yes, until you know how to get rid of a one thousand year old original vampire, I don't think you would be of much help."

She places her lips on his, but he breaks the kiss this time and tells her, "And what if I tell you I can get you rid of the original vampire and the infamous Petrova doppelganger you're so jealous of."

Katherine pulls her face back and tells him, "Uh, how come you're not compelled."

The man chuckles and says, "Oh please." He snaps his fingers and in seconds Katherine is sitting on her chair and rose petals fall on her, "I am a witch" he tells her, "And I was letting you feed on me because I loved you since the minute I saw you. Tell me what will you do if I get you rid of your original vampire."

Katherine looks at him and thinks, she has always used men who were taken away by her charm for her own good, and she is very much willing to use this man too. She asks him, "Anything you want? First tell me what is it you want from me in return?"

"Marry me" he says holding a ring out.

And Katherine smiles, she has never been proposed for marriage, yes, she has loved and flirted a lot but she has never, ever thought of marrying someone, the marital proposal does make her happy and she says, "Okay, when you get me rid of Elena Gilbert, I will be engaged to you, I will accept this ring as an engagement ring, but when you get me rid of Klaus Mikaelson, I will marry you, and I will throw a grand Wedding using compulsion, hiring the venue of your choice."

The man smirks, "Fine, there is a celestial event a few weeks later, on that day, both Elena Gilbert and Klaus Mikaelson, will disappear from this plane forever."

Katherine squints, "I'll see when it works, until then, bye." She disappears and the man laughs. Of course he did what he said, he created the prison world and he sent both Klaus and Elena into it.

Present.

Elena reaches the Salvatore house first, she runs inside calling Stefan's name, "Stefan, Stefan" but no response. She looks around the entire mansion, looks for signs of struggle or blood but nothing, just pin drop silence, until, she hears a car. She runs towards the balcony, she opens the door and sees a car approaching the mansion, she was at a distance and her human eyes could not see who it was in the car.

She assumes that it is Stefan, she smiles, she runs inside, down the stairs, towards the door but when the door opens, she stops, all the excitement she had to see Stefan is gone, in fact it is the last person she had wanted to see. It is Klaus Mikaelson standing at the door of the house, all her excitement to see Stefan, all her fear that screamed what if Klaus had killed them, everything combines to turn into one emotion and that is rage, when she looks at him now, all she feels is anger, all she feels is rage.

Until now, she always bowed to him because she feared that he would kill everyone she has ever loved and now that she is living in that nightmare, it really doesn't matter to her what Klaus thinks, what Klaus feels, to her, at this moment, Klaus is just a monster, a monster who turned her beloved home town into a ghost town. She takes slow steps towards him, her emotions so high, so hot, so enraged that she fails to notice that Klaus is just as furious as she is.

On seeing her walk towards him and stand just a few feet before him, he just smirks and tilts his head.
